"That titan is an abnormal" Evelyn explains as the other soldiers who aren't used to Erwin's plans start to question his orders.

"What the hell does that even mean?" one of the men asks as he looks over at her.

"The target titan is strangely attracted to high concentrations of people" Evelyn says as she looks at the man, "hence, abnormal. It means the fellow will turn a blind eye to a small village, ignoring it in favour of reaching this fortified city. If right now, you were to evacuate the citizens within Wall Sina, it would be drawn towards them, destroying Wall Sina in its path. In the end, it would reach Mitras, with the greatest density of people and deliver a devastating blow to humanity. On our way back, we attempted to use Eren's titan power to control the titan, but it was to no avail".

"If we are to stop that titan, we must do so outside the walls of Orvud District" Erwin says as he looks at the man, "for that to happen, we must have the citizens act as bait. However, this does not change the fact that our first duty as soldiers is to protect the citizens. Supposing we're unable to halt the target, we'll take measures so that not a single citizen is killed. We'll announce an emergency evacuation drill for all citizens in Orvud District, so that if needed, the citizens will be ready to evacuate at once".

"It seems there's no other choice" the man says as he looks at Erwin.

"The body of our target is the largest we're ever seen" Erwin says calmly, "as such, it presents an easy target. Wall-mounted canons should prove highly efficient, but if that's not enough to bring it down, the Scout Regiment will throw everything we have at it, that includes Eren, with his titan powers, and Evelyn, humanity's immortal samurai".

--- the next morning ---

The evacuation plan starts at the Garrison regiment sits atop the wall, continuously firing cannons at Rod who continues to crawl closer to the wall.

"Evelyn, are you sure you're okay to do this? You'll be going in without any ODM gear" Levi asks as he kneels down next to Evelyn who ties a bunch of ammunition to her body.

"Levi, all I need to do is to cut the inside of his neck with an oil slicked dagger, take the barrels down to his stomach and shoot the bastard. I can do this. It's not the first time I've been inside a titan's stomach" Evelyn says as she looks at him, "I know you're worried about me but I can do this. We don't know how effective having Sasha shoot the barrels at his neck will be. We need to damage him internally as much as we can first. No other soldier can do this. It has to be me. It will take a while, and you'll think I'm dead, but if this is going to work, I need to make sure that everything is lined up perfectly and that I have an escape route set so I don't kill myself in the process".

"Captain Evelyn, the barrels are done" Conny says as he runs over.

"Good work, Conny" Evelyn says as she stands up.

"If you die, I'll kill you" Levi says as he grabs Evelyn's wrist.

"I'll drag you down to hell with me if you kill me" Evelyn says as she kisses his cheek.

Rod begins to come even closer to the wall as the Garrison squad on the ground fires their cannons as well.

"The ground cannons seem even less effective" Erwin says as they all watch.

"Of course they are" Levi says as he and Evelyn come over, "the wall cannons barely even hit the nape, despite the more beneficial angle. What's the problem?".

"It's a mishmash of soldiers" Evelyn says as she stands next to Erwin, "cannons they scraped together. Superficial leadership. To top it off, this is a Northern region. Unlike troops on the front lines, they have no battle experience. However, this is the best we're going to get, and that's a fact".

"Yeah, that much is painfully obvious" Levi says as he stands next to her, "yet again, Erwin, your strategy for the Scouts boils down to another gamble. Just like everything else you conjure up".

"Boys, boys, now's not the time to hit each other with your handbags" Evelyn says as she looks at the two of them.

"Erwin! I brought goodies!" Hange yells as they run over, "some more gunpower, nets and ropes. We'll still have to attach it to the other stuff ourselves, though. Is the artillery doing any damage?".

"Slightly more than a pissing insect" Levi says as he looks at Hange.

"Then we're really planning on using this?" Hange asks they look at Evelyn.

"Levi, Jean, Sasha, Conny" Erwin says as he looks at the four of them, "take care of that side".

"I've got this Levi, I promise" Evelyn says as she hugs Levi before he runs off.

