Stepping into Layla's apartment you get hit with the strong smell of plant life and the faint smell of rain. Everywhere you look you can see plants of all sizes, colours and types; each with their own rain cloud. Layla is a lot like me. We are the rare type that has more than one power. Layla is what's called a green warden, where she can make any plant grow even from thin air and her second power is controlling water which explains the rain clouds, but that's not the rare part. There are a lot of green wardens, all with different elemental combinations. The rare part is since Layla can control time around a person or object.

For me, I am what's called a shadow walker. I'm able to transform and levitate objects like others which are called light walkers, but the shadow part comes from sharing my body with a demon called shadow. Funny thing is my demon's name is Shadow. Shadow is there to protect to me, but others look at me with disgust; well not Layla.

The further I walk into Layla's apartment, the more plants you see. While I wait for Layla to put my bags in my room, I concentrated; the energy of the magic born is closer. Layla comes back carrying what looked like passes for PAX. We quickly grab the necessities before heading off to the location of for PAX. The closer we get to the convention, the stronger the energy gets.

As step out of Layla's car, I start to get really light headed.
"You ok?" Layla came running to my side. I nod, slowly regaining my balance.
"There's a magic born here; I can feel it." We make our way in to the convention, more determined than ever before to find who this mysterious person is.
