Chapter 7

"There's land, we're coming up to the island," San yelled out as his eyes landed on the green trees up ahead.

"GUYS WE'RE HERE," he yelled, trying to better gain their attention. A few seconds later there were rushed footsteps and Mingi and Wooyoung popped up beside him by the helm.

"Damn I've missed this island. When is the last time we came here," Wooyoung said quietly.

"Probably over a year, we've been pretty busy. But we can use the quiet and the relaxation now," San said with a small sigh.

"Hopefully this can bring us all back together, make you two stop stressing about life," he added, removing his hands from the wheel to wrap his arms around their shoulders. Wooyoung let out a breath and quickly turned into San's side, wrapping his arms around his waist and snuggling his head into his neck. San pat Mingi's shoulder before letting him go and grabbing the helm with one hand. He left his other arm around Wooyoung's shoulder, holding him close. Wooyoung has been extra clingy since they talked things through the two nights ago but San doesn't mind it.

"Now that is a beautiful sight," Hongjoong said happily as he walked up to see the island they were sailing towards.

"It does look really nice. You excited to take Seonghwa out for sunset walks by the beach, be oh so romantic," Wooyoung said with a giggle.

"Don't laugh, that is something he is totally would do," San said with a chuckle.

"And it is totally something I am going to do so stop being brats," Hongjoong said, cuffing them both on the backs of their heads.

"Go get Jongho to get ready with the anchor, I'll bring us up beside the island," San said. Hongjoong nodded before leaving quickly, heading below deck and to Jongho's room to find the youngest sitting on his bed while putting on his shoes.

"San's going to need you to anchor in soon, we're coming up to the island," Hongjoong said.

"Ok," Jongho said with a nod. Hongjoong turned to leave but backtracked as Jongho called out to him.

"Can we talk please," Jongho asked quietly.

"It seems like there's been a lot of talking lately," Hongjoong said with a sigh, moving inside and sitting down beside Jongho on the edge of the bed. Jongho is one of the most quiet of the crew, generally keeping to himself and usually just takes what is going on without complaint.

"What's going on? Are you ok," Hongjoong asked softly.

"Yeah I'm fine, I just want to make sure you're ok," Jongho said with a nod. Hongjoong smiled softly and reached up, ruffling Jongho's hair lightly.

"I'm good now Jjong. I'm feeling a lot better and we all get to relax for today and tomorrow before we start discussing this ghost crew," Hongjoong said.

"Ok, just promise me you will say something if you aren't feeling great," Jongho said.

"I will, I promise. But you don't need to be worrying about me alright. I'm the Captain, it's my job to look after you not you to look after me," Hongjoong said with a frown.

"Bullshit. We are all supposed to look after each other," Jongho said. Hongjoong smiled softly and nodded before patting the top of Jongho's head softly.

"Let's go get the Illusion anchored in so we can relax on the island," Hongjoong said. Jongho nodded and they both left the room, Hongjoong going back to his quarters while Jongho went to the anchor. Hongjoong slipped inside the quarters and sat on the edge of the bed, placing his hand down on Seonghwa's head and brushing his hair back softly. Seonghwa stirred slightly and let out a soft whine before his eyes slipped open.

"Hey Joong," he whispered, sitting up tiredly. His hair was sticking up all over the place due to his couple hour nap but Hongjoong quickly ran his fingers properly through his hair to flatten it out and fix it up.

"Everything ok," Seonghwa asked with a yawn.

"Yeah, we're here at the island and we're about to anchor in," Hongjoong said. Right then he noticed the tell-tale signs of the anchor shooting down to stop them from moving. Hongjoong quickly wrapped his arms around Seonghwa's waist and pushed them to lay down on the bed. Mere seconds later there was a loud sound and the entire ship jolted to a halt. Seonghwa giggled and wrapped his arms around Hongjoong's waist, squeezing it gently.

"Two years later and you still can't tell when the ship is being anchored in," Hongjoong said with a chuckle.

"To be fair I was half asleep," Seonghwa said.

