Wooyoung ~Sasaeng~ [Part 2]

Wooyoung's POV

It's been two weeks since I told San about the letters I was receiving and thankfully things have calmed down after that. I haven't received anymore letters from the person which has put me more at ease but that's due to the fact that we've got our security doubled at all times, even the security at the company and added measures around our dorm. We were advised by our security that they have spotted a suspicious person a few times wearing a black hoodie and have found a couple letters left outside buildings but they were all promptly disposed of. It's reassuring to have the added security, especially to hear that they were doing their job well. Things had really calmed down and do that I was thankful for, though Seonghwa and Hongjoong still go around every night and make sure all the windows and doors are locked securely. It's odd to see Hongjoong home early so many nights in a row and I felt bad for causing that but he told me it wasn't my fault and that it makes him feel at ease for my safety. According to him, until the person is found, our guard should not be let down. He may be a little bit paranoid given we have more security and they're doing their job really well but it makes him be more at ease and I would be lying if I said it didn't comfort me as well.

All our constant practice has lead up to our tour but before that begins, we still have a music show to perform in. We were all in our dressing room, getting ready for the performance that was coming up soon, getting our styling and makeup done. It can get a little restless in the dressing room while waiting for our turn to perform which means we tend to have some fun. That brings us to now, I was bored and wanted some fun which set my sights on our maknae.

"Oh makdoongie," I sung as I made my way over to Jongho who was sitting on the table scrolling through his phone. He glanced up at me and his eyes widened, taking on a defensive stance immediately. His phone was placed on the table as he jumped up, his hands raising in an instant.

"What're you doing Hyung," he asked with a frown. I gasped in mock surprise, my hand laying over my chest.

"Why are you so distrusting Jjongie," I said with a pout, skipping closer to him but he just backed up more.

"Nuh uh, don't come near me. I know exactly what you're doing," Jongho said.

"And what exactly is that, please do tell. I'm just trying to come talk with my beautiful maknae," I said sweetly.

"Hyungs, Wooyoung Hyung is trying to do something to me," Jongho called out.

"Wooyoung, leave the baby alone," Seonghwa said, glancing back from where he was gently touching up Hongjoong's makeup.

"I haven't even done anything," I said with a huff.

"Doesn't matter, leave your brother alone," Hongjoong said. I pouted and looked back over to Jongho who just narrowed his eyes at me, his hands still held up.

"Youngie, come play with me if you're bored," San called out. That got my attention and I instantly spun back around, bounding over to him. I always worry that I may annoy the boys but they're all used to my extra energy before shows. San was sitting on the couch so I quickly jumped on top of him and instinctively bent down, latching my jaw around his shoulder. He jolted slightly but chuckled and pat my head as I let go and relaxed against him, nuzzling my head into San's neck.

"You need to stop biting people you know," he said softly.

"Never," I said with a giggle.

"Guys be careful, you don't want to crinkle your clothes before the performance," Hongjoong called out. Right, that's probably a smart idea of what not to do. I sighed before peeling myself off San and instead sitting down beside him. I was already beginning to get a little restless but San squashed that immediately as he pulled out his phone and brought up tiktok for us to watch. We sat like that for a little bit until Hongjoong clapped his hands to gain everyone's attention.

"We've got five minutes until we're due to go up so let's get our head in the game. Phones down and make sure you're all ready to go," he said. That kicked us all into action as we got up and started to do some stretches to warm up. Yeosang came over to beside me and we did a few stretches together while Yunho finished getting his hair fixed up by our stylist. As I was doing my stretches, I realised I needed to go to the toilet but it was far too late for that so I decided to just hold it anyway. The door to the room opened not long after and a venue staff stepped in.

"ATEEZ, it's time to come up," he said.

"Alright, let's go," Hongjoong called out and we all made our way out of the room, heading down the hall towards the stage.

