Every judge has a different opinion, that is no secret.
As such I'll call myself out first.
The results for poetry I judged are different, these were the results I made for Poetry in case the original judge stepped down without my knowledge.

AUCTOR AWARDS 2022
Judgment for the category of Thriller: Wattpad
By: _universewrites
Silent Past by @JWGIRLZ
Title 5/5
That's a good title, especially if you want to draw someone in for a thriller. It fits the story really well. Doesn't give out too much or too little.
Cover 4/5
The cover was interesting and nice. I liked it. But since this is a thriller, it would be expected to have a darker side to the cover. Like a looming question. A mysterious cover. Something of the gist.
Blurb 4/5
The blurb is supposed to be what draws people in to your story. After the title and cover of course. Just from the blurb, the reader should have already decided whether or not to give the book a chance. I feel like yours gave your story a brief summary. But your blurb did not fully coincide with the story. How could Magda be both a hero and a villain? The question needed to be answered in the story.
Presentation 4/5
The presentation was not bad, although it needs to be eye-catching as a Thriller novel.
Opening Chapter 7/10
While there was nothing really wrong with the chapter, the situation was not explained. We get an introduction to the female and male MC, but it was kinda… plain? They hadn't been described much, their situation, how they were feeling, how they looked like, and why they were in that setting in the first place. The opening chapter is supposed to be a drawing factor to the audience. Since it's supposed to be thriller, maybe some mystery?
Plot 15/20
The idea you had for your story was interesting. I could see a plan from the first chapters of the story. The plot is usually the main thing the readers fall in love with, but how the plot is presented is very important. How do the actions of the characters affect the story afterwards? What steps did you take to reach the climax of the story? Did you heighten the feelings of your readers? The rush shouldn't be only for the climax, but for the entire book. Give readers a reason to finish your book from the plot.
Grammar 6/10
While you've tried hard to lay out the story, a number of factors were slightly amiss with the grammar. Some parts of the story had incomplete sentences and the use of punctuation marks was off. Punctuation marks convey feelings of the characters too. This was slight, but the tenses were slightly mixed (it's very slight, don't worry). It's very hard to notice, but to the very keen eye, it can be spotted.
Vocabulary 8/10
The way you've written your story shows that you are familiar with the language. Applause! You used correct words at different settings and that was impressive. The issue is, your story lacked enough words. Vivid description. Describe settings and situations more using more words, so that the readers can visualize where they are and what they're supposed to feel among others.
Dialogue 7/10
You tried to write a dialogue, and it came out great. The thing is, try to also tell us slight details of the characters and environment while you're at it. Let the characters breathe. Don't let the dialogue just run through. Dialogue is usually hard to write.
Characters 6/10
The characters were fine and all but… I wasn't attached. Even to the main MC who I'm supposed to sympathize with, seeing as she's gone through a lot. You didn't describe them at all. What was the colour of their hair? How tall were they? What did they like and dislike? I didn't feel as attached to them. I felt like I knew everything about them from the first few chapters.
Story Development 7/10
The trajectory of the story was nice. I understood what kind of a story you were writing. I've mentioned using more words and also the character dynamics. You tried as much as possible to create a domino effect within the story. A good path to a good story.
Total Score: 73/100
Note: This was before the genres were properly distributed to the judges.

Star Wars Episode IX: The Descendants of Evil - CroodsGirl
(Read 4 Chapters)
Title 4/5
It’s a bit long, especially with the “(Novella #1)” included, but it gives you a good idea of what the story will be about.
Cover 3/5
Not a fan of the font used, and the color of the title/author name could be darker as to be seen more clearly.
Blurb 4/5
There’s a typo or two in the blurb, and an odd formatting choice here and there, but it gives you a good sense of what the book will be about.
Presentation 2/5
The foreword is very “heartfelt” for lack of a better term. Shows a lot of the author's character. Seeing the other covers for the book was also a nice touch. I will say though, for the canon characters “refresher/introduction” chapter, it would’ve been nice to have a basic summary of who they are alongside just the pictures. The preface on the two new planets and the new creature are something I would’ve liked to be explained through in-story world building rather than told to us outright before the start of the story.
Opening Chapter 6/10
This chapter makes me want to give the “show don’t tell” advice. I feel like I was told everything but I couldn’t get invested because I wasn’t really experiencing what the characters were feeling. Additionally, the perspective hopped around a lot between characters that we weren’t following. Omniscient narrator POV is an interesting choice- I’ve yet to decide if it’s going to aid the story or just over explain it to us.
Plot 14/20
The plot seems interesting enough, although it’s very abruptly done and relies on the characters making rash decisions (Rey investigating the creature alone, Ren promoting a competitor, etc.).
Grammar 7/10
Almost everything is correct- just a few mistakes here and there with punctuation and such. I also think it’s an odd decision to continually switch between the numbers and letter spellings for the robots. (C3PO changing between that and See-Threepio, for example).
Vocabulary 7/10
The vocabulary used in this book is very clinical. It’s all used correctly (that I’ve noticed) but it doesn’t paint a very poetic picture of environments or people.
Characters 4/10
No one but Rey is really discussed or developed in the first few chapters. The story relies entirely on the work the movies have done (and thus, relies on the reader to have watched those films) in order to carry the plot. As someone who hasn’t watched the (recent) films, this leaves something to be desired.
Dialogue 6/10
The dialogue sounds unnaturally stiff, like it’s coming from a robot that knows exactly what to say rather than a flawed person.
Story Development 7/10
Events move along quite quickly, even if they are a little bloated with clinical descriptions of everything around them.
Total 64/100
Note: I found this days after the fanfiction results have been posted. Elysian_Aon has been really helpful in evaluating the remaining books and volunteered to help the other judges and filling in for the ones who ghosted. It ain't as easy as it looks people!
Judging many books takes time!
1. Judges ghosting unexpectingly.
2. Participants ghosting and deleting without warning.
3. Participants deleting the books they've signed up for.
4. A participant changed the name of their book (which took every fiber in me to not emotionally combust).
5. Being unable to finish judging before set deadline.
So yeah, every judge has a different opinion and the time they have invested matters.
