Eren and mikasa's breath hitches and their pupils dilate and their eyes widen when they witness the Smiling Titan walking towards them, eager to eat them both.

Meanwhile, more Titans get thrown around as Erwin looks behind him to see a Titan get up and chase after him.

Ymir stops her running and looks over, glaring before charging herself over. 'Damn you, commander Erwin! I had this all planned out!Why did you have to go and screw it up?!' Erwin looks over to see Ymir lunge at the Titan behind him, making him fall off his horse and rolls on the ground. "Ymir!" Historia screams before turning her head over to Connie. "Connie, over there!"

"I see!"

" wait for me!" Latina yelled flying after them

Erwin pulls himself up the ground as a soldier runs over to him, calling him. "Commander!" He holds his bleeding amputated arm and replies. "I am not your object. Don't waste time on someone who's replaceable. Retrieve eren, bertholt, Reiner and Ymir and go!"He only looks up to find the soldier's head inside the Titan's mouth, making Erwin look down again.

the Smiling Titan makes it's way over to them closer than before. Eren stares at it with fright until mikasa crawls over and pushes Eren down to protect him. "Get down!" Just as the Smiling Titan goes to grab them, Hannes makes his way over in the nick of time."are you insane!" Eren yells as Hannes slices off the Smiling Titan's thumb.

Eren gasps and Hannes chuckles and turns to look at him.

"Can you believe this luck? Ha! Crazy right?" He turns back around, facing the Titan before him. "Watch me! This is the least that I owe your mother! She'll finally have the vengeance she deserves!"Hannes then goes and flies towards the Titan, who swings an arm at him, but he dodges

"No! Hannes!"  Eren scream as Armin, Zane, and Jean hurry their way over to the three. "He needs back up!" Jean exclaims. As he looks over to his right though, two Titans come crashing in as they look over at the other armoured titan " crap! It's that guy again!" Zane curses

"Doesn't he care if eren gets eaten?!" Armin mutters just as Jean yells.

"Move it or lose it, asshole! I'm tired of your shit!"The three head over to attack while Ymir bits a Titan's head off. "What are you doing?!" Historia screams again, making Ymir looks over and ponder to herself

'Honestly? Hell if I know. Do I trust those guys, or gamble on the scouts and hope for the best?' She then rushes over to Historia, Latina, Connie, and Sasha's side as she still ponders to herself

'Suppose I actually manage to live through this. What goods another day on borrowed time? Why inside the walls will be a nightmare. That's a fact. This may be my only shot at bringing them over to the other side. I'm just one person. I can't protect them forever.' She thought of the two girls

Historia latches herself on Ymir and lands herself on her head. As violet flies over and lands on her head, Connie looks over and shouts at both. "Christa! Latina!" She shakes her head. "No. no more. Sorry, from now on I'm historia."

" and from now on, I'm Latina Romanoff! Erase that false name from your heads!" Latina states

Christa turns over to Ymir and speaks softly "Okay, so tell me. Have you already forgotten what she promised? Do you still think that going with them and bringing us with you would really have saved you, or was it a lie? Stupid question. Of course it was. Why, then? Why go to the trouble? was it us? You are trying to protect us again?"

"heads up!" Connie shrieked, making Historia look up at it. " listen to me. You need to take your own advice. You understand me? Stop putting yourself on the line" Latina yelled "You need to live your own life! Live it with us!" Historia yelled, inside Ymir's titan boy her eyes were widened

" never told you both this before, but However bad things get, as long as we're together...I'm not afraid!" Historia positions her blades and then zooms over to attack the Titan.

Connie and Sasha zoom, as well as Ymir, roars at it. Latina picked up the Little Rock her aunt had given her

Flashback

Before Latina floated off to see if everyone was okay, her aunt stopped her by grabbing her arm " wait" she turned and dug into her husbands bag, pulling out a very pretty rock " pretty..."