"Well you need to get up now because we've anchored in and they'll all be wanting to get out and explore a bit," Hongjoong said. Seonghwa sighed but nodded, knowing how restless the kids get when they arrive at different locations, especially Yunho, Mingi and Wooyoung. Seonghwa got up and got dressed quickly before the two of them left the room and headed out to where the others were all milling around the deck. Mingi was already bouncing up and down slightly on the balls of his feet while Yunho held onto him to try and keep him slightly calm.

"Alright, first of all I'm going to be setting some ground rules for everyone," Hongjoong said. They all immediately focused at that, knowing that Hongjoong was in Captain mode now and these were rules they would have to follow without question.

"We've all been here before but it's a large island that is unpopulated so it's still very easily for everyone to get lost and it could be dangerous. Rule 1 is that no one goes anywhere alone. If you wake up in the middle of the night and need to take a shit, you wake a buddy to go with you and they will do so without complaint," Hongjoong said. Yeosang giggled at this and San smiled fondly, wrapping his arms around the white haired boys waist and holding him close.

"Rule 2, you guys don't go anywhere without a weapon. We haven't run into any trouble here before but that doesn't mean we won't this time. There could be any number of dangers around so it's best to just take extra precautions," Hongjoong said. Yeosang raised his hand at that and everyone burst into fits of giggles at his excessive politeness. Even Hongjoong cracked a small smile, his serious demeanour slipping slightly.

"Yes Yeosang," he said, nodding to the other boy.

"Did you want everyone having a weapon or at least one person in the group," Yeosang asked.

"I mean preferably as many of you should have a weapon as possible. Everyone but you should have a sword or a dagger on them," Hongjoong said, receiving a nod in return.

"Rule 3 and a very important one, have fun and enjoy yourselves. We're staying here tonight and tomorrow night and then we're going to set sail again ok," Hongjoong said.

"So make the most of it guys," Seonghwa added.

"Anything else," Yunho asked.

"We'll do what we usually do and sleep around the fire with lookout shifts and make sure when you leave we all know you're heading out for a bit but other than that, just relax," Hongjoong said.

"Can we go now," Mingi asked excitedly.

"Yes Mingi you guys can go down to the beach," Hongjoong said with a nod. Wooyoung and Mingi immediately ran over to the edge of the ship, Mingi going to grab the ladder however Wooyoung had other ideas. He didn't stop, just grabbed the side of the ship rails and vaulted over.

"WOOYOUNG," San yelped, sprinting over and following him into the water. See it wouldn't be any problem if they had already surveyed the waters to make sure there weren't any dangers and that the water was deep enough but Wooyoung didn't do any of that. San landed in the water with a splash, thankful that the water was just deep enough so there would be no injuries. He swam to the surface and over to Wooyoung who was giggling.

"You idiot, you just scared the shit out of me," San said with a frown.

"Wooyoung you dumbass, don't jump off the ship without making sure it's safe first," Hongjoong yelled from where he was standing at the side of the ship.

"Sorry, I just got a bit too excited," Wooyoung said sheepishly. Mingi finally got the ladder down and one by one everyone climbed down into the water. Jongho lowered down a chest with some clothes and then another chest with some food and Yunho and Seonghwa carried them to the shore. They had anchored in where they usually do so there were some rocks under the shade where everyone quickly went over to set up camp.

"San, Woo and I will go out and collect some wood and sticks for the fire," Yeosang said.

"Alright, look after each other. Seonghwa and I are going to go for a walk to explore some of the caves," Hongjoong said.

"Have fun but not too much fun. We'll come get you for dinner," Jongho said. Hongjoong rolled his eyes at the youngers childishness but let it go and turned to Seonghwa.

"You ready to go my love," he asked. Seonghwa grinned at that and nodded, holding out his hand to which Hongjoong swiftly grabbed.

"You two are far too disgusting, get out of my sight," Yeosang said with a fake gag. Hongjoong chuckled and made sure his sword was by his side before he and Seonghwa walked off.

"Which kid do you think is going to cause chaos first," Seonghwa asked.

"I actually think it might be Yunho. He's usually pretty mature but when we're all alone on an island with all this freedom, he can get pretty rowdy. I would go with Wooyoung but I have a feeling he's going to be pretty mallow for a while and more concerned to make sure San is fine," Hongjoong said.

