"Wake up!"
A pillow was smacked right in the middle of Wooyoung's face. That was an immediate wake up call, his head flying up from the arm of the couch when the pillow got yanked away. Wooyoung decided after countless nights in his car or hotel, he came back to Yeosang's apartment to stay a couple of nights, even if his best friend groaned at the thought, he always knew he welcomed him with open arms.
"About time." Yeosang tossed the couch pillow by Wooyoung's feet, where it had been previously. "Come on, it's nearly two in the afternoon."
"You try staying up all night hunting." Grumbled Wooyoung as he moved to lag on his stomach, arm hanging over the couch and dangling above the floor, his fingertips just barely brushing over the carpet.
"I may not be a hunter but I am a college student." His foot was nudged when Yeosang spoke, before going to the sliding glass doors that lead to his small balcony and pushed back the curtains. "Come on, I made ramyun. Eat lunch with me, you barely ate last night's dinner."
Yeosang didn't give his friend a choice, grabbing him by the dangling arm and began to pull his limp body until Wooyoung had no choice but to turn back around and sit up, pushing his blond hair back when it fell over his squinting eyes as he adjusted to the bright lights coming from the sliding glass door that lead to Yeosang's balcony. "Sorry for running out on you last night. I had a lead and I wasn't going to let it slip past my fingers." Wooyoung pulled his arm out of Yeosang's grasp, getting up from the couch he had been crashing on for nearly a week and stretched out his limbs as Yeosang walked into the kitchen.
"We've been friends for ten years and you've been doing your hunting thing for a little over half that, trust me. I'm used to you walking out on me like that." Teased Yeosang, his voice echoing in the small apartment as Wooyoung made his way into the kitchen, two bowls of ramyun sitting at the table with pairs of chopsticks next to them. It was like Yeosang had no plans on letting Wooyoung skip out on lunch after basically skipping out on dinner AND breakfast. He sat in front of one and picked up the chopsticks, looking into the bowl. There was even an extra boiled egg and meat compared to the one Yeosang made for himself.
"Thanks." He took the water bottle handed to him, Yeosang sitting across from him with his own bottle and dug right into the meal. The smell wafted into his noise and he was dying for a bite. "So what's the plan for tonight?"
Any time Wooyoung stayed over they had some sort of deal, one night one picks what to eat for dinner and then the next night the other chose. Just a little system that always worked and prevented any unneeded arguments. "Oh, you're eating last night's leftovers." Yeosang pointed to the fridge. "I won't be here tonight, I have a date."
"Date? Kang Yeosang, the man who always turns down going out in favor of studying has a date tonight?" He playfully reached over the table to feel his forehead, because this wasn't his Yeosang. No way!
His hand was smacked away. "Hey, I'm serious! Whenever you're out of town I have no one to hang out with. You're kind of my only friend so I get lonely." Yeosang poked into his ramyun with a little pout. "So I've downloaded some apps and found this really attractive guy. He said he'll pay for my whole meal just as long as I show up. And guess what? He's taking me out to that fancy steakhouse restaurant!"
"The one close to where you work?" Yeosang nodded and Wooyoung's jaw dropped. "Isn't that place is like, crazy expensive? Like for two people it's over two hundred dollars. Is he some sort of sugar daddy? Has my best friend turned into a sugar baby?!"
"No, it's nothing like that." Yeosang rolled his eyes at Wooyoung's dramatics, grabbing his phone that was left on the table and opening up the dating app to show him the profile of the man he matched with.
"See? Barely older than us."
Wooyoung took the phone from Yeosang's hand to do a proper inspection, even if he whined about his phone getting stolen.
Like Yeosang told him he was twenty eight, just a few years older than they were, Wooyoung's twenty fourth birthday was just the following month. His name was Youngjae, and his bio was your average wanting to meeting someone who's looking for something long term, someone that won't mind a little spoiling here and there ;) as well as some of his interests which were the typical long walks in the afternoons or night, loves horror films and having a drink or two.
And his pictures seemed average. He was handsome, for sure. "I know what you're planning." Yeosang swiped the phone from his hand and locking the screen. "You're not reading my messages with him!"
"That's not what I was planning on doing!" He was. "And even if I was what are you all blushy for?" He pointed at the blond's cheeks. "Afraid I'm gonna see your sexts? Sorry Sangie, but you know I've seen worst than your sexts."
"Okay I'll pretend I have no idea what you're talking about." Yeosang shoved his phone in his pocket and opened the water bottle to take a drink. "He asked me to meet him at the front of the restaurant tonight at eight. If things go according to plan I may even stay at his place."
