Thomas's small snores filled the air as he laid in Vydia's arms. Vydia increased her body's temperature to make sure Thomas stayed as warm as possible. The crackling fire shined on his sleeping figure, Thomas was buddle up in a large coat, laying on a few pieces of clothing to soften and warm the ground he slept on.

Vydia faced Five who sat leaning against the wall. She noticed the stubble growing on his face. Five's tired eyes lingered on Thomas's sleeping figure, still in worry. Five and Vydia thought it was a common cold at first but the days got worse. Five and Vydia did as much they could to find out what Thomas had, from combining their theories to hysterically searching the libraries for information.

Just a couple of days ago they concluded it was hypothermia. Thomas was lucky they found out in time and they kept him warm enough for the days and nights. He was doing better now.

However, Five often found himself thinking if it was better if Thomas didn't exist so he wouldn't live through the horrors of the apocalypse. As morbid as the thought was, it was true. Thomas deserved a life where he could attend school and make friends or a life where he could wake up with pancakes and a glass of chocolate milk for breakfast and not scrapes of food Five and Vydia find; even if they were in the best condition compared to what Five and Vydia ate. Or a life where he could meet his family like Five wanted to meet Claire or how Vydia wanted to meet his family even though Five's family was beyond messed up.

For years he had tried to find the perfect equations so they could travel back home instead of being in this hellhole but he wasn't near the right equations. His main priority was to go back and stop the apocalypse and save his family and the world, it still was but he also had another priority and that was to get Vydia, Thomas, and himself out of it. Five has a responsibility for the new family he has now.

"I know you're scared," Vydia said, snapping Five out of his thoughts.

He merely chuckled dryly, "If that wasn't already in the obvious."

"But he's getting better. His breathing is a lot smoother and he could speak for a longer period of time."

Five scooted closer to Vydia and Thomas, "I know. I'm sorry."

"It's okay," she reached out and Five grasped Vydia's warm hand. Attempting to stay on a positive topic, Vydia questioned, "When we do get out of here and stop the apocalypse, what do you think we'll do?"

Five never actually thought of what they would do. He's been too busy focusing on the apocalypse that the idea of what they would after they stopped it never crossed his mind. "I don't know."

Vydia didn't have a solid idea either. Well, except two she hadn't told Five about yet. Maybe she and Five could finally get married and if Five wanted, they could have another kid. And she also wants to meet Five's family after they stop the apocalypse. Vydia wanted to get to know them the best she could, rather than guess who they were as a person from Vanya's book she read a long time ago.

Not only did she want to get to know the Hargreeves because they were Five's family but because they were also going to be hers. They were the only family she had left besides Thomas and Five.

Maybe Vydia might bump into Mrs. or Mr. Carillo when they travel back in time if she ever got the chance.

Vydia quietly gasped, "What if we get a dog?"

"And what? We'll name it Mr. Pennycrumb?" Five sarcastically answered.

"Yes. That is the perfect name."

Five oddly stared at Vydia. The smile on her face didn't leave as she pulled Thomas closer to her. Five smiled shaking his head, "Fine, Vee. We'll name it Mr. Pennycrumb."

Thomas shifted and mumbled, "Mom." Vydia and Five shut their mouths and paused not wanting to wake him up. Thomas ground his teeth as he slept. Vydia let go of Five's hand, gradually moving Thomas's hair out of his face, and tucked his head to her chest.

Five laid down next to Thomas, covering them all with a blanket. "Goodnight, Vee," he whispered.

Vydia glimpsed at him once more and smiled, "Goodnight, Five."

Petition for the Umbrella Academy to introduce Mr. Pennycrumb for Five in the show unless they do it in a poor way.

I don't know if I want to add season three to this book or make a sequel when season three comes out. We'll find out because I have no self-control.
