Chapter 4

It took about 3 days for Seonghwa to recover enough and regain enough energy to be able to begin doing tasks throughout the ship. The boys from the crew were a massive help, much more than he was expecting. He didn't see much of Jongho but the young gunner would occasionally stop by to check in on him and make sure he was doing ok. He also didn't see Yunho much, only really when he left the med bay to eat his meals. Mingi came around to check on him a lot and even sometimes stayed a while to talk to him, let him know the different things he needed to when on the ship. San was surprisingly quite nice, not at all what he expected. When he first met him, he expected him to be mean and cold, judging from the intense glare he gave him the minute he walked into the med bay. But after Wooyoung said that he was fine, San turned into all smiles and dimples even though Seonghwa could tell he was tired. Most of San's time was spent navigating, sleeping or eating but he still made time to spend time with everyone and sometimes even came down for a quick nap beside Seonghwa's bed which he appreciated a lot. Yeosang and Wooyoung were his biggest help though, they're the two who made Seonghwa feel comfortable, feel safe. Yeosang barely left his side, always checking in to make sure he was doing alright. There were times where Seonghwa got scared but Yeosang was there to calm him down and let him know he was safe. Everyone was really accepting, nothing like he expected at all. Well, everyone except Hongjoong. Hongjoong made it clear from the very start that he didn't like Seonghwa and even though he's fine with him staying on the ship, he isn't happy about it. Whenever the Captain is around Seonghwa, he can see the glares he gives, the hint of anger in his eyes. It unsettles him and he's glad he isn't left alone in a room with him. The others rave about their Captain and about how kind he is but Seonghwa just doesn't see it. As it turns out, Seonghwa is the oldest out of all of them, Hongjoong being born the same year and everyone else but Jongho a year younger, Jongho being two years younger.

After those three days of rest, he was put to work. Yunho was the one that showed him around the ship, introduced him to the different places. The weapons room was kept locked and he wasn't allowed access to it. Apparently the Captain thought he was going to break in and try kill them all in their sleep. Seonghwa would never do that but this is one thing the Captain is doing that he can understand. After showing him the ship, Yunho then ran him through some jobs he would be doing on the ship. The main job was scrubbing the deck clean but he also took up cleaning the dishes for Wooyoung and helping Yeosang organise the med bay. It been almost 2 weeks since he was taken aboard the ship, the Illusion. He's still getting used to how things work, but these past 2 weeks have been the best of his in the past three years.

"Seonghwa, come here, I wanna show you something," San said, bounding over to Seonghwa who was sitting at the food table, deep in thought.

"What is it," Seonghwa asked in confusion. He still wasn't quite used to the boys boundless energy and bright nature.

"Have you ever been up to a crows nest," San asked him. Seonghwa blinked in surprise before slowly shaking his head.

"I wasn't really allowed out a lot so no, I haven't," he replied.

"Come with me then, I wanna show you," San said. His hand shot out to grab Seonghwa's uninjured one, making Seonghwa flinch back on instinct. San's heart broke at the flash of fear in Seonghwa's eyes but he didn't react, just left his hand out for him to grab. Yeosang told the others that if Seonghwa flinches or get's scared, not to react and just wait for him to properly recognize them and that they won't hurt him. Seonghwa felt guilty for flinching away, knowing San wasn't going to hurt him and he quickly slipped his hand into the navigators. San smiled and helped pull him to his feet, tugging him out of the food room.

"Do you go up the crows nest much," Seonghwa asked as they walked.

"When I have free time, yeah," San said with a nod.

"It's nice up there so I sometimes just climb up and sit down to clear my head. If someone ever tries to board Illusion though, I take position up there and I use my bow and arrow to take them out as they board. Or I sit up there when we board another ship until we're fully on, then I swing down and join the fun," San added.

"So, I'm gonna say you love being up there," Seonghwa said with a chuckle as they got to the bottom of the mast it was attatched to.