"So you're finally getting laid- ow!"
Yeosang had kicked his shin, causing him to lift his leg and smash his knee against the underside of the table. "Fuck you!"
"I'll pass on that. Anyway I get laid plenty of times!"
"Okay, when's the last time?"
Silence.
Yeosang picked his ramyun bowl up and circled around the table. "I don't have to answer that. You don't need the private details of my sex life."
"If that's your answer then I assume a while."
"Go to Hell!" Yeosang hollered from the living room, causing Wooyoung to grin to himself as he picked up one of the boiled eggs to eat.
"Already on my way there babe!"
With the news that Yeosang for once had plans that night, by afternoon they resided in the older's room, Wooyoung sitting on Yeosang's bed while he raided his closet, picking out potential date fits for Wooyoung to rate.
"Listen, I know this date is possibly ending in sex but I say keep it casual, but sleek. Don't need to be looking homeless at this high end restaurant but we also don't need you to look desperate." He pointed to the leather jeans Yeosang pulled out. "Oh! Do those! They'll make your ass look fat!"
"Thought I was supposed to make it casual." Yeosang rolled his eyss but went along with it, as well as the picking out a dark blue wool sweater to wear as the nights tend to get pretty chilly. Now sitting in front of his small vanity mirror he used a headband to push his bangs out of the way.
"Do smokey!" Wooyoung suggested as Yeosang began to work on his makeup.
"I don't know, I think a more neutral look would be better. I don't want to go over the top." Wooyoung huffed, and as Yeosang focused on his makeup he ended up scrolling through tiktok. Then once Yeosang finished to pass the time he ended up on his bed with Wooyoung, watching the videos on his phone until he saw the time on the top of the screen.
"Be careful, text me if you're staying over and make sure to wear a condom if anything happens!" Wooyoung yelled down the hall, by then Yeosang had been waiting on the elevator to open and just flipped his best friend off, his cackle bouncing off the walls before shutting the apartment door.
Having the apartment to himself for the night seemed oddly weirdused to always having Yeosang to pester if he wasn't at class or work. Sitting in the couch, he grabbed the remote to find something to entertain him and while the opening credits began he went in the kitchen to reheat the leftovers that were left for him, returning with a full plate.
He sat, ate his food and for the few hours of peaceful solitude he remained on the couch. On occasions he did text Yeosang, asking how the date was going and would receive a reply minutes later, telling him that he was just the perfect guy. When Yeosang met up with Youngjae he held his hand as he was being led into the restaurant, even getting his chair pulled out for him and pushed once he sat down, told him he could drink whatever he desired and ordered any food, and that it was on him.
Yeosang's last message to him was sent just an hour prior, saying he and Youngjae would be going on a little walk before going to his place to watch a movie. Good for his best friend, Wooyoung thought to himself. He was happy for Yeosang for finally finding a nice enough guy that seemed worthy for him. When the television was no longer providing any entertainment for him he shut it off and instead grabbed his laptop that sat next to his feet, currently perched on the coffee table and placed it on his thighs.
It was mostly used for work purposes, and even though he had no plans on working that night, he'd still like to see if there were any new sightings.
Wooyoung did not like the information he was reading.
WARNING.
Vampire sightings within the city.
Suspected to target young single men and take them out to dates before he feeds on them and leave them to bleed out.

He didn't read past that, he shut his laptop, and grabbed his phone to send Yeosang a text. This was just some insane coincidence! Right?

To say Wooyoung was terrified was an understatement. He threw on the first jacket he saw with his phone shoved into one of its pockets while grabbing the keys to his car. He even nearly forgot to put his shoes on! He was out of the apartment quickly, grabbing his phone to see exactly where the location Yeosang was.
Or at least, hopefully he would be there. He never drove faster in his life, his heart drumming loudly in his ears. It was all that he could hear, he didn't even hear the sound of a carn horn when he drove past a red light. The location of Yeosang's phone lead him more towards the downtown area of the city, where more.. dangers lurked in the shadows and a lump forced its way into Wooyoung's throat, having to swallow it down as he half assed park his car, throwing himself out of the driver's seat and down into the alleyway his phone was telling him to go.
There were no lights around, but he knew the scent of blood when he smelled it, so when he turned the flash of his phone off, he was met with a god awful sight.
Yeosang's, pale and unmoving laid on the pavement, his eyes shut thus making it hard to tell if he was conscious or not, his clothing was absolutely soaked with the blood that seeped from the multiple wounds on his neck, staining them and slowly pooling around him.
