"When you said that we were flying down to Miami, I didn't think we'd be going in this," I muttered, sliding my hand down the leather armrest on the plane.

Luca chuckled, raising an eyebrow as he leaned back into the seat. "What's the point of being rich if you can't buy toys like these?"

I nodded, still pursing my lips. "I don't think this consists as a toy."

He shrugged, smiling as he turned to look at me and grabbed my hand. He traced his thumb against my hand, sweetly and said, "I know we were planning on buying your dress as soon as we got there, but Killian wants me to meet with him before the wedding starts."

"Okay, that's fine. So, what should I do then?"

He took his wallet out of his pant pocket and handed it to me. "Just use my card; there's some cash in there too, just in case."

I raised an eyebrow. "You're very trusting. How do you know I'm not going to take your card and take all your money then hide in Mexico?"

Luca laughed. "I don't, I guess I just have to hope that you don't."

I took the wallet, pushing it in my purse and shook my head. "I'd never do that. Maybe before you paid me I would've considered it, but I have a pretty nice source of income."

He didn't say anything else, just continued rubbing his thumb against my hand. "It doesn't matter how expensive the outfit is, okay?"

I leaned my head on his shoulder and snuggled up to him as best as I could with the arm rest between us. "You're the best sugar daddy ever."

He laughed again, shaking his shoulders as he did so and bit my wrist playfully. I jumped, looking up at him with wide eyes and he pressed a gentle kiss to it. "Weirdo," I huffed, but didn't fight the grin on my lips.

During the rest of the flight, I fell asleep. I wasn't awake for the landing or arriving at the hotel. All I remember was making small talk with Luca in the private plane and then sleeping. I woke up in the hotel room, tucked in and alone.

Luca had left a note on the nightstand, telling me to let him know when I woke up and where I would be shopping.

Originally, I was going to wear a teal coloured dress, but as I walked by the little boutiques, a red dress caught my eye. It wasn't usually my style – I wore more revealing dresses, but on the mannequin, it looked really pretty – and on me it looks very elegant.

I even decided to keep my makeup light and look a little less Daniela from the present and more like Daniela from the past. As I stared at myself in the mirror, I was left surprised. It had been so long that I didn't wear red lipstick and dark makeup. I had almost forgotten what I looked like with a natural look.

The dress reached just above my knees. It was tight around my waist, almost alluding at an hourglass figure and square-shaped neckline stopped right above my cleavage, making me seem like I had stepped out of a 50's magazine.

I wore a simple gold necklace with a small pendant in the centre. I didn't even do much to my hair, I had washed it and blow dried it. By the time I had finished, my hand was ready to fall off, but my hair looked nice.

All in all, I was extremely excited for Luca to see me. I knew he had only seen me wearing revealing, tight clothes, so I couldn't wait for his reaction to my dress. If the dress had been in a different colour, I would have chosen it, but red looked great on me and I would save a teal coloured dress for another time.

I took most of my earrings off, leaving only the traditional earlobe piercing and two others above it. I wasn't going to completely change my appearance for him, but I didn't want his friends to think I was a hooker or some classless gold-digger.

I matched my heels with my black clutch. The foot was round at the tip with thick heels and a small strap around the ankle. They had a comfortable patch inside and the heel wasn't very high, so my feet could last a couple of hours encaged in them.

Even the heels were different from what I usually wore and I was extremely proud of myself. They didn't scream "stripper" or "hooker." The material was suede, which thankfully didn't throw off my outfit.

My phone dinged on the bed and I breathed in sharply, nervously. It was Luca and my heart did a stupid little summersault at the picture on the screen. I don't remember when I had taken it, but it was very Tumblr-y. He was looking out the window in his apartment and his hair had been a little tussled, giving him a rugged, but comfortable look.

I was such a creep.

Are you ready?

Yes. I immediately typed back.

A second later the phone buzzed again. Meet me downstairs.

I grabbed my clutch and stole one last glance at my reflection. Red lipstick always made me feel confident and now that I didn't have my signature colour, I felt a little out of place. But I still liked the glossy natural look I had – I just hoped Luca liked it, too.

Luca had been gone since we landed, which I was somewhat thankful for because I took an hour (almost two) in the shower shaving every bit of my body. I left my arms untouched because I kind of liked the natural fuzziness to them.

All throughout middle school and high school, boys made fun of my "hairy" arms, but I liked them. I grew to love the little hairy parts of my body. However, I didn't get along with the fuzzy bit above my mouth and my eyebrows were always waxed.

Nevertheless, I was clean-shaven and smelling as good as I could. I felt good, smelled good, and looked good.

