Flowerfell Sans x Reader
Y/N's POV:
The monsters being on the surface is, better than I expected.
Even if they are sometimes complete jerks, or total selfish snobs at times, I feel like there is good in every person. I even became a friend with a pair of brothers.
Their names are Sans and Papyrus.
Sans, is a short, hilarious comedian, but I can tell is very depressed, meanwhile Papyrus, is a tall, lanky, serious dude, with a pretty commanding voice. Two polar opposites, yet born from the same parents.
Sans is my best friend. I first saw him at a run down part of the city that I live in. It is flooded, from a hurricane, and now everyone just kinda left that part of the city. Sans was looking into the water; hunched over, in his black, and fuzzy at the hood jacket. I noticed right away that Sans was crying. His tears were dropping into the water below him, and he was shaking. I noticed no sniffling, which was odd to me. Every monster I have seen so far come out of the mountain, had a nose, so they could sniff...
Except for those who don't have noses, like the pair of skeletons that I saw.
I knew that this had to be a skeleton, which, I know now that he is Sans.
I walked up to the hunched over skeleton. I patted their back, and I started comforting them.
"Hey, I saw you all alone and crying. You don't have to tell me what's wrong, but just know that someone cares about you." I spoke honestly. Every word I said to him I meant, and even if it was a complete stranger. It's just that it was my motive to help out the ones that are lonely and are having a worse time than me. Monsters especially.
" T-Thanks...That helped a lot." The person stuttered at first, and also spoke softly and slowly. I hugged their thin body, covered with a black jacket that was fluffy at the edges, and decided to introduce myself.
"My name's Y/N." I sat beside him.
"My name's..." He contemplated whether he should reveal his identity. "Sans. Sans the Skeleton." He faced towards me.
Sans had a skeletal face, as I have guessed, and he has red eyes. He also seemed to have rings under his eyes, and he has a gold tooth in his permanent grin. He has red tears still in his eye sockets, but otherwise he looks grateful for company.
"I guessed that you were a skeleton. Without a nose, you don't sniff. Everyone else would sniff, but not you. Plus I've only seen two skeletons come out of the mountain, and there was a tall one and a shorter one. I've seen you around town, and you seem rather nice, well, more nice, than the others." I raddled off to Sans, who didn't mind my intellect.
Sans's POV:
A girl is trying to comfort me. No one has ever done that, besides Frisk... They are doing the nicest things that anyone has ever done for me. No one would even give me a second glance, much less than a pat in the back. I just feel like this girl would be important to me. What the heck am I even saying?! They are a complete stranger! No one besides Frisk will ever think I am lovable, full of kindness, and caring. Yet, a complete stranger can read me like a book.
"Why are you helping me?" I asked.
"Well it's my own little motive that I have, where I try to help the less fortunate than me. To other people, I have a normal, standard life, meanwhile there's a depressed looking monster, crying their heart out, and no one is even giving any heave if they hear it or see it. I, am honestly sick and tired of that, so that's why I did what I did." I just awed at the girl. No one in the underground would do that. I can't even compare them to Frisk right now because she is surprising me so much.
"Thanks." I utter.
"You're welcome." She got up, and walked away. Without knowing what I was doing, I got up after her. She looked behind and saw me, and smiled. "You wanna follow me to my home?" She giggled.
I started to get flustered. "N-no! No, I wouldn't do it like that way! I was just...." I trailed off.
"Lonely?" She cocked her head at me.
How the heck can she read me like that?!
"Y-Yeah! How'd you know?" I questioned. This made her smile more.
"I read books. I then realized that people act a certain way for emotions so I just assumed that since you were just crying over there, that you were probably needing something like comfort, so I gave you that." She then hugged me, which made me even more flustered than before. "Still assuming that you want to go to my place and chat some more? I have some leftover apple pie that I made a couple days ago. Why don't you try some?" She broke the embrace, and smiled a warm smile at me. I smiled too, but this time relaxed, because she's making me less tense and more carefree because of this invitation.