"This...is yours, If things had turned out differently and you were back home and your grandfather had died, the moment it was time for you to take your place as Queen, your father would've given you this" she stated, handing the rock over " what is it?" Latina  asked

" I don't know for certain, it's basically a family heirloom, it's the combined power of the sundrop and the moonstone, its would give us our power to protect others" her aunt said "What do I do with it?" Latina asked

" merge it with your heart, and you'll be able to control your free will to call out your Phoenix"

"The Giant bird?" Latina whispered in shock " that giant bird is called a Phoenix, with the stone you can control the ability to change at will" she explained

Flashback end

She growled, eyes turning blueish while again but this time with flames and placed it over her heart, it merged through her and into her heart, she looked at the incoming titans before jumping up and flinging her arms out like during the tower fall and letting out a roar, along with the Phoenix that emerged from inside of her, but this time, it Had electric sparks flying off it

" flaming bird is back!" Connie yelled with a smirk

While that happens, Hannes continues to fight the Smiling Titan as mikasa watches it all unfold, She pulled out her sword, but the sound of Eren's voice stopped her. " mikasa, stop! You're in no shape to-my hands! Help me!" She looks over at him. "What'll you do?"

" come on! I have to be the one who killed that thing" mikasa looked at the sword before using it to cut through his ropes Eren while Hannes was still slicing the Titan. "I ain't done with you yet!" He slices its foot, eren finally free from his ties.

He sits himself up, stating coldly. "This one belongs to me! Wait here." He runs towards it, making mikasa yell. "Eren! Don't go!" She calls, trying to stand up, but only falling over again due to her healing right leg. "We have to get you out of here!" She calls after to him, as he stops running and stares at the Titan with hatred.

"Not until I've settled the score. Stand back!" Eren brings his hand up to his mouth and bites it, blood dripping down his hand, but no reaction. Mikasa stares with worry as Eren looks at his hand in disbelief. "What?!"Another Titan gets thrown and Erwin quickly moves away from it. "Commander. The other Armored--" Erwin jerks his head behind him to see the Armored Titan beginning to walk over.

"It's coming this way!" Announces the soldier. The armoured titan throws a titan off his heads over to where Jean and Zane are as Armin gasps and calls out to them. "Jean! Zane!"They look behind them but turn back to see the Titan landed directly in front of them.

The two roll out of their horses, leaving Jean to having a nose bleed and Zane even more injured then before. "no!" Armin jumps out of his horse and rushes over to them. "Oh god. Stay with me, jean! Zane!" Zane tries to stand but falls back down as Armin goes and grabs Jean.

Hannes slices the other foot, but it wasn't too deep enough as the Titan swings at him, but Hannes dodges."No! Don't do this!"

One bite. Nothing
Two bites. Still nothing

Several more bites follow as Eren continues to struggle. "not now!" He bites again, this time, ripping the skin of his hand, making mikasa wince and calls out to him. "Eren, stop!" He continues to bite his hand while Armin holds Jean and swats his blade at the Titan and Zane bringing his blades out struggling to stay up

Reiner sprints his way over to help while soldiers kill every Titan that comes near the wounded Commander.

Some scream his name as they were sadly killed by the Titans.

Hannes goes to slice the same foot again, this time, it was deep, and the Smiling Titan falls to its knees. He smirks, but it soon fades when the Titan grabs Hannes. Eren and mikasa's eyes widen in fear and their mouths drop

Eren continues to repeatedly bite his hand to transform while Hannes slowly gets closer to the Titan's mouth. 'Come on! Transform goddamn it! Don't let this be for nothing!'

CRUNCH!

It was too late. Hannes' body was eaten in half as the two stare at their once beloved friend. His blood splatters the blue flowers as he gives one last look to them before closing his eyes.Eren falls on his knees and stares at the ground.

Tears began to well up in his eyes as mikasa continues to watch the murder of Hannes. Then, the sound of Eren's crying and laughter can be heard, making her look over at him slowly. "Eren..." She spoke softly while his crying and laughter still continue

."look at you!" He screams. "You haven't grown up one God dam bit! Your still as useless as you've ever been! Nothings changed!" He lets out an agonizing scream, making mikasa's eyes glossy with tears waiting to fall down her cheek. "I'm sorry, mother....I still can't do anything..." Eren muttered, "no matter how hard I try...I'm just a worthless little kid...."