The performance was amazing, it went off without a hitch and it was exhilarating. We did three songs and we could hear Atiny cheering loudly from the crowd which really spurred us on. There was a moment during one song where my shoe got caught on a loose floorboard but I was able to mask it well and recovered without issue. It definitely worried Mingi who saw it though as he gave a quick but discreet check in and I nodded to signal I was fine. We were all chatting and bouncing with adrenaline as we left the stage and heading below into the halls to go back to our room. I wrapped my arm around Yeosang's neck as we walked and the older wrapped his arms around my waist and pressed a kiss to my hair. I was shocked at the action but made sure not to show it. Yeosang is not big on physical affection but sometimes in moments like these when he's high on adrenaline that he sometimes does things without even realising. If that happens, it's best not to mention it. We stumbled down the halls with giggles as we tripped into the dressing room.

"Alright you two, try not to accidentally injure each other getting in the door," Seonghwa chuckled as he stabilised me. Yeosang and I let go of each other and went over to our bags to start wiping down our sweat on our bodies. It was as I started to calm down and the adrenaline left, that I realised how busting I was to go to the toilet. We have about 20 to 30 minutes until we're supposed to head out to our seats for the rest of the show. That should give me enough time to run to the toilets and get dressed after. I quickly shrugged off my jacket before taking off my tight pants and slipping on a pair of shorts, leaving me in the shorts and a tank top. I quickly jogged over to Hongjoong who had taken off his shirt and was towelling down his torso.

"Hongjoong Hyung," I said, gaining his attention. He turned to me and raised his eyebrows up at what I was wearing most likely as we had proper suits to change into.

"What's up," he asked.

"I am literally going to pee my pants in the next few minutes so can I duck to the toilets," I asked, making him roll his eyes.

"First of all, TMI Young-ah and secondly, you don't have to ask to go to the toilet. Just tell me where you're going," he told me.

"Thanks," I said happily, cheekily slapping his back and making him yelp. I ran from the room before he could retaliate or scold me. I chuckled and walked through the halls to where I vaguely remembered the toilets were. It took a few minutes and I'm pretty sure I took a wrong turn but eventually, I turned right into a hall and grinned in triumph as I saw the sign for the toilets. I quickened my pace to the toilets and slipped inside. I did my business, feeling instant relief before washing my hands thoroughly. The driers they had were one of those suction kind of ones and I grinned to myself as I brought my hands in and out of them, watching my skin ripple. I may have gotten a little carried away for a minute or two but when I realised, I reluctantly tugged my hands away, though I was happy they were fully dry. I left the bathroom and walked down the hall, pausing at the turn as I realised I may have forgotten the path I took to get here. I thought back and remembered I had turned right so I quickly right and walked briskly down the hall. I need to pick up the pace cos I don't want the others waiting even though there's probably still about 15 to 20 minutes left until we need to head out.

I continued through the halls quickly, trying to remember my earlier path but it became pretty clear to me a few minutes later that I was lost. Curse these venues for being so big, they're like mazes. I groaned to myself and ran my hand through my hair in frustration as I stopped in the middle of the hall and spun around a few times to try and get my bearings. As I was doing that, I heard footsteps from behind me, back the way I came. I spun around quickly, hoping to get some help to figure out how to get back to the room. When I turned, I saw someone at the end of the hall, turned to their back to me. They were wearing sweatpants and a black hoodie so I let out a breath of relief as I realised this must be a staff member from the venue.

"Um, excuse me. Sorry, I'm a little lost. I went to the toilets and got turned around trying to get back to my dressing room. I'm from ATEEZ, do you happen to know how to get back to our room or even just the main room," I called out as I made my way over to them. They didn't respond right away and I frowned in confusion as I continued walking over to them. Maybe they just didn't hear me.

"Excuse me," I called out again. This finally gained their attention and they turned to me, making me instantly freeze the couple of metres away from them I was. I couldn't see what the person looked like as there was a red mask covering their face. My stomach dropped and I begun to think this was not a good idea to stop by this person. Their head tilted and they stepped closer to me, making my heart leap into my throat. Yeah this was a very bad idea. I stumbled back and turned around to try and run off down the hall. I'm fast, I can definitely outrun this person but I didn't get the chance to as I only got one step before I was grabbed.