Noticing that I wasn't responding, I shook my head slightly and then replied. "Uh-sure! Pie sounds really nice right now. Just..." I stop the walk that we were self-consciously doing.
"What is it Sans?" Y/N looks back at me, waiting for me to speak.
"..." I look away and to the ground beside me. I then look back to Y/N's intent, yet caring face. Just how is someone like that? They hadn't met me before and they saw me cry. Frisk was kind, but she was also a bit naïve. She was noticeably younger than Y/N, and she was also dealing with the stupid flowers. Maybe Y/N has a soul of kindness? Yeah. That's probably why I feel all confused about her.
"N-Nothing! It ain't important to you." I wave off the silence. Y/N looks back to me; I give a reassuring smile, and Y/N faces forwards again and continues down a path, in which I am guessing is her home.
"So what's it like, living down there in the Underground?" Y/N breaks the comfortable silence.
"Oh. Uh, it was, cold." I referred to Snowdin. "I lived in a place where there was lots of snow, but other than that, it was CRAP!" I raised my voice at the end for emphasis. Y/N giggles ahead of me. Why? I may never understand this woman.
"How was it crap?" Y/N smiles towards me as she says this.
"Well, have you seen the way that us monsters acted towards each other?! It's like that down in the underground, but worse." I laughed.
"If you don't mind me asking, how did you live down there? Did you have houses like we do or-"
"Oh we have houses. Me and my bro Papyrus live together, and we have a two story house that is more filled with edginess than coziness. My favorite parts of my house were the lime green couch and my mattress." Y/N giggled again, which I smiled some more.
"I'm assuming that you like anything besides exercise, judging from your favorite places of your home?" Y/N ahead of me, spoke in a cheerful tone.
"Uh... Yeah. My brother wouldn't think so. He would force me to do my work, which is actually nothing right now. I," I rub my humerus. "I lied to him, saying that I had a job. It's partially because I, fear him, in a sense. I am afraid of, what he's gonna do, if I told him that I never had a job." I hadn't even felt the tears rolling down my cheekbones, until I felt Y/N wipe them away with her sleeve.
"I bet you don't want to tell the truth... Do you?" I shook my head.
"No..." I don't see where she's going with this.
"I thought so. Anyways, you should get a job. Papyrus won't have anything on you if you do." I then started to cry again.
"But he would! He would always get some dirt on me! Whether it's not feeding the dog, or disobeying the monsters and instead helping out Frisk when she had those.... Flowers, on her. It would be ANYTHING! He would get me by me not doing anything today or this past month! I'm such a dingus...." I cover my face with my skeletal hands, and I feel Y/N take them off.
"You are not something who's someone has forgotten your name. No, you're just like any other monster or human. Living." Y/N's smile was so inviting, that I just bear-hugged her, because I just, couldn't believe the compassion that she gave me... She was there when I was at my worst, and now, she's still here. She ain't judgmental, like most humans are who assume things and have such egos and are not good with change. She's different.
And I like the difference.
"Thank you." I say as I continue to hug her. "Thank you for everything." We break the embrace.
"Thank me for what? I'm only being kind. Plus you hadn't even had my pie." She then giggles afterwards, and whenever she giggles, I can't keep a straight face, and I chuckle with her.
"So we going to your house or what?" I look up to her when we stop laughing.
"My house. So come on! It's not much farther away!" She pulls on my hand and we run in a certain direction that I can only trust Y/N is correct.
Y/N's POV:
I remember that day. The day that Sans and I first met. We had pie in the park together, but then Papyrus came along, and he nearly slapped Sans, when I went in between them and got slapped instead in the arm. It hurt really bad, but luckily I managed to make Papyrus leave. Afterwards Sans tended my arm, and we went back home. Sans says that day was terrible because of his brother, but I say it was bittersweet. Some good things, and some bad things happened that day, but we managed to repay that day with a date, after quite some time.
