It's now the next morning and you let out a soft sigh.

You're walking into your workplace, holding a large cup of coffee in one hand and your purse in the other. You greet your officemates with a small smile and 'good morning' before continuing to make your way to your desk.

While on your way to your desk, you're greeted by your favorite coworker, Jieun. She greets you with a friendly smile and starts walking with you towards your desk.

"Good morning!" she says, her bubbly personality bringing a smile to your face immediately. You let out a soft laugh as she says this.

"Good morning, I take it that your weekend went well?" you question while looking over at her. She smiles widely and nods her head.

"Yeah, I had a really productive weekend! You know how I was telling you about how I wanted to start a band or something outside of work for a hobby?"

"Yeah, I remember you mentioning something about that." You state while looking over at her. You two arrive at your desk. You sit down at your chair and set your coffee down on a coaster as she leans against your desk while continuing to talk.

"I was at an underground rap show the other day and ran into a guy who I think would be perfect to help me out with that." She says while grinning over at you. You tilt your head to the side as you stare over at her, skeptical of this situation.

"Hm... you sure he's not some sort of creep or something, though?" you question, staring up at her.

"I'm not planning on meeting him without someone there." She states. "I'll bring Jonghoon with me." She replies. This causes you to nod your head.

"Okay, just want to make sure because you're really pretty and you never know when weirdos will tell you anything just to get into your pants or do something creepy." You state while shuttering at the thought. She does the same before shaking her head immediately.

"He seemed pretty normal when I was talking to him, he also didn't flirt with me or anything so I think it'll be okay." She states while shrugging her shoulders.

"So, if you don't mind me asking this, why are you interested in getting a rapper to join you?" you question. "When you said 'band,' my head went to a soft soul band or something, considering your voice is so soft and soothing." You state, causing her to smile at you.

"Well, thank you." She states. "To answer your question, he actually does make beats too, he doesn't just rap."

"Interesting, so he's not some rapper who has everyone write his music and lyrics for him?"

"Oh gosh no!" Jieun responds, widening her eyes, almost sounding offended at your question. You put both hands up as she reacts this way.

"Easy, I don't know the guy so I was just curious." You slowly reason. She nods her head.

"He writes really good beats and played one for me. I was thinking that it'd be a really good beat to use for that tribute song I started writing for Sulli and Jonghyun, rest in peace." She says while looking up at the ceiling for a moment. You smile softly as you see her doing this and nod your head.

"The fact that you want your first song to be about and in honor of your two friends who struggled while on this earth just shows how much of an incredible person you are, Jieun." You state while sighing softly. "They would love that you're writing a song for them, I know they're proud of you." Jieun grins over at you before she shrugs her shoulders.

"I already have the lyrics written but I'm missing the beat and I think he has the one that would fit." She states. You nod your head softly as she says this.

"Then I say go for it, just don't meet with him alone." You state, causing her to laugh softly before she nods her head.

"Do you want to come with?" she questions. "I'm meeting with him after work tonight." You bite onto your lower lip as she asks this. As you contemplate, you take a deep breath before shrugging your shoulders.

"Eh, I don't have any plans tonight." you say while nodding your head. "Why not?"

"Yay! Thank you, Y/N, for coming with me. Now, there'll be three of us in case this guy does end up being a sketchy guy." She says before sighing of relief. She then glances around the office before she points towards her desk. "Well, I should probably get back to work but I'll meet you at your desk when I'm ready to meet with him, sound good?" she questions. You nod your head and give her a thumbs up.

As she starts walking away, you realize that you should probably ask her what this guy's name is so you can do some research on him during your lunch break.

"Wait, what's this guy's name?" you question. She turns around when you ask this and raises her eyebrows before she grins.

"His stage name is SUGA, I didn't get a chance to get his actual name." She responds.

"Okay, that's fine. I'm going to do some digging on the guy." You tease, causing her to laugh and nod her head before she continues to walk away.

You write the name down on a sticky note and make a mental note to yourself to look at it during lunch.

During your lunch break, you were unable to find any information on this 'SUGA' person. The only thing you saw was a few Reddit threads talking about how this man is apparently a really fast rapper and was in an underground dance group.

You glance up at the clock as you see that it's almost time for you to clock out for the day. Sighing, you look in the direction of Jieun's desk and bite onto your lower lip.

You're starting to doubt that you should go, a weird feeling starting to form in your stomach.

Shaking your head, you look back at your computer monitor and decide to dedicate the last 30 minutes of your shift to finishing this work assignment.

After the 30 minutes is up, Jieun is already approaching your desk.

You glance up at her to see a wide smile spread across her face.

"You ready to go?" she questions. You nod your head before signing out of your work computer and picking up your purse.

"Yeah, are we going to carpool there together or should I drive separately?" you inquire. She shakes her head.

"I'll drive, I'd prefer you being with me since we're meeting my brother there." She states. "I want at least one person with me so I feel a little safer." You nod your head as she says this before getting up from your chair to follow her to the parking garage.