Their hand wrapped around my arm and I was swung around like a rag doll and smashed into the wall. I cried out as pain flared through my head and shoulder as they connected with the wall. It disorientated me but I turned around, trying to shove the man away as hard as I could. It didn't work at all and the man instead half lifted me up and slammed me down to the ground on my back. I screamed out, tears instantly falling down my face as pain flared through my back. I've had back problems in the past and this really wasn't good for it. I tried to get up but their hand went onto my chest and I was slammed back to the ground. It was then that it fully sunk in that I wouldn't be able to get away by myself, there was no chance. This person seemed to be like three times the size of me.

"HELP. SOMEONE HELP. PLEASE HELP," I screamed out.

"GET THE FUCK OFF ME," I yelled, at him between my tears.

"You're mine, you hear me. Mine. No one else can take you, you're mine." I deflated at that, my blood running cold as I started sobbing. This isn't just some random person, this is my sasaeng. I was stupid enough to go off along and practically given myself to this stalker. Unknowingly but still stupid.

"Stop it, please stop," I sobbed.

"HELP. PLEASE HE-."I yelped as he suddenly slapped my face, the force causing my head to snap to the side. I whimpered again, the tears continuing to stream down my face. I tried to wiggle my body free from his grip, though I knew it was pointless as he was so much stronger than me. I cursed myself for never agreeing to go to the gym with Yeosang when he asked me to come. Maybe if I had been going with him things would be different and I wouldn't be like a helpless little ragdoll. The man moved around slightly so he was sitting on top of me to pin me down. He moved his hand from my chest to his pocket, fiddling around slightly before he pulled it out with an object. My eyes landed on it and I sobbed out again.

"N-No, please don't, please don't hurt me," I cried as I eyed the knife he had in his hand.

"You left me no choice Wooyoung. You didn't listen to me. You were cheating and I have to teach you a lesson. This is for your own good my love," he crooned. What the fuck? I desperately wanted to yell at him, to tell him he was delusional and there was no way I would ever be with someone like him. However I would like to think I have a least a tiny bit of survival skills. Not much clearly but there's still something there.

"Please don't," I begged.

"I won't let another man mark you," he muttered, making my veins run cold. I was confused, not understanding what he was talking about. It became pretty clear a few seconds later as he pinned my chest down again while he shuffled down to sit on my legs and the hand with the knife pulled up the bottom of my pant leg, exposing my Amicus Ad Aras tattoo. No.

"Oh my god, no. No please don't. Don't, you can't," I begged desperately. I have a few tattoos but they all have deep meaning for me, they bring me comfort and they're a part of me.

"Shut up. I will not let my husband have another mans mark on his body. I won't. Much less that stupid whores-."

"Don't you dare call Sannie a whore you bastard," I snapped angrily before I could stop myself. I was terrified, sure, but I'm in a hopeless position anyway and I will not let him insult my family.

"Don't defend him. He's been trying to take you away from me," he yelled, gripping my shirt and yanking me up before slamming me down again. I gasped out in pain and groaned, breathing deeply to try and focus on something other than the pain.

"Enough talking," he said, moving the knife to hover over the tattoo. I panicked, desperately thrashing to get him off me and away from the tattoo. He growled in frustration and slammed his hips down on my legs. My leg had been lifted up slightly at that time, meaning when he saw down, it twisted and I felt pain flare up in my ankle. I was already in pain, so I just pushed the fear from that to the back of my mind.

"Mine and only mine," he growled as he slashed the knife down over my thigh. At the last moment, I felt a burst of strength and managed to dislodge him slightly, shifting my leg slightly. It wasn't much but it was just enough that the knife missed the tattoo. It missed the tattoo, it did not miss my leg. I screamed out in agony, wailing as my thigh was sliced open and I felt blood trail down my thigh. It hurt, it hurt a lot and I couldn't stop the cries that left my mouth, my chest heaving between sobs, my head dizzying. He growled angrily again and cursed at me, though I could barely even focus on what he was saying. He pinned me down again and I continued to scream and sob though the fight left my body. I used up the last of my energy earlier and with the added pain, I couldn't find anything left to buck him off.

His hand slashed across again and I just signed myself to my fate. I was shocked though when a body suddenly came flying out of nowhere and spear tackled the man off my before the knife could make contact with my skin again. I let my head lull to the side, seeing the two people begin to fight a little further down the hall.

