Deandra Serano

"Deandra, I want to introduce you to my friend's son." My mother held my hand and dragged me across the room.

"Okay." I just decided to go along with it since making new friends won't hurt anyone right?

"Matilda!" My mother called her friend and I know Matilda. We met a few times before but never really know her that well.

"Deandra! It's been a long time since I've seen you." She said and gave me a brief hug.

"You're so beautiful." She said as she held my hand.

"Where's Mario?" My mother asked and Matilda turned her head around calling her son, Mario. When Mario turned around, my eyes widen. He smirked when our eyes meet.

"Darling, this is Deandra. Deandra, this is my one and only son, Mario. He's been begging me to introduce you to him." Mario put his hand in front of me and I shook it.

"Nice to meet you." He said.

"Nice to meet you too, Mario." I said and my mother gestured me to talk to him. Our mothers left us alone and I grabbed a glass of champagne.

"Didn't I tell you that we will meet again?" He said.

"You did, I guess what a small world."

"Getting smaller if I may add." He said chuckling and I turned to him.

"I guess I underestimated you." I said and took a sip of my champagne.

"Follow me." He said as he walked away first. I let out a sigh and put the glass on the table in front of me. I walked out from the ballroom and followed him to the lift.

He pressed the lift button and we got into the lift together. He pressed his room floor and I leaned to the lift wall looking at him completely suspicious.

"I'm really surprised that you came to me." I said and he nodded. He walked out from the lift first and I followed him. He opened his suite room and gestured me to go in first.

"You made a mistake by finding me first." I said as I sat on the sofa. Mario gestured me to wait as he walked to his bedroom.

"Here." He threw the small box across the room and I caught it easily.

"Where's the other two?" I asked him and he smirked. I raised my eyebrows looking at him curiously.

"Ah.. I get it."

"She's in Lake Como, isn't she?" Mario smirked but before I could answer. Someone banging on the door so hard, he gestured me to wait and he quickly ran to the door.

I was going to open the box when I heard Kai's voice calling my name. I quickly grabbed my bag and walked towards the door. Kai was already pinning Mario to the wall.

"Kai, let him go.." I said as I quickly pulled Kai away from choking on Mario. Kai looked at me completely disappointed and I grabbed his hand.

"Lake Como, I think you should there now cause.. you're not going to like it if you're late." I said to Mario and he nodded. I dragged Kai out and turned to all the guards that he brought with him. He pulled his hand away and I sighed.

"Get us a room." I turned to my guards and Kai ran his hands through his hair.

"You better explain or I will kill him." He said as he looked at me with fire burning in his eyes. I threw him the small box and he caught it.

"Open it." I said as I leaned to the wall. Kai looked at it instead of opening it.

"What? You thought I'm cheating on you?" I asked raising my eyebrows.

"You went into the room with him. You're alone with a wild-blooded man, of course anyone would think that you-"

"What? Sleep with him?" I asked and Kai sighed.

"You should know better that I'm in love with you, Kai. You're being ridiculous.. open the box." I said and Kai opened it slowly. His eyes widen when he sees what's inside.

"Ms. Serano." I turned to my guard and he gave me a hotel room key. I gestured Kai to follow me into the lift to go to the upper level. I told my guards to leave us alone and we walked into the presidential suite room.

"Ruby? He's a jeweler?" Kai asked as he closed the door. I took off my highheels and walked towards the bedroom.

"Deandra, why do you need a ruby?" He asked as I put my hair to the side.

"Will you help me unzip my dress?" I said but instead of helping me, he stood in front of me demanding explanation. I chuckled looking at his expression. I put my arms around his neck and leaned towards him.

"I want explanation, Deandra." He said as he stopped me. I leaned for a kiss but Kai stopped me again.

"Explain it to me first." He said as he put the box on the bed.

"His name is Mario, he's Thalia's ex-boyfriend. Secret ex-boyfriend to be exact, they met about a year ago. They fell in love instantly but one day he decided to.. end things with her without any explanations." I said as I grabbed the small box.

"And of course, now he's back.. bribing me to help him." I said as I opened the box looking at the ruby in awe.

"She's in Lake Como?" Kai asked.

"Oh yes, she is. I would pay big money to see what will happen once he arrives in Lake Como." I smirked as I turned to Kai.

"What? She has a boyfriend already?" Kai tried to guess and I shook my head. I turned my body around making him unzip my dress.

"Her friend with benefits." I said as Kai pulled the zipper down.

"But they already broken up so.." I turned around and crashed my lips to his. He wrapped his arms around my waist and he picked me up. I wrapped my legs around him and he laid me on the bed.

Suddenly Kai's phone rang and he took it out from his pocket. He turned to me and he showed me the caller ID.

It's my father.
