A few days have passed, and things are slowly getting better now that Jonathan and Anne are finally together as a couple. There have been positive changes in their relationship. Jonathan is making an effort to be more understanding, loving, and supportive, while Anne is learning to trust Jonathan again. The tensions that once existed between them are melting away now.

However, the tension between Anne and Carriette hasn't faded away. Carrie has been staying over at her friend's house for the last three days and only returned back home once it was late night, Anne was feeling sad and worried, She really needed to talk to her but Carriette was avoiding her at all cost.

Anne would have raised her voice at her daughter by now, but there was something that was stopping her. Because if she did, Anne would have been hurt, and she won't forgive herself for yelling at her.

It was another day at school as Anne was seen drinking some milk while touching her belly, She had a small smile on her face and couldn't wait to grow a bump in the next few months, She was feeling excited to meet her child.

She sipped while thinking about the baby, until she heard footsteps and Carriette was seen walking downstairs and was ready to head to school, Anne frowned and looked at her daughter as Carrie stared at her.

Anne: Carrie, Should I drop you to school?

Carriette: . . . No, my friends are waiting for me outside.

Anne: Friends?. .

Carriette: I'm going to school with them, Don't worry.

Anne was silent as Carriette was about to walk away until Winters said something.

Anne: Carriette, You haven't spoken to me for a long time. . . Can we please talk after school?

Carriette: I'm not in a mood.

Anne: How long are you gonna do this? I'm your mother-

Anne stopped her sentence and just sighed, Carriette continued narrowing her eyes before her gaze softened a little bit as Carrie said something.

Carriette: I'm leaving right now. . . Just take care of yourself, okay? Call Emma over to our house.

Anne was shocked to finally hear some affection from Carriette, It melted her heart as she continued staring at her mother before walking away, Anne didn't say anything and looked at the ground as she heard the front door was shut closed.

Carriette was walking while thinking about her mother, She was still angry at her and was stubborn to speak to her. But deep down, She was concerned since Anne was pregnant and she was going to be sick and tired for a while, She still cared about her mother regardless of what happened.

There was only an hour left until school was over, Anne was watching a movie while laying on the couch, trying to distract herself from the tiredness and sickness. Winters was starting to feel hungry as she slowly got up from the couch and decided to cook something for herself.

Just when she got up, She heard the bell ringing as Anne looked at the time on her phone and knew it wasn't Carriette, She thought it could be Emma. But she was too exhausted to walk to the front door as she said something.

Anne: The door is unlocked, Come inside.

The door opened as Anne fixed her hair until she was surprised by someone else instead of Emma.

Anne: Jonathan?

Jonathan: *Smiles* Hey, love.

Anne's heart skipped a beat as she looked at him in shock, Jonathan had a smile on her face as He was holding a bouquet of flowers.

Her eyes widened as Jonathan walked towards her and kissed her cheek before handing her the flowers, Anne had a huge smile on her face and already loved the affection he was giving to her.

Anne: Thank you, Jonathan. I'm so glad to see you.

Jonathan: You're welcome, I knew you would like it.

Anne: But I thought you were still at work?

Jonathan: *Chuckles* It's not important, I want to spare some time with you.

He pulled her close as Anne blushed a little as Jonathan moved a strand of her hair and said something.

Jonathan: You look beautiful.

Anne: *Blushes* Really? I thought I looked like a mess.

Jonathan: No, you're still beautiful as always.

She giggled and smiled at him while hugging him, Jonathan wrapped his arm around her waist as Anne kissed his cheek.

Soon, Anne began making her way to the kitchen as Jonathan was following her.

Jonathan: What are you doing, Anne?

Anne: Just feeling a little hungry.

Jonathan looked at her as Anne opened the fridge and grabbed a few ingredients and placed it on the counter, He slowly approached her before grabbing her waist and kissed her neck as Anne was giggling.

Jonathan: Why are you cooking? I'll order something for you.

Anne: You don't have to.

Jonathan: It's okay, Just tell me what you want.

Anne: Aww, you're such a sweetheart, How come I never saw this side of you?

He smiled a little and caressed her waist as Anne smiled and waited for his response, Both of them were already in love with each other.

Jonathan: Maybe it took someone special like you to awaken the sweetness in me, and you're going to see this side for the rest of our lives.