Before I could pay too much attention to it, arms slipped around my waist and I was tugged from behind and dragged further away from the fight. The person stopped a few seconds later but tugged me closer into a firm embrace. I continued to sob but turned in the hold, latching onto the comfort instantly. They were knelt on the ground, resting back with their bottom sitting on their heels as they had me half sitting in their lap. I curled up in their hold, trying to make myself smaller out of fear, looking for protection as my attention was drawn back to the two men fighting. The newcomer was clearly winning the fight, seeming to know some sort of martial arts and not shying away from fighting dirty either. He was punching the pain repeatedly, only getting a few hits in return and even managed to rip the mask off as well, discarding it to the side. The stalker was still the bigger person however and he managed to kick my saviour off and had enough time to race away down the hall. The saviour jumped up and went to race after him.

"Hyung, don't," the person holding me yelled out, stopping the other in their tracks.

"We need to get him help right now. He's shivering really badly," he added. He was right, I was shivering badly and crying in his arms, holding him tightly in a desperate attempt for any form of comfort I could get. There was an intense pain in my leg but it was like something clicked in my mind. One moment all I could fee was pain and the next it dulled down. I seemed to disconnect from things in a way, my brain going fuzzy to block out the pain. I could still hear the voices but it sounded slightly muffled as I sagged in his hold.

"How's he doing Jongin-ah."

"Not good. He's shivering so much and he just went limp in my arms. Hyung look at his leg." I felt the person holding me rub their hand up and down my back but I didn't find much comfort in it. I flinched as I suddenly felt something touch my leg but relaxed quickly after and sagged back down. One of them muttered something about a medical bay but it was around that time that my mind just went blank and I closed my eyes.

San's POV

The performance was great and I was on the high for a little bit, getting ready and calming down for about 15 minutes before my heartrate relaxed again. I had cleaned the sweat off my body and changed into my suit to wear for the rest of the show. I glanced around the room to see how everyone else was fairing but paused when I realised there was someone missing. I did a recount to figure out who it was and my heart stopped when I realised Wooyoung was gone. I felt the panic hit me hard and quick as I remembered the letters he had received a few weeks ago. Security has been increased but you can never be too careful. I raked my brain quickly, trying to figure out if I saw Wooyoung come in after the performance or if maybe something happened before we got here and we were just too high on energy to realise. I couldn't remember and I cursed myself, quickly making my way over to Hongjoong who was brushing his fingers through his hair to fix it up.

"Hyung, Wooyoung's gone," I told him quickly.

"Yeah, he's just ducked to the toilet," Hongjoong replied. I let out a breath of relief and my hand came up to rest over my chest.

"You good," he asked.

"Yeah, sorry, it just scared me. I thought maybe something happened to him, you know, with the sasaeng. They're still out there," I said quietly. Hongjoong sighed and shifted, sitting down on the table and pat next to him. I quickly sat down beside him.

"I'm sorry, I haven't been a good leader or Hyung," he said with another sigh. My eyes widened in confusion as I turned to him. What is he talking about.

"What do you mean? You're a great Hyung," I said quickly.

"Sometimes but not in this instance. The letters were addressed to Wooyoung but your life was directly threatened in them as well, not to mention the bond that the two of you had. We checked in a lot with Wooyoung but I should have checked in on you as well to make sure you were doing ok with everything," he said softly.

"That doesn't matter, I'm fine with it. It doesn't bother me that they were threatening me," I said with a shrug. Hongjoong frowned before slipping his hand into mine and squeezing softly.

"Perhaps, but it's very clearly affecting you. This is the third time you've panicked when Wooyoung has left a room without telling you in the last week," he said softly. I blinked in surprise at that, trying to think of what he was talking about. I very quickly realised that what he has said was true, I just never realised. I took a few more seconds to gather my thoughts and think about what to say.

"I'm scared for him Hyung. He went a week without telling anyone because he was too soft-hearted to see the signs. This person was at our house and who knows, maybe if I wasn't there they would have tried to do something to Youngie. He was so scared Hyung, he was literally shaking in my arms and begging me to protect him," I finished quickly. Hongjoong squeezed my hand again and rubbed his thumb up and down the back of my hand.

