"Thats a lot of wagons." A citizen points out after watching many wagons pass through. "What's all that about?" Another asks. "You mean you haven't heard yet? Imagine all of the military higher-ups are meeting inside the castle. They finally disbanding the scout regiment. See?"The citizen points behind him. "They're building those gallows to hang the commanders from. They're probably getting their final judgement as we speak."

Inside the castle

the four men and the King stare at Erwin and Donna as he goes to speak. "One facing your enemy, you can't just guard with a shield. You need a spirit to dispatch the threat. If you disband the scout regiment, it will be akin to humanity tossing its spear aside. Suppose that in this very instant, wall rose was breached. Once again, half of humanity will be forced to flee, this time to wall Sina. But the earlier evacuation left us with only a few more days worth of supplies at best. And when they run out, locals and refugees will be forced to fight for survival. Wall Rose and wall Sina-All of humanity would split,And the Civil War would quickly erupt...Even if the walls are not breached again, well Rose is suffering from a perpetual shortage of food. It may not be titans that breach wall Sina.It's entirely possible that the residents of wall rose will do it first."

Military Polices and Garrison members look at each other at Erwin's statement as he continued on what he was saying. "Wall Maria must be reclaimed. If humanity is to Have any hope for the future, then that is the way." One of the four men spoke. "And you think that such an undertaking Requires the scouts?"

"Our duty as Scouts has Ever been to charge forth at the enemy. cowering in weight behind these walls will solve nothing. That's my belief. Unless you have some sort of secret plan by which we might overcome this ordeal."

Silence

Then, one of the men lets out a cough. "Ahem. Commander, it seems you miss understand what this is. The reason we brought you here is not to discuss our future within the walls. Nor is it on account of something as simple as murder. Clause 6 of the Charter of humanity. One must Never prioritise their own gain over humanity survival. You've broken the most sacred of laws." The other men nod. "Indeed. You refused to hand over Eren Jaeger and Latina romanoff times and time again. And through this selfish action, you've violated our charter" But then, Erwin retorts. "But Eren and Latina are vital for reclaiming Wall Maria!"

"That is not for the Scouts to determine! Eren Jaeger Is a titan whose abilities are far from understood! Latina romanoffs abilities are in the same! Might as well call her a witch" Donna glared at the man who called her little girl a witch

"As far from understood! To shelter them within our walls is to put all of humanit's at risk.And the very idea of allowing a single commander and his woman to have control over them is absurd."

The other men add. "As shown by the way You maliciously schemed against the state. Not only did you feign the abductions order to conceal their whereabouts, you also slew dimo Reeves when he learned to much. This amounts to blatant treason."

"Its not a stretch to describe you as a threat to humanity"Then, one of the men turned their heads over to Pixis and calld out to him. "Commander Pixis."

"Hmm?"

"The Garrison and Scout Regiments frequently risk the lives side-by-side on the front lines. How are we to know that you aren't working together now?" One of the men questions him.

" I am deeply disturbed to hear that you believe we would align ourselves with the scout regiment. There is nothing more sensors than humans killing each other. In the scrounge a bit of world that's been left to ask, it would take but a single spoke to in golf all. Just before the battle to retake trust began, I said as much to the man I lead, and then sent hundreds to the deaths." Pixis says as Nile slightly moves his head and looks at him.

"If the Scout Regiment is that fatal spark, it should be smothered at once." Pixis adds, making Nile slightly widen his eyes. " Think about it. What if the Titans did manage to break through the wall only to find next to no one inside it?... The pool monsters might have to go hungry." One of the men couldn't help but let out a small laugh as he then said. "Very well, then. Let's begin deliberations."

One of the men stood up and looked over at the King. "Your Majesty... with your permission." And so, the men began to discuss as Nile couldn't help but think, looking over at Erwin.

'Erwin... Is this how you want it to end?!' He then looked at Donna, who hadn't said a word ' Donna god sake say something!' After a minute or so, three out of the four men took went back to their seats as one bowed at the King before looking back at Erwin. "Now then, in the Kings name, I'll announce your final judgement. Commanders erwin  smith and Donna blitz.You have been found guilty of violating clause 6 of the Charter of humanity. Your sentences are death. Your executions will be carried out at once. Take them."Everything seemed to go slow as a two Military Police was going to grab them. Nile looked at them and thought again. 'Erwin! Donna! Is this what you wanted?!....what about your dream?!... your marriage?!' But as he stood, Erwin formed a smile, making Nile stare at him confusedly and the door slamming open.