"Eren.."He slowly sat himself up and looked over at mikasa, who shook her head and sent him a small smile, leaning a bit forward. "Stop. That isn't true." She still kept the smile on her face as Eren looked over at Armin, Mikasa, and Jean."hey..."He looked back at mikasa as she began to say. "Listen... I need to tell you something. You've always... been at my side. Thank you." Tears were slowly falling down her cheek as she continued her smile

"I've been meaning to tell you that... for fighting..for always standing by me... Thank you." continued to her say. While everyone else continued fighting "for pushing through...Showing me how to live with purpose... I'm grateful." She then tugged on her scarf "My scores...for always wrapping it around me...thank you." The two just stared at each other for a moment as tears had fully begun to drip down mikasa's cheek. Then, Eren stood up and took a few steps away from her

" mikasa." She gave him a confused look as he turned around and said."i will always wrap your scarf." He got in a stance as the Smiling Titan began to reach over to Eren. "Always and forever! That's a promise!" His hands regrew as Eren let's out a scream and punches the Titan's hand.

Suddenly, when he punched the Titan, it sent electricity to Nicholas, Bertolt, Reiner, and Ymir, Ryan and Albert making them shocked.

A Titan rises up as Eren lets out yet another scream and goes to throw a punch at it, making the Titan attack the Smiling Titan. Eren and mikasa's eyes widened.Then, every Titan in the area sprints their way over to the Smiling Titan and began to rip it apart and bit it to bits.

Everyone watches with shock plastered in their faces and while that's happening, Eren is running away, carrying mikasa on his back as she wraps her arms around his neck."Whyre they...? What's going on?....They're eating it!" She states

As Connie, Sasha, and Historia watch this, Connie goes and climbs on his horse. "Don't know, don't care. Let's go!" Historia nods. "Could be our only chance!"

"Right!"

' that's what this is about...' Ymir thought to herself. 'No wonder those guys were desperate to get their hands on him. Maybe there is a future inside the walls. I'll be damned .'As Eren continues to run and haul mikasa, Ryan charges over to the two, desperate to now get Eren. The two look over and gasp while Ryan's  thoughts were running wild.

'This is not good... Why'd Things have to be this way? Why did the coordinates have to fall to him!? Less we get it back, will be finished. No two ways about it. Of all the people in the world that power could've gone to,eren jaeger is far by worse!'

Eren stopped running and faced them."Get away from us!" Eren screamed The electricity gets sent into bith of them as Eren continues on with his screaming. "Rat bastards! I'll kill you where you stand!"Now, the Titan's new targets are Ryan and Albert, as they began sprinting head on over to them. Reiner stops his running and gasps as his main concern goes to Albert. "Son of a birch. Albert! I can't protect him like this!'

"What the hell is going on?" Eren uttered as the sound of Armin and Mikasa's voice calls out to them. "Eren!" They turn their heads over to see Armin holding a spare horse, Zane riding over and Jean laying on his back as Mikasa says. "Can you ride?"

"yeah!"

"Then Hurry!"

"This may be our only window!!" Erwin shouted, climbing on his horse and yelling again. "Soldiers, retreat!" Titans continue to attack the Armored Titan and Eren, mikasa and Armin glance over behind them. As they continue to escape

On the armoured titan, Not Reiner, the guy swings his blade and scream with fright, but the other as the armoured titan, manages to kill the titans on him while shielding, and the two run in the other direction of the scouts

Ymir looks over and sees Latina struggling to get away, and stop her running 'Latina!'

"what is it?!" Historia shouts, stopping her horse as Connie gallops past the two. "Hey, ugly! Get with the program! We were given an order!" Connie stops his horse as Ymir's Titan looks over at Historia.

Her hand goes to gently wrap around Historia's face, petting her hair with her finger as she goes and apologizes. " please wait for me....I'll bring her back..."

"Huh?"Ymir retrieves her arm and runs off. "Wait! Where are you doing?!" Historia shrieks, ready to go after her, but Connie rushes over to her and stops her from doing so. "Let her go!"

"But She'll be killed--" " she said she's bringing Latina back with her! Do you want her to be gone!"

" n-no!"Connie and Historia begin to gallop away as the girl tries to call out for Ymir.

Later on, the sun began to set as everyone was still making their way back to the walls.

" crap! Nick!" Clara yells, he stops killing titans and turned to his wife " Latina's in trouble! And her friend!" She points out, he roars and rushes, like an angry monkey, in their direction

Ymir pulls on titan off Latina's phoenix's back, when another titan jumps her and bites her arm, just then Nicholas jumps at the titan and bites it's nape

further up .Armin glances around at the damage around him. Back towards the fight, which isn't seen after they trees cover it, he then looks over at Eren and mikasa as the girl had tears threatening to fall from her eyes, hugging Eren as he stared up at the sky with sadness.