"Yeah, it's kind of great. You'll love it as well, just follow me," San said before he begun to climb. Seonghwa smiled and started to follow him, climbing up slower as he didn't want to jostle his wrist too much. When San got to the top, he climbed into the crows nest and grabbed onto the edge, looking down at Seonghwa as he continued to climb. When Seonghwa got close to the top, he held the edge with one hand and reached out with the other. Seonghwa grabbed it and San gently pulled him up, Seonghwa was a little puffed when he got into the crows nest so he sat down and leant back against it, drawing in a deep breath.

"You ok," San asked worriedly, noticing how out of breath the other boy looked. Seonghwa looked up and smiled softly at San.

"I'm fine Sannie. W-Wait, I'm sorry. I shouldn't hav-."

"You can call me Sannie if you want, I don't mind," San said softly, sitting beside Seonghwa. He slipped his arm around his waist and leaned into the tallers shoulder, letting out a breath.

"A-Are you sure, I don't wanna overstep," Seonghwa said quietly. He knows the boys are nice to him but that doesn't mean they're completely comfortable with him.

"It's fine Hwa," San said. Seonghwa turned his head at the nickname that fell from San's lips, his mouth parting slightly in surprise. He hadn't heard anyone use that nickname for him in so long, it sounded foreign to him. The nickname made him happy, so happy he couldn't even put it into words. Instead he leaned forwards quickly and wrapped his arms tightly around San, burying his head into his neck.

"Seonghwa, you ok," San asked worriedly, unsure why he had suddenly hugged him and hoping he hadn't upset him.

"I just, I haven't heard someone use that nickname in years," Seonghwa said quietly. San smiled and rubbed Seonghwa's back softly.

"It's cute. Are you ok with me using it," San asked gently. Seonghwa nodded quickly, pulling back from the embrace and smiling. San was relieved he hadn't upset him. Seonghwa glanced up to San's hair and smiled, reaching up to brush the blue strands of his hair back.

"Have I mentioned how cool your hair is? What made you just have a small patch of blue with your black hair," Seonghwa asked, pulling his hand back. San grinned, showing his dimples.

"Wooyoung actually. He had this crazy idea to dye the bottom half of his hair blond, like Yeosang's. He didn't want to do it alone so I let him dye part of mine a colour. There was some blue dye left over from when Hongjoong used to have blue hair," San replied with a shrug. Seonghwa blinked in surprise at the new information.

"The Captain dyed his hair? And blue of all colours," he asked in surprise.

"Yeah. Hongjoong's real hair colour is black, like most of ours. He's had a few different colours. It was red for a bit, then blue but he's had brown for a few years now and he's grown it out," San replied. Seonghwa nodded, not having expected the Captain to be so interested in dying his hair.

"Have you ever thought of dying your hair," San asked the older.

"Not really. Perhaps one day though," Seonghwa said with a shrug.

"When you decide you want to, I'll dye it for you," San said. Seonghwa paused and glanced at the navigator in confusion.

"It might be a few months or years before I decide I want to," Seonghwa said quietly.

"That's fine. I can wait," San said with a shrug. Seonghwa was even more confused at his words.

"How long does it take before you guys dock somewhere again," he asked.

"I'm not sure really. It depends on where we're heading but usually every couple of months because we need to restock on food. We'll be docking in about a month at Port Arland. Why," San asked, unsure why Seonghwa was suddenly asking about docking at a town. Did Seonghwa want to leave them? It would make sense he guesses, because Seonghwa barely knows them. But he'd thought they had formed a connection, that perhaps he might want to stay with them, join their crew.

"I um, I just thought that, you know, your Captain would want gone as soon as possible," Seonghwa said quietly. San frowned and thought over his words. It makes sense that he would think that, given how Hongjoong has been acting. San doesn't actually know why Hongjoong is still being so icy but Hongjoong can be as protective over the crew that he and Wooyoung are over Yeosang.