At the sight of my sexy ass boss at the bottom of the staircase, I grinned. I thought my cheeks would split open by how hot he looked. It was almost pornographic. I would never get over how hot he looked in a suit. It was almost as good as seeing him naked.

"Hi," I tapped his shoulder, almost like a timid pendeja. Man, the butterflies in my stomach were going to kill me.

Luca turned around, looking me up and down and widened his eyes. "You look stunning!"

"Thank you," I swung my hips side to side, making the dress swing a bit. "You're looking extra handsome."

"I'm serious, Daniela," He spoke quietly, as if he couldn't believe the person standing in front of him was me. "When you texted me that you were changing the colour of the dress to red, I was a little nervous, but you look beautiful."

I raised an eyebrow, holding back the grin that wanted to shape my lips. "What? You don't think I can leave the hooker-look in the room?"

He gave me a look. "That's not what I meant. I just...you look different, that is all."

I raised my other eyebrow. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"I just wasn't expecting this from you," he sighed, not realising that I was just pushing his buttons. "You look very elegant."

"I didn't always look like a whore," I flipped my hair over my back and finished walking down the steps, to stand next to him.

Luca sighed again, tugging at my arm to turn me, so our eyes were meeting. "I don't think you look like a whore, hermosa. You look different, it just took me by surprise."

I rolled my eyes, grinning. "I'm kidding. I know I always wear clothes that would make a nun combust in flames. I just wanted to look a little different; I didn't want your friends to think you're fücking a hooker."

He ignored my candid use of words, smiling down at me almost...sweetly. I could have easily confused it for a loving gaze. He raised his hand, tucking back a piece of my hair and tilted my chin up, to kiss my mouth gently. "Il tuo sorriso ti sta bene."

"What?" I frowned, but glanced down at his mouth. Whenever he spoke Italian, not only did he get hotter, his mouth also curved a bit to sound out the words and I thought it was one of the hottest things about him.

"You wear your smile nicely," He translated, caressing the corner of my lip with his thumb, "it's one of my favourite things about you."

I widened my grin, feeling my cheeks turning a slight shade of pink and said, "That was one of the sweetest things you've told me."

"Come on," he wrapped his arm around my waist as we walked down to the car.

Luca reached over to grab my hand while he drove and I smiled down at our fingers. He probably didn't know how cheesy and girly he made me feel whenever he did that. His left hand held the steering wheel securely and he kept his gaze on the road, while I basically drooled over him.

He was wearing a silver Rolex on his left hand and seeing it gave me the same effect that I got whenever I saw him naked. "I swear I have a hand fetish."

"What?" He frowned, totally confused by my confession.

"Your hands look so damn sexy! They're veiny and strong and – ugh," I groaned, "I want them all over me."

He laughed, raising our hands to kiss mine gently. "Trust me, hermosa, as soon as the wedding reception finishes, my hands will be all over you."

"Is that a promise?"

He nodded. "Definitely."

I didn't say anything else for the rest of the drive. I was too focused on the similarities of Miami to Puerto Rico. Maybe it was all the palm trees or the shitty drivers, but I suddenly felt like we were back home.

It was a bit nostalgic, but I wasn't sad. I was focused on the good memories I had from my childhood.

The church was small and a bit secluded from the rest of the neighbourhood it was in. The architecture was antique and beautiful, it was like stepping back into the past. It was also decorated nicely, with peach coloured flowers and ribbons.

Luca held my hand firmly, smiling as we entered the church and the wedding planner told us where to sit. I tried to ignore all the religious paintings around the church because I was surprised that I hadn't combusted in flames.

I was more unholy than the average sinner, it should have been impossible for me to be inside a church. But God seemed to be in a happy mood and didn't strike me down the moment I stepped foot inside.

The ceremony began shortly after. I was surprised that Luca wasn't the best man, since, according to him, he was the groom's best friend, but he didn't seem to mind. He looked genuinely happy that his friend was getting married.

I wasn't very attracted to gingers, but the groom just had something about him. His facial hair was trimmed nicely, making his features look elegant, but rugged. His hair almost looked a reddish blonde, it was hard to explain, but it suited him. He was handsome.

"What's the groom's name again?" I whispered near Luca's ear.

"Killian."

I nodded and kept my mouth shut when the wedding court began to enter the church. The first couple that walked down the aisle were adorable. It was a little blonde girl with rosy cheeks and a cute toothy grin. Her eyes were a sparkling blue that almost looked fake, she looked like a porcelain doll.

The boy next to her had brown hair and was a little taller than him. He was adorable, too and seemed a bit shier than the girl. She threw the flower petals down the aisle so happily, it was adorable.

Following the ring bearer and the flower girl, was one of the sexiest couples I had seen. I didn't know if they were together, but they seemed to just...match. In a really weird way. He was covered in tattoos and I felt my lady bits weeping at the wedding band on his finger.

