Quick Explanation: Gemlings are a fan made idea (not mine) that gems, when their gems touch in a moment of intimacy, can produce a geode. Which, after a little while hatches into a gemling which either looks like one parent or the other.

If gemlings fuse they become stronger. However, once fused gemlings become a perminate fusion as they cannot unfuse.
