Hello dear readers, it's me Kat! It's been awhile, huh.. Covid-19 has really been the biggest event has happened in 2020 yet! Let's just hope nothing else bad will happen this year. So! I have come to you with a new one-shot, featuring our very own Dream! Thanks to @26nobat01 for this idea, I've kinda had writers block qwq ANYWAY BACK TO THE STORY!!! Art belongs to rightful owner.

Dream's P.O.V

It  was a nice evening in Outertale. Y/n had suggested we'd go here, I can't blame her, it's beautiful. Well... Not as beautiful as her. 

I sighed dreamily at Y/n, we were currently laying down gazing at the twinkling stars above our heads.  They shone brightly in the void of darkness called outer space.   I turned to her and smiled and blushed a bright yellow seeing her eyes light up watching the stars.  Apparently I was staring, because she turned to me and asked me if I was alright.

"Hey Dreamy, you alright?" I heard her angelic voice ask. I snapped back into reality, and quickly answered.

"Yep! Of course I am just tired I guess" I lied...

She responded "Well, if you want we can go back? It is getting a bit late" Y/n said, with what seems to be a slight upset in her voice. Oh no..

I sat up swiftly and gazed at her. "No no, it's fine. We can stay as long as you want!" 

She seemed to smile at what I had said. Oh stars.. That smile, it gets me all the time. I once again blushed lightly. I didn't want this moment with my little sunshine to end.

Y/n's P.O.V

I smiled at what Dream said. He was always so kind and thinking of others.  I saw him blush faintly, not a lot but enough that I could see it. why was he blushing??? C-could he-? No, no way. He couldn't .... Could he? Does he....Like me?... No. Why would he? I let out a sad sigh. Truth is, I-I love Dream...He's so kind and caring. What's there not to love about him. He's been there for me at my worst, and always makes me smile. I blushed but quickly shook my head.

I took a deep breath.

"Hey Dream?..."

"Hm?" He hummed in response. I shivered a bit and thought before speaking.

"H-Have you every been in love?" He turned to face me and nodded.

"Yes. Of course I have, well back then it was kinda like a little school crush." He giggled. It made my heart skip a beat hearing him giggle. It sounded very cute. (OMG DREAM YOU PRECIOUS BABY BOI!!!) 

I laughed lightly before continuing. "Are y-you in love with someone now? L-like presently?" I was kinda afraid of the  answer I'd get from the yellow and cyan themed skeleton.

He had a deep yellow blush on his face. 

"Y-yes, Yes I do."

My heart was beating faster than a speeding train at this point. OMG HE DID!!! I got all excited, but then I realized it could be someone else... not me....

I replied with an "Oh..That's nice" And gave him my best fake smile. But this is Dream. Not an average monster. He could tell  was upset.

Narrator's P.O.V

Dream heart sank seeing Y/n's face, he could tell that she wasn't happy. And knew her long enough to know that was a fake smile. He reached a hand out to her and took her hands in his.

When he spoke, his voice was filled with worry.

"Y/n?... What's wrong?.."

Y/n had to fight her tears back in front  of him. "N-nothing, nothing's wrong...I just.. Got excited over something that would never happen.." She admitted.

Y/n didn't technically lie about what she said. But she was wrong about it never happening (Yeah. Time to call in the match maker- AKA ME B) ). 

Dream let out a soft sigh and lifted her chin up so she could look at him. It broke his heart to see his sunshine upset like this.

"What was it that you got excited about? You can tell me.

' I guess I have to tell him..' Y/n thought looking at Dream's yellow eyelights, It reminded her of the stars. Bright, beautiful and captivating. 

"I...I..." She hesitated.

"I LOVE! I love you ok?..." She felt a little better getting it of her chest. Dream's eyes went wide. He wasn't expecting his sweetheart to like him back. He thought he would have to win her over but apparently not. 

He grinned brightly and hugged her tightly. Y/n was shocked but hugged him back. They eventually let go of on and other.

Y/n spoke first. " I've loved you since we've met.."

"You mean when I tripped in your bedroom and threw a pillow at me thinking I was a ghost?" He chuckled. Y/n laughed as well.

"Yes you adorkable bonehead."She smiled but is slightly faded. "D-do you feel the same way?"

"Of course I do sunshine!! Why wouldn't I?"

"Well for starters I'm *insert flaws/ quirks (I'm gosh dang clumsy)* and-" 

He silenced her with a quick peck on the lips. Y/n's cheeks turned bright red. 

"Did you just?-" She asked. He simply answered with a 'Yep'.

Y/n's P.O.V

He kissed me. He. Freaking. Kissed me. OH MY LORD HE KISSED ME!! My face was so warm it wasn't funny. I grabbed him by his tunic and smashed my lips against his(?). I obviously caught him of guard but he melted into the kiss, it lasted longer than his, it was passionate and blissful. Our tongues intertwined and danced around. we eventually broke away for air.

"That..That was-"

"Amazing?" He smiled as I gently elbowed him.

"Stop finishing my sentences!!" I laughed. He laughed with me .

Dream's P.O.V

I Laughed with Y/n as I thought about the kiss. Everything finally caught up with me. We just kissed! It was lovely..My stars..I wanted that kiss to last longer but we needed oxygen.

I lightly brushed her cheek with my bony thumb, her skin was so soft.

"Hey sunshine? Does this mean we're a-"

"Couple?" She giggled eyes my eyes lowed in disbelief.

"Look who's finishing sentences now?..." I smiled at her.

"Yeah, well, you started it y'know?" I kissed her on the neck and took her by the hand. She blushed.

"Come on, let's get something to eat." I said as we started walking.

"Love you Dreamy."

"Love you to Sunshine"

HAHAH!! WHY DID THIS TAKE SO LONG SORRY IT'S SHORT!!!??? I'm sorry for my absents. School, I'm in grade 10. yaaaay. I guess. But I'm gonna try to get more stories done.
