Dhalis Zachary, the premier of the three regiments, had called a meeting to discuss the future of the serum."looks like I'm late. Sorry," he said, walking into the room and taking a seat at the small desk. Erwin, Hanji, Pixis and Donna were surrounding the desk waiting for him.

Levi was a bit behind the rest,."have any luck were you able to establish what is in the container?" He asked " we have a vague idea, but unfortunately, with our technology, I'm afraid we can't dig much deeper. Like we've heard from eren, Reiner, bertholt and Historia, even Ymir, it seems to originate from some sort of human body fluid." Hanji explained, then lowed her head slightly

"However... it vaporises when exposed to air, making further analysis virtually impossible to perform. Weather made it must have had technology far superior to ours.I can't imagine how the rice family could've managed to do it." She finished, Zachary let out a hum in consideration of the news. "In that case, Rather than temper with it, we should put it to use for our current objective."

"But to whom do we entrust it?" Zachary asked, "To you, Erwin?"

"No..." Erwin murmured, clutching his missing arm. ". With my wound, I would be a poor choice...the syringe, it belongs in the hands of one of our elite. Someone with the best odds of survival." He then turned to levi " levi, will you accept it?" Levi was silent before speaking. "If it's an order, just say so. Why even bother asking?" Erwin turned his head

"When we need to use this, there may not be time to plan.. Will be relying on you to make a decision swiftly, and with a little deliberation. Judging when to use it, and on whom, will be your responsibility." He then turned back to him. " will you accept it?"

"If this dream of yours comes true, what will you do then?" Levi asked

" I don't know, and I won't. Until it happens."

"I see. Alright. I'll do it," Levi said, With the snap of the silver box's case being closed

"Hmmm," Zachary continued, " now then, I'd like to discuss that work of mine. As you know, I'm hoping to unveil it soon. Have you given it any thought?"Pixis sighed, "You mean you still haven't given up on that? If the public where to see such a repulsive display, whatever trust they have in the military would evaporate." Donna wasn't paying attention to the conversation, in fact she was thinking about herself and her darling

Time skip

It was a meeting between the leaders of the Survey Corps. "You spoke to Shadis, and based on what you he told you, Grisha Jaeger and victor Romanoff... are humans who came from outside the walls," Erwin said.The sun was beginning to set behind the tall blonde man "Yes," said Hanji, "and like the others, Annie, Reiner and Bertholdt, it appeares grisha also had the Power of the Titans. As they were forced to eliminate us, He was supportive of humanity within the walls."

"If he was really that supportive of the scouts and what we do, maybe he coulda thrown a bit more information on our way," one of the Section Commanders grumbled. " I wonder" hanji began " from the moment he entered the walls, he was searching for the royal family. I have a burden to shoulder alone. If you ask me, that's not something you do unless you have an iron will an incredible resolve.. And let's not forget, that's a man later wanted to show his young son, eager to join the scout, something important. Staring death in the face, he said the truth of it all was there, in the cellar. What's down there? What was he hiding?"Erwin looked down at the table.

"Things which mustn't be said. No... Things Which can't be spoken. Things he couldn't say, even if he wanted to. That which the first reiss king white from our consciousness. memories of our world. At least that's my hope... But speculating more one accomplish anything. "He then looked up "the final preparations are now complete. The operation to retake one Mario begins in two days. I don't know what's in that seller? Let's go see for ourselves... "He had a small grin on his face "we're scouts. That's what we do."

The others smiled as Erwin finished his small speech."i'll leave it to you to alert your squads," he finished."Right. Will keep it quiet for now, though." one man sighed.The cacophony of chairs scraping against wood appeared as they stood." Do you know what I think, our troops deserve some meat on a day like this." Donna smiled,

" good idea." Dirk said " got a show those kids the adults can be counted on. What about commandant Shadis keeping secrets from us?" One commander asked " Forget it. We don't have time to deal with that now."

"You must be so disappointed. You used to adore him!" Marlene smirked " shut up!" Hanji growled, Levi however was quickly closing the door behind them. Outside Donna and hanji gave eachother a weird look before shrugging and continuing on their way

Before she went to sleep

Donna was already lying in bed, waiting for her lover while pondering about the mission, how desperate she was to protect
him, she then heard the door click open then shut, rustling of clothing before a presence joined her in the bed, and an arm wrap around her " hey" she heard her fiancée say " hey, you alright?" She asked " I'm fine, just thinking about the mission" she frowned at what she heard " you don't plan on dying, do you?" She asked " Of course not, I asked you to marry me didn't I?" He reminded, which she chuckled " you did...just..." he raised an eyebrow " don't die out there, otherwise you proposing to me was nothing but a waste..." he just chuckled, kissing her forehead, then pulling her close while she hugged him " I won't, I promise" Erwin said, she smiled and Buried her head in his chest