"Yeosang!" Screeching out his name his phone fell from his hand, not caring if it broke or not on the concrete he stumbled over, falling to his knees and into the puddle of blood. One of his hands instinctively pressed against his gushing neck to place pressure against it to lighten the bleeding.
"Yeosang, can you hear me? Please say something!" He was begging, tears aligning his vision as he reached with his other hand to lightly pat the man's cheek, before he felt at the other side of his neck to feel for a pulse.
...
It was faint. But it was there.
Wooyoung tried to bring him back into consciousness by smacking his cheek and calling out his name. But like before, no response. He looked around at their settings. Compared to the main parts of the city, it was more desolate, no sounds of humans anywhere, thus was probably why Yeosang was attacked and just left there so that no one would find him until it had been too late. The idea alone was enough to send an unnerving chill down his spine. He knew he had to do something quick, even with him placing pressure against his neck, Yeosang was still slowly losing blood but he couldn't let him go, nor could he even reach his phone that was left abandoned just a few feet away. He could just see that the fall it suffered left major cracks on the screen.
He turned back to Yeosang, tears lining and easily falling down his cheeks. "I-I'm going to get you help Sangie, okay? You- You're going to be okay—" He began stuttering over his own words, hands now soaked and began slipping away from Yeosang's neck from just how messy it was.
He started to let go, to rush to his phone to call for an ambulance but when he turned back around, one hand off of Yeosang to run over he stopped at the sight of the very familiar looking man standing in the middle of the alleyway, in his hand holding Wooyoung's phone.
"San—"
"What happened?"
Quick steps, and the vampire was already by the human's side, crouched next to Wooyoung to assess the situation. His words were getting caught in his throat because why was he there and how did he manage to find him?
"He— He went on a date. With a guy he met online... And then I read... about a vampire who lures their victims in using similar tactics and I ended up finding him here when I started searching for him." San reached up to his own arm and with a simple tug, the long sleeve of his black button up ripped right off, being bundled up and pressed to Wooyoung's hands so that he would have something to completely cover it.
"Please help me." Wooyoung was resulting to begging the vampire that had every intent on killing him just a year prior. The least he could do if he refused to offer help was to just mercifully kill Yeosang so that he wasn't suffering the way that he was. "He's gonna die!" Wooyoung's cries echoed around the brick walls as San circled around until he was now opposite of him. Without question, he hoisted the unconscious man up, forcing Wooyoung to just follow as he kept his hand against his neck.
"Where's your car?" Wooyoung didn't respond, only awkwardly walking backwards to keep his hold on Yeosang as they rushed out of the alleyway, down the sidewalk where his car remained parked. He let go of one hand, reaching in his pocket, to hell with his clothes and pulled out his keys. With the mess that he was it was a little slippery, but he unlocked his car and opened its back doors.
"Get in." San instructed, leaving Wooyoung for a short moment confused but did what the vampire asked, scooting to the other end and when he was situated, Yeosang was placed laying on the seats, head in his lap so he put his hands back where he continued bleeding. San shut the door and walked around to get into the driver's seat, not even needing to ask for he key as Wooyoung tossed them up front.
Things turned into a blur as San drove them straight to the hospital, almost feeling like he were floating while the car was parked, San's words muffled like his wars were stuffed with cotton as he said he would come back with help. His only focus was his friends laying in his lap. He nearly began to yell when he noticed Yeosang was being pulled away from him but quieted up seeing it was medical staff. He followed until he was wheeled behind the thick wooden doors and was instructed to wait in the waiting room while they made sure Yeosang was okay.
Hands now washed, Wooyoung say with his head hung low in one of those really uncomfortable waiting room chairs, out of an anxious habit would push his hand through his hair, messing it up. San remained next to him the whole time, arms crossed and not saying nothing.
"Why did you help?" Wooyoung finally whispered, refusing to move his head and look at San, who only shrugged.
"Because you needed it."
Wooyoung balled his hands into fists. Just for a moment before he was releasing them and hiding his face in his hands. His shoulders started shaking and ugly cries escaped from his lips. San was left to just let Wooyoung cry out his worries, he did attempt to comfort the human, placing a cold hand on his warm back and began to rub it in small circles. Wooyoung cried, and cried until he started to get one of those annoying little headaches, even then the tears wouldn't stop.
"Thank you." He finally spoke, voice wobbly and unstable and without hesitation he dropped his hands and fell against San, balling his shirt into his shaky fists as he nosed against the older's neck. "You could have left him to bleed out, or could have done whatever... and yet you helped me. Thank you."