"Hongjoong won't make you leave, not if we want you here and we do want you here," San said firmly. It warmed Seonghwa's heart that the others cared enough about him to want him to remain with them, even if he's only know them for a few weeks and hasn't really done much.

"But if he wants me gone, he's the Captain and he can just say he wants me gone," Seonghwa said with a sigh.

"It doesn't work like that Seonghwa. Surely you've noticed that we don't operate like that. Yes Hongjoong is the Captain and he makes the orders. Most of those we all follow but if we disagree, we still have a say. If majority of us disagree, which doesn't happen much but for this it definitely will, if that happens then Hongjoong will rethink his decision. He'll let you stay if we want you to. But that's assuming he'll want you gone, which he was hasn't mentioned once," San assured him.

"Are you sure," Seonghwa asked quietly.

"If you want to stay Seonghwa, we'll let you stay. You've been to hell and back in the last few years and you deserve to be safe somewhere. You've done nothing wrong since you got here, nothing that would make us not trust you so you're fine. You're a good person Seonghwa," San said softly. Seonghwa gave San a smile of appreciation.

"Now, no more being down in the dumps and worrying about what probably won't happen. Stand up and look at how cool the view from here is," San said happily. He jumped to his feet and grabbed onto the mast with a good grip, leaning out to the side happily. He used to give Hongjoong a panic attack when he did this but it's fun and he loves hanging there and feeling the wind in his hair.

"Hwa, come look at the view," he said in excitement. Seonghwa glanced at the younger boy, seeing the pure happiness and excitement on his face and smiled fondly. Seonghwa stood up quickly, grabbing onto the mast to hold himself steady and glancing at San again.

"Don't look at me Seonghwa, look at the horizon. Look at the sky, the sun, the water, it's beautiful," San said when he noticed Seonghwa watching him. Seonghwa rolled his eyes but turned slightly and looked out to see the view. He expected the warm, shining sun and the sparkling blue water. What he didn't expect, was the panic that hit him full force within seconds. He's mentioned his fear of the water, but he hasn't had an incident on the ship. Seeing the water though, all of the water, the endless water stretching across the horizon. It made him realise just how close he could be to dying. Just one slip on deck and he could fall overboard and drown. These boys don't know he can't swim, they won't try to save him. San heard heavy breathing and he paused, glancing at Seonghwa in confusion. His eyes were wide and his face was pale, his chest rising and falling rapidly with his breathing.

"Seonghwa. What's wrong," he asked quickly, pulling himself back in so he was no longer hanging. Seonghwa startled and turned to look at him, his heart racing. He needs to get out of here, he needs to get away. He whimpered and shook his head quickly, fear running through his veins. He needs to get away. He stumbled back quickly, wanting to get away from the edge. What he didn't account for in his frazzled mind, was the fact that the other edge was only a few steps back. He was moving to quickly and when he hit the edge, he tripped.

"Hwa," San yelped, lunging forwards as Seonghwa's body went over the edge of the crows nest. His hand enclosed around the elders wrist, thankfully not his injured wrist and he clung tightly. Seonghwa's entire body was hanging over the edge of the crows nest, the only thing stopping him from plunging to the deck below was San's grip on his wrist. San felt fear shoot through his body as he clung as tight as he could, tucking his foot into the railing to stop himself from falling over with Seonghwa. He wouldn't let him fall, but he can't hold him for long and he can't pull him back up. He needs help, and he needs it fast.

"HONGJOONG. HONGJOONG HELP!"

Hongjoong was by the helm, having given San an extra break for a bit so he could spend time with the boys a bit more. He was watching out across the water, nice and relaxed when he heard San's scream.

"HONGJOONG. HONGJOONG HELP!" Hongjoong spun around quickly, his eyes wide as fear shot through him. One of his boys were in trouble, one of them were hurt. He scanned the deck rapidly but he couldn't see San anywhere, so he looked up, knowing the younger enjoyed sitting in the crows nest. His heart stopped when he noticed the boy hanging over the edge of the crows nest.

