You'd think with all of his experience and wisdom he'd be mature or subdued, maybe responsible. You'd be wrong. Melchior smiles too much for his own good and is all around a sweetheart. Sort of a parental figure to the younger people at the circus.

• backstory •
Grew up in a poor but big family that traveled through Europe/Asia/Africa too much to form roots (usually on or near a beach. Oceans were a family symbol of safety.) He had to care for four younger siblings all of the time and had to deal with three older ones. He used his ability to do street magic once upon a time and earn some extra cash.

His father was killed, mother imprisoned in germany.

The worst part is he doesn't even know why.

All he knows is that one day they'd been building campfires in the sand, camping out beneath the stars, and the next his younger siblings were out in the world. They're probably still in some country's adoption programs, sperated away from one another. He'd tried to look for them at first. The eldest were doing alright, all of them adults now. Of the younger he only found one- his youngest sister. She didn't even recognize her. She was in a home, with a roo over her head and food on the table. That was more than he could offer. He couldn't take away what they had.

Melchior stopped looking.

- middle kids get ignored all of the time. He's sort of used to it.

-self-esteem issues but he's good at hiding it.
