AURORA'S POV

I nuzzled my face on Liam's chest and he chuckled, the vibrations making my body warm all over and Cora...

Well Cora is in her own heaven, purring like a cat which she isn't.

Cora scoffed. It's not my fault, I've missed him a lot.

"We have to go somewhere quiet if we wanna talk" I spoke up. Liam tugged my hair making me look you at him "I've got that covered, am to guard this area for the rest of the night".

"Well that was thoughtful of you", I smiled at up him. He grinned back "we have a lot to talk about and within a short time so I've got to make the most of it".

Isn't he just tooooo good. Cora purred.

And let's not talk about the images in her head.

Down girl, down.

Turning to Liam I shrugged and tried standing up "well you should get comfortable, it's quiet a long story".

He shook his head tightening his grip, "you're gonna sit right where you are".

I squirmed on his lap, my cheeks heating up when I felt him.

Listen up girly, you better sit your ass down and let me feel him Okay?

Cora stop it.

I can't, not when I can feel him.

CORA stop with the horny thoughts.

Aurora stop being horny. She mocked.

Ignoring Cora I turned to Liam and tried to ignore the feelings he invoked in me.

And Cora is right, I need to stop the horny thoughts. Focusing on Liam I wiggled on his lap again making him let out a groan.

"Well what do you wanna know?", Using his hand on my waist he turned me so I was straddling him, my face pressed against his chest. "Everything, I want to know everything Aurora, so you can start from anywhere".

Taking a much needed air I pressed closer to his chest.

"I was pretty much bullied all my life so I hated everyone in the pack. But it actually became more than hatred when Rex rejected me during his alpha initiation ceremony....".

I held my breath, my eyes tightly closed and my fist clenched.

He was quiet, way too quiet and I didn't know what to make of it. I couldn't even sense his emotions.

He hates us Cora, am pretty sure he's gonna tell Maxwell about us.

For once Cora didn't have a reply, even she can't tell what's going on in our mates mind.

"You should breath" Liam spoke softly breaking the tensed silence, his hands slowly rubbing my back.

Taking his advice, I breathed deeply my nerves almost jumping out when he suddenly stood up and pushed me down by the edge of the rock.

I was about to say something when I heard the snap of a branch.

Someone's here. Don't move. Liam said through the link.

Okay. I answered back holding my breath. The minute the scent got to me I frowned, my chest constricting.

"Liam, what a pleasant surprise to see you here. Mind telling me why you're here?" Maxwell sneered.

Liam scoffed "I should ask you the same thing, unlike you am here on duty. So why are you here by this time?".

"Checking up on you, I was actually worried when I couldn't find you in your room".

How fast can you get into the water?. Liam linked

Real fast if he gets distracted. I answered immediately.

No sooner had I said it Liam walked up to Maxwell and gripped him turning him from my direction, "why the fuck were you in my room? He growled loudly "what did I say about you sneaking into my room".

Knowing that was my cue, I slipped into the water as quiet as possible, the water splashing up a bit.

Liam's voice must have alerted some guards, I saw two running to our direction. When they saw the two men and sensed the tension they both shuffled back a bit not sure how to handle the situation.

The braver one of the two cleared his throat "what's going on?".

Maxwell let out a little laugh "nothing to worry about, my nephew and I were just having a little chat that got out of hand".

The guards looked unsure but nodded. Maxwell looked round and began strolling towards the rock where I had been hiding, he turned to the guards "you can leave now, Liam and I aren't done talking".

"I've got nothing to say to you Maxwell" Liam gritted out. But Maxwell shrugged, "well I don't plan on going inside till we're done talking".

If I was panicked before, am certainly freaking out now.

Shit, what do we do now?. Cora growled.

"Well since you don't want to leave, am going to be the mature person and leave". Liam growled, then turned and jumped into the water just few inches from where I was.

He raised his head up "am going to cool off, see you around and I better not see you in my room".

He went back into the water but reached me through the link.

Lead the way baby, but try to be as subtle as possible.

Okay.

Moving as slow as possible, I swam ahead while Maxwell kept calling Liam's name.

I opened the door to my hotel room, gesturing to Liam to go ahead.

Looking back I saw a trail of water down the hallway wall, a giggle escaping my lips when I remembered the looks we got from the people in the lobby.