It was a member of the Garrison Regiment, as everyone stared at her before she saluted and then shouted. "Wall Rose has fallen!... the gates have been breached!" Nile's mouth drops, fear in his eyes as the girl continued on with her report

"It was just like wall Maria. The armoured and colossal titans appeared out of Thin air and broke through both gates in calaneth district! Currently, countless refugees are flooding this way from the east." The four men were shaking at this report as Pixis raises his arm and shouts. "Secure an evacuation route! Order all available garrison trips to make for the eastern front and defend the people!We must get those evacuees into wall Sina! Hurry and go! Saving the people is our highest priority!"

"Sir!" The Garrison members saluted, ready to move out, but one of the men screams. "No, wait!" Pixis looks over at him with furrowed eyebrows. "Hmm?"

" I want every last gate to wall Sina closed off! Not a single refugee will be allowed inside this wall!" Everyone stares at him confusedly, even Nile, as he turns around like he was insane. "Huh? B-But... all those people? Everyone in wall Rose will die! Your commanding us to standby well half of humanity gets devoured?"

" like erwin said, If we let them in, then we'll end up in a civil war. The rule of law must be protected above all! The government mustn't fail!"

"Uh... We can't be sure. That's only a possibility. There is no guarantee that-!"

"It's enough That the possibility exists! Our Authority is and must always be absolute! Now follow your orders!"Pixis averts his eyes over to the Garrison girl, who slightly gasps, looks down, and runs off. "Damn it..." The four men had gathered together as one mumbled. "To think that the wall would end up getting breached at a time like this..." Another adds. "Although, there is a silver lining Here. We've already secured the power. Before too long, the vessel will take it and then I'll problems will end" Another nods. " very well.This is far from ideal, but there's no point in losing our composure here. We still have one wall, and Lord reiss should be back soon."

" Agreed. We are still safe for now." Nile Was still staring in shock" We have our orders. Let's get those gates closed!" A Military Police tells his commander. "Hold on!" Nile said, but this made more of his soldiers argue. "The refugees are coming now!"

Nile looks at his soldier before looking away. Then, the small talk of what Erwin said pops in his head.'Who should decides? Who has the right?' He then thought about what his old friend victor said in the past 'One day nile, do the right thing, even if it means going against what others believe is bad, cause deep down, if you believe it's good, then go for it, dont back down...'

"Whats taking so long? Go do your duty!" The man who spoke mostly of the time shrieked. "Ignoring my orders is an act of treason!" Nile had his eyes closed, eyes twitching as he finally blurted out. "Then I guess I'm a traitor."

"Say What?!"His soldiers stare at him with shock in their eyes. "But sir!..." Nile continued to have his eyes close, shaking his head. "I can't... I am a citizen of wall rose!" He then opened his eyes, glaring at the man. "I refuse to shut the gates on those people!" " you dare to-"

"I stand with him."Everyone looks over at the door to see soldiers piling in with guns in their hands and Zachary with them. "P-premier Zachary..." The man uttered out as Pixis spoke up after being silent.

"Did you find the way they reacted surprising? Or was it expected?" Zachary adjusts his glasses. "Surprising? Not a bit."

"Premier Zachary. what's the meaning of this?!"

"That report you all just heard was fabricated. There is no cause for alarm. As of this moment there have been no reports of any Titan attack." Zachary explained, making the man glare at him. " bastard! This was all a farce?!" Pixis looks over at him and walks between Erwin and Nile, as he stated. "It wasn't his plan. It was mine."

"Pixis?!" Nile exclaimed. "It would appear that most of the interior police Are of rounding up scouts somewhere. Which worked out nicely for me. With a little help from the creed of course."Pixis said, which made the men by the kings throne gasp

"The creed?! You involved those criminals?! And what are you saying ?!" The man puzzled. "When you asked me, I declared to you in earnest that the garrison regiment is not aligned with the survey corpse. But I forgot to mention something else. We are not aligned with your assembly either."The man gasps while Pixis continues.

"That's right. Although I agree with erwin on several points, I was still willing to put My trust in your government, so long as you could prove yourself to be the better choice for humanity. Because you have knowledge that we don't, about the Titans and the walls... How do you show that you actually gave a dam about protecting the people you Govan, I would have stood by and watched as you sent Erwin and Donna to the gallows...In fact, depending on the choice you made,All of us were prepared to forfeit our lives. However... You've made it clear that our suspicions were correct. It's true that we soldiers known next to nothing about the Titans and the powers. But I dare say that despite this fact, humanity is safer in our hands. especially considering those children who were missing Cases that you declared closed!" Nile gasped when hearing the last part

"What?! Don't be such a fool! Just what do you expect to accomplish by threatening us?!" The man shrieked. "You'll fail. The people will never obey you! The monarchy has ruled for over 100 years. You would never gain the support of the nobles!!"

