I'm kind of on the edge tonight
'Cause I'm struggling with lines to write
All I want is to hold you tight
But to say, that'd be too black and white

If I'd had the right accessories
I'd suffocate my memories
I wouldn't care if they're wrong or right
If I could maybe feel alright

Sounds like a fault I headed into
But so does holding onto you
Why do I even try to touch
When you're just a dream to only watch

These last couple of days
I've been feeling like a man who strays
From home that is to be with you
But I'll find my way back to you

'Cause I won't doubt us anymore
I know we're more than we've been before
Time has passed, so did our past
But they've been outlasted by us

And I may have been on the edge tonight
But I'll make an effort to rewrite
Who cares if it's too black and white?
When all I want is to hold you tight