His wife was lucky as hell. He was way too handsome. The woman on his arm was very pretty, too. She had a wide smile on her lips and it could have been the dress, but she had a bit of a pregnancy bump. It wasn't very noticeable, so I couldn't be too sure.

After them, came a very pregnant blonde. She almost wobbled down the aisle, but she was very pretty. The man accompanying her down the aisle was paying more attention to her than where he was going. They looked like a bickering married couple. She would force grins at him, almost as if she were telling him that she wasn't going to fall and he would totally ignore them.

Finally, the renowned wedding march began to play melodiously through the church and the crowd stood up. I wasn't sure what I was expecting the bride to look like. Maybe it was a stupid assumption, but I expected a gringa for the gringo.

However, the woman walking down the aisle was not a gringa. She was Asian and to finish throwing my stupid assumptions out the window, a tall black man was walking her down the aisle.

I couldn't help myself. I was so damn happy that I let out a small squeal.

Luca frowned, turning back to me and I whispered. "Interracial wedding!"

He chuckled at my excited response and nodded. "Misumi is Japanese."

"She's so pretty," I whispered, almost in awe.

Her dress was long and strapless. The neckline was low, but adjusted to her breasts nicely, giving her an almost heart-shaped look. The train was long, too – almost five feet long. The dress must've weighed a ton, but she managed to walk down the aisle graciously.

Her head was held high, like a princess. Her makeup was done flawlessly, light and natural, but enough that it accentuated her features. Her bouquet was made up of peach coloured roses and the accessories on her dressed matched, making the photographer in me very happy at the congruence of it all.

The moment Killian saw his fiancée was heart melting. He clenched his fist, bringing it up to his mouth and bit down on it. Then, he pumped it in the air a couple of times and turned away, waving his hands near his face.

The crowd laughed and Misumi flipped her hair before stepping up on the altar. The man that walked her down the aisle, glared at Killian and said, "You better take care of my Ling-Ling."

"Eddie!" Misumi swatted his arm, laughing. He blew her a kiss in response and walked to the seats.

All through the ceremony, I couldn't stop thinking about how cute they were. They were both nervous and giddy, it was contagious. It was making me so happy to see strangers wanting a happily ever after.

I didn't pay much attention to what the priest said, but their vows were extremely heartfelt. Since I didn't know the couple, I didn't know the hardships that they went through, but apparently, Killian had given Misumi hell.

"Ellie had warned me not to catch feelings," Misumi laughed, "she told me that you were broken and hurt. That in return I would end up hurting myself. And I told her that I didn't want anything serious. I remember telling her on her wedding day that I wasn't going to marry you and look at us now. Two years later and you're the most important man in my life. I don't care that my parents don't approve of our marriage. I don't see you as a race, I see you as the man that made me see life in a unique way. A man that taught me love isn't easy, but it's worth fighting for. A man that I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with. So," she took the ring from the ringbearer, "with this ring, I promise to love you and support you through it all. This ring symbolises my promise to stick with you through the good and the bad, to love you no matter how hard you make it or how much you make me chase you."

Most of the crowd laugh and I turned to Luca with a confused look on my face. He smiled and leaned down to whisper near my ear. "According to Misumi, Killian was a pain in the ass. He had just lost the person he loved and they used each other for sex. Luckily for Killian, Misumi didn't give up easily and he realised he loved her before it was too late."

"That's a nice story," I whispered in return.

Killian's vows had been a little on the funny side, but I could tell it was because he was extremely nervous. It was obvious in his eyes that he loved her. It made my heart want to cry forever.

The way he held her when they kissed was proof enough that they loved each other genuinely. Whatever they had gone through, apparently made their love pretty strong.

Maybe it was just the atmosphere or that weddings made everyone super gooey and lovey, but I found myself holding Luca and cuddling up to him warmly. He made me feel good.

The reception was held back at the hotel. Workers ran around, trying to make everything was perfect for the couple and I followed Luca silently as he tried to find our table.

Once the wedding court and the newlyweds arrived, the room seemed to become alive. People stood up to take pictures with the groom and bride and music blared through the speakers loudly.

The table we were sitting at, was right next to the wedding court's table, so it was really amusing watching the friends interact with each other. The woman that had looked pregnant and the guy that walked Misumi down the aisle seemed to be the closest.

After they gave their speeches and thanks to the guests, the buffet was opened and Luca pulled me behind him to get a plate.

Normally, I knew when men found me attractive; it was easy to tell when I was the centre of attention. But at that moment, Luca seemed to be the centre of a man's attention. Eddie was his name, I think.