"It would appear that you've misunderstood what this is. You see, it's far more than a mere threat. It's a coup d'etat." The girl Garrison member came running in the room and approach Zachary, giving him a quick salute as she said. "Interior police have been subdued.Capital is secured, sir" "well done" The man gasped as Zachary looked up at him, stating.

" to be a soldier can sometimes mean obey your command over your king." Then, Pixis added. " and that's especially true when the king's a pretender. Be exposed and replaced" The man gasped once more. "This is real?... you plan to..." He then glares at them again, taking steps forward. "Don't think for one second that this coup has a sliver of legitimacy!"

"Given the scenario you were presented with, your choice to close wall Sina' gates! Broke close six of the Charter of humanity you idiot!..." Donna finally spoke, "Furthermore, you installed a puppet king in order to to seize the reins of power for yourselves! You selfish pricks! This crime is known as treason! "

Silence roamed the room

The man growled, stomped over to the throne, and screamed. "Shit! Wake up!" The supposed 'king' awoke from his slumber and questioned the man in front of him. "What? Is it dinner time?"

"Oh, Shut up your mouth you stupid oaf!" Then, the man and the other three were taken away. Erwin's hand was uncuffed along with Donna's hands as Nile looked over at him quickly. "Erwin...Donna... looks like you managed to pull it off." But he notices their faces. "Wait. You don't seem happy" He looks over at Nile. "I'm thinking... humanity is on a new path. One far more dangerous than the last."

"Donna... What did commander Pyxis mean. The children cases were closed?" She eyed him " they close the files of the missing children's case years ago. "She then turned to him "sorry Nile. but I had to post in a spy within their ranks, he did some digging and he found the case is closed along with one you're not gonna be happy about...." She pulled out the letter she and erwin read

"victors was closed as well... and you won't believe who was responsible for the murder..." he took the letter and opened it, began reading then gasped when he saw what was inside " no way... it was them all along." Erwin nodded

"We were equally as surprised as you are.The interior police were responsible for victor's murder. They kidnapped his children along with the other children in the missing cases. As soon as they learned about Victor's daughter. They wanted to Seize the power for themselves and turn people into living weapons. But it never worked on adults so they decided kidnapping children inside wall Sina...And close the case's to cover it up for new recruits" Donna explained, painfully " all this time...I worked with murder and kidnappers..." Nile whispered  " It's all right now...We finally found the victors murderers, He and Anna have now been given the Justice they deserved" erwin finished " they can now rest in peace"

In the forest

Grayson sit between Levi and Mike, showing the paper Hange gave, while the rest of everyone look over their shoulders. Hange and Moblit stand in front of them, explaining what all has happened since they've been gone."And there you have it. The coup was successful. Premier Zackly now has full control of the capital and government. For the time being, at least, the nobles seem to be staying in line," Hange finishes the explanation of events."Okay, but what about the incident with Mr. Reeves?" Armin inquires."We got a public confession out of one of the interior police. Reeves' son, Flegel, really pulled through for us." She smiles,

Meanwhile with flegel

At a newspaper factory, he has pinned a man against the wall and shrieked. "Come on! Don't you get it yet? The government doesn't give a shit about saving any of us! They even killed Victor Romanoff! The man who served better to anyone in this world! You can face the truth now, or you can die wishing you had!"

"We have to do this! If Titans attack again, all the things you're protecting will be gone!" A reporter behind Flegel adds on. "There'll Be No company. Our families will die! Let's print the truth before that happens!" And so, they get to work, and that's how Hanji received the paper.

Back to the forest

"It's all written right there. The abuse of power, the bogus charges against the scouts, the murder of victor and Anna romanoff, the kidnappings, and that King Fritz was both a puppet and a fraud. It's clear that we only acted in self-defense. In short, we're no longer criminals."

celebration was let out as they screamed.Connie kicked the air, Sasha jumped while holding Mikasa in one arm, Jean and Marco raised both fists in the air, reiner held Graysons head ruffing his hair, Zane just patted bertholt's back as he sighs in relief, and Lizzy giving Ymir a hug who returned it, and Drake and Armin hugged each other as they fist bump the sky.

The man who was tied up against the tree had his eyes widened at the sudden news. "That can't be... they beat us?..." Hanji walked over to Levi as the group behind him continued to cheer their hearts out. "Looks like erwin's gamble paid off." He said.Hanji nodded, looking at the now free Scouts.

"That it did. But it wasn't just Erwin who gambled. Many people had to make a lot of hard choices for this to work." Hanji continued to look at them before she heard Levi walk beside her, saying. " whereas my choices got Three of your people killed."

He looks at her in the corner of his eyes. "I'm sorry." Hanji just sends him a smile as the two stare at each other for a moment before Levi looked away from her. " here's the thing. The interiors may have lost, but not all of them know it. They still have eren, Latina and historia, too. We need to find them quickly."

