TWO:ONE

*EDITED

If you had told Coleena a month ago that moving cities would have found her, her soulmate and a big family she had always secretly wanted she would have laughed in your face. Probably thrown around a few insults, and walked away. If you had also told her that on a rainy stormy Sunday Alice Cullen and Rosalie Hale would be in her room, picking her outfit for school she would have asked who that was and why they were allowed too. Now she would simply tell you that there is no changing a course Alice has chosen.

"Why is this so important?" She asked looking up from her romance novel. She was laid stomach down on her bed while Alice rummaged through her closet and Rosalie had been sitting at her desk. Rosalie who was not usually one to go along with Alice had come as moral support. Although as Rosalie had yet to defy Alice Coleena doubted that to be true.

"Because..." Alice had started only to pause as she looked up thinking.

"That's the catch." Rosalie scoffed a bit of a smirk on her face. "She doesn't even know why." Coleena's eyes widened as she shot an accusing look towards Alice.

"You tore my room apart looking for a dress and you don't even know why?" Rosalie laughed at the tone of her voice and Alice's defeated look.

"Don't judge me." Alice slightly pouted as she got back to looking for the dress. "I've had a vision of all of us walking into the school cafeteria. Now I'm not entirely sure..." Alice paused a gasp washing over her face as she dug out a white long sleeved dress, it had gray capri leggings mixed in with it. "I found it! This is perfect!" She excitedly spoke.

Coleena looked over at Rosalie a helpless look plastered all over her face. Rosalie smiled reassuringly at her before Alice started talking again. "This will go well with Jasper's outfit the colors match!" She laid them both down on the bed before she turned back to the closet. "Now for the shoes." She trailed off looking around it moving some clothes around before the clothes were covered in a blue mist. Floating in the air as it cleared a space for Alice to see the shoes while moving back into the closet on hangers and folding itself.

"I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing magic." Rosalie spoke rolling her eyes while Alice smiled.

"Well, she's going to be in the family for a long time. Better to get used to it now." Coleena swallowed thickly as she shut her mouth changing her mind about wanting to retort to Rosalie about not getting used to them being vampires. She knew they were real, she had just never thought she would ever be involved with them. However another thought poked through her mind. One she couldn't ignore.

"Do I really...I mean.."

"Yes." Alice answered turning around and smiling at Coleena as Rosalie watched with furrowed brows. What was she going to ask Alice? "You could even see for yourself." Alice stated holding out her hand to Coleena. Just as she was about to grab Alice's hand her mom called for her making her jump away.

Her heart had been pounding and she was relieved at the interruption, she wanted to know she was more curious than anything. Would her and Jasper really be together? Happy and loving? That lingering fear was wrapping her in a rope and pulling her back tight. She didn't want to be with anyone, to have to trust a person like that. Even if she trusted Jasper more than anyone right now, she couldn't trust him like that. A second later the door opened and Davina walked through the door.

"You need to be getting ready, we have dinner with Charlie and his daughter in twenty minutes."

Coleena rolled her eyes as she closed her book and rolled over. "I don't want to go, wouldn't it be weird to get close to regular humans? I mean what if they find out? Why risk it?" The three girls watched as Davina rolled her eyes and placed her hands on her hips.

"Not being close with them would look weird." She stated before Alice smiled happily.

"She's right." She bounded forward gracefully as she grabbed Davina's hands, Rosalie and Coleena sharing a look. "You look amazing, don't worry Leena will be ready to go in an amazing outfit. I've seen it." Davina smiled slightly while releasing Alice's hands.

"Thank you." She spoke sweetly before turning to Coleena to point out her finger her expression a serious one. Green eyes bore into blue ones as she spoke. "Be ready. I mean it." Coleena shivered as she nodded hastily.

"I will." Rosalie laughed and Alice turned towards her, a knowing smile on her face. Although Rosalie wouldn't be involved with Alice looking into the future, today she had been relying on it.

"I'll meet you outside Rose." Alice spoke before she was already walking away closing the door. Coleena's brows furrowed as she looked expectantly towards Rosalie. Rosalie held a solemn look on her face as she grabbed Coleena's hands.

"Finding Emmett made things better, maybe you should stop fighting your connection with my brother."

Coleena scoffed taking her hands back quickly. "Jesus, Rose. Really?" She spoke in disbelief as Rosalie smiled sadly.