"OH MY GOSH WHERE'S MY DRESS?!" I panicked the majority of the day just looking for something presentable and nice for Sans. My love at the time for him was outrageous, and growing, and I had the fear of being rejected. I finally settled on a nice F/C dress. I set up my hair, and had a necklace on that brought out my eyes. I put on blush, and mascara, and-
*knock knock*
OH NO SANS IS HERE!!!
AHH WHAT AM I GONNA DO?!!!
"Who's there?!" I shout from the bathroom as I rush to put on some nice flats.
"Urine." I managed to put on the flats and rushed towards the door.
"Urine who?" I snatched my purse and I opened the door as Sans spoke.
"Urine for a big surprise!" I gasped in surprise as I saw Sans.
He was in a black tuxedo with a red bowtie, and he had black pants with black shoes. The bowtie really brought out his eyes, and he also had a silver chain in his pocket. Around the top of his spine was a necklace with a four-pointed star. I found it quite stylish for him. I smiled wide at his appearance after taking in everything.
"You look beautiful Y/N.." Sans was nearly gawking at me. I blushed in response and I stammered in response.
"Y-You too! You look very h-handsome!" I squeaked at the end. This was all new for me, and I had no idea how I should act. So I just ended up very shy.
"Hey where's my smart Y/N that I know and love?" I blushed and turned into a strawberry and I hid in Sans's ribcage.
"N-Not here! N-Now you got a s-stammering and s-shy Y/N..." I hugged Sans.
"Hmm... I see. Well I guess I can't tell her that I love her and that I would like to take her out on a date. Would you please tell her?" Sans chuckled which sent vibrations down to where my head rested.
"Y-Yes. She says that she w-would love to come. And here is Y/N now." I raised my head and I looked up to Sans. We locked gazes and I shot upwards and gave Sans a kiss. This caused Sans's face to turn the same shade as mine, but Sans nonetheless kissed back. When we broke the kiss, I had hugged him again, and he sighed which sent vibrations down to my head which felt oddly comfortable.
"Close your eyes sweetheart. I'm teleporting us there." I did as he told me, and I felt my feet lift off the ground for a second, but as quick as it came it went away. I opened my eyes and I saw that there was yellow flower petals everywhere on the ground. I was instantly reminded of Frisk, a girl that Sans told me about. He said that he loved her with all his non-existent heart, but she died because of the flowers. I comforted him, and it seems like Sans found a new person that he will love.
And that person is me.
We had a perfect date, right up until Papyrus showed up.
"SANS!!! WHY ARE YOU WITH THIS *??!!" My face fell and I felt my tears well up at the name. Sans who was right beside me, hugged me at his side, and he kissed my forehead.
"She's not a * Papyrus. She's my girlfriend. And you have no right, to call her that." Sans looked down at me, with his cherry colored eyes, and I smiled back, but making a tear fall. He looked back to his brother, and he raised his left hand that was not holding me and he sent Papyrus into the sky, and dropped him.
"SANS!" I yelped. I watched Papyrus fall, but be hovering over the grass blades.
"Don't worry sweetheart, I only made him an inch away from the ground. I would never hurt my bro, or anyone without your permission, something that I picked up on from Frisk." I looked over to see Papyrus with a fearful expression in his cold, hard eyes.
"Thank you Sans." I kissed him, which made him kiss back.
"SANS! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HER?!" I chuckled while still kissing, which made Sans stop.
"It's called kissing Papyrus!" I chuckled, and I started to laugh.
"WHY ARE YOU LAUGHING *?!" This only made me laugh even harder.
"I-I'm sorry Papyrus, it's just that I had never met a person who didn't know what kissing was." Sans chuckled along with me.
"NARGH!!! YOU TWO ARE INSANE! SANS I'M KICKING YOU OUT OF THE HOUSE. HOW DARE YOU LAUGH AT THE TERRIBLE PAPYRUS!!!" Sans then stopped laughing. I did as well, and I felt empathy towards Sans.