Then, the one memory of when they were younger flashes in his eyes. Eren was trying to land a punch at Hannes while he was being pushed away by the head.

Armin was laughing as Mikasa looked over at Eren, who continued his struggles as Hannes let out a laugh.

Meanwhile after the fight

Latina, Ymir, Clara and Nicholas lay on a tall tree branch, gasping and pant "t-thanks. F. For coming back" Latina panted, still clenching her side, the amount of power she used really took a lot out of her, one of her ribs did get fractured but it was worth it to her

"Hey you would have done the same for me, or anyone else" Ymir grins "Yeah. I know" Latina grins back weakly

"Glad you finally controlling it well hon, You two make it back to the walls" nickolas says sitting up " What about you two?" Ymir asked raising an eyebrow

"There is still a revolution going on back home...and....Latina...Clara told me about you know who..." she was confused until she finally understood

" oh...yeah... i'm sorry...." she said sadly " Don't worry about it kid. I should've been here faster. But hey, look at the bright side" he said placing an hand on his nieces shoulders "I still got to meet my nieces, And that hey. That feels great" he said, lifting her spirits

" We'll go back and continue the revolution back home. And hey. when you guys managed to fix that wall Ryan and Albert busted through, Meet up with us and will discuss any plans we come up with" he dug in his pocket, revealing a small map "This Map will lead you to where our base is back home. Can't wait to see you there. And I don't think your cousins will be able to wait to longer either" she gasped happily "There are more Romanoffs" her eyes sparkled

" A lot of em" he kissed her forehead "See you soon. And tell your sister too" he says, Clara walks over and gives her niece a hug while Ymir watches happy from the back ground

" you and your friends take care okay" Clara says to Ymir surprising her " y-yeah sure" she said, Clara whistles and to both girls surprise, it was Latinas horse Gale " Gale! Your alive!" She squealed "That horse has to be lucky, how the heck does she survive so many attacks" Clara grinned

" Hey Gail is a miracle horse" Latina says then laughs at the end "She survived the expedition attack, the tower attack, and now this, how long will the list go" Ymir asked smirking " probably higher" Latina laughs

To climb onto the horse as Nicholas turn into a titan, Claire jumping on its back, the two waved at the two girls before taking off, back home to their base, and to continue to lead the revolution, violets horse neighs, before running back in the direction of the walls

" honestly I thought you were going to go with those pricks for a second" Latina said as they rode through titan country

"to be honest I thought I would too, but when I found out what was going to happen to you from your aunt, like hell I was going to let Let them force you, but well...I had cut those two some slack, if they hadn't come to bust up the wall, who knows when my nightmare would've ended? I owed quite a debt to Reiner and bertholt , at least i gave back to what I took from those two, look at the bright side at least the others know the shit Reiner and bertholt have been through, At least now people know" Latina looked down sadly, then back up at the night sky

"I'm so sorry Ymir, Maybe if my family were still in control, No one will be suffering like this..."

"No worries. Being a goddess had its perks while it lasted" Ymir shakes her head, smiling as she reaches her hand at the stars above.

" by the way, what were they going to do to me once they got hold of me?" Latina asked, She still didn't know what they wanted with her, they had the families power over the land, so what would they need her for? that question repeated in her head

"Let's just say it's better if you don't know, that's what your aunt said" was all Ymir finished with

Back in trost

It's now the next day. Erwin rests on a bed, sitting up with Levi, Donna and Pixis next to him. A knock his heard, and the three look up. "Hanji." Levi declared. "Come in." Hanji opens the door with Connie behind her as she goes to apologize. "Pardon the interruption, Erwin."She salutes when she sees Pixis. "Commander pixis.  glad we caught you." Connie steps in the room and stands next to Hanji with wide-eyes, a sweat rolling as Hanji says. "Um, this is...state your name..." She turns to him as Connie salutes and introduces himself. "Sir! Connie springer, sir! 104th cadet corps!"