"It's true, look for a while I really despised everything but he made it better. I know you trust him but sometimes taking that leap will make everything better." Her words made sense but she didn't want to believe it. She wanted to keep things how they were-Friends. Being friends with Jasper Hale already made things better. "Just think about it." Rosalie wrapped Coleena into a tight hug, one that had she been normal would have crushed her.

"It may end up being the best thing for you."

Coleena sighed as she hugged back before pulling away. "Maybe." Rosalie sighed as she nodded.

"Well, I'll leave you to get ready for that dinner." Coleena scoffed.

"All because of this new girl." She spoke and Rosalie rolled her eyes. "I mean why is she so important?" Rosalie laughed as she picked up her purse.

"I thought the same as you, till I met you. Maybe you'll like her." Her eyes rolled as she waved her hand sarcastically. After all, Coleena was a bit closer to normal than they all would ever be.

"Totally, become besties with a regular human. Smart idea." Rose laughed before she was gone alongside Alice and Coleena sighed heavily rubbing at her face frustratingly. She didn't want to get close to a regular human. They are all bad.

She remembered Sarah from her old school and the situation she had let Coleena get into. She never wanted to be that close with another human.

                    ——————————

"Could you at least act happy to be here." Davina scolded her daughter who sighed. They hadn't even made it across the street yet and she was already being scolded. The scowl that rested on her face while Ashley was simply just indifferent made her annoyed.

"I'm not happy to be going here touching and being happy reading their thoughts. This is weird, Mama." Davina let out a frustrated sigh as she looked hopefully towards Ashley who was looking nervous now that she was being looked towards. Ashley and Coleena were more alike than her and Davina, almost like Coleena had been Ashley's daughter.

"What your mom says goes." Coleena sighed heavily before visibly smiling.

"Fine." She started as she walked in between both of her mothers. "Don't expect me to like her OR be friends with her or whatever at school. I don't want to be close with the humans, closer than need be. Not only for our family but the Cullens as well. That is just a danger waiting to happen and I'm not going to be the one exposing either of us OR risking this poor normal human girl finding out."

Davina visibly brightened as Ashley gave an approving nod to Coleena. "Thanks honey, look at her already looking after her soulmates family! So sweet." Coleena scoffed as she quickened her pace. missing the intense look her mom's gave each other. Both of them knew how badly she had wanted and wished to be normal, they had just hoped that Jasper would show her being different wasn't all that bad.

As the small family of three stood on the porch awaiting Charlie Swan and Isabella, Coleena sighed her mind wandering over to what things she would see. What kind of person Isabella was and what kind of people she hung out with, would her coming to forks cause a shift in the way things are now? As the door opened Charlie opened his arms pulling Ashley into a hug.

"Well don't you just look great for your thirties." He teased before he opened his door wider. Once he had set eyes on Davina and Coleena he smiled. "You must be the wonderful wife I've heard about." Bella had seemed to appear a wide eyed look on her face.

"Your friend is gay?" The air seemed to tense as Charlie who she was learning was an awkward person looked towards his daughter. Davina smiled a nervous smile, while Ashley was staring at Charlie however it was Coleena who didn't seem very welcoming. Her arms crossed her face held high as she scowled at the girl. Almost as if sensing it, Isabella looked over towards Coleena stiffening slightly. At this everyone looked from Isabella to Coleena who seemed like she was about to berate the other girl.

"Leena Marie!" Davina scolded smacking her daughter upside her head. Coleena gasped her mouth dropped open in shock as Davina pushed her head down bowing alongside her daughter. Customs burned into the rich witch. "I'm so sorry about her." Davina spoke as Ashley crossed her arms a smirk on her face at Charlie's shocked uncomfortable expression and poor Bella who seemed more clueless and worried than anything. "Give us a moment." Davina spoke pushing Coleena back out the front door, the latter hearing Coleena's protests and Davina's scolding.

"You'll have to excuse my daughter Bella." Ashley spoke as the brunette seemed to stiffen at being addressed. "She doesn't like meeting new people. A bit of a temper." Ashley smiled holding out her hand for the teenager. "I'm Ashley Caster, the woman outside is my wife Davina, and our daughter Leena." Bella nodded swiftly as she shook her hand surprising the raven haired woman at the amount of silence.

The door seemed to open and Coleena scoffed slightly before Davina tapped her. A short, "Manners!" grumbling out of the brunette as she looked towards her daughter.

"I apologize." She grit out as she stepped forward holding her hand. "Hello Isabella, I am Leena." She greeted her formally although begrudgingly.