"I know it's scary San but we've doubled our security and they've been doing well. They will catch this person eventually and Wooyoung will be fine. For now, all we need to do is just keep an extra eye out for him when we're outside," Hongjoong said.

"I know, I just worry for him," I said with a sigh.

"We all do," Hongjoong said with a gentle smile, ruffling my hair softly.

"You doing ok at the moment though," he added softly.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I was worried for a few seconds but it's fine. I'm going to smother him in cuddles tonight though," I said with a small smile, making him chuckle. I got up and went back over to the couch to sit down and relax for a bit until it was time to go out.

We all ended up just finishing getting ready and chatting while we were waiting for Wooyoung. It was five minutes after my chat with Hongjoong that I started getting a little restless as Wooyoung wasn't back. It was another five minutes after that I was genuinely getting really worried as Wooyoung still wasn't back. He should have been back if he went to the bathroom, maybe he got lost on the way back or stopped to talk to someone. I bit my lip nervously before standing up and heading towards Hongjoong when the door to our room suddenly opened. I turned, expecting to see Wooyoung however my mouth dropped when I say it was Chanyeol from EXO.

"You're catching flies," Mingi chuckled quietly to me and I quickly closed my mouth. EXO are my Idols.

"Hi, I'm EXO Chanyeol," he said quickly, though I know we all already recognise him. God, this is like a dream come true. We all immediately stood and lined up, prepared to do our introduction. Before we could though, Chanyeol interrupted.

"Wooyoung was attacked in the halls and he's hurt pretty bad," he rushed out. The smile slipped from my lips and all the happiness seeped from my body in an instant. My stomach sunk and a whimper slipped from my lips. My gut was telling me this was a bad thing and I didn't listen. I didn't listen and now Wooyoung is hurt. He's hurt and alone.

"Where is he," Hongjoong asked quickly.

"Follow me, I will take you to him," Chanyeol replied. He left the room quickly and the rest of us hurried after him. The pace picked up swiftly until we were all running down the halls. It would have looked weird for someone watching us past but this was our brother who we just found out was attacked. We finally got to a medical pay and Chanyeol swung the door open, everyone hurrying inside. I stepped in and scanned the room immediately, my eyes drawn to Wooyoung who was curled up on the medical bed in the arms of Kai. His back was to the EXO members chest and Wooyoung's body was shaking violently. It shocked me to my core just how pale Wooyoung was and how much his body was shaking. It was so bad that Kai's body was shaking slightly as well as he seemed to be desperately holding a large fluffy blanket around Wooyoung's body. My attention was drawn away as someone walked over to us and I looked to see it was Baekhyun. He had a bruise on his cheek and a serious look on his face.

"Kai and I heard his screams when we were walking through the halls. We ran as quickly as we could but there was already damage done. There was a man who had him pinned to the ground and was trying to stab him with a knife," Baekhyun said. There were gasps all around and I even heard I sob but I couldn't react, I just felt numb. They had a knife. They were trying to stab him, to kill him. That performance could have been the last time I ever saw Wooyoung alive. Before the performance, that could have been the last time I had the little rascal bite my shoulder, the last time he cuddled with me and we watched tiktoks together. My heart clenched and my eyes shifted back to Wooyoung and remained glued there. It felt like if my eyes left him, he would just disappear, that it would be the last time I saw him alive.

"He hasn't stopped shaking and shivering like this since we found him about 10 minutes ago and he won't respond to anything. He's conscious but it's as if he's just not hearing anything," Baekhyun said.

"It's a coping mechanism. He's blocking out the trauma," Jongho said quietly. I watched as the medic went over to the bed and pulled the blanket the blanket up from Wooyoung's legs before pulling his shorts up. I frowned in confusion and instinctively took a step closer, nudging Seonghwa off to the side to get a better look. There was a cloth over Wooyoung's thigh but the medic removed it, uncovering a large gash between his knee and our tattoo. My heart leapt into my throat and I couldn't hold myself back any longer. I rushed over, pausing beside the bed as I took in the state Wooyoung was in from closer. My heart was racing and I felt a few tears well up in my arms but I was quick to push them back. Crying right now will do nothing to help anyone.