"How should we do this? Let's see" Hange says as they overlook the whole operation to make sure all of the ammunition can make it down with Evelyn, "try to imagine we're wrapping up a nice gift for someone special. Once we've done that, we'll tie it to that second ammunition load over there".

"I believe you heard from Levi, Historia" Erwin says as he walks over to Historia, "supposing we live through this, we'll have you become the Queen ruling the world within these walls. Naturally, having you on the frontline has it's problems".

"I doubt it will work" Historia says as she looks at Erwin, "you think the people so naïve that they'll bow to a ruler in name only?".

"What is it that you're thinking?" Erwin asks as Historia stands up.

Historia... just look how strong she's become. For the longest time, I thought she was the weak one. I had it wrong. The weak one is me. Somewhere along the line, I thought myself special. Which is why, when other soldiers died for my sake, I accepted it like it was natural. The same goes for my titan powers. I hated titans more than anything, but when I became one, I thought nothing of it. I wanted to believe that strength was all mine. That's exactly how a weakling thinks. What's the next step? So what if I'm able to plug the wall? Is that enough to save humanity? I'm not special, I'm nobody. But, it's all of humanity that got the short end of the stick being stuck with me as their trump card.

Eren says as he walks to the edge of the wall and looks over. He spots some children down below playing with each other.

"Hey, Armin. The kids in this city remind me of us on that day" Eren says as Armin comes over.

"Yeah. Nobody thinks today is the day a titan bigger than the wall attacks" Armin says as he looks at Eren, "they might end up seeing the same sight we did that day. But there's one big difference. Atop the walls, soldiers stand to face the titans. And that would be us".

"Yeah, stack it up on the edge" Hange says as they look over everyone as Mikasa carries barrels into the netting.

Eren and Armin turn around to look at Mikasa who is doing a lot of heavy lifting on her own.

"Eren. There's no time to stop. Keep your hands busy" Mikasa says as she looks at Eren.

Eren starts to beat himself up as Evelyn spots this and she runs over.

"Eren, what the hell are you doing?" Mikasa asks as she grabs his arms and stops him.

"No. I was just beating the shit out of a useless brat" Eren says as he looks down.

"Ooh, my turn!" Evelyn says as she comes over and punches him across the face.

Eren looks at her for a moment before laughing. Evelyn start to laugh as she grabs Eren and hugs him tightly as he tries to fight her. The two start to fight each other as they roll around on the ground.

"Are they okay?" Hange asks as they look at them.

"It's been a long time since I've seen this" Mikasa says as she looks at the two of them.

"Every time Eren did something stupid, Evelyn would grab him and the two of them would wrestle. It was kind of like a thing Evelyn did to calm Eren down" Armin says with a soft smile.

The squad regroups after finishing the barrels, just as Rod makes it to the wall. The hot steam coming off his body is thick and makes it difficult for anyone to see. They all prepare to fire when the wall shakes.

"Are we too late?" Erwin asks as he overlooks the entire thing.

Rod's hand appears through the smoke as he slams it down onto the wall, rubble falling into the district below. Rod pulls himself up on the wall as he looks down at the city below, his entire front half scraped off due to not being able to walk vertically. Rod starts to release his guts onto the walls as the soldiers run away from him. The people of Orvud District scream as they all start to run towards Wall Sina as fast as they can. Rod tightens his grip on the wall as he starts to break it. One of the captain's starts to freak out.

"Stand back, Captain" Levi says as he puts his hand on the man's shoulder, "we'll take over from here!".

"Eren, Evelyn. We're up!" Armin says as he looks at Eren and Evelyn who stretch.

"Armin. Another thing's different from then" Eren says as he looks at Armin, "it might not be all they hoped for, but now humanity has an ace up its sleeve".

