Deep within the forest behind Hongjoong's house, there's a little run down cubby house. This cubby house was significant to Hongjoong in his younger years, because his dad built it for him. Eventually, Hongjoong forgot it existed, but beyond that cubby house lied something far beyond anything anyone had ever seen.
Hongjoong was about to find out about this amazing and wonderful world that was kept hidden for years. This world had manifested out of seemingly nowhere, but it had evolved over what was several millenia in that world, and close to 100 years in Hongjoong's world.
The currently blue haired boy threw his backpack on the floor just inside the door, muttering sourly to himself as he sighed. He glanced in the slightly dusty mirror hanging up in the hallway, and grimaced as he noticed the bruise that had barely been there earlier on his eye was turning a dark purplish blue colour.
"Sweetie, welcome ho-oh my goodness! Is that a black eye!?" His mother screeched, rushing to him.
"Mum, ma, it's fine! Stop fussing!" Hongjoong groaned, trying to shove his mother away.
"Hun, lemme at least look at it!" His mother huffed, crossing her arms and tried her best to look frustrated.
Hongjoong chuckled, "Ma~ you know you're no good at that"
His mother sighed in defeat, shaking her head, "going for a wander in the forest again?"
"Yeah" Hongjoong nodded, slipping into his leather boots.
"Well, don't be too long alright? I worry about you going in there you know" his mother frowned.
"I won't be too long mum. I love you" he smiled and kissed her cheek.
"I love you too my beautiful son" his mother hummed, watching as her son walked out the backdoor, jumped over the small fence and wandered off into the forest.
As he walked, he listened to the creak of the tall trees as they swayed in the gentle wind and breathed in the fresh air. He felt better already, being in his safe haven. He stopped for a second, taking in his surroundings.
He could hear the chirping of little birds, and also the screeching of small baby birds. Considering it was Springtime, it wasn't that surprising. There were flowers growing as well; their petals soft and newly bloomed.
Hongjoong breathed in the sweet scent, and continued to walk. He walked further than he ever had, and the forest grew just a little darker. The trees grew slightly taller and the light from the setting sun was disappearing fast.
"Huh, I've definitely walked further than usual" Hongjoong frowned.
He went to walk back the way he came, but something stopped him from doing so. He felt a pull towards the cubby house that he saw, and he tilted his head. As if by some magical force, he walked forwards, past the small structure and deeper into the woods.
He grew dizzy and light headed, and without realising nor seeing it, he had unknowingly entered an unfamiliar realm.
"W-why do I f-feel so..." Hongjoong trailed off, stumbling forward and promptly passing out.
However, before he completely blacked out, he heard soft voices arguing above him...
Fair warning, the chapters might fluctuate in length. I'm guessing chapters are most likely going to be in between 500-1500 words in length at the most but idk 🤷