"San, he's going to be ok. Right now he's just in shock from what happened," Kai said softly as he turned his attention to me. In any other scenario, I would be so giddy, so happy to hear Kai know my name but this isn't any other scenario and right now, I only had eyes for Wooyoung. I squatted down slightly so I was more level with Wooyoung. It strained my legs a little but it was nothing compared to my worry for Wooyoung.

"Hey Woo, Youngie, it's Sannie. Can you hear me," I asked softly as I lifted my hand and delicately rested it on his cheek, not wanting to spook him too much. The last thing I would want is to scare him and make him thing I was the person trying to hurt him.

"Can you recognise me Young-ah, it's San, your Sannie," I said softly, moving my thumb to rub over his cheekbone lightly. He still didn't reply but I didn't let that deter me. I will be as patient as I need to, to have him as comfortable as he needs to be.

"I'm here for you jagiya. You're safe now, you're safe with us," I whispered, taking a chance to lean forwards and press a quick and light his to the dot on his cheek. Finally, finally, this got a reaction. He still didn't say anything, however I watched as he shifted slightly, his body angled closer to me and his hand reached out toward me. I stepped closer to him, feeling his hand curl into my shirt as he shifted closer once again, though his head never turned towards me.

"You need to stop moving. He needs to go back to how he was so I can fix up his leg," the medic said. I realised that I was the problem causing him to move around so I went to step back. As soon as I tried to move away, Wooyoung made a loud keening sound and started to whine, desperately trying to tug me back with his grip on my shirt. I went without fight, crowding closer to him quickly as the distressed noises coming from him hurt my heart.

"Come here San and switch from me. It's clear he needs your comfort now. Before the shock hit him properly and he went silent, he was calling for you," Kai said quickly. I was shocked at the revelation but I nodded quickly. Kai slipped off the bed and I moved to replace him. Wooyoung keened again but I was quick to get onto the bed, tug him back to my chest so he was sitting between my legs and I hugged his waist tightly. Wooyoung whimpered and I quickly snuggled closer to him, nuzzling my head down into the base of his neck.

"I'm here. I'm here with you. You're safe, I'm not going anywhere," I whispered and felt him sag into my arms. The medic gave it a few seconds to make sure Wooyoung wasn't moving before he came over to check out his leg more. It was quiet for a few seconds as they checked it over and I didn't even realise but when Wooyoung had originally flinched I had started to gently rock his upper body just a little bit for comfort. It seemed to be working though as he was relaxed in my arms, though definitely still not with it but at least the shaking and shivering had stopped.

"I've got some good news for all of you. The cut isn't deep so it won't need stitches and he won't need to go to hospital as I can just give it proper bandaging here. I breathed out a sigh of relief, pressing a light kiss to Wooyoung's shoulder. I glanced towards the others, seeing many of them were crying but were getting consoled by each other and the EXO members. Hongjoong however was off to the side, his face void of emotion as he just watched Wooyoung blankly. I turned my attention back to Wooyoung as he jolted and saw the medic was beginning to bandage his thigh. I quickly moved to give him comfort and reassurance, rubbing his arms and readjusting the blanket to make sure he was still warming up. While the medic was bandaging his leg, the door to the room opened again and a venue staff member stepped inside. My arms tightened around Wooyoung protectively, hearing him hum lightly but I watched the newcomer closely.

"We have managed to apprehend the attacker as he was quite injured by Baekhyun-ssi. We found him trying to sneak out a back entrance and he's now being held in a secure room until the police arrive. I let out breath or relief and felt Wooyoung shift to weakly hug me as his leg was now bandage. I tugged him closer and he clung tighter to me, seemingly having heard what was said and most likely feeling relieved as he sniffled slightly.

"San." My head snapped down at the small voice and I tightened my hold on him.

"I'm here baby," I whispered.

"He tried to destroy our tattoo," he mumbled.

"What," I asked in shock before I could stop myself. I winced as I realised it might have been too loud but I was shocked at what he told me.

"Wanted to cut it up but I-I didn't let him," Wooyoung said, his voice still quiet. My heart clenched as I realised the reason the knife came out was because of something I did with him. He was hurt in a way, because of him.