"That's pretty true. I was going to say Wooyoung but I agree, I think I'll go with Mingi," Seonghwa said with a nod.

"My back up will be Jongho," Hongjoong said.

"Then my back up is Yeosang," Seonghwa replied quickly. They were quiet for a few seconds before Hongjoong scoffed.

"I can't believe Woosan are the ones we are thinking are going to be the most responsible right now," he said, making Seonghwa burst out into laughter.

"I can't believe it either. What has gotten into us? This is just outrageous," Seonghwa laughed, letting go of Hongjoong's hand as he bent over while laughing. Hongjoong chuckled and hip checked Seonghwa, making him trip over as he was already off balance and fall into the sand. Hongjoong burst into laughter at the shocked look on Seonghwa's face but it was short lived as Seonghwa grabbed his ankle and yanked it forwards, making Hongjoong fall over onto his back. He grunted in slight pain, winded from the fall. It didn't hurt, not really, but Seonghwa doesn't know that. He decided to play it up and shift slightly before letting out a soft whimper. Seonghwa who had been laughing froze the instant he heard the whimper and he watched worriedly, waiting for Hongjoong to get up and brush it off as he thought he would. However, another 10 seconds passed and Hongjoong remained panting slight where he was sprawled on his back, his eyes closed and face scrunched up in pain. Seonghwa's stomach dropped and he sat up, shuffling over quickly and cupping Hongjoong's cheek softly.

"Joongie, you ok," he asked worriedly. Hongjoong let out another whimper, struggling to keep the smile from slipping onto his face. Seonghwa started to panic more, not meaning to have hurt him while mucking around. He glanced to the side and noticed a rock quite close to his head and gasped.

"Oh my god. Oh my god. Hongjoong," he cried out, quickly lifting the smaller boys head to feel for bumps or blood. Hongjoong realised in an instant that Seonghwa had started to panic a lot, more than Hongjoong meant for him to. He opened his eyes and sat up quickly.

"Joking Hwa, I was joking," he said quickly. Seonghwa let out a breath of relief and hugged him tightly. He had the urge to whack him and scold him but he knew he couldn't, given that they joke like this sometimes.

"There was a rock beside your head," Seonghwa whispered. Hongjoong glanced behind him and sighed before patting Seonghwa's head.

"I didn't hit it, I'm fine," Hongjoong said.

"Yeah, you're still an asshole," Seonghwa said, cuffing the back of Hongjoong's head.

"Hey, you're the one that started this little tradition," Hongjoong said with a frown.

"You know one day you're going to do that and I'm not going to believe you but you're going to actually be hurt and I'll just leave you to bleed out," Seonghwa said matter of factly, ignoring Hongjoong's previous statement.

"What, like the boy who cried wolf," Hongjoong asked.

"Yeah, like that. That was actually one of my favourite stories to read as a child," Seonghwa said, leaning back to rest his arms behind him.

"I can't say it was one of my favourites but I definitely read it a few times," Hongjoong said. Seonghwa turned his head to the side, glancing at Hongjoong who was sitting beside him still. Hongjoong was looking out across the beach and at the water, not facing Seonghwa. His shirt was loose over his shoulder, dipping down to show his collar bones, his tanned skin gleaming in the sunlight, his blue hair framing his face nicely. Hongjoong glanced over at Seonghwa in confusion after he didn't say anything and frowned when he noticed how Seonghwa was just watching him with a soft smile.

"What're you doing? You look weird, stop staring at me," Hongjoong scoffed, looking away quickly as he felt his neck heat up.

"I just can't believe how gorgeous you are and that you're all mine," Seonghwa said softly, tilting his head slightly as he continued to look at Hongjoong. Hongjoong blushed completely at that, looking down shyly. God, he's Kim Hongjoong, the pirate king and he's getting shy like this. Seonghwa moved forwards and wrapped his arms around Hongjoong's waist, tugging him back so he was sitting between his legs.

"All mine," Seonghwa whispered in his ear, snaking his arms tighter around Hongjoong's waist. Hongjoong smiled softly and leant back against his chest, relaxing in his hold.