"Right. I think I know where they might be." Hanji said, before pulling out a book. Levi, and the others, who've calmed down and stopped cheering, look over at Hanji as she stated. "Let's get there and put an end to this fight."

Largely due to erwin's Actions, it was declared that the old system of rule would be dismantled. Once the military had secured the capital, They made the announcement immediately. The declaration was given from the very gallows That Erwin and Donna were meant to be executed on.

"That's right." Nile said, as Erwin was about to climb in the wagon. "It's exactly as premier Zachary explained in the speech. Please Understand that our objective here is not to establish military rule. We intend to replace Fritz with a monarch Born of the true royal bloodline. They'll be responsible for leading humanity. And that includes us"

"I get what you're saying but frankly why should the people believe that your king is any more legitimate than the one you disposed?" A reporter said, " I'm sure you understand that the people are quite concerned. No one knows who to trust at this point."

In the wagon, Erwin is seated with Zachary, as Donna sits opposite them, looking out the window. "for the sake of humanity, It might have been better to let that government stand. Like commander pixis was saying, they have far more knowledge than us, and they've kept Emergency going at least this far. Even if they would've watched as half of of the human race perished, it's better than letting us go extinct.... Should I have given up? Let them take eren and Latina?... surrendered my life and put my comrades at risk, and put my trust in their selfish with them? Do you late now. Instead, I endangered us all." Erwin muttered

" honestly I advised against it. They were making people suffer... children included..." Donna muttered, Zachary looks over at him and says. "Your duty is as painful a burden as ever, I see. Perhaps death would've been easier for you. So tell me, why didn't you do is you just described?" Erwin looks over at him. "I'm not sure..."

"I don't I tell you my own reason? "His face than changes to a pissed off look "I've hated those arrogant bastards for a long time!" The other two commanders were speechless

Well, at any rate, if you hadn't done it today I would've given it a shot myself before I kick the bucket. "Heh, I guess I'm quite the scoundrel, huh?" then man then looked slightly down "I'm telling you this because I know that you're the same."

Erwin looks away from him. "You made the choice that would keep you alive.Some part of you decided that humanities fate only mattered if you could live to see it." The blonde then said. "I... must be incredibly conceded of think that."

" it's your turn to answer now. Why did you risk is all just to bring them down?."

It details a certain incident that occurred five years ago on the Reiss Estate," she tells us

Grayson frown, he looked at the others who had the same look as him ' and it looks like I'm not the only one suspicious about it' He thought while looking at Hange to continue."To top it all off, this incident occurred just a few days before Historia's mother was killed by the interior police. So we know that in the immediate wake of losing his family, Rod Reiss sought out Historia. And something tells me that it wasn't out of a newfound paternal affection."

"Well, she is of royal blood. Or do you think that bloodline has some other secret?" Levi looks to his right at Hange."It's possible, but I'm not sure yet. What really stood out to me at least, was the fact that large parts of the chapel were destroyed. The chapel was built from stone. It would take a lot time and effort to destroy it

" if it was bandit, they have taken what they could and made a quick escape.why would bandits want to burn down the chapel?" Grayson asked "That's what bothered me as well. Along with the fact that Lord Reiss was the only witness. No one confirmed his story. Then Lord Reiss rebuilt the chapel with his personal fortune almost immediately. What was his rush?"

Everyone remained silent " when you think about it, the story could only make sense if it involved a titan attack. It may turn out that I'm jumping to conclusions, but it's suspicious enough to merit investigation, and it's the only lead we have." Hanji finished

Meanwhile

Somewhere, Eren is surrounded by what seems to be blue crystals. His eyes were closed and in a dream, a girl is brushing her hair, she stops though and looks herself in the mirror before Eren slowly opens his eyes. Then, his eyes widen.He looks over at his hands, which were cuffed and force to be raised.

His mouth was still gagged and he was sitting on his knees. His shirt was no longer on as he was now exposing his chest.'What the hell?!' He thought, before he looked around real quick

While things were happening, Erwin had the Scouts getting prepared. "Before the night is over," Hanji explains to everyone, "reiss' land will be calling with our soldiers. And unfortunately, we can't Expect him to wait that long. We have to get there as soon as possible. Before eren ends up in someone's stomach. And whatever happens to violet."

Armin thought to himself 'A titan gains intelligence and the power to transform by eating a human being with that power. If that's actually true... How and when did eren first become a titan? And who did he have to eat again his powers? But most of all..Why is Latina involved.?'

As they continue forth, Eren struggles against the chains. 'Shit!' He lets out heavy breaths and looks up to see Latina chained to a crystal wall bellow him on his right, wearing some strange clothing that was a bit too revealing, which made him blush, and her hair down with weird trinkets and a veil, also gagged