The three children continue to run away down below when they hear a crack of thunder and a flash of lightning. Eren kneels down to Evelyn as she jumps onto his hand. Eren starts to run as Evelyn runs up his arm and holds onto the net of barrels. Sasha and Conny set the barrels rolling towards Rod's hands as the barrels make contact. The two of them pull the triggers as the barrels explode, taking out Rod's hands. Rod falls to his knees as his face hits the wall. Eren continues to run in as Evelyn pulls out her oil slicked dagger, Rod looking at the two of them. Rod and Eren growl as Eren throws the barrels and Evelyn into Rod's throat as he shuts his mouth. Eren lands on the other side of Rod as everyone waits. Evelyn shoves her dagger into the top of Rod's mouth as she glides down to his stomach with the barrels. Evelyn then puts her bow and arrow on her bag as she uses two daggers to climb all the way back up to his mouth. Evelyn gets her bow and arrow out as she pulls out a lighter too. She sets the end of the arrows on fire as she fires them along Rod's throat. She makes it back down to his stomach, lining his entire body with arrows. Evelyn then goes back up Rod's throat as she sighs. She stands at the end of his tongue and shoots a fire arrow down to the barrels. She hears an explosion from below as the light starts to come towards her.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit!" Evelyn yells as she runs towards Rod's mouth.

The Scouts watch, including Eren who's returned to his human form as they hear an explosion from inside Rod, smoke coming from the holes where the canons hit. Rod explodes as Evelyn is thrown out.

"Evelyn!" Levi yells as he runs off the edge of the wall and he goes after her as she continues to fall down.

Parts of Rod's flesh remain intact as the troops go straight after them, getting ready to kill them. Levi grabs Evelyn as he swoops back up.

"Are you okay?" Levi asks as he looks at her as she nods, "you're insane, you know that right?".

It may be gigantic, but its vitals are still one metre high and ten centimetres across. Unless we destroy the main body, it will regenerate and form another shield of heat. We've only got one shot.

Erwin says to himself.

"Shit! Which one is it?" Jean asks as he and Conny look around after cutting the different pieces of flesh.

Evelyn looks around as she spots a piece of flesh that flies straight by them, different from the others, steam coming off of it.

"Historia!" Evelyn yells as Historia looks at her, Evelyn pointing at the piece.

"Captain, thank you!" Historia yells as she goes after the piece.

I'm sorry for being so selfish. But this is the first time I've gone against my parents... this is my first fight... with my Father.

Historia tells herself as she cuts through the piece. There is a large explosion as Historia is knocked unconscious. Evelyn pushes off of Levi as she goes after Historia without any ODM gear.

"Evelyn!" Levi yells as Erwin swoops in and pulls him back, "let go of me!".

"She'll be okay!" Erwin yells as the two of them watch as Evelyn grabs Historia, the two of them falling into a cart below.

"Was our city just saved?" a man asks as a crowd of people gather around the cart.

"Excuse me. Are the two of you okay?" another man asks as he looks over at Evelyn and Historia.

"Historia!" Evelyn yells as she shakes Historia who lays in her lap, "wake up!".

"Captain Evelyn" Historia says softly as she wakes up.

"Oh, thank God" Evelyn says as she hugs Historia tightly.

"Captain Evelyn, is your arm okay?" Historia asks as she looks at Evelyn's arm which is broken, the bone poking through the flesh.

"Nothing titan powers can't fix" Evelyn says as steam starts to rise from her arm as the two of them stand up.

"My name is Historia Reiss" Historia says as she faces the crowd, "the true ruler of the walls".

--- a few hours later ---

Kenny pulls himself from the wreckage of the cave as he makes it to a tree.

I'm afraid I cannot die right now. Please forgive me.

Kenny remembers his friend Uri say.

Give me a break. You hear me, don't you? Have you got a name?

Kenny remember saying to Levi when he met the kid for the first time. He unties all of his gear as it drops off of his body. He leans against the tree as he falls to the ground. He continues to remember memories with Levi as footsteps approach him.

"Kenny" Levi says as he and Evelyn come over, both with rifles in their arms.

"Oh, gee. It's you two" Kenny says as he looks up at the two of them.

"Your comrades we fought, they ended up getting crushed" Evelyn says as she looks at Kenny, "are you the only survivor?".

"Seems that way" Kenny says as he shuts his eyes.

"With those burns and that blood loss, there's no helping you now" Levi says with a frown.

"Yeah? I wonder" Kenny says with a small smile as he pulls out another box with titan serum and a syringe.
