"We shouldn't waste our time caring for defenseless animals." Grif cut her off but Carolina still agreed with him. Wash sighed "Keep the sandwich, maybe you'll return the favor someday." Wash stated as he stood back up. 

Simmons held the chain which Athena was freed from. Athena quickly realized the sandwich and wolfed it down. She was halfway done with it before she picked the rest of and ran down the sidewalk with it. 

Athena drooled at the flavor as she started to go down the alleyway. Buddy was squeaking as if he was sharing an idea with Athena but of course she couldn't understand him. 

She growled before eating some of the sandwich before leaving some for Buddy, who gratefully ate it. 

Athena panted as she put her nose to the ground which allowed Buddy to scurry back on. She continued walking down the alleyway till abruptly something grabbed her scruff but it wasn't as gentle as Markaira's teeth.

These fangs meant to hurt her. The dog threw her to the wall and growled at her, Athena snarled in defense at the mangy street dog. 

Though, her confidence shrunk as 3 other dogs came beside the alpha. Athena though got into a fighting stance she saw Markaira do with the cougar. 

Buddy was squeaking in panic as Athena launched herself to the Alpha Dog. She pinned him down and landed a harsh bite to his ear though she was dragged off and thrown onto her shoulder. 

Athena whimpered but cut it short with a snarl as she leaped back onto her feet and she raked her claws over one of the side-dogs' throat. The dog fell to the ground twitching once or twice before going motionless.

She realized she had murdered the dog without hesitation, but didn't have much time to think about it when the Alpha Dog clawed her face angrily.

The force knocked Athena sideways and Buddy leaped off her head into the nearest can. Athena bit back an angry snarl as she leaped at him, her sharp fangs aiming for his throat which seemed to put a quick death to the last dog.

Her fangs met flesh but it wasn't the Alpha's, it was his companion's though his body went limp in her jaws. 

Athena looked back up for anymore challengers but they were running down the alleyway, yelping in terror. 

She began to prance in circles out of pride and just as her personal way to boast but Buddy still was panicking so Athena looked up to see a bulky man. She growled a warning but her muzzle was pinned to the dirty floor. 

Her scruff was yanked harshly as the man put a muzzle on her face. Athena growled in fury as she felt Buddy grab her tail and hang on as the man began to drag her. 

Athena noticed a van was parked into the alleyway and wondered how she didn't hear it, but she didn't have anymore time to think of it as she was Thrown into the van. 

Athena whimpered and whined but she felt something lash at her. The man had a whip and he was hitting her with it! As soon as Athena was quiet, he stopped so she figured stay silent, man won't lash. 

The van doors closed and after a minute or so the van started. Athena submissively lowered herself to the ground as she didn't bother to look around as she felt the van move.