"Y-Yeah." San stuttered a little as he wrapped a single srm around Wooyoung's shoulders. "I would have felt a little bad just leaving him."
Wooyoung stayed where he was with the occasional rub to his back by San's hand, the attempt of comfort doing more than either realized as his breathing slowly began to even out, breathing in the scent of San's woodsy scent. The heavy sobs and hiccups coming from the younger turning into mere whimpers. He even shut his eyes after taking a deep breath to rest them. Now that he didn't need to worry over Yeosang anymore, the adrenaline of everything came crashing down, leaving Wooyoung exhausted to his core.
So exhausted, he didn't realize he fell asleep against the vampire, only having been woken up however long later to a shake at his shoulders. "A doctor came by." Came San's gentle voice against his ear as to not startle the waking man. "They said they were able to stabilize your friend. They asked what even caused his attack so I hope you don't mind I said a wild animal that managed to stray too far into the city." Wooyoung lifted his head, eyes squinting and began to rub at them while surpassing a yawn that wanted to escape. "They said they'll keep him for a few days, to help build his strength back up. How about we get you out of here?"
Sleepily, Wooyoung nodded and with sluggish movements followed San outside and to the car. Though he ended up falling back asleep in the passenger seat as San pulled out of the hospital's parking lot. If he were honest, the vampire didn't have the courage to wake Wooyoung up to give him the direction of his home so rather than that, he drove Wooyoung back to his home, carrying him bridal style all the way inside and up the stairs. He even quietly shushed any others of his coven to prevent a disturbance. He ended up putting Wooyoung in one of the empty guest rooms, this time around he didn't restrain him to the bed, instead he was able to maneuver Wooyoung's limp body to strip him of his ruined clothes, replacing them with some of his own. He even left a glass of water on the nightstand for the human.
Wooyoung slept for the remainder of the night, waking up alone in the bedroom. He lifted his head, blinking his puffed eyes to get accustomed to the dark room before he sat up. The blanket pooled at his torso as he was getting a hold of the previous night's memories.
Okay, so Yeosang was hurt, San came and offered his assistance, and when he was sure his best friend wasn't in immediate danger anymore he fell asleep on San who then offered to take him home...
Well, home wasn't where he was, that was for sure. He pushed the blanket off his legs and swung them around. Tiptoeing to the door, he went to open the door to see where exactly he was, but as he swung the door open, standing before him was a.. rather tall looking man, hand up to knock at the front door.
"You're awake." Came a voice so deep Wooyoung was not expecting to come out of his naturally pouty lips.
"Yeah... who are you?" Bluntly asked Wooyoung, hands gripping at the wood of the door and ready to slam the door shut in case this stranger who was obviously a vampire tried anything.
"Oh. I'm Mingi, a friend of San's. He told me to fetch you and bring you to the kitchen." Mingi motioned Wooyoung to follow, not waiting for any comment and just turned and walked back down the hall and leaving the human no choice but to jog to catch up to the taller.
"I brought your toy!" Mingi yelled out when both entered the kitchen, receiving a smack to his shoulder by the spatula San was hiding, then smiled when his eyes landed on Wooyoung.
"Good morning." He said. "I hope you don't mind I brought you here... you were sleeping and I didn't want to bother you after the night you had." He reached in his pocket and pulled out his car keys, dangling them on his finger for Wooyoung to snatch away. "Here. You can leave as soon as you eat something." San motioned to the table, where Mingi sat with a few others of his coven.
Awkwardly after putting his keys away, Wooyoung took one of the empty chairs, making him sit next to Mingi and a shorter male with half his hair dyed blond.
"Don't mind Hongjoong." Mingi half whispered towards him. "He's a little grumpy in the mornings. Nothing but a little coffee can't help."
The male, Hongjoong, glared in Mingi's direction. Though his expression softened up when another stranger with pink hair came with two coffee mugs, one handed to Hongjoong and the other offered to him. "I wasn't sure how you prefer your coffee." The pink haired man said, sitting on the other side of Hongjoong. "So I hope you don't mind a little cream and sugar."
"It's fine." Wooyoung assured, taking a look into the cup and then over to Hongjoong, who was already sipping at the mug while leaning into the touch of pink haired man, which Mingi had whispered to him that his name was Seonghwa.
This felt.. domestic, like a very typical morning between humans. Sure, he was aware vampires could be like family with each other.. but it was still a weird concept for Wooyoung to wrap his head around, considering all his life he had been raised to believe these creatures were nothing but cold blooded murderers. He sipped his coffee and placed the cup down when a plate was placed in front of him by San. "Hope you like scrambled. You were gonna get over easy, but I accidentally broke the yolks when I tried to flip them." Wooyoung scoffed out a laugh, picking up the fork so he could eat his meal, feeling like the odd one out in this family of vampires.