"HONGJOONG," San screamed again, his grip slipping slightly. Hongjoong ripped off his coat and ran forwards, jumping down the steps before getting to the main mast. He jumped immediately, climbing the rope ladder as quick as he could.

"Hongjoong, hurry," San yelled. Hongjoong quickened his pace, getting three quarters of the way before pausing. His scanned over the situation, trying to figure out the best course of action.

"San, drag him across as close to the post as you can," Hongjoong said quickly. He was referring to the post that would block him from moving Seonghwa all the way to the ladder, it may however, get him close enough to swing him slightly drop him to Hongjoong.

"What? Why? Just help me pull him up," San yelled, his hand beginning to slip slightly.

"San, pull him over," Hongjoong said sternly. San bit his lip before drawing in his strength and moving over until his shoulder hit the post.

"We're here, now hurry up and help me," San said quickly.

"Swing him my way and drop him," Hongjoong said quickly.

"What? Why the hell would I do that," San asked.

"Just do it San. I will catch him," Hongjoong said.

"That is so stupid. Hongjoong just help me drag him up. PLEASE," San yelled, his eyes welling up with tears. If he drops Seonghwa, it's a 30m drop and he's dead.

"Joongie, I can't hold him," he sobbed out, his hand slipping more, barely holding on. He could tell Seonghwa was out of it, probably didn't even realise what was happening. He didn't mean to scare him, he didn't mean for this to happen.

"Sannie, look at me," Hongjoong said quickly. San did as asked, his teary eyes meeting Hongjoong's firm ones.

"I know you're scared for him, but I won't let him die. Swing him towards me and drop him, that is an order Choi San," Hongjoong said determinedly. San cursed himself internally before steeling himself. He rocked Seonghwa slightly, getting him closer towards the ladder Hongjoong was on before he let his hand slip. Hongjoong clutched tightly to the ladder with one hand, letting go with the other. He watched Seonghwa dropped, his focus zoned in entirely on his wrist, where he needed to grab or else the other was as good as dead. He knew it was going to hurt, catching something falling that quickly and that heavy is going to hurt him and most likely hurt him bad but it's better than Seonghwa dying. He latched on to the boys wrist as soon as he could, bracing himself as Seonghwa continued falling. Once his arm extended, it brought Seonghwa to an abrupt stop and Hongjoong heard a pop from his shoulder, a searing hot pain shooting through his body, making him cry out. He relented though and pulled Seonghwa up, into his eyes, biting his lip hard enough to draw blood to try and hold back the pain. Seonghwa's arms wrapped around his neck and it was only then that he realised the other boy was sobbing. His head tucked into his neck and Hongjoong froze at the action. If he wasn't 20m in the air, he most likely would've shoved him off but right now, his main priority was getting him to safety.

"Hold on, and do not let go," he said quickly. He wasn't sure if Seonghwa heard but his grip tightened so he assumed he did. The pain in his shoulder was blinding but he wouldn't be the Captain if he couldn't handle a little pain. He grit his teeth and begun to climb down, hoping that Seonghwa's grip around his neck was stable and he wouldn't let go. Hongjoong couldn't hold him as well as climb, so if Seonghwa let go, he would fall. It hurt his neck, but he would live. He continued to climb, his vision fuzzing as the pain got worse but he didn't stop. He doesn't know how long he was climbing for before he finally got to the ground. His feet hit the ground and his legs gave out, sending them crashing to the floor. Seonghwa was still sobbing and his grip didn't loosen around Hongjoong's neck. He needed to let go, he needed to get away because his vision was blurring more and he felt like he was going to hurl.

"Park let go," he gasped out. Breathing deeply to try and dull down some of the pain. Seonghwa didn't move, didn't even seem to hear him.

"Park fucken let go," he yelled, shoving at him hard with his uninjured arm. The force of it flung Seonghwa back, finally making him let go.