"Connie here is originally from ragako," Hanji informed, making Pixis question. "Ah, yes. Where the invasion seem to have begun, correct?" Hanji nods. "Yes, Sir. In fact, he is corroborated hey valuable piece of evidence in that regard. I think your find his story supports our hypothesis. Soldier, if you would"

She looks over at Connie again, who was holding the portrait of his parents behind his back

Somewhere off, Eren, , Mikasa, Armin, Zane, Marco and Jean are together. There was a brief silence before Eren speaks. "I allowed myself...Reiner...bertholt and Ymir to be captured.It's my fault because of me the scouts lost over half of the veteran contingents. All in a single rescue attempt.... And worst of all... We lost Latina and Ymir  "mikasa looks down in sadness as Armin glances at her before looking back at Eren.

"Still, though. There were no casualties on the way back. The Titans completely ignored us. They were to fix it on the other armoured titan and his partner. Jean and I, We mulled it over between us once we got back."He took a few steps toward Eren, getting close to his face as he said. " hear me out. Suppose the acted that way... Because of you?" Eren roll's a sweat, his turquoise eyes widen as Jean goes to add-in.

"Just a thought, of course." He shoots his head over to him. "But as far as an exclamation, it's about as good as we've got we've got."The four stare at Jean with a bit of sweat on their faces as he says. "I'm not saying I envy the position you're in. Maybe all those people really did die for nothing. That all depends on you depends on you. If you're really worth the sacrifice, you'd better prove it. There is no time for second-guessing."Eren lifts up his right hand and stares at it, furrowed brows as he states.

"You're right. I have to be decisive" He's clenching his hand into a fist, " if this is really-If I can control Titans I have to pluck up with Mario. Then make those guys answer for what they've done. People died for me. I have to earn what they gave"

" and dude come on. Do you really think what we saw back that was enough to kill Latina." Zane reminded "She had ymir, her uncle and her aunt there too, you know. they could probably be on their way back right now as we speak" Marco said " y-you know what. Your right! This is Latina we're talking about, she's face worse than that, bet she's coming back with Ymir, her uncle and aunt right now!" Jean says, forcing a smile, or atleast trying too " I really hope you're right" armin says hopefully " me too" eren says while mikasa nods,

"Come again? You're saying the Titans responsible for this... were the citizens of Ragako?" Pixis questions Connie as Erwin goes to speak up. " I see. So, in actuality, Titans are human beings" This makes Levi's eyes slightly widen while Hanji states. "Well, we don't have proof yet."

"Great. Perfect. I've spent all this time. All this energy. And the things I've been covering through like carrying.. Were people" Levi speaks lowly as Hanji reminds him again. " look, we don't know for a certainty."After that, Connie stands outside, staring at his parent's portrait, tears threatening to fall down his cheek, but he stops himself, looks up, and begins to walk away with Hanji as Levi and donna stare at them through the window. Levi turns back around calls out to Erwin. "Now what?."He stops himself when he sees him forming a smile.

He goes back to ask. "Um.excuse me" Erwin's smile stop, "what's with that smile?" He looks over at Levi and back at his lap as he shook his head. "Oh, it's nothing." Levi stares at him confusedly as Erwin continues. "just... Seems to me we've taken one more step toward the truth."

"Wow. one whole step, huh?" Levi repeated Erwin's words, "at this pace will run out of people before we actually reach it.A good rate of return." Donna says " everything comes at a price." Erwin barked. "One day, Will get close enough to break through... The wall barring us from the truth...will tumble." As soon as he said what he said, he turned to levi " levi. Would you mind giving us a moment" he says, the guy raises an eyebrow, before getting the hint and leaving the room

" Donna, I'm sorry what happened out there" he said, for real?! " you scared the hell out of me...As soon as I saw that titan take your arm, I was going to lose it..." she sobbed, he wrapped his left arm around her bringing her close " I know....and I'm sorry..." he muttered "You're the first person to ever excepted me in this cruel world...My whole reason of joining the scouts is because of you... Without you I'm lost... i swear to God don't ever pull something like that again...and I'll break one of your legs...That way you'll be missing an arm and a leg"she threatens, which makes him chuckle " I won't...but will you allow me to do what I've been trying to do for some time now?" He asked