Night time

All the scouts were gathered in the dinning hall, celebrating the last night before the retake of wall Maria "This may be a special night, but we don't need the public knowing our plans. So behave like the disciplined soldiers you are. " everyone stared silently in shock at what was on their tables

"What? No way. Is that..? It is. It's meat!" Connie says in shock, Sasha placing both her hands on her head "Am I dreaming?" Sasha asked" All right. Here's to the retaking of wall Maria. A toast!" Just as he finished his speech, everyone burst into cheer and started going at the meat "huh? Wait!" Harold exclaimed, but was sadly ignored

"Calm down! Everyone'll get some, okay?" One guy exclaimed "Hey! A piece that big count is too!" A guy on his table yelled "Your crazy! Well, I'm worth to have you on the battlefield, so I think I should get your portion!" Followed by another  "Like hell!" The same guy growled

At the main characters table

sasha was immediately trying to wolf down the meat, Connie was behind her with hers arms around her head in a head lock but even that wasn't effecting her "What the hell do you think you're doing, potato girl?! No way are we gonna let you pull this shit!" Jean growled. "Drop the meat, Sasha" Connie advised with tears "Come on, I really don't wanna have to kill you." Jean ripped it from her mouth, making her yell "You can't eat the whole thing alone, you pig!" Just then her mouth launched onto his hand "Your eating me! My hand my hand!" He screamed "Sasha! That meat is jean! Don't eat our friends, okay?!" Connie exclaimed

" im so glad  we're not on that table" Grayson chuckled nervously as he Zane, lizzy, Marco, Reiner and bertholt munched on their meat " yeah I agree" Reiner said while bertholt nodded in agreement

"What, does the scout regiment never get any meat? Really?" Marlo asked "That's just sad..." just the he grunted when Sasha punched him in the nose, causing it to bleed "Connie, would you just knock her out already?" Mikasa said, Sasha in crazy form ended up punching Latina in the Breast which her eyes widened and covered her chest while moving and hiding behind mikasa blushing embarrassed "I'm trying! It's like her mind shutdown but shes still moving somehow!" Connie cried

Meanwhile at the commanders table

"Hey, I think we've got casualties." Dirk mumbled while the group ate their share "Whose brilliant idea was it to serve me, again?" Hanji reminded the woman next to her " sorry..." she mumbled slightly not caring, I mean how could she it was a celebration, it was also normal to her "Well, I guess now we know what happens when we blow the whole food budget for two months on one night of celebrating." Harold said

Eren, Latina and Connie finally tied Sasha up to a beam, she had also fallen asleep in the process which was a big relief for them "That should do it" eren said finalising the knot "She finally wore herself out." Connie sighs, then wipes the tears. "Jeez, can you believe this freak? It's crazy to think that she was offered to show meet with everybody." He said which confused the other two "What? She did?" Eren asked

"Yeah, four months ago, when we were servicing the cannons."

Flashback

Sasha walked over, opening her jacket revealing the meat "I told you just help myself to the offices pantry. It'll be fine." She was then kneeled down in front of a crate and opened it to hide the meat "Just look at it this way.  on the wall take back all the room we need for livestock."

The collasal titan appeared and kicked a hole through the walls

"They're gonna get in... They're gonna get in.... They're gonna get in!!" Connie screamed, as eren sliced he realised the was nothing there 'He's gone!' Bellow without realising was bertholt, but he was being controlled by one of the warriors, and had no idea what he was doing, Albert  was hiding in one of the bushes watching

Flashback end

"Hey!" He finally snapped out of it and saw Latina and Connie still there "You okay?" She asked "Yeah." He said, looking back down "It's hard to believe that it's only been four months." He says sadly "Yeah, it's kind of crazy. But think, that's all it took for us to make Levi squad. How's that for climbin the ranks?" Connie smirked, which seemed to lighten erens spirit "It's all because you're a genius." He says rubbing connies head "Damn straight I am!" Connie smirks slightly punching eren side jokingly, violet just shakes her head in amusement "Come on. Let's eat before it gets cold." She laughs

Sasha Just happens to wake up and muffing through her gag

Back to the table

"Don't you get it? You've got no experience. That's why you're in the rear garden, rookie." Jean says "I may be less knowledgeable than the rest of you, but isn't a Vanguard the best place to learn how the enemy moves?" Marlo asked "What's this? Do you think you can lecture a veteran about self sacrifice?" Jean questioned narrowing his eyes "Isn't that what makes us effective? Being willing to put ourselves in harms way?" Marlo said, jean sighs