"S-Sans..." I turned Sans's head towards me. He had a sad expression in his eyes, and he still wore that grin, which made it even more heart breaking.
"You... You could move in with me?" I asked him, which his expression filled with tears, but his grin widened. He hugged me, and I felt tears go on my shoulder.
"Thank you Y/N. You're too kind for this world." He then held my face, and then he leaned in and kissed me.
"YOU TWO DO KNOW THAT I AM STILL HERE, RIGHT?!" Papyrus shouted. Sans released him, and we broke the kiss.
"Remember I still have a surprise for you." My eyes sparkled and made Sans grin.
"Really?" I smiled widely.
"Yep. It's right here." He pulled out a small box. Inside, was a green heart necklace. Just like the color of my soul. Sans grabbed it carefully, and put it around my neck. The cold chain in comparison to Sans's warm, boney hand, made me shiver. When he linked them together, I held the heart, and I looked at it.
"That's emerald. Got something extra special for you, since you did something extra special for me, on that first day." My eyes start to water, and I hugged him and kissed him.
"Thank you..." I whispered loudly.
And to that day, Sans and I have gotten a better and better relationship.
Then...
Came the day that Sans proposed to me.
Sans's POV:
Y/N and I were out in the same park that we went on our first day. I had planned to propose to her there, and I got the emerald ring ready and everything! I just had to wait for the right time.
"Did you know that my favorite type of tree is Cherry Blossom? I just love the way the flowers are!" Y/N speaks as we near a cherry blossom tree.
"Oh really? Why don't we sit by it?" I suggest.
"You would do that for me?" I chuckle.
"Of course sweetheart. Anything for you." I lean in and kiss her. I then start to sing a song that I have heard, and one that Y/N suggested I sing. I never did, until today.
https://youtu.be/oM-NCBZMZms
"Wise men say, only fools rush in," Y/N looks towards me, and she smiles wide at what I was singing.
"But I can't help, falling in love, with you." She motioned for us to sit on the comfortable grass lightly covered in cherry blossoms.
"Shall I say, would it be a sin," Y/N was right. Cherry blossoms are really cool.
"If I can't help, falling in love, with you." I felt Y/N lean against me, which I did as well.
"Like a river flows, surely to the sea," I start petting her hair.
"Darling so it goes," She leans in some more because of the touch.
"Some things are meant to be." Our embrace is making some bystanders watch, but I shoe them away.
"Take my hand." Y/N places her hand on mine.
"Take my whole life too." I hear Y/N sigh in satisfaction.
"For I can't help, falling in love, with you." Y/N picks up a cherry blossom with her free hand, but soon is occupied in making something.
"Like a river flows," I look over to see what she is making.
"Surely to the sea," But she gently pushes me away.
"Darling so it goes," I sit back down,
"Some things are meant to be." and wonder what she could be making.
"Take my hand," I reach out for her again.
"Take my whole life too." And this time she accepts.
"For I can't help, falling in love, with you." She slid in a flower ring, and when I realized what she did,
"For I, can't help, falling in love, with you." I slid in the emerald ring on hers.
For seconds which felt like hours, we stared at each other, and the one thing that I could read in Y/N's eyes, were happiness. She hugged me really tight and kissed me all over, and when she was done, we were in a suggestive position, but I didn't care, so I rolled over and made us both lay down on the fluffy grass, and I kissed her back. When she kissed in return, I felt so much passion in it, that I felt my soul practically melt with happiness. I held onto her waist as we shifted back to sitting position, and Y/N held onto my spinal cord.
If people saw us right now,
hell I wouldn't care.
We finally broke the kiss, which caused Y/N to lightly gasp for air, and I took a deep breath in and out, to get my air into my nonexistent lungs. We both shared a look of love, and I then asked the question.
"So would you like to marry me?" Y/N hugged me hard again and shouted:
"YYYEEESSS!!!" This made me even more happy, that I swore that my soul turned into a puddle that day because of love.
"I thought so." I chuckled and I teleported us back home.
