Sakura returned to the bush. There was a distant barking, creating a vibrant red to flash in her mind. She sat down, Tamao had left, likely off getting food- or so she thought.

The young eevee happily played around until the sun set.

It's been a few days. Sakura was by the creek. A loud shriek sounded nearby. It was her brother. Sakura's heart dropped as she shot up, wondering if her brother was okay. In the back of her mind, she couldn't help but to think that the red of the shriek was a pretty color.

Barking got closer, the red becoming unbearable. A houndoom flashed through the trees, and Sakura shrieked. The houndoom bit her ear, to which, she screamed again. It hurt; the blood was warm against her fur.

Sakura twisted around and slashed at the houndoom. It yipped and growled. Sakura growled back, her fur rising. The houndoom laid down in submission. "Wow, that was surprisingly easy!" Sakura thought. "Go home." She told the houndoom. It nodded and ran off. 

Sakura shook her pelt off and headed back to the bush. Tamao was there, a large scratch across his face. It kept bleeding. "Are you okie?" Sakura asked. Tamao looked up, slightly shocked that Sakura was still alive. He nodded. "I'm fine. Let's just- head into town. It'll uh, be safer there." Tamao stated. Sakura nodded, and happily followed her brother.
