Name: Kagekatsu Uesugi (Cage-cat-so U-sugee)

Gender: Male

Appearance: Kagekatsu has the appearance of a brave warrior, his hair is medium length barely reaching beyond his neck and usually held back with a white tie in a low ponytail. His eyes are almond shape and usually filled with a coldness that would make others hesitant to talk to.

Weapon of choice: Katana and Wakizashi on his left hip.

Personality: Harsh and Cruel. Those two words are the best to describe his personality he doesn't like showing too much emotion because he thinks it should only should be shown around people he knows personally or around his wife.

Background:

Uesugi Kenshin was the daimyo for this clan and Kagekatsu was adopted into the family. Kenshin had many adopted sons but no real sons of his own.

Kagekatsu before being adopted had been leading down the road of being a ronin. His family from before had been attacked by some rogues. He never found out who had done it but everything he once knew was gone. This went from family to his sensei.

When everything was burning he managed to save his katana his most prized gift left to him by his sensei when he had finished his training.

He had been fighting a group of rogue samurai he had told himself that he would attack any rogues as they were the ones who caused his own loss. Lucky Kenshin had seen him and saw his potential and quickly adopted him into the family. He was only fifteen when this all happened.

Ever since that day he promised he would honor his new family and only bring good fortunes to it's name. It was the least he could do after everything that they had done for him. They had saved him from becoming something he so much dreaded and would only bring shame and dishonor

The year of his twenties he married Haruhi Gyun it had been arranged between them since it was a lower clan that wanted them to unite. Kagekatsu stepped up to the marriage and saw the beauty Haruhi had. They both soon fell in love. Kagekatsu trusted her the most besides his sensei.

Important side characters with them: His father Uesugi Kenshin, brother Takahiro, and his wife Haruhi Gyun and his new sensei Hiroki Tanaka.

What influences their decisions in battle: Wisdom and Honor, it's the wisdom that his sensei has taught him to be wise in the choices he makes. Honor to himself is what he cares about but it's also the honor he has for his father Kenshin.

Belief: Like his clan leader he believes deeply in Bishamonten the buddhist god of war. Plus bringing honor to his family name and his wife.

Additional information about their clan: Uesugi family rules over the Echigo province during the Sengoku era. They had a member that went rogue but they managed to hide that because they knew it would bring shame to the family. They are well trained in battle, and have years of wisdom with them.

Fun Fact: Kagekatsu was actually an adopted son of his. I decided to play around with this character maybe transform him into something...

Mitsuhide Akechi: "I do not believe that there is  disgrace in becoming a ronin, despite what people say and believe. Hold true to your own beliefs, and do not let anyone else tell you any differently."

Hideyoshi Hashiba: "I'm sorry for what the rogues did to your family, Uesugi-san. Remembering the lessons that your sensei taught you, and honoring your father for how he helped you is the best that you can do."

Magoichi Saika: "The Uesugi's are a proud clan. You were lucky to be found by them. It's a shame, though, that Haruhi-chan is married to you though. She would have been fun."

Ishida Mitsunari: "There is nothing wrong with seeking revenge to those who killed your family. Perhaps one day you will find those rogues and then you can kill them all."