"Hongjoong, what the hell," San yelled getting to the bottom of the ladder and running over to Seonghwa sides. Seonghwa was sobbing so he quickly, pulled him into his arm to soothe him as best as he could. He looked over at Hongjoong who was still sat over where he first landed and he glared. There were loud, hurried footsteps and then the other all ran out onto the deck.

"What the hell happened," Yeosang asked quickly.

"We heard yelling," Wooyoung added, hurrying over to San's side and patting Seonghwa's back softly.

"Seonghwa fell over the edge of the crows nest but I caught him and Hongjoong helped me get him down. But then Hongjoong yelled at him and threw him off when Seonghwa was scared and wanted comfort," San said angrily. He knows Hongjoong is wary, but he took it too far.

"Seriously Joong. We know you hate him but he was scared," Yunho said with a sigh. He's supposed to rein Hongjoong in when he goes too far, that's his job.

Hongjoong could barely hear what they were saying. He knew they were talking, but his ears felt blocked, like he was underwater. His entire body felt like it was on fire, yet he was shivering and felt chilled to the bone. He tried to move his right arm but now that the boys were no longer in danger, he had no adrenaline to go off of and even a slight movement made the pain triple. The pain was unbearable but he took deep breaths to try to keep himself conscious. He needed to just breathe through the pain and it would be ok.

-----

Seonghwa barely even registered what was happening until his feet hit the deck. They were numb, so he fell and the only thing he could think to do was cling tighter to the body holding on to him. They were warm and they were comforting, so he wanted them closer. They said something to him but he was still trying to calm down from his panic and couldn't focus. He snapped back into focus though when he was shoved and fell onto his back. He was still sobbing from the shock of what happened but his mind cleared. It was Hongjoong. Hongjoong was the one he was clinging to, the one who got him down, who saved his life. San was by his side within seconds and hugging him tightly in his arms. He clung to him and continued to cry but his eyes drifted back to Hongjoong. Something was wrong, something felt off. Hongjoong is usually poised and strong, looking as intimidating as a Captain can be. And that's pretty intimidating. Right now though, Hongjoong was sitting down, his legs extended and his body propped up with his left arm. His eyes were downcast and he looked tense. Seonghwa focused in on his chest, analysing his breathing pattern. It was laboured, he was taking deep shuddering breaths, like he was trying to keep calm. Something was definitely off. He vaguely registered that others had arrived but he didn't focus on that. He thought back to what happened, how he got to Hongjoong and how he got down. San had caught him when he fell. But then he was moving slightly, then San let go. Why did San let go? Hongjoong he, he caught him, he caught him mid drop. Seonghwa's eyes went wide as he remembered the flash of pain cross Hongjoong's face when he had caught him and he realised what happened. He didn't push Seonghwa away because he didn't want to be near him, he pushed him because he was in pain. Catching someone like that no doubt caused him to dislocate his shoulder, one of the most painful injuries Seonghwa had heard of. When dislocating a shoulder, you can't move your arm without being in unbearable pain. Hongjoong just half carried him down a ladder.

"Oh my god," he gasped.

"It's ok Seonghwa, we'll deal with our Capt-." Seonghwa cut San off by shoving him away and stumbling over to Hongjoong. He quickly placed his second and middle finger against Hongjoong's neck to check his pulse. Hongjoong barely even reacted, which worried Seonghwa even more. His body was shaking slightly as he was shivering, most likely from the pain he was in.

"Seonghwa, what're you doing," Mingi asked. Seonghwa didn't pay him any mind, sniffling and wiping his arms with his free hand and waiting to find the pulse. Once he felt it, he cursed internally as it was quick, really quick.

"Captain is it your right shoulder," he asked quickly but Hongjoong didn't react.

"His shoulder? What's wrong," Yeosang asked quickly.

"Hongjoong," Seonghwa yelled. Hongjoong's head snapped up at the yell and his pain filled eyes met Seonghwa's. Seonghwa has only ever seen a few emotions in his eyes, none of which remotely resembled pain.

