"How're you doing after yesterday's incident?" Neil asked as he gave me my coffee.

"Good actually".

"So are you gonna say where you were yesterday"

I shrugged "someplace quiet".

Neil kept quiet after that. It was then I noticed that I didn't see Dave or the girls anywhere.

"Where's the rest of the guys?"

"Yeah, they left early to secure your car. We didn't see it at the garage during our morning run, so they went early to ensure it was safe till whenever you come back. Am your ride to school".

I was moved by their gesture, "thanks Neil" I said.

Smiling he moved ahead, "let's go before were late for class".

When we got to school, I saw Mary, Kate and Dave by my car.

"Oh my God, Aurora you're back" Dave squealed loudly and hugged me.

What is it with him screaming like a girl, Cora grumbled.

I laughed and awkwardly patted his back, when he let loose Mary hugged me next, followed by Kate.

At least they didn't scream.

"Hey guys, thanks for watching over my car".

Dave waved his hand before grabbing my shoulders "where the hell where you, we were worried sick".

Peeling his hands off me, I took some steps back, "I went somewhere quiet to clear my head Dave".

He nodded "am glad you're okay", he suddenly widened his eyes and jumped around. Then he started screaming again "girl you won't believe what happened after you left, it was soooo epic".

"Ummm Dave, lay off the shouting a bit" Kate pleaded while placing her hands on her ears

You're right let's rip his vocal cords or cut his tongue Cora grumbled.

Luckily the bell for the first class rang and I didn't have to decide when to cut his tongue.

"I'll see you guys during lunch", I quickly went to my class.

On my way to class I noticed that almost everyone was starting at me, some smiled other waved and as usual some haters glared at me.

On getting to class the teacher was yet to begin so I went to my usual seat at the back and strangely everyone was staring at me.

When I sat down Luke turned to me "hello dear friend".

Ok it's official, am shocked, I looked behind me to be sure that there was no one behind me.

"Luke, are you talking to me?"

"Of course I am" he scoffed, "we are friends aren't we?".

I was about to deny it but I remembered my plans.

A smile came to my face, "yes we are friends Luke, I was just making sure".

He grinned broadly, "does this mean I get to join your crew and sit with you guys  at lunch?".

I shrugged, "yeah but you gotta ask the guys that. And it's a team not a crew or clique".

He nodded excitedly then turned forward.

The teacher called the attention of the class and began his lecture.

All through the classes we had, Rex and Nathan kept staring at me. Jenny was always trying to gain Rex's attention but was unsuccessful, at one point he growled at her.

Even at the library or when I walked the hallways, people were suddenly saying hi to me or complimenting me. Some guys even hit on me.

Now am curious as to what happened after I left the cafeteria yesterday and by the time lunch came I was more than impatient.

I was the first to get to the table which was unusual and the guys certainly took note.

"Why are you here, I mean you're always 15 minutes late to lunch" Mary asked.

I shrugged, "that's cause am ready to know what happened yesterday and why lots of people are suddenly nice to me. It's creepy".

"Well I don't find it creepy, I mean you're the enforcer's daughter, people are bound to know you".

This came from Luke as he stood by our table.

Kate raised her brows at him, "is there something you want?".

He looked at me then my friends, "am Luke and I wanna join your team, Aurora said I could ask you guys if it was okay".

They glanced at each other and turned to me, "what do you think Aurora"

"Why are you asking me?".

Dave rolled his eyes, "that's because we're a team so we should all decide if he should join us or not".

I was about to correct them that we're friends but am not a member of their team but Cora whinnied,

Come on, it's not that bad to be in a team, so long they don't hinder our plans.

I thought you wanted to rip Dave's tongue off.

Yeah I still do but the others are still cool. And we need Luke remember.

Fine then.

"Sure he should join our team, so long he's not a spy"

Luke shook his head "no am not a spy at all".

"Then it's settled, welcome to our team, although we don't have a name yet" Dave said as he gave Luke a seat.

"But keep your hands and paws to yourself and away from my mate or you won't find them anymore" Neil threatened.

Luke gulped then nodded.

Dave clapped his hands excitedly, "okay guys, back to our discussion, on why Aurora is suddenly famous".

I leaned back I'm my chair ready to listen.

Dave smiled at me "well it's because your parents announced publicly to all present that you are their daughter and also Rex's mate".

I stared at him in confusion "but people know me and they heard when I rejected Rex".

Kate grimaced "well it's not just that Aurora".

Dave glared at her, "hey am the one saying it".

"Then talk already" I was agitated.

"Well they said that you left to see some distant relatives and now that you're back you're going to be pack enforcer and you'll accept Rex back but if you don't then anyone can court you. Your name will no longer be Knight but Micheal. Sweetest part, you get to train with the pack soldiers since you defeated Mark in a fight. I can't believe you'll be training with them but specifically the hot dude Liam from the shifting protocol".

I was quite at first but started laughing, so hard I lost my balance and fell.

Wiping the mirth from my eyes I sat down properly "that was honestly the first funniest thing I have heard today".

"Well it's true" Damien said behind me.

I turned to him, then my friends "now Dave be real, tell me what happened".

Dave looked at loss "but that's actually it".

Clearing the smile from my face I stood on my table, "listen up people".

It wasn't hard to gain their attention since they had been staring at me.

"The name is and will always be Aurora Knight and am certainly not the enforcer's daughter neither am I mated to your alpha so I suggest you all get it into your skulls".

Getting down I saw Rex coming my way with Nathan in tow "what the fuck Aurora".

"Nothing" I sat down and took an apple from Luke's tray.

But before I could have a bite he took it from me.

I turned to him "that was rude alpha Rex".

He ignored me and pulled my hand, "we need to talk".

I glared at him "No we don't and I suggest you get your hands off me".

He took a step back "training with the soldiers begins after school at the training field. I'll see you there and we will talk", then he left the cafeteria.

Nathan and Damien were still standing but I ignored them and turned to my friends "am going to get somethings cleared up, meet you guys after school".

I picked my bag and apple and left the cafeteria, one place in mind. The principal's office.

When I got to the office the secretary didn't even notice me standing before her.

"Hello I want to see the principal".

"She's busy so come back after classes" she answered without even looking up at me.

I banged my hand on her desk which resulted in some books on the table falling, "I said I need to see her now".

Her eyes widen when she saw it was me, standing she quickly arrange herself.

"Am sorry enforcer I didn't know you wanted to see your mother, go in, even your dad is there".

Not spending a moment to correct her, I moved past her to the main office.

The so called parents were seated on a couch at the corner of the room. A third person was also present.

Liam.

My parents who seemed to have noticed my presence stood immediately.

"Aurora dear, why are you here, is something wrong?" mother spoke.

"I have a question for you and your husband".

"Sure sure ask on".

I moved towards her "why are you always ruining my life?"

She seems startled and looked towards her husband.

"I asked you a question, why the hell are you, your husband and children always pissing me off".

"They not just our children but t6our siblings also" father said.

I turned to him "last time I checked I don't have any sibling am pretty much am only child".

"Liam please excuse us" mother said.

I didn't turn to him but I knew the moment he left the room.

"Please sit Aurora, we had some talking to do" father implored.

"Aren't we talking now".

Sit Aurora I can feel I a shift in their emotions whatever they want to say is the true.

I glared at them but sat down, "now talk I ain't got all day and I certainly don't like being in your company".

Father looked at his wife and she nodded, turning to me he cleared his throat.

"The Alphas want you to join the soldiers".

"And why is that".

"Because they sense that you're a strong wolf and maybe a hint of alpha in you. So they want you to join the soldiers".
