I had finally finished unpacking my stuff and even my bed was settled in my new room. This room was quite spacious and had a black-and-white theme. The bathroom had a jacuzzi too for which I was quite grateful.

Actually, Mr Mercer's whole house was unquestionably gorgeous. The penthouse had two floors. My room was at downstairs and beside mine, was another room. In the upstairs, there were 3 rooms and one of them was Mr Mercer's. To be honest, seeing his house being so luxurious didn't surprise me much. I mean, the guy was quite famous and rich, so it was quite conventional of him to have such a sumptuous house.

I had changed into a pair of comfortable black shorts and a grey crop-top with a deep neckline. After that, I combed my hair and kept them down. Then I went downstairs to ask the maids if they had cooked the lunch, yes he had maids too, what a typical rich person!

As I made my way to the kitchen, I found Mr Mercer sitting on the couch in the living room while typing in his laptop. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion because as far as I remembered, Mr Mercer usually used to work overtime on the weekends. I shrugged, thinking that it was none of my business if he comes home early or not as it was his own house.

I ignored him and was about to go to the kitchen when Mr Mercer out of the blue called me

"Hey Lilith, did have any difficulties while shifting? And is your room comfortable enough?" Mr Mercer inquired and I internally groaned as I wasn't in the to talk to him, then again, I didn't like to talk to him anyway. I turned around then walked over to him and found him still typing, he must have heard my footsteps! Ahh!! Why couldn't I walk silently?!

I stood in front of him and crossed my arms then questioned him

"When did we come to the first-name basis huh?" He looked up and was about to say something but stopped and checked me out from up to down then gulped and I smirked

"As much as I felt flattered after seeing your reaction, don't you think it's a little inappropriate to check out your employee Mr Mercer?" I sledged and Mr Mercer quickly looked away from me and cleared his throat while blushing slightly in embarrassment.

" umm....ac-tua-lly its no-thing like t-ha-t" He stuttered and blushed brighter, scratching the back of his neck while I snickered. He then took a deep breath and ran his fingers through his hair

"I never saw you in such clothes before, so I was kinda surprised to see you" he muttered in embarrassment while looking at the floor and I snorted

"I don't think surprised is the correct word here" I scoffed then looked at his laptop and saw some office related work on the screen. I rolled my eyes and mumbled

"You have an exceedingly obsession with work! I mean it's weekend for God's sake!" He had finally cooled down from his little shock and started to type in the laptop again while muttering indifferently

"What else do you want me to do Lilith? I am not a slothful person like you!" I rolled my eyes at his answer and closed his laptop then sneered at him while he glared

"Not doing work on weekends, doesn't make me a slothful person! It makes me a human being, rather than a robot like you! Moreover, you didn't answer my earlier question!! When did we come to the first-name basis? I inquired and raised my eyebrow at him.

" I thought as we aren't in the office right now, so we can call each other by our first name. You can call me Clavicus too!!" He suggested bashfully and I rolled my eyes

"Yeah, whatever!" I scoffed and went to the kitchen. I was too hungry to argue with him. I saw the lunch was ready, so I took out a plate and started to serve myself. Clavicus suddenly came to the kitchen but I just ignored him and continued to fill up my plate. He cleared his throat and questioned nervously

"Umm.m...what should I do on weekends?" I turned around and found him sitting on the kitchen counter

"I don't know!! Maybe watch a movie/series or go out with your friends!! Or you can read a book!! Also, stop asking such stupid questions!! you ain't no child!!" I scoffed and rolled my eyes then I was about to leave the kitchen with my food when Clavicus stopped me

"How about we watch a series together? I mean, you just shifted today, so you must be too tired to go out with your friends!!" He suggested politely and I raised my eyebrow at him

"What are we? Besties?? Should we paint each other's nails and braid hair of one another while gossiping about boys??" I sledged and he just rolled his eyes while chuckling lightly

"Oh come on!! Watching a series with me, won't kill you!!" He insisted and I sighed. I wanted to binge-watch one of my favourite series though and he wasn't a babbler like my best friends, so he would be less annoying to hang out with.

"Fine! But I get to decide which series we gonna watch!! also, no babbling while watching the series, ok?" I asserted and he nodded his head with a smile.

It was almost 11 pm right now and both Clavicus and I was glued to the couch. We kept watching my favourite series "YOU" since lunchtime. We even had both lunch and dinner here. We didn't talk much though for which I was quite grateful as I didn't like to talk to people much, especially the ones I despise!!

I turned my head and found Clavicus completely indulged in watching the last episode of "YOU"

"Someone seems to love it too much huh!" I teased him with a smirk and he rolled his eyes with a smile

"No need to be so smug about it!! Also, I didn't know that you were into watching lovey-dovey stuff" he mumbled with amusement and raised his eyebrow at me. I rolled my eyes at him

"If you think that 'YOU' is about love, then you have just wasted your time by watching it. Here they mocked the concept of love! Nobody here truly loved each other. It was their insecurities which led them to such delusional thoughts. Honestly, in real-world too, nobody loves one another. It's our insecurities and loneliness which makes us crave for attention and affection. When someone gives it to us, we name it as love." I proclaimed with a shrug and Clavicus stared at me for a moment with an expression which I couldn't distinguish. Then he cleared his throat and slowly got up then looked at me with a smile

"I am feeling kinda sleepy, so I am going to bed now. I had a lot of fun with you today, thanks for that! Goodnight, Lilith" he said politely and left in a hurry before I could even say anything. I sighed and continued to watch it, even though my mind was occupied with many questions. A minute ago he was so excited to see the end and now he left even without finishing it, I swear this guy must be on drugs.

I know this chapter is boring but I am having a huge writer's block due to which my writing got worse😫😫😫 Also as I am struggling to write the story properly, I have decided to make it a fast-paced book!! So don't come after me If the story moves drastically 😰😰😰😰😰
