Savvy: so I have been busy all day and couldn't write this until right now at 10:30pm. Here's how my day went:
1.Woke up didn't know what day it was.
2. Went to my first period found out the date but my Spanish teacher didn't say anything about it.
3. My health science teacher showed us the announcements along with a 9/11 video which made my heart drop.
4. American History 1, we watch CNN Student News and it showed things from the museum in New York which completely silenced the class. The teacher had to break the silence when all I wanted to do was cry because I was so shocked.
5. Honors English 3 and Pep Rally, didn't say anything about 9/11
6. Went to the football game it started raining and I felt as though the souls of those lost were cleansing us from our forgetfulness.
7. We lost our game.
I remember my dad always shared with us what happened on that faithful day. He was about to go to work and I was two. My brother was in Kindergarten I believe and we were watching Good Morning America and it showed the towers before anything happened and that's when the first plane crashed. Everyone was going nuts on television.
The point is, this happened in my timeline. I should take the time out of my day and remember those lost today and the families and friends who lost someone. It kills me inside that innocent people and animals lost their lives to a horrific event such as the twin towers attack, the pentagon attack, and the plane crash/hijack in the field.