"Is it your shoulder," Seonghwa asked, loudly and clearly. Something in Hongjoong's eyes broke and he let out a sob.

"It hurts," he whimpered.

"Someone run down to the med bay and get a first aid kit and make sure there are scissors," Seonghwa said quickly. Mingi spun around and ran off.

"What is it? I'm the medic, I need to help him," Yeosang said quickly, kneeling beside them.

"I'm pretty sure he dislocated his shoulder when he caught me," Seonghwa said, turning to look at him. San froze in shock, instantly feeling guilty for berating Hongjoong, who just saved Seonghwa's life. Yeosang's eyes went wide at Seonghwa's words and he looked over at Hongjoong. He's the medic, he's supposed to help them when they're hurt. He can save them from stab wounds, beatings, head injuries. He just, he doesn't know how to treat a dislocated shoulder.

"What're you going to do," Seonghwa asked Yeosang.

"I um," Yeosang paused, looking back over at Hongjoong. The Captain was clearly in pain, his face pale and sweating, his entire body shaking slightly.

"Guys, I don't know how to treat a dislocated shoulder. I um, I studied for like stabbings and other pirate related injuries, I didn't. I didn't learn about dislocations," Yeosang rushed out. Hongjoong let out a sob at his words, not wanting to continue on with his pain.

"I did, I've got this," Seonghwa said quickly, quelling their worries quickly.

"I've got it," Mingi yelled, running back with the first aid kit.

"Just put it here," Seonghwa said, placing it beside him. Yeosang shuffled back to get out of his way. Seonghwa opened the bag and rummaged through until he found the scissors, turning back to Hongjoong.

"P-Park. If I, if I die, I'm gonna k-kill you," Hongjoong gasped out.

"It's a dislocation. It may feel like you're dying, but you won't. You can continue glaring at me all day long after this," Seonghwa said with a sigh. He moved forwards and gently begun cutting through Hongjoong's shirt to peel it back and see his shoulder. He gently dragged it down, trying to see the shoulder but decided to just cut it off completely to make it easier.

"Yeosang, help me get this off," Seonghwa said quickly. Yeosang nodded and peeled the shirt off once Seonghwa cut it enough.

"Oh my god," Jongho gasped when they saw Hongjoong's shoulder. It didn't look normal, it looked almost square.

"It's fine, he's going to be fine. Yeosang, does the kit have pain medication," Seonghwa asked.

"I d-don't need it," Hongjoong gasped out.

"Captain trust me on this, you're going to need pain medication. You think you're in pain now, wait for the few seconds when I pop it back in. I wouldn't be surprised if you pass out," Seonghwa said quickly. Yeosang rummaged through before pulling out some pills.

"Not a pill, a needle," Seonghwa said quickly. Yeosang nodded and grabbed it, handing it to Seonghwa.

"Keep your left arm where it is Captain. I need to inject this into your vein so don't flinch," Seonghwa said.

"O-Ok," Hongjoong replied. Seonghwa had to hand it to him, he really was strong to have not passed out yet. He leant down to look for Hongjoong's vein which was quite easy since the veins on his arms were very prominent. He injected the pain relief in before pulling the syringe out again.

"It will take a few minutes, but you'll feel some relief," Seonghwa said. As he said it, he noticed Hongjoong's head dropping slightly and he quickly caught it.

"Captain," he asked worriedly. Did he pass out.

"I'm ok. J-Just in a lot of pain," Hongjoong replied shakily.

"Joong. Joong, I'm so sorry for getting angry at you," San said guilty, his eyes watering slightly as he saw the Captain in pain.

"T-Tell Sannie, it's ok," Hongjoong panted out quietly.

"He says it's fine San," Seonghwa said quickly. He watched and waited patiently for any sigh that the pain reliever kicked in. He and Hongjoong weren't friends but the Captain just saved his life and he's the reason he's like this and he doesn't want him to be in any more pain. He noticed the second Hongjoong's left shoulder untensed slightly.