You two get into her car and make your way there.

While in the car, she glances over at you while driving as you eye the area that you're heading into. It's not the worst area in the world but it's also not one that you would go into alone either.

"Want to hear some demos of the beat that he sent me?" she questions. You glance over at her before nodding your head slowly.

"Sure!" you say.

As she pulls up to a red light, she starts to reach for her phone. She then finds the file and starts playing it.

You listen, staring out the window as you listen, nodding your head along to the beat as you start to like it. While listening, you hear Jieun start to hum along to the song, her voice sounding angelic and airy as she does so. You glance in her direction, smiling as you hear her humming.

"Jieun?" you question. She turns the volume down slightly as you call out her name.

"Sorry, was I humming too loudly?" she questions. You shake your head.

"No, I was going to ask if you could maybe sing some of the lyrics you've drafted along with the beat? The sound of your voice already sounds good with it." You state.

She nods before turning the music back up and starts singing the lyrics she had already written. You close your eyes and smile as you listen to the song, shoulders relaxing as you start to feel relaxed.

After a few lines, she stops and you nod.

"Thoughts?" she questions hesitantly.

"I love it. What do you plan on naming the song?" you question.

"Eight." She responds, causing you to nod.

You two then arrive at the location that was given to her. When you pull up into a parking spot, you look around and see that her brother is already here.

He waves at you and you give him a small smile.

The two of you get out of her car as she locks the car doors behind you.

"Hey Y/N! Long time no see." Jonghoon says as he sees you.

"Yeah, you look good! How's the wife and boy?" you question. He smiles widely as you ask this before stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"They're good, how have you been?" he questions, causing you to shrug your shoulders.

"Same old, same old." You state before grinning.

The three of you then head towards the entrance of the studio and are met by a man on his phone.

He's dressed in black jeans, a long camel-toned wool coat, and a black turtleneck beneath his coat. He has jet black hair and is wearing one silver, dangly earring in one ear. He has a very youthful face with a fair skin tone that also looks slightly intimidating. Yet, he's not super tall so you can't tell whether or not he's someone you're fully intimidated by yet.

The man looks up and sees the three of you approaching. He stuffs his phone into his coat pocket before slowly approaching the three of you.

"Hi, SUGA!" Jieun greets. The man softly smiles, politely bowing his head.

"Hi, Jieun." He greets, voice coming out dee and dark. This causes you to slightly widen your eyes for a second.

Yep, you're definitely intimidated.

He looks at you and her brother with a curious expression on his face.

"Oh! My apologies, how rude of me," Jieun starts before gesturing towards you two. "This is Jonghoon, my brother." She states.

SUGA looks towards her brother and politely smiles.

"Nice to meet you." He states.

"And this is Y/N, my coworker and friend." Jieun finishes.

His eyebrow twitches before perking up as he looks over in your direction upon hearing your name. You awkwardly smile as the man stares at you for a few seconds.

"It's nice to meet you, Y/N." he states in his deep voice once more.

For some reason, you can't put your finger on the reasoning why, but his voice sends shivers down your spine.

Had you met this man before?

"Nice to meet you too, SUGA." You say before giving a friendly smile.

When you speak, his already fair skin goes even more pale. He gulps as he stares over at you, eyes widening slightly for a moment.

You furrow your eyebrows as he looks at you like this.

After a few seconds, he lets out a soft cough to clear his throat.

"My apologies, it's very cold out, you all must be freezing. Let's head into the studio." He says while leading the way towards the studio.

As he says this, Jieun looks over at you with a confused expression. You make eye contact with her and she points towards him, silently questioning if you know him. You immediately shake your head and shrug your shoulders before the three of you follow him into the building.

Well, there goes the theory of him not being a weirdo.

Onto the world news: I just want to remind everyone that everything happening in Palestine is still happening unfortunately. We still need to boycott the larger companies supporting Israel. There's still so many children and babies being killed and so many other horrific things that I've seen online that are terrifying to look at.

It's sad that things can't just be easier to where disagreements are handled differently rather than invading the places you disagree with and torturing innocent people. However, boycotting has been working. It's been putting a lot of pressure on the large companies that support Israel to reevaluate their support.

Now, back to the story, I cannot believe how many of you are already into this story. It's always so insane to me how many readers I see on all of my stories and how I can sometimes recognize usernames, it makes me so happy. I know all of you are eagerly waiting for each chapter and I wish I could upload more frequently. However, I work a full time job throughout the week and don't have the capability to upload more than once a week. I know it's hard being patient between chapters and I'm so sorry about the wait but being too busy to upload more often comes with being an adult sadly 😭

I do try to be very consistent though, I'm usually quick to let people know when I can't upload that week. Generally though, I'm for the most part consistent. I appreciate your patience and again I'm sorry!

But I hope you enjoyed this chapter... as you can see, things will be interesting with this one.
