What and who inspired you into reading and/or writing?

I've always had a passion for reading and writing. I've always loved it, so reading different books & seeing these authors bring stories to life really influenced me.

What was the first book that you read that started your love for reading?

The Bluford Series

What was the turning point in your life that you decided to take your writing seriously?

I was about 13 or 14 and I would write on notebook paper like I would write plays. I thought I had a good hobby, so I decided to sign up for Wattpad and give it a try!

Do you outline your stories or write whatever comes to mind?

A little bit of both.

What is your method of beginning to writing a book?

I have to have my favorite song on repeat to concentrate.

Do you ever get attached to the characters in your story? If so, what part of their personality or quirks do you find relatable?

Yes, I do get attached! I find the "too nice" personality to be relatable. I'm a very sweet person & I've been told that I'm too nice.

Do you base your characters on people in your personal life, imagination, or both?

I try to base my characters out of imagination, but with real-life scenarios that happen to people.

What is the best part of writing a story?

Bringing the characters and their stories to life that the reader can relate to and enjoy.

Would you want to see your story or stories be adapted? If so, who would you want to play your characters?

Yes, seeing my story become adapted would be cool. I would definitely love to see the cast of the New Edition Story star in it. I have a series called Brother 2 Brother which makes Keith, Algee, Elijah, Luke, Bryshere & Woody are brothers. I love to see those beautiful black men act because they are so talented. So I would choose those 6.

What kind of advice would you give to an aspiring writer?

Don't give up on your dream. I've always had a passion for writing and reading. It's something about writing that makes me happy on the inside. It's okay if everyone doesn't like what you write, or they aren't interested. Just as long as you trust God and keep believing in yourself, it will all work out!
