"I'm going back to Minnesota for Christmas," Connor mentions as morning dawns through the open living room and into the greyscaled kitchen. He's watching Troye flit through his movie collection, absent-mindedly twirling a spoon into his mug of coffee, and his free hand drums anxiously over the laminated plastic counter-top he's pressed against.
Troye hums equally as distractedly as Connor's stirring of his beverage, the majority of his attention fixed indefinitely on the Blu-ray edition of Juno he's got in his hands. He doesn't seem to pick up on his boyfriend's frazzled nerves, nor does he note the way green eyes trace uncertainly across his figure. Connor's expression is careful, open, curious as he tries to read into the moods Troye flickers through.
Finally, he sighs. Lifting his tepid cup of coffee to take two slow sips, he sets it back down with a clank and moves into the living room. His arms wrap around Troye's waist easily, slipping over the freshly-washed material of a shirt that once belonged to him, and his chin fits perfectly in the crook of the younger boy's shoulder.
He breathes in the scent of seasonal street air and perfumed laundry detergent, rests his palms flat against Troye's stomach and closes his eyes.
"Come with me?" he queries softly, rocking them imperceptibly from side to side. Troye's own hands move to cover his own, frail form leaning back into his warmth as blue eyes slip shut to follow green. A gentle hum resounds quietly through the casually idle apartment, Connor's breath fanning across the exposed skin Troye's loose t-shirt does nothing to cover.
"Okay," he says, simple and easy and in a tone that says that's really all there is to it.
Connor smiles, dropping a comfortable brush of lips to his jawline before moving to swipe Juno from his hands.