"Less pain," he asked quickly.

"A little," Hongjoong replied quietly.

"Ok. Yeosang, get a sling. Jongho sit behind him and help him sit up straight," Seonghwa said. They both nodded and did as asked.

"Go slow Jongho," Seonghwa added. Jongho placed his hand on the sides of Hongjoong's chest and slowly moved him to sit straight, not leaning on his hand. Hongjoong clenched his eyes closed as pain shot through his body again but he didn't let any cries of pain out.

"Ok. I'm gonna pop your shoulder back into place Captain and it's gonna hurt so brace yourself," Seonghwa said. Hongjoong peeled his eyes open and glared up at him.

"I'm already in pain, just do it so it stop," he said. Seonghwa let out a deep breath before grabbing the injured arms wrist and placed his other hand on the side of his chest.

"Ok. On the count of three. One, two, three," Seonghwa said quietly before pulling Hongjoong's arm forward. There was a pop and Hongjoong cried out in anguish. His vision blurred before going black. Jongho gasped when Hongjoong fell backwards, slipping his arm around his waist and letting him fall back into his chest. Hongjoong's head rested on his shoulder and he breathed heavily. Jongho quickly brushed the hair from his sweaty forehead in concern.

"Did he pass out," Seonghwa asked quietly. Hongjoong reluctantly peeled his eyes open and lifted his head.

"Y-You wish," he choked out. Seonghwa was once again caught off-guard and he had no idea how the Captain was still conscious.

"How does it feel now," he asked worriedly. If it didn't work, then that's really bad. He just hopes it did so he doesn't have another reason to hate him. Hongjoong blinked over at him slowly before sighing.

"You did it. It h-hurts, but the pain went down," Hongjoong replied, tiredly flopping his head back down on Jongho's shoulder. Seonghwa let out a breath of relief and turned to Yeosang.

"Brace his arm please. It worked but it's best to keep in place for a while," he said. Yeosang nodded and made quick work of bracing Hongjoong's arm.

"Is that good? Is there anything else we need to do," Yeosang asked worriedly. He couldn't help Hongjoong, so he wants to do everything he possibly can to make sure he's ok.

"No, not really. He just needs to be taken to his room and left there to rest," Seonghwa replied.

"See, I'm all good," Hongjoong said, looking over at Yeosang and giving him a small smile.

"I'm sorry I couldn't help. I just, I didn-."

"It's ok Sang, I'm ok," Hongjoong assured him quickly. Yeosang let out a breath but nodded.

"San, Sannie. I need you to navigate again ok. Get us back on course. I'm fine and you did nothing wrong," Hongjoong said quickly. San sniffled but nodded and hurried off to the helm.

"Jongho, can you gently carry him to his quarters," Seonghwa asked. Jongho nodded and delicately placed Hongjoong into his arms and stood, carrying him bridal style. Seonghwa followed him as he carried him to his quarters, opening the door for him. Jongho then went over to his bed and placed him down gently.

"What else do I need to do," he asked.

"I've got it from here," Seonghwa replied quickly. Jongho nodded and left.

"I need you to take my shoes off, they're dirty," Hongjoong said, leaning back against his pillows. Seonghwa nodded and did as asked, placing them neatly at the foot of the bed once they were off. He then walked over and made sure Hongjoong was resting properly before covering him with a blanket.

"Make sure you don't move your arm to much for the next few hours. I'll come back and check on it later," Seonghwa said. Hongjoong glanced at him before nodding curtly.

"And um, thank you. I'm pretty sure you saved my life," Seonghwa said with a sigh, thinking back to the fall. Hongjoong frowned and leant back more, his eyes running over the boy in front of him. The boy who almost caused him to have his arm ripped off.

"I did it for San," he said curtly.

"I know," Seonghwa replied quietly.