"What's so funny?" Liam asked walking towards me. He had ditched his shirt, his toned and muscled chest on display, his trouser hung low on his hips and I could see the v-shape valley not to mention the bulge present. He was certainly a sight to behold even with a towel drying his hair.

"You look edible and sexy right now and am pretty sure I look like a drenched rat" I mumbled.

Liam laughed loudly, the sound warming me up as I shut the door. He walked to me a smile on his face but the look in his eyes froze me.

Oh shit, I just want him to eat me up right now. Cora mumbled and I didn't disagree.

He was so close to me I could feel the heat emitting from his bare chest, leaning down he brushed his lips against my ears making me shudder, "I don't think you know just how irresistible you look right now". Leaning further he placed a kiss beneath my ears making me gasp "you're too much of a temptation and it's not helping my sanity".

Standing straight he took some steps back "I suggest you get cleaned up before I do something reckless. There's still some towels in the bathroom".

I scurried to the bathroom room breathless. Looking at my appearance I cringed, my hair band must have fallen off at some point which led to my hair getting stuck to my face and back, my eyes were bright and my face looked wrinkly probably from staying in the water for long.

How in the world do I look tempting to him.

Sighing I took off my clothes and turned on the shower. I had just finished when I remembered I didn't have a change of clothes.

"Ummm Liam?" I called out.

"Aurora is something wrong?" I could tell he was just close to the door. I coughed lightly, blushing even when he couldn't see me, "well umm, I may have uuh...left my clothes in the room and I uuh..."

He chuckled cutting me short, "I'll leave the room for you to change". I sighed in relief glad I didn't have to spell it out "thanks".

When I heard the door shut, I came out and headed straight to the small closet in the room taking out some clothes and hastily putting it on.

When I opened the door I saw Liam, leaning by the door, still shirtless "hey am done". He looked up with a smile, "I need some clothes and am not sure how to get it since I didn't come prepared".

"I'll be right back". Rushing back to the room I took my card and phone and went back outside, only to find Liam with a lady.

And boy does he look ready to kill. Cora mumbled.

Grinning widely I strolled to Liam hugging him from behind, his body relaxing under me, the lady glared at me, I was tempted to snarl back but I didn't. Taking hold of Liam's hand I pulled him back to the room.

"I think you should stay in while I get you some clothes" I grumbled. He raised his brows at me with a smirk "jealous?".

Blushing I scoffed "me, jealous.. pfft no...I just...you know...I don't want any casualties".

He let out a laugh "go on then, I'll be here when you get back". "And I'll be back before you know it" Smiling I walked out but my smile died the moment I got on the elevator.

I may have been cool and all but am honestly freaking out. Liam hasn't said anything about all I told him and his emotions didn't even give me a hint.

Calm down Aurora, am sure he's still processing the news. It's a lot to take in. Cora advised.

I nodded still not convinced.

Walking back to the room I linked with Liam. Please open up.

He flung the door open, his eyes widening at the bags I held.

"Am sure I would have been okay with just a shirt and trouser not a full wardrobe". I chuckled "they're just necessities and not all are yours".

Dropping the bags at the foot of the bed I handed him the bag which held his clothes and he went to the bathroom.

I went ahead to set out the food I had gotten and stashed the other things I bought into the closet.

They would be useful for later.

I had just sat back on the bed when Liam stepped out his nose flaring when he noticed the food, he pulled the table towards the bed and kept the chair behind it. So I was sitting opposite him on the bed while he sat in the chair with the food spread on the table between us.

Breakfast was quite and I couldn't help but feel super nervous at the thought of what would be discussed.

When we finished I cleared the trash while he rearranged the table and chair. When he was done he laid on the bed, his back against the headboard.

I nervously made my way to the bed and was about to sit at the edge but he moved quickly pulling me on his lap so I was sitting facing him. "Hy" he smirked wrapping my hair round his finger.

I blushed and lowered my face, "hi". He chuckled, nuzzling his face in my neck, his breath tickling me. We sat in this position for a long while before he spoke up.

"As you know Maxwell is my uncle, and well he's done a lot that would make me consider him a threat than a family". He took a deep breath "my parents were the best people in the whole world, my dad would always drag me out for runs in the woods and mum would fuss over me, aunt Lola who's Maxwell's mate, was my mum's best friend and she was just like my mum ensuring I was always comfortable".