"Did I do well," Wooyoung asked with a whimper, snapping me from my thoughts. I pulled back in confusion and ran my eyes over his face. I immediately noticed the hazy and glazed over look in his eyes and realise he was still quite unsteady and rattled by what happened. He desperately needed some form of reassurance that something went well, that he did something good despite what happened. I don't know exactly what happened but from what I know Baekhyun fought the man off Wooyoung while Wooyoung is quite small and not very good with fighting. It was likely that he was barely able to defend himself and this small thing was the only thing he managed to do. I cuddled him closer and pressed a kiss to his forehead as I tucked his head under my chin against my chest.

"You did very well Young-ah, so well. You protected our promise, you fought for our bond," I praised him. I could immediately see the way Wooyoung settled a bit more at that, a small smile finally slipping onto his face as he nuzzled closer to me.

"So I've bandaged his leg up however that will need to be changed at least once a day, two times is more preferred. It should take two to four weeks to heal properly and in that time you need to get it checked out every three days to make sure it's on track to healing and doesn't get infected. He is going to be ok physically and he is free to go but he has gone through something traumatic so I do recommend you have him talk to a therapist," the medic told us. I glanced down at the younger but noticed he had zoned out once again and didn't seem to hear, though thankfully he was still a lot more relaxed.

"Thank you," Seonghwa said, bowing to the medic. The medic bowed back before leaving us alone.

"We um, we'd just like to thank you, so much. Wooyoung is my best friend and he may seem rough around the edges but he's an absolute softie. What you did for him, you saved him and we can never repay you for that," Yeosang spoke up, turning to the EXO members. I could tell he was having trouble keeping his voice steady but he did well.

"We aren't looking to be repaid," Kai said.

"We know. But thank you, for protecting him, for saving him," Yunho said.

"We're honestly just glad we got there in time. We wish you the best of luck in his recovery and I hope he can pull through well," Baekhyun said. The three EXO members bowed before also leaving the room, being replaced a few seconds later by our manager.

"We've been updated on everything that has happened and we're taking you all straight home. We just need to grab your bags and then we'll head out to the vans that are almost here," our manager said. Everyone nodded and Mingi and Jongho came over to me, helping me stand up and adjust Wooyoung so I was carrying him bridal style while making sure the blanket was still secured around his body, covering his legs again. We went back to our dressing room and got everything packed up, well they did, I just held Wooyoung and made sure he was doing ok. Hongjoong walked over to us and gently fitted a mask onto Wooyoung's face and a cap on his head to cover his eyes. Once everything was packed up, we left the building with our staff and security where we were escorted to the vans to take us back home. I kept Wooyoung in my arms the entire time, not wanting to part with him. The mere thought of having him out of my sight had me feeling panic build up inside me.

When we got back to the dorms the boys went first, holding the doors open for me as I carried Wooyoung over to his room. Yeosang and Jongho grabbed their clothes before leaving, saying that Wooyoung needed some time with me and they'd be there when he was stable enough to talk to everyone. I managed to grab clothes for him to where without putting him down and I carried him into the bathroom. I got him undressed and wiped him down gently, not wanting to give him a full shower just yet. Once that was done, I dressed him again. He was surprisingly receptive, even helping me out with things and making proper eye contact. Once he was freshened up, I scooped him into my arms again and carried him back to the room, laying him on the bed.

"Stay," he whispered and I nodded, crawling onto the bed to cuddle him.

"I'm not letting you out of my sight anytime soon," I said. It was a testament to how rattled he was now as there was no snarky or playful remark in return, instead he just nodded and huddled closer to my side. It was quiet for a few minutes before the door creaked open and Seonghwa poked his head inside.

"Everything ok," he asked softly. I glanced at Wooyoung but he didn't reply though he was looking at Seonghwa and flashed him a weak smile.

"He's ok at the moment," I said with a nod.

"Ok. Come and get me if there's anything wrong. We're all going to be camping out in the loungeroom for the night, just to get our bearings a bit. I'm guessing Wooyoung might prefer to just sleep here with you so it doesn't get too overwhelming," Seonghwa said and to that, Wooyoung nodded quickly.

"Alright. I love you and I'm here for you. Get some sleep," Seonghwa said before starting to leave.