"Listen, everyone starts out as a recruit, okay? If we throw recruits into battle Like cannon fodder, Then they'll all be too dead to learn. And that's why, for now, it's your job to watch and learn from the rear. So you can make it back in one piece. The one to really suck are the suicidal maniac's who think the only way to fight is to charge and blind, right?" Eren was drinking from his mug but finally processed what he said

"are you talking about somebody in particular?" He asked glaring at jean, both jeans and armins lips part surpsied, but jean just grinned "Yeah, I'm looking right at him. suicidal maniac" it then disappeared when eren smirked "You see, the funny thing is that I recently discovered that I'm actually a pretty normal person . So he, if that's how you really see me Maybe you're just a coward jean. Right?" The two silently glared at each other, armin had to duck his head when the two suddenly stood up holding each other by the collar

"You think your so cool, don't you, you piece of shit?" Jean yelled "That's a pretty shaggy mane your growing their horse face!" Eren yelled back, which the yelling did capture the attention of the people in the room "What with those two?" One soldier asked

"Try not to kill each" Connie muttered with some piece of meat in his mouth "You jerk!" Jean smacked erens hand off him "Your gonna rip my shirt!" He yelled back "What the hell are those two doing?" Marlo asked, eren delivered a hard blow to jeans stomach, and I mean a painful one "You bastard!" Eren groaned when he received a punch to the gut, which repeated back and forth

"Show em what you've got!" One soldier cheered "He's losing ground!" another yelled, From the commanders table they noticed the fight "It looks like we've got a fight." One said "I Told the idiots to behave." Harold sighed

" christ...what is wrong with those two" Grayson muttered slightly amused, they all looked to Zane who had his head laying on the table shaking " Zane, are you okay?" Marco Asked, he lifted his head and they saw tears, but he was holding in laughter " oh my God are you crying?!" Grayson laughed

" leave me alone! I can't help it! this is the best I've seen all week!" He cried with laughter, the others just laughed at him, rather than over patting his back

Back to the fight, both boys were panting slightly exhausted "Seriously. If you didn't have Titan powers, you'd be dead 10 times over. Although, I guess mikasa would've swopped in every time to save your worthless ass. Or even Latina." That's when erens eyes widened "You're so eager to die? Fine then I'll kill you before you can even get with her!" Jean growled punching eren once again in the gut "Huh?!" She exclaimed turning bright red,
Mikasa just patted her back, there was some very unhappy looks been given to the two

"Yeah? Okay." Eren groaned, just came back with a punch into jeans gut "But I'd like to see you try and take her from me! So give me your best shot!" He yelled, Latina just lay her head on the table in embarrassment "You ought to start showing your mum some small respect, Jean boy!" Immediately receiving another punch to the stomach "Would you forget that!" Jean yelled "Never!" Eren groaned

While everyone else we're cheering, armin turned to mikasa who was still patting Latina's back "Should We let them keep going?" He asked, which she nodded while eren continued yelling at jean "Stupid horse face!" Eren yelled, mikasa then said "I think it's fine" The two started becoming ever tired, but in the background mikasa and armin were smiling 'Why? Why isn't anybody stopping us?' Eren thought while the two continued throwing weak punches 'How long is this going to go on?' jean wondered 'shit..I think I'm going to baff up that meat..'

"hey" Just then levi appeared, kicking eren first, then jean in the gut along, both lay on the ground groaning, Jean clenching his stomach "That's enough celebrating...go to bed..."Jean gagged for a moment before throwing up. "And clean that up..." Levi continued. "Yes sir!" everyone said as they all dispersed.

Latina heard muffled wailing sounds and noticed Sasha has awoken and began fighting through the ropes. Feeling pitiful for her, she quickly ran up to her and ungagged her, also untied the ropes, she immediately jumped hugged her. "Thank you, Latina ! Thank you, thank you! You truly are a goddess!"

" thanks Sasha" she chuckled

Meanwhile

Armin helped Eren outside while mikasa walked, one arm draped over his shoulder. They arrived outside and sat down on the steps. Eren grunted in pain. "I can't believe I'm saying this but...shouldn't you guys watch out for me more?" he asked as he was set him down gently. "Considering how quickly you heal, I wasn't that worried about it." Armin smiled "Some friends you are..." he mumbled while mikasa sat down "Look, you started it, so don't complain," Mikasa said. "Plus, it's good to see you feisty again." Armin chimed in, eeen turn his head down the stairs "I'm glad we met with the commandant. I think it helped. I don't know about being feisty, but I'll do what I have to do. And honestly, I feel better. I just keep thinking about all the stuff I could've change. Spend so much time pitying myself, Wondering why I can be strong like mikasa, Levi or Latina." He turned to mikasa who looked surprised"I was jealous." He turned his head back down the stairs "But even though you guys are strong, you can't do all that much alone. None of us can." He smiled "That's why we have to find our own roles. when we join together, that's when we become truly powerful." He then turned to armin "Everyone's got their own strengths, and its cause of times like this."