"Before mum meet Dad she was a weak wolf, didn't have a full wolf gene in her but Maxwell changed that. He was always the smart science student so it was normal for him to lock himself in his room trying out different stuffs. That was until he got whatever he got that made mom different. She became stronger, faster, smarter and all. Then she met her mate and all was good till she found out she couldn't convince, guess Maxwell's enhancement altered her biological system. Anyways Maxwell did series of test till he came up with a solution which would be artificial insemination".

Using his hand he combed through my hair the action making me lean towards his chest.

"Right after I was born it was obvious I was different, aside from being more enhanced than other kids, I kinda had two wolves which Maxwell attributed to the fact that my mum was enhanced and my dad a normal wolf, so I had two wolves in me or should I say that Xavier was the one with double personality".

"It was okay at first, they are both balanced until my enhanced wolf became more aggressive and angry. It was difficult to control him. Xavier would sometimes attack someone and I won't have a recollection of doing that but after a while I learnt how to control him".

His body suddenly got more tensed, I could tell that whatever he wanted to say wasn't good. Running my hand through his hair I urged him on.

"It was just like any other day, dad and I playing round, mum and Aunt Lola talking when Maxwell ran over saying we were under attack by rouges. Mum carried me in trying to shield my face from the sight of dead bloody bodies, but I could see what was going on and I saw how Maxwell killed his mate. When mum took me back to my room she told me to stay put. But I was eager to see what was happening. Guess I got more than I bargained for".

"After all rouges were killed Maxwell murdered my parents, and he had the guts to come fetch me from my room, saying that the rouges got them. That night when he took me back home acting all sad and heartbroken, I knew it was all a lie so I made up my mind on one thing I needed".

"Revenge" I completed for him. He looked down at me with a smile "yeah. Revenge at all costs and I don't plan on changing my mind on it".

I leaned up, kissing his nose "well I wouldn't want you changing your mind either".

He kissed my cheeks "I stayed with Maxwell, enduring all he did you me". I frowned "what do you mean?".

He shrugged "Maxwell used me as his lab rat, trying out different shits on me and all. With time the normal part of Xavier died, leaving only a beast created by a selfish bastard. Guess you can say am a beast only am created not cursed".

I nodded with a smile "does this make me beauty and you the beast?"

He grinned at me before turning serious "am sorry about your adopted parents, knowing it's the assassins that killed them doesn't help and I understand if you want to break up...".

Flicking his forehead I cut him short, "am the one who should be worried not you, I plan on killing your uncle".

Liam chuckled "well so long I get a turn with Rex and your parents for what they did to you, then we have a deal".

"You never said how you figured out it was me" I mentioned.

Liam shrugged, "well you didn't leave any trace and I wouldn't know if I hadn't been nosy. The day I saw you at the creek, the elders got me pissed, so I went to you room to cool off. I didn't mean to snoop round but I went through you laptop, encrypting and hacking into you files were hard but when I did I saw all you saved".

He looked down at me "you're really organised and am jealous. I don't think my revenge plan is as arranged and perfect as yours". He placed a kiss on my hair "and that's what makes you perfect for me"

I smiled widely and went back to tugging his hair. "So in conclusion, you're being called incomplete because you can't control Xavier and also because you were kinda created not convinced?".

"Yeah" he answered unsurely his eyes vulnerable.

Rising on my knees I give him a long deep kiss. When we broke up for air I pecked his lips once more "well incomplete or not, you're mine. Besides I know Xavier would never hurt me".

He smiled down at me "am glad you know that. But so you know, you're the reason Xavier's been able to control himself".

I giggled "yeah Luke mentioned that".

He raised his brows "now about Luke, wanna tell me how you did it. I think I wanna stage Rex's kidnap".

I laughed loudly "well I overheard Maxwell and Rex on the night of my birthday, they had some how convinced Luke to bring me to the creek. Plus I know I needed Luke, he's an assassin and I need info".

Liam chuckled shaking he's head, "well that was unexpected. Am glad it worked out well but where did you hide him?".

I smiled "I'll show you"

We were both quiet again before Liam spoke "the Alphas plan on luring you out by holding an event with hopes you will be present to create problems".

I smriked "well I wouldn't even be present on the day of the event, just a day before so I can cause my trouble uninterrupted".

Liam laughed "that's exactly what I had in mind, for whatever they plan on holding next, you would come to the pack territory a day to the even. And I know just the event the Alphas will pick".

I tilted my head "what event is that?".

"The ID ceremony. And I know just what you should do" Liam smirked.
