PERSONALITY

{Soft badass}

The thing about the Anjou twins is that despite of appearances, they're the complete opposite of what you would expect. Marisol is the perfect picture of innocence and perfection. By the way she's the face of her entire family, you'd expect a perfect angel. But Marisol has gone through too much to to be either of those things. She's bitter, hurt, angry, and quite frankly mournful. Mournful for how life used to be, when her brother and her finished each other's sentences and the biggest secret the two of them held was that Marisol had kissed a girl, or that Sun had broken his braces again.
She lets her anger get the best of her, sometimes. But she's working on it. Nobody's meant to shoulder what she does, and yet she still tries to pretend it's all fine.

LIKES|Sunflowers, the sand of the beaches back home, hot chocolate with tiny marshmallows, her hair, staying in bed until absolutely necessary, and chewing on ice when it's 100°+ out.

DISLIKES|Moving around, having to take responsibility for her actions, press, having to give speeches. Acting her age, moving on, being in the public eye all the time.

BACKGROUND
Her brother and her didn't get along when they were younger. They'd fight over everything, from who's turn it was to babysit their little sibling to who's pencil that really was. Although they usually ended up in an argument, they always had each other's back at the end of the day. They still had pillow forts and movie night, they still burnt toast trying to cook for themselves and set the kitchen on fire.

After the incident, however- when the baby was stolen from the crib in which she slept, when the news struck the country, when whoever took her didn't leave as much as a note, they were further apart than ever. They threw the blame on each other- "it was your turn to watch the baby" "you left the gate unlocked!" In her heart she blamed herself, but she would never say so outloud. Marisol is technically the oldest by a whole hour, and hour in which technically her brother stopped breathing and was nearly signed off as dead. She was the one meant to protect them, somehow. She grew to hate him in time.

'SIN'

Once upon a time, Marisol fell in love. How it happened doesn't matter. What matters is, she would have never been allowed to be with her in public. Somehow, they convinced Sun to play along. He would be the one that was publicly with Abby, and Marisol and her would have an excuse for being together all of the time. Long story short, it backfired. Abby became more and more distant. Marisol pretended she didn't notice, she would act like it was all part of the plan, like the soft gazes Abby used whenever she looked at Sun, the smile that always brightened her face when he would walk into the room was how they were meant to convince everyone. That Abby was just a great actress.

Abby was not a great actress. She was out of love and in it before anyone noticed the switch. But the recipient of her affections couldn't return the sentiment- he didn't want to. Sun never had feelings for Abby.  She risked it all, broke up with Marisol on a whim and made her move minutes apart- she couldn't take it. If she couldn't have him, then no one else would. In a split second, she tried to take his life. A split second that changed Marisol's entire life. She had to make a choice.

The love of her life or her brother.

In the end it was easy. There was a knife in her hands and two bodies on the ground- one blue with asphyxiation, one red with blood.

To this day, it's their secret. Nobody asks about Abby.
They don't tell.