His voice became husky as he slowly kissed Anne's neck, She laughed while holding his arms as Crawford couldn't help but smile at her adoreble laughter.

However, his words touched her heart, She was really happy to see this side of him, Jonathan carried Anne bridal style and began making his way to the living room as Anne was smiling at him.

Eventually, He ordered some food as both of them were talking to each other, Anne rested her legs on his lap as Jonathan was caressing her legs while listening to her, Both of them chose to forget about the tension that happened for the last few days, They were discussing about their child as well and Jonathan was cracking some jokes, making her laugh. He slowly changed within these three days after confessing his love to Anne.

As they continued talking to each other, Anne wanted to ask Jonathan a question about something. It was a perfect moment to tell him about this.

Anne: You know, There is something I'm curious about.

Jonathan: I'm listening, love.

Anne: You never really told me what your life was like? Why do you choose to be alone?

Jonathan was silent and thought about her words, He knew that Anne needed to know about him as Jonathan cleared his throat and spoke to her.

Jonathan: I can say that nobody really liked me, not even my parents. They neglected me

Anne's eyes widen as she looks shocked. However, Jonathan kept a small smile on his face, but deep down, he felt hurt, saying that.

Anne: Seriously?

Jonathan: *Sighs* I never felt affection and love from anyone in my life, My parents would constantly fight, and they never cared about me, They cared about their own problems instead. Even when I attended school, no one really liked me.

Anne frowned and looked sad as Jonathan looked at the ground and continued speaking to her.

Jonathan: But I never really cared about it too much, However as I grew older. . . I craved for affection and intimacy. I was just tired of being lonely.

He spoke in a low tone and looked at the ground as Anne felt bad for him.

Jonathan: And I'm sure you won't be ready with what I'm about to say next.

Anne:. . . . It's okay, Just tell me.

Jonathan: I actually had another assistant before you. . . And we did the same thing as what we did.

Anne's eyes widen as Jonathan feels a little guilty for not telling this earlier. However, Anne wanted to listen to him as she said something

Anne: You're telling me there was someone else before me?

Jonathan: That was. . . Three years ago. I was attracted by her beauty, but it didn't last too long.

Anne: . . . . Why?

Jonathan: I noticed she was taking advantage of me, probably for the money or something. We had a heated argument, and I fired her immediately.

Anne: . . . Does anyone know about this?

Jonathan: I feel ashamed to say that nobody knows about this.

He fixed his hair as Anne looked at the ground, She still couldn't believe this. Jonathan looked at her as he spoke to her.

Jonathan: Are you angry at me?

He spoke in a soft tone as Anne looked at her, She wasn't really angry at him, but she just wished he told her sooner.

Anne: No, It's okay. It's just the past

Jonathan felt relieved hearing that as Anne continued staring at the ground before he pulled her to his lap as Anne looked at him, He slowly leaned closer to her face while holding her waist.

Jonathan: Believe me, She wasn't like you, Anne. You changed me.

Anne had a small smile on her face as He smiled at her.

Jonathan: And you showed me something that I'm been wanting for my whole life.

Anne: . . . You deserved better, I think loneliness is the worst thing to feel in life.

Jonathan: I never realised how much it hurt me. . .

Anne continued to look at him as Jonathan sighed before shaking his head.

Jonathan: But it's okay, I have you now. And I can't wait for our little one.

Anne: *Smiles* I can't wait as well. Just remember that you will give our child the life that you always wanted.

He had a genuine smile on his face as Jonathan kissed her cheek.

Jonathan: You're right about that, I hope to do my best.

She touched his cheek as both of them continued smiling at each other, Jonathan then hugged her tightly as Anne smiled to herself, He didn't seem to let go of her since he arrived at the house.

Jonathan; I love you.

Anne: I love you too. . . Sir.

She giggled as Jonathan looked at her and chuckled while hugging her.

Jonathan: Just call me that during bed, okay?~

She gasped before Anne laughed as Jonathan chuckled again and continued hugging her.

They were lost in the moment of their love and affection, They chose to look into the bright future while raising their child, and Jonathan was also ready to accept Carriette. . . But only if she was ready.

Knowing that nothing was going to stop them now, both of them were embraced by the comfort and warmth, They were already deeply in love like husband and wife.