"Just Bella is fine." The brunette corrected as she shook her hand, she watched as the same surprised look washed over Coleena's face as it had with Ashley. The two shared brief eye contact before Coleena's dark blue eyes seemed to bore right into Bella's eyes. "I'm sorry about earlier-I didn't mean any harm, I actually knew people who were..." She paused glancing through the small family in her doorway. "dating the same gender." Coleena almost scoffed as she gave a forced smile.

"It's okay." It's not okay.

She hated this, people who wouldn't ever understand. It wasn't really a choice as it was simply fate. Fate decided that Ashley and Davina met and are made for each other. Fate decided the same with her and Jasper, and the rest of the people who weren't normal. It ran deeper than just a like. Bella stopped shaking her hand as Coleena turned towards Charlie, a smile washing over her face. She had seen memories of how close Charlie and Ashley were. "Hello Charlie. Thank you for having us." She shook hands with the man her eyes glazing over as she saw his memories. A mixture of confusion sadness and happiness washed over her as Charlie continued to shake her hand.

"I'll have to talk to Bella about not being in Phoenix anymore, she can't keep offending people like that. Things are different here."

Bella and Coleena were sat across each other eating the spaghetti while Davina sat beside Coleena across Charlie while Ashley had pulled up an extra chair. It had been an awkward dinner before Charlie spoke up. "So." He cleared his throat as Coleena looked over. "Are you liking the high school better than your old one?" He asked and Coleena cleared her throat putting her fork down.

Sensing her confusion Charlie spoke up once again. "It was your first week right? I work with your mom, she worried over that bike you ride." He stated while Coleena shared a teasing look with Ashley.

"That right?" She asked an amused smile taking over her features as he took a drink of his beer. Bella watched as Ashley coughed slightly and Charlie grunted slightly.

Coleena smirked having noticed Ashley kick Charlie from under the table.

"Yep. Yeah." Charlie spoke and Coleena laughed slightly.

"She need not worry, I'm very capable." She spoke taking a drink of water. Bella couldn't help her curiosity as she stared at the yellow healing bruise on Coleena's eye or the small slit on her lip. It had made her even more afraid of the older girl.

"Besides, my babies got a boyfriend with a very nice car." Davina supplied a giddy look on her face, Charlie and Bella watched as her cheeks flushed red.

"Mama!" Coleena scolded as she gave her a look to which Davina only chuckled at.

"Alright, Alright. Not dating." She supplied as Coleena gulped down some water. "Yet." At that Coleena's water had pushed it's way out of her nose as she coughed harshly. Everyone startled as she stood up swiftly her chair screeching.

"Bathroom!" She coughed out embarrassingly. She rushed off up the stairs shocking the two Swan's as to how she knew the bathroom was up there without any directions. Bella watched as Davina and Ashley shared a look before Ashley coughed.

"I've told her about your lovely home here." Ashley covered but Bella seemed to pick up on something. Something not quite sitting correctly in the air with the family.

"You should check on her Bella, make sure she found it alright." Charlie encouraged to which Davina smiled happily.

"Great idea!"

If it was one thing Coleena wouldn't want, it would be for Bella to come see her. As she made it to the top of the stairs she saw Coleena open the bathroom door. Her black hair falling the slight waves just past her ribs, her blue eyes popping slightly. She had an eyebrow raised as Bella shifted slightly.

"They sent me to check on you." She stated and Coleena nodded. They stood in silence which Bella had found awkward before she asked. "So who was the guy your mom was talking about?"

She watched as Coleena scowled before walking down the stairs. "We don't have to pretend to be nice to each other." She practically growled as she grabbed her coat by the door. "Nothing against you, I just don't like you." She spat out before slamming the door to the house as she stormed across the street. Bella watched her go with a confused look on her face as everyone came over to the door.

"That girl." Davina sighed as she picked up her coat. "Thank you for dinner, it was nice meeting you." She spoke before following after her daughter. Ashley looked towards the two an apologetic smile on her face.

"I'll see you at work Charlie, have a nice first day Bella." Just like that it was now only the two Swan's once again in their house.

"That went well." Bella mumbled as Charlie scoffed lightly.

"Listen Bells." He started as the walked back to the kitchen. "Go easy on Leena, it's been a rough year for her." Although she was curious Bella decided to leave it at that and listen to her fathers question. She didn't know Leena and it seemed like they were never going to know each other.