"My beautiful little pirate boy," Seonghwa murmured, placing a soft kiss to Hongjoong's neck. Hongjoong shivered slightly at the praise, feeling happy inside and let out a soft giggle.

"You flatter me too much Hwa," he said quietly.

"No I don't, I should compliment you more if anything," Seonghwa said with a sigh.

"You compliment me enough my darling," Hongjoong said, patting Seonghwa's thigh softly. They both just sat there for a while, curled up against each other and watching the water. After a while Seonghwa sighed and placed his chin on Hongjoong's shoulder.

"If we don't go now, we're never going to go to the cave," he said quietly.

"I know, but you're so comfortable. This is your fault you know," Hongjoong replied back. Seonghwa just hummed and rocked them side to side slightly.

"Ok we really need to go," Seonghwa said, standing up abruptly. Hongjoong chuckled but stood up as well and held his hand. Seonghwa grabbed it immediately and they walked off.

~~~~~
They eventually made it to the cave with the rock pool. They took off their shirts, shoes and socks and Hongjoong took off his sword before they both slipped inside. It was nice and warm so they spent a couple of hours just swimming around and having fun.
"Hey Hwa look, I have a mohawk," Hongjoong said with a giggle. Seonghwa turned around and cracked up laughing as he saw how Hongjoong had styled his wet hair up into a point.
"You are such a dork," Seonghwa said, swimming over and slipping his hands over to hold Hongjoong's waist. He quickly dug his fingers into Hongjoong's side, making him burst out laughing. He writhed slightly in Seonghwa hold but he tightened his grip and continued to tickle him. Hongjoong eventually managed to turn around and wrap his arms around Seonghwa's shoulder and dunk them both down below the water. Seonghwa let him go and tried to swim up but Hongjoong held them down. Seonghwa has gotten better with water over the years but he still sometimes gets trigger. He lasted a few more seconds before he started to get a little bit anxious and quickly tapped Hongjoong's wrist. The second Hongjoong felt the taps on his wrist, he quickly moved his hands to Seonghwa's waist and quickly kicked them back to the surface. Seonghwa took a deep breath as soon as he could and relaxed.
"You ok," Hongjoong asked softly, brushing Seonghwa's hair from sticking to his face.
"Of course," Seonghwa said, smiling softly at the concern from his boyfriend.
"You sure? I didn't mean to hold you down for too long," Hongjoong said worriedly.
"I'm fine Hongjoong, I promise," Seonghwa said softly. Hongjoong let out a breath of relief and pecked Seonghwa's lips softly. He pulled back a little bit before moving closer again, wrapping his hands around Seonghwa's waist and kissing him properly. Seonghwa responded immediately but in doing that they stopped swimming and both went back under the water, inhaling some water. They both swam back up quickly, coughing and spluttering while laughing at their stupidity.
"Maybe we should go over to the rocks before we do that," Hongjoong said with a chuckle.
"That would probably be smart. We shall not speak about those event ever again," Seonghwa said seriously.
"Come on," Hongjoong said, grabbing Seonghwa's wrist and tugging him with him as he swum over to the rocks. He pulled Seonghwa around and pushed him back onto the rocks lightly, making sure not to hurt him in doing so. Seonghwa just smiled and held out his arms to which Hongjoong immediately crawled over.
"Hi," he whispered, wrapping his hands around Seonghwa's neck and resting his forehead against his.
"Hey," Seonghwa said quickly, placing his hands on Hongjoong's waist softly.
"You know I love you right," Hongjoong whispered.
"Of course, I love you too," Seonghwa said.