"If it involves you getting hurt, hell no" she says " it doesn't. don't worry" he chuckled "Then go for it " she smiles sitting up, he then reaches into his jacket, which was hung in the bedside banister, and pulled out a small box, with out her seeing it (i've been waiting for this scene for so long, I've been so excited🤩) " Donna blitz, ever since we met, you were the first one to take my breath way, your kindness, your eyes, your feisty attitude" she raised an eyebrow at him with a smile " and now that we're finally alone I can finally ask you" he pulled the small box into view, making her gasp and cover her mouth with both hands, she knew what he was doing

" I cant live with out you Donna, quite literally" she tried so hard not to laugh at what he said but she was still shocked about the box " so Donna...." he lifted the lid, revealing a ring

....Will you marry me?" She just smiled crying and said " oh my god! Yes!" He slipped the ring on her finger, then leaned in and kissed her, just then there was a knock the door and heard a cadet exclaim from outside" commanders! Your not gonna believe this! But two of the cadets that didn't return with us! It's a miracle!" The two just looked at each other in confusion

I've never done a proposal scene yet, I'm so glad I got to now!

Meanwhile back outside

With the rest of the guys horses, Latina was standing with Ymir patting her horse after violet got treated from her wound " good girl Gale, thanks for coming back for us" Ymir smiled " how do you the others are gonna react when they see us?" Latina asked

" shocked as hell, but I did promise historia I'd bring you back with me" Ymir said " true. But still, won't they be mad?" The girl said worried

"You are swarmed by titans, And with the stuff you've been through, they'd be positive you'd come back, I think the only thing I'll be mad at you for is for getting hurt"

" Latina! Ymir!" The two turned to the familiar voice of a blond, historia, running in their direction " your back!" She cried launching, Into the two " woah! Easy! I don't wanna fall!" Latina exclaimed, while Ymir laughed

" I'm so glad...don't scare me like that again" historia says, both girls looked at each other, smiled, then looked down at her " we won't" Ymir said

" I knew it!" They heard another familiar voice, the saw everyone, Levi and hanji walked, rushing over to the two " stop scarring us!" Sasha wailed latching onto them " hands off potato girl!" Ymir yelled in anger

" Ymir just deal with it, she's not gonna back down" Latina laughed, lizzy runs over and joins the hug

" we never doubt you'd return,  not even a little bit" jean smirked while haji was rustling the girls hair

" No you didn't, Zane had to remind you, since you were so worried she'd never come back" Grayson smirked "Grayson I'm at a point of smacking you, shut up" jean glared while the others laughed

" welcome back" Marco said walking over and giving violet a hug "We knew you were too damn stubborn to have died," Zane whispers with a faint smile."That's because you guys know me best," Latina chuckle quietly " I'm serious though, glad your back" jean says hugging her " me too" she said

"Hey, horseface, let us see her as well!" Eren demands, Latina deadpan while Jean's eye twitches."It's partially your fault that she's in this situation!," Jean growls, and he lets go of her and starts butting heads with Eren.

Latina deadpanned while Marco and Zane tried to step in and try to break up the argument. "It's good to be back," she chuckle before looking over as Armin and Mikasa join me.  "How are you doing?" Armin asks with worry, and she smile

  "I'm okay right now. I'm just happy to be safe and with everyone again."  Mikasa stays silent before moving and hugging her.

Her eyes widen a fraction, but Latina hug her back. "I don't want to lose any more people I care for," she admits quietly

  "I can't promise anything, Mikasa, but I'll do my very best to stay alive," she respond before we let each other go.

She nods curtly, and violet turned to Armin who looks at me sadly.

She cock her head to the side and rest a hand on his shoulder. "What's wrong, Armin?"  "I just feel horrible that you were left behind. We should've helped you," he whispers, his eyes starting to water.  "Don't feel bad, Armin. I'm not upset," she reassure him, hugging him

"Besides I wasn't alone, I had Ymir there with my aunt and uncle ."  Armin frowns as she let him go. "I'm just happy to see you again, speaking of them, where are they?," he asked "It's alright their okay, Ill explained that part later. Now I'm going to go see Eren before him and Jean end up in a fight," she chuckle, winking at Armin which makes him blush, she walk over to eren

. "All right, Eren, you have my full attention now."He stops arguing with Jean and turns to her immediately, crushing her in a hug, which she hissed because of the rib fracture. "I'm sorry, Latina. I..." Eren trails off with a small blush

" how bad are you hurt." He asked " it's okay it's just a fractured rib, it's already healing" she reassured