He couldn't stop eyeing Luca like a piece of candy and I was getting slightly irritated. He was my piece of candy.

"So are you going to introduce me to your date?" Killian walked over with Misumi trailing behind after we had eaten.

Luca smiled at me. "Killian, this is Daniela. Daniela, this is my best friend Killian."

"Pleasure to meet you," I smiled, shaking his hand firmly and turned to Misumi. "I absolutely adore your dress."

She laughed, pointing to Eddie and the other woman in their group – the one with the tattooed god. "My best friends designed it." She turned to them and loudly said, "Ellie, Eddie, come here!"

They walked over, Ellie grinning widely and Eddie eyeing Luca. However, something that I didn't expect happened; he turned to me and winked. Was he interested in us both!?

"Daniela here was telling me how she likes the dress."

"Well, sweetheart," Eddie drawled, "I like your face."

"Eddie!" Ellie swatted his arm, rolling her eyes, "She's with a date!"

"So?" He winked at me, "I don't see a ring on her finger." That got a laugh out of me; it used to be my motto too. "And I don't see a ring on his finger either." He winked at Luca, who raised an eyebrow in mild confusion.

"Please excuse our sexually confused best friend," Ellie sighed, pulling up a chair to the table. "He will flirt with anything that walks on two legs."

"Hey!" Eddie held a hand up to his heart. "That's not true!"

"Eddie," Ellie turned to him, "Ace is my husband and you still try to flirt with him."

"He's hot!" He looked at me and reached for my hand, "Girl, look at that man," he pointed at the tattoo god, "does he or does he not look fückable?"

"I wouldn't answer that if I were you," Misumi giggled, "Ellie's pregnant."

I shrugged, wrapping my arm around Luca's. "He's the hottest in the room, to me."

Eddie nodded, biting his lips at Luca. "Girl, you are oh-so right! Wanna share?" I laughed, shaking my head and he pouted in response. "Everyone got all the hot guys! Misumi got Killian – the hot cop. Ellie got Ace the hot tattooed mechanic. You got the hot-" He turned to Luca, "what do you do?"

"Own my own tech company."

"Ohmygosh!" He gasped, "You're the guy that hacked the thing to get Ellie back! I have to thank you for getting our girl! Do you want to meet me in the bathroom-"

"Eddie!" Misumi smacked him upside the head, "shut the heck up, you're scaring him!"

He pouted his lips, rubbing the spot she had just smacked and continued his rant. "Anyway, you got the hot IT guy and what do I get?!" He looked at everyone surrounding the table, not really expecting an answer, but doing it for dramatic effect, "I get no one!"

The little flower girl ran up to the table and said, "You have me, Uncle Eddie!"

He nodded, lifting her off the ground and sat her on his lap. "That I do, sweetheart."

She grinned up at him, an adorable toothy smile. "Mommy," she looked at Ellie, "Daddy wants to talk to you."

"Tell Daddy that he can come get me himself, my feet hurt."

"Okay!" She jumped off Eddie's lap and ran off, screaming at the top of her lungs. "DADDY! MOMMY SAID TO COME GET HER BECAUSE HER FEET HURT!"

Tattooed guy lifted her up in his arms and made his way over to the table. He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead and said, "Want me to rub your feet, Princess?"

She blushed, shaking her head and muttered, "Not here, Ace."

"You can rub mine," Eddie fluttered his eyelashes quickly and dramatically.

Ace chuckled, seeming unfazed by Eddie's comment and Misumi said, "This is normal between them, don't even worry about it."

I liked them. They all had their own piece of the puzzle that created their friendship. It was nice seeing such a large group of friends actually get along with each other. I never had that.

Luca engaged in a conversation with Killian about a job and Misumi went off with Ellie to the bathroom. That left Ace, who was playing with his daughter, Eddie and me.

"So, are you Luca's girlfriend?"

"Nah," I shook my head, "we just sleep together."

Eddie raised an eyebrow, pulling his chair closer to mine, suddenly a bit more interested. "How'd you meet?"

I shrugged, grinning. "I'm his cleaning lady."

He gasped, almost falling out of the chair and got even closer, so no one else heard our conversation. "Do you wear a sexy maid outfit?"

I laughed, shaking my head. "No, I don't. Sometimes I want to, though."

"Girl," He whispered, "I make clothes for a living, I can hook you up with some sexy maid outfits, if you want."

I realised then that I felt extremely comfortable around Eddie. He was almost the guy version of me. He was comfortable asking questions about sex and seemed to have no shame. I found myself telling him all about Luca and me.

"You're my new favourite girl!" Eddie gushed, slinging his arm around my shoulders. "You're fücking hot and-"

The little flower girl gasped, covering her mouth with her hands. "I didn't bring my swear jar!"