"I'm sorry we argued the other day and that I got so angry at you," Hongjoong said quietly.
"You aren't at fault for that. It's in the past and we've dealt with it ok," Seonghwa said softly. Hongjoong nodded quickly and Seonghwa tugged him closer so he was straddling his lap. Hongjoong bent down to kiss him again but there was a sudden cry of outrage and they both turned their head to see Mingi and Jongho standing near the entrance to the cave.
"I AM SCARRED FOR LIFE. MY EYES," Jongho yelled as he had his hands covering them. Hongjoong rolled his eyes at his theatrics but slid off of Seonghwa's lap and stood up, holding out a hand to help the older up as well.
"Mingi are they decent now or I am going to be scarred even worse," Jongho asked.
"We weren't even doing anything," Hongjoong said with frown.
"You were in his lap," Jongho yelled, keeping his eyes covered still.
"They're fine Jongho," Mingi said, trying not to laugh at the situation. Jongho slowly pulled his hands down, peaking out to be sure before removing them completely.
"We were cuddling, calm down," Hongjoong said.
"Yes, you were in his lap making out and that is definitely just cuddling," Jongho scoffed.
"We hadn't even gotten to the kissing part before you two interrupted," Hongjoong burst out. Seonghwa quickly elbowed him in the ribs lightly, making him go silent.
"Is dinner just about ready? Is that why you came to us," Seonghwa asked.
"Yeah Wooyoung finished cooking some stew and the fire is going. You guys have been here for about 3 hours," Mingi said.
"Alright we'll come back then," Seonghwa said. The two of them quickly left the water and went over to their clothes to put their shirts back on but carry their shoes. Hongjoong reached down to grab his shirt but froze and begun to panic as he realised it wasn't there. He stood up straight quickly and grabbed Seonghwa's wrist, tugging him close as he glanced around.
"I've got it. Though I do wonder how you were supposed to protect yourselves when the only weapon was sitting over here," Jongho said, lifting up the sword. Hongjoong frowned at that and snatched the sword from Jongho's hands.
"We were fine, no need to worry," Seonghwa said.
"Come on before the food gets cold," Mingi said. Together the four of them all walked back to where the others were already sitting around a fire. The sun was just beginning to set and they had brought out special logs for everyone to sit on.
"What's for dinner Youngie," Seonghwa asked as he moved to stand behind the younger and wrapped him up in a back hug. He already knew but he knows Wooyoung likes when people are interested in his cooking.
"I made stew," Wooyoung replied.
"Well it smells delicious," Seonghwa said, patting the top of Wooyoung's head softly. Wooyoung smiled happily at that before going over quickly to serve everyone their dinner. Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Mingi and Jongho all went and sat down, everyone receiving a bowl from Wooyoung.
"This is great Woo, thank you," Hongjoong said. Wooyoung smiled happily and quickly dug into the food once he realised that everyone was enjoying the food.
"So what were you two up to all day," San asked.
"Trust me, you do not want to know," Jongho replied quickly.
"That bad," Yeosang asked, crinkling his nose in disgust.
"Oh my god, we were not doing anything," Hongjoong snapped.
"We were swimming in the cave rock pool," Seonghwa said quickly before they could keep arguing.
"You three should go there to relax," he added, looking over at San. San smiled softly and gave him a quick nod in understanding. It's hard to get alone time on a ship with seven other people so it would be nice to just relax and have fun with Yeosang and Wooyoung, like old times.
~~~~~

