Past...

A small boy grabbed his ears as his parents got louder. His brother was beside him before a shout finally made the two freeze.

"FINE! YOU MIGHT HAVE THAT, BUT MARK MY WORDS! YOU'RE GOING DOWN!"

A woman came out and grabbed two suitcases before noticing the two boys. She then went over with hushed voices.

"I'm sorry to say this, But Gold, we have to go." The smaller boy looked up in a panic.

"What about me?"

"I'm sorry, Blake. But that bastard's got papers." The younger boy's eyes instantly had tears as she hugged him. "I'm so sorry. Be safe." She gave Gold one of the suitcases. "Go pack your stuff. We need to leave." Gold nodded before running upstairs.

The duo arrived at the Kingdom next door as Gold trembled.

"Hungry-" He stumbled as she gripped his hand, catching his fall. "Tired-" She gulped as she helped him to his feet.

"I know. Let's go find somewhere."

Winter was rough. Gold trembled as the heat vanished despite the fire's hard work. His mother held him close as he fell asleep.

He woke up to warmth as someone cuddled up to him. He blinked before seeing a smaller boy beside him. His brown eyes lit up seeing he was awake.

"Sis! wer drot ui svern!" (Sis! The boy is awake!) He rubbed his eyes before someone went over to them. His eyes met a blue pair as she smiled.

"Morning. Are you ok?" Gold nodded before he paused.

"Where's... where's Mummy...?" The boy smiled.

"jaciv kruth! itrewica jimva de gul. ui itrewicir irisva!" (She ok! Got sick from cold. Is getting healed!) Gold paused as the other person knelt down, revealing a small girl.

"She's resting in the Infirmary. We found you both within the cold motel that nearly crushed you guys."

He lowered his head. He must've passed out before that. His stomach growled as he faded off. The boy paused before he went somewhere, leaving him with the blanket. He returned with an apple, grabbing his attention. He took it with a soft 'thanks' before an excited smile crossed his face. The girl smiled.

"Here... you can stay here until you've regained strength."
