Chapter 3: Saving...Or not?
Chirping bird. Blinding sun. Peace. I opened my eyes and I could see the sun shining through the entrance of the cave. I looked around at all of the other dragons and saw that they were all still asleep. I slowly and quietly walked outside of the cave and sat down. I watched a a small group of foxes crossed the path, I winced thinking about the day I killed my brother.
"Princess?" A familiar voice whispered. I turned my head and saw Agate coming out of the cave. She smiled at me and then sat down next to me.
"Yes Agate?" I replied.
"You miss him. I can tell" she said sadly.
"I have a plan." I blurted.
"Well what is it?" Agate said.
"We need one of the rebels to act as a guard that's turning me in and then they will take me down to the cells and we can find him. If hes still alive that is." I explained.
"I know! One of the younger SkyWings. His name is Falcon. He can help you. He lives just down this path." she said pointing to a long dirt path that went through the forest.
"Alright. I'll see you when I get Hawk back." I said. I got up and started to walk down the path.
On my way, I felt like something was watching me. Or someone? Stay on task Topaz, if you want to save Hawk you need to find Falcon. I looked over my shoulder and spotted the cave, I had walked past it earlier. I quickly ducked inside and the only thing I saw was black.
"H-Hello?" I whispered.
"What brings you here princess?" a mighty voice said. His voice boomed and echoed through the cave.
"I need your help on a mission." I said.
"Agate sent you?" he asked.
"Yes. My plan was that you could act like your locking me up and turning me in but really you can help me rescue somebody." I explained.
Suddenly the cave was lit up and I saw a dull red colored SkyWing. His wings were torn and he had scars all over his body. Next to him he had a set of armor hanging on the wall, on the other side of him he had a pit of all sorts of chains, wing bonds, mouth bonds, and much more.
"Alright. Let me get you looking more...locked up." he said throwing his armor on. He grabbed some shackles and a mouth bond from out of the pile and he snapped the shackles around my talons.
"Thanks for the help." I said. He slipped the mouth bond over my snout and then smiled.
"Anytime. Now let's get going!" he said pushing me out of the cave. He grabbed my talons and we flew up towards the SkyWing Palace. I winced as we touched down on the velvety red carpets that lined the floor.
"General Falcon! You caught my daughter!?" Queen Scarlet exclaimed.
"That's right your majesty." Falcon said bowing down.
"Go take her and throw her in with the other SkyWing." she hissed.
"Yes your highness." Falcon said before we flew down to the prison cells. We walked past all of the empty cells until we reach Hawk's cell. Falcon opened the cell and took off my mouth bond and shackles.
"HAWK!" I exclaimed rushing into the cell and putting a wing around him. Suddenly there was a loud slam and I looked over at Falcon and the cell door was shut.
"I can't believe your that stupid!" He chuckled.
"What do you mean! I thought I could trust you!" I growled.
"I was working with Scarlet the whole time! Now she'll pay me millions!" he said. "Bye!"
I was locked up again