After everyone had eaten, they all stayed sitting around the fire together, talking and having fun until it was time for bed. Hongjoong as the Captain chose to take the first shift of keeping watch, then it was Yunho and then it was Seonghwa's turn. Yunho woke up Seonghwa gently and he sat up slightly with a yawn, moving Hongjoong's head from his chest to rest in his lap.

"Your turn for watch Seonghwa. Are you going to be ok," Yunho asked.

"I'll be ok," Seonghwa said with a soft chuckle.

"He looks cute like that. It's rare to see him sleeping because he's always in his quarters," Yunho said softly. Seonghwa smiled and glanced down to where Hongjoong was sleeping soundly.

"I'm very lucky," Seonghwa whispered, brushing his hand through Hongjoong's head gently. Yunho chuckled lightly at that and nodded.

"I'm glad we found you. You've changed him so much, made him a much happier person," Yunho said.

"He was always happy with you guys, he loves you all so much. Get some sleep Yunnie, I've got watch," Seonghwa said. Yunho smiled softly before quickly moving over to where San was lying and lying beside him. He slipped an arm under the youngers head and San immediately curled over into his side in his sleep. Seonghwa shuffled over slowly, making sure not to wake Hongjoong and then leaned back to rest on a rock. The night was quiet except for the waves occasionally lapping against the shoreline and the light crackling of the fire and Seonghwa felt at peace. He grabbed Hongjoong's blanket and pulled it up higher on his body before resting his hand down on his shoulder, rubbing it softly with his thumb. Hongjoong let up a sigh in his sleep and curled closer to his head was buried in Seonghwa's stomach, one hand fisting the others pants. Seonghwa smiled fondly and continued to rub his shoulder while watching out at the ocean. It was silent for around half an hour before there was a noise and Seonghwa looked to the side quickly, his free hand dropping down to land on his sword. He relaxed though when he saw it was just Yeosang stirring and sitting up. Yeosang's hair was all over the place but he slowly reached up and pat it down as he yawned.

"What time is it," he asked quietly.

"Probably close to one or two in the morning," Seonghwa replied.

"Do you want to get some sleep? I probably won't be able to sleep for another hour or two," Yeosang said.

"Nah I'll be fine, I've only been up for about half an hour," Seonghwa replied. Yeosang nodded at that before getting up and moving over to sit next to him, leaning back against the large rock as well.

"Shall we discuss the worlds deepest, darkest secrets," he whispered, wiggling his eyebrows. Seonghwa chuckled lightly at that and shook his head.

"Actually there's something I've been meaning to ask you but I've never really found the right opportunity," Seonghwa said slowly.

"Yeah of course, ask away Quartermaster," Yeosang said with a grin.

"It's kind of personal Sang, you might not want to answer it," Seonghwa said seriously. Yeosang's joking tone slipped and he instantly knew what Seonghwa was referring to.

"I'm quite certain I know what you're referring to, but I would like you to ask first and I will answer," Yeosang said quietly.

"You don't have to answer," Seonghwa said quickly, worried he was overstepping.

"I already said it was ok Seonghwa, all you have to do is ask and I will answer," Yeosang said, smiling softly to assure him it was ok.

"What happened to you when you were a child. I've talked to Wooyoung and San about their childhood but they only ever told me bits and pieces, they told me to ask you for the rest," Seonghwa said softly.

"They are very protective over me," Yeosang said with a chuckle.

"I'm glad they are, it's nice," Seonghwa said with nod.

"I've known them almost my entire life you know. I've known Woo since we were three and Sannie since we were five," Yeosang said.

"I did know that. I think it's awesome what you guys have," Seonghwa said.

"I met Wooyoung when he moved in next door to me but I met San through him from just hanging out," Yeosang said.

"Is this where it gets bad," Seonghwa asked quietly.

"I'm not gonna lie, it kind of starts and ends bad up until Hongjoong got us out," Yeosang said with a sigh.

"Doesn't sound very promising but I already knew it was going to be something like that," Seonghwa said quietly.

"My mum died after giving birth to me, I guess that's where everything started," Yeosang said.

"I don't know how my dad was before mum died because you know, I wasn't alive, I only know how he was as I grew up. He used to drink a lot and he'd go out doing dodgy things around town. When he was home though, he wasn't a good person. He would beat me, regularly. I can't remember a week where I wouldn't get beaten at least two or three times, if not more," Yeosang said quietly. Seonghwa removed his hand from Hongjoong's shoulder and placed it in Yeosang's hand, squeezing softly.

"Did the boys know," Seonghwa asked.

"They vaguely knew up until we were seven because they saw me with bruises and stuff but it wasn't until a couple of weeks after Youngie's seventh birthday that they both properly caught on to what was happening," Yeosang explained, his eyes starting to water.

"They walked in on it happening didn't they," Seonghwa whispered. Yeosang clenched his eyes closed before nodding and opening them again. He grabbed his shirt and lifted it up to his chest, showing a scar on his ribcage.

"The door to the house didn't have any locks on it so the boys usually came around midday to come hang out. I planned it that way because dad would usually be gone in the morning. He wasn't this one morning and he seemed pretty intent on burning my skin with a cigarette," Yeosang said quietly. Seonghwa held back a gasp of outrage at that, not wanting to interrupt Yeosang.