"Yeah. I think you're right." Armin said

they all stopped talking and looked to see a man that looked similar to Hannes talking with a fellow scout, they watched as he disappeared around a corner. "Once we retake back Wall Maria and defeat every last one of our enemies. Can we go back...to how things used to be?" Mikasa asked lowering her head

" Somethings will be the same, but somethings have changed forever. And will make them pay for that." Eren said

"Yeah"

"There's more out there, you know," Armin spoke. "The sea..."That has always been Armin's dream to see the sea. "Remember? A body of water so big that merchants would waste their whole lives and still wouldn't get the salt out. There's so much beyond the walls. Not just titans." The other two look his way. "Water that goes in the fire, fields of ice, Giant rocks that take days to climb." He smiled at the thoughts "I join the scouts so I could see all those things someday."

"Yeah. You sure did. I remember." Armin gave a look at eren, before standing up "Alright then! Let's start by finding the sea! I can tell you still don't think it's real, Eren. But you'll see! It does exist!"Eren chuckled. "Heh. Okay fine. I guess we'll have to check it out then"

"That's not good enough. You have to promise!"

"Oh great...here we go again," Mikasa mumbled while the two talked"What's going on here?" The group turned to see drake, Zane and Grayson "Hey guys? Where's Latina?" Armin asked "She's dropping in on someone before we leave" drake says "Really who?" Eren asked raising an eyebrow "Same person she's been doing since she's been stuck crystallised, annie of course" his eyes widened "She said she might be close to setting her free" his breath hitched

"Really?!" Armin exclaimed in surprise "We just have to wait and see, anyway what's going on here" Grayson asked "Eren still doesn't believe the sea exist's" armin stated, which Grayson raised an eyebrow

"Dude seriously? Even I believe it's real" he said "See! Grayson gets it!" Armin smiled "Yeah. But he does stupid things all the time" eren says smirking "Hey! You wanna say that again?!" Grayson caught him in a head lock

" hey! Get off!" eren yelled

"Oi! Idiots! Calm down!" Zane joined in the wrestle to calm him down " Grayson for god sake! Let him go!" Drake rushed to help while mikasa just watched in amusement with armin

Meanwhile

Latina walked down the stairs underground to where annie was being kept, soon she was standing right in front of her crystallised self " hey annie...Sorry I've been gone so long, things have been intense" she smiled, she removed the stone from her heart, raising it to Annie's crystal " well...let's try this one shall we?..."

Next day

It was sunset, all the scouts were ontop of the wall moving horses and supplies over it preparing for the retake "Just before sunset. It's finally time." Eren muttered, standing with, mikasa armin, drake, and Latina, the elites had gotten their sendoff from Zachary, who gave them the salute, then headed up to the top of the wall, everyone was lined up as, while levi, hanji and Grayson were being taken up in a left they heard a familiar voice and saw a familiar face in the crowd "Hey! Hanji! Grayson! Good luck!" He shouted

"Flegel?" Hanji questioned, he's shouts we're followed by others citizens

"Go out there and take back all Maria for us! The future of mankind is up to you!

"Captain Levi! Good luck out there! Thanks for saving our city!"

"you guys come back in one piece, alright?!"

"Yeah! But get us back our land, too!"

the entire city cheered for the scouts "Someone's got a big mouth" Levi said looking at the crowd and Hanji stared down "Yeah well that celebration did get a little rowdy" then Harold turned to her "Actually we ordered all that meat from the Reeves company so" "Flegel" was all Dirk said

"YEAH! YOU CAN COUNT ON US!!!" Jean, Sasha, Zane, lizzy, Reiner and Connie yelled, Klaus turned around "I wonder how long it's been since the scouts got a send off like this" "I don't know I'm not sure if we ever have" Dirk answered him before Erwin jumped into the conversation "Well as far as I'm aware at least this is a first" Erwin put your arms out in unison let out war cries as the people joined in, the others stare shock at him while Donna covered her mouth chuckling, he then took out his sword and pointed it over the wall "The operation to take wall Maria begins now!" everyone gave a war yell as the lifts lowered them and their horses to the other side of the wall "SCOUTS MOVE OOOOUUUUUT!!!" the entire regiment started cheering as the rode to the path to wall Maria

Meanwhile at the wall

Two figures were standing on the wall, waiting for the scouts to arrive, waiting for one in particular