"I love you two," Wooyoung spoke up quickly. Seonghwa glanced back to flash a small smile before leaving and closing the door. I just continued to hold Wooyoung for a while, not wanting to push him but desperately hoping he would feel comfortable to say something.

"Can I talk to you," he asked a little while later and my heart soared but I made sure to stay calm so as to not scare him off in any way.

"Of course Young-ah, you can always talk to me," I promised. Wooyoung drew in a deep breath and his hand slipped down to hold mine, squeezing tightly.

"Take your time," I whispered.

"I got lost on my way back from the bathroom. I think I took a wrong turn straight away and it just knocked me off path completely. I saw someone down a hall so I went to them for help but they attacked me," Wooyoung said. I nodded at that, my jaw clenching slightly but I didn't say anything, letting him tell me whatever he needed to while he still had the courage.

"He threw me into the wall and then slammed me to the floor and pinned me down. It hurt a lot but I was so scared, I was terrified and that just overtook everything. He was telling me things he mentioned in the letters. Kept saying I was his and only his, something about me being his husband or some shit," he said before pausing to draw in a breath.

"When he pulled out the knife, I genuinely thought he was going to kill me and I somehow managed to panic more. But then, then he uh-." Wooyoung stopped talking and sniffled, his free hand coming up to wipe his eyes.

"He told me he didn't want an-another mans mark on my body and that he wanted to carve my tattoo. I don't know why I'm crying right n-now and I don't why it triggered me so much but I cherish our tattoo. It gives me strength, all of my tattoos do and I just, i-."

"They're a part of you Wooyoung, they have woven into your identity, they are permanently on your body. I understand completely where you're coming from," I assured him.

"You do," he asked shakily and I nodded.

"He pinned me down and went to slash it but I managed to move my leg at the last second. It hurt a lot and I had given up after that but I was also screaming throughout a lot of that time and thankfully someone heard it," Wooyoung said with a sigh.

"Can I say something? And I need you to believe me on this because I mean it with every fibre of my being," I said. Wooyoung sighed but nodded, lifting his head to look at me properly. I cupped his cheek to make sure his attention stayed on me.

"You did so well Wooyoung, so well. I know it doesn't seem like it and I know you think you opened yourself up to this but this is something no one should ever have to go through. You have and you got through it. Not only that but you had one thing you fixated on, to protect and you did that. You kept safe what was dear to you. I am proud of you, so fucken proud Jung Wooyoung. You are so strong and I feel to lucky to be your soulmate," I said firmly. By the time I was finished, there were tears falling down his face but he was smiling.

"Thank you. You have no idea how much that means to me. I find it hard to believe after everything that happens but if you're still proud of me and you think I did well, then that means so much to me. I really needed to hear that," he choked out, wrapping his arms around my neck to hug me tightly, I quickly wrapped my arms around his waist and held him close.

"I was so scared and even now the feeling lingers even though I know he's getting locked up and I'm safe," he whispered.

"That's understandable Wooyoung, you went through something quite traumatic. Would you um, would you be open to going to therapy," I asked carefully. Some people tend to react negatively to therapy even though it is so beneficial.

"There's no way I'm not going to therapy. I need it and I know that. If I ever want to continue this career with the constant exposure to so many people, I need to getting over this feeling," he replied quickly.

"It will take time Woo but that's ok," I said softly.

"I know that," he said with a nod.

"How do you feel now though, despite everything," I asked him.

"I know I'm safe with you. You wouldn't let anyone hurt me," he said happily as he relaxed, laying against me. His words made me sad as I had already broken that idea, I've already messed up. He got hurt today, almost killed and I wasn't able to protect him.

"I promise I will protect you from now on," I said, holding him tightly.

"I know you will," he mumbled, relaxing in my arms. I continued to hold him throughout the night, even hours after he had already fallen asleep, keeping him safe.

A/N

Here is the second part of my Sasaeng Oneshot and yes, I apologise for putting Wooyoung through all that pain but angst often makes a good story when pairing in the comfort and I quite enjoyed writing it

Let me know your thoughts and what you enjoyed reading.

If you have any questions about anything that wasn't expanded upon, I will happily answer them. There are a few things that were definitely open to be expanded upon but it was already a very long story

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it