"Wooyoung was this little weak seven year old but he ran at my dad and tried to protect me. San was a bit more equipped given that he grew up on the streets and he had some connections with pirates so when dad went after Wooyoung, San managed to knock him out by smashing a pot plant over his head. Wooyoung got hurt though, my dad had punched him and Wooyoung wasn't used to it so he was pretty scared and confused," Yeosang said as a tear slipped out.

"I'm so sorry that happened to you guys," Seonghwa whispered.

"Yeah it gets worse though. Once they found out, they did everything they could to help me out, they even found out that I wasn't getting fed probably and uh-. It might help mentioning that we didn't find out San was homeless until we turned 11," Yeosang said, wiping his eyes quickly.

"We didn't fucken know he was homeless and you know what he did. He used to bring me food to make sure I was fed. He brought me food. I thought he was bringing it from home, we thought he had a home and just came over to give me food. He spent over three years providing for me while he was homeless, having to do twice us much to try and get food for both of us and I never realised. Wooyoung would help out as well to give me clothes and stuff, they did everything they could to protect me but it couldn't change what was happening at home," Yeosang explained sadly, looking over at San who was sleeping peacefully against Yunho.

"Makes sense as to why they're so protective over you," Seonghwa said.

"How did you guys find out about San being homeless," Seonghwa asked. Yeosang chuckled weakly before the tears fell faster and he squeezed Seonghwa's hand tightly.

"We uh, we went to surprise him for his birthday. We followed him to what we though was his house on his 11th birthday, only it wasn't a house. It was this old cardboard box in an abandoned warehouse with and old pillow and blanket," Yeosang whispered. Seonghwa's heart clenched at the thought of how many years San spent living on the streets with no shelter or food, how young he was.

"We were shocked and confused and it really upset us after knowing what he had been going through behind the scenes. I was distraught when I realised how much he was giving up from what he already barely had to help me," Yeosang said.

"What did you guys do after that," Seonghwa asked.

"Wooyoung wanted San to stay with him but Wooyoung was having a tough time at home as well. He wasn't abused physically but it was clear his parents didn't want him and they neglected him but at least they gave him food and kept a roof over his head. We settled for San staying over once or twice a week or when he just really needed it," Yeosang explained.

"Is that how it stayed until you left," Seonghwa asked.

"Well, until San met Hongjoong. After they met, San told us about him but we didn't get the chance to meet him. San ended up going and staying at his a lot so as to not burden Wooyoung," Yeosang said.

"Sounds about right," Seonghwa said with a nod.

"The day we ended up leaving, was the worst day of my life I think. My dad was in a drunken rage and he attacked me, he tried to kill me. Wooyoung was next door and he heard so he came to try and protect me. He couldn't stop dad but he managed to hold him off until San got there. San was originally coming to hang out but he heard what was happening and fought with my dad. He ended up killing him actually," Yeosang whispered. Seonghwa was shocked but knew not to interrupt.

"San knew we needed to get out of there before someone found us so he dragged us to an alley that was on the safer side and promised he would fix everything. He left and came back with Hongjoong and then the rest is history," Yeosang finished with a sigh.

"You went through so much Yeosang," Seonghwa whispered. Yeosang smiled softly before leaning his head down on his shoulder.

"I know, but I found the best family I ever could in you guys," Yeosang whispered.

"I'm so glad you're here Yeosang. I love you so much," Seonghwa whispered.

"I love you too," Yeosang whispered. They sat cuddled together for a few minutes before Yeosang sat up.

"Do you mind if I occupy the other side of your lap to have a nap," he asked.

"Go ahead Sang," Seonghwa said softly. Yeosang went over to the other side and laid down, resting his head in Seonghwa's lap. He fell asleep feeling safe with his older brother running his fingers through his hair.

A/N

Here is Chapter 7 everyone, I hope you enjoyed it!

We had some nice Seongjoong moments in this chapter

And we had the much awaited, highly requested back story to the Woosansang back story. Let me know what you thought about it and if you had guessed any of it from hints throughout the stories.

Let me know what your favourite moments of this chapter were, I would love to hear them.