"Hey, by the way." Wooyoung spoke in San's direction to get his attention, motioning to the clean clothes on him.
"Oh that. Like with driving you were sleeping and I didn't want to wake you so I changed you after getting you on the bed." Wooyoung gripped his fork tightly. San only grinned. "It's not like it's anything I haven't seen before."
Wooyoung face bloomed red, snapping his eyes down to avoid any looks of the others, hearing some small snickers. "But don't worry." Seonghwa commented. "I'll have your clothes clean in no time. I know how to get the toughest bloodstains out of clothing." Wooyoung nodded in thanks and returned to his food.
In the middle of their meal, two more came walking in, a shorter and taller male.
"I finally got the baby out of his room." The blond called out, nudging the shorter vampire towards the table.
"Awh, there's our little cub. Just in time for breakfast. Come! Meet Sannie's human friend!"
The mention of humans perked the redhead, his eyes landing immediately on Wooyoung, easily able to spot him from the small crowd of others as the blond sat next to Mingi, sloppy cheek pressed against the brown haired man's. Wooyoung just raised a brow at the redhead, then to San, who was sitting in between Seonghwa and the blond.
"Jongho is the newest addition to our coven." It wasn't San that explained, but Hongjoong. "He joined about a couple of weeks ago after Seonghwa turned him. He's still getting used to keeping his thirst under control. Just don't do anything that could cause him to lose that control like getting yourself injured." Warned the man while also pointing his fork in Wooyoung direction in a half threatening way. But Wooyoung wasn't paying attention to that because all he could think was Seonghwa turned him. And to do that..
Seonghwa killed him.
Wooyoung suddenly wanted to get away as quick as he could. So he finished his breakfast quickly without another word, standing up, quietly thanking them for the meal and left the kitchen to run up to the bedroom he had stayed in.
Even how warm this little family seemed to be, that doesn't stop them from murdering humans. He slammed the door open, finding his shoes tucked neatly by the edge of the bed so he went over to put those on, in his little rage he didn't see he was being followed by another.
"There was no choice."
He cursed, jumped and whipped his head around to see San standing at the doorway, arms crossed.
"We stopped killing to feed just about six months ago when Hongjoong became the leader of our coven. He vowed for us to not intentionally hurt humans. But one night he and Seongwha were walking home from a date to find him injured. He was mugged and left to bleed out. Jongho wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Seonghwa turning him." San explained to Wooyoung, who this whole time slowly turned around to face San fully.
"You don't kill anymore?" San shook his head.
"Hongjoong wants what's best for us, so rather than feeding off humans, because Seonghwa is a nurse he's able to pull strings for us with donated blood bags."
"So you're stealing from people who need it." Wooyoung said as he tugged a shoe onto his foot.
"It's better than what we used to do." San crossed his arms. "Don't judge my family for what we do to survive."
"Mm." Was all Wooyoung responded with. With shows now on, he shoved his phone and keys into the pockets of his borrowed pants. "I'm going to visit Yeosang and see if he's woken up."
Wooyoung doesn't wait for San's response, walking past the vampire, to rush to the exit without even saying a simple goodbye to the others. He shut the door behind himself, squinting at the morning sun hitting him directly in the eyes and using his hand to shield them from the bright rays.
The trip to the hospital this time around was more calm. He was able to get there, get inside and get the information he needed, stepping in his best friend's room, he was relieved to see Yeosang on the bed. He was pale, almost deadly and eyes sunken in. Connected to his arm was a blood bag, supplying him with what was lost. He stepped over, his knees gently pressed against the uncomfortable mattress.
"Hey Sangie." His voice barely rang in the room as he whispered. Even if Yeosang was unconscious he didn't want to risk bothering him. "You really scared me half to death last night." Now Wooyoung was sitting on the edge of the bed. He took a hold of his hand, noting just how icy they felt under his grasp so to help with that he wrapped both of his hands around it, lifting them up and Wooyoung blew into their hands to warm it up.
"Guess this means no more online dating." He moved one hand to reach up and tuck a piece of Yeosang's hair behind his ear. "Don't ever do something like this to me again.. okay?"
He fought back his emotions. Yeosang was okay. There was no reason for him to keep crying. Yet the tears still began to slip from his cheeks and he didn't bother to wipe, so they slipped down his cheeks, meeting at his chin and dripping off it. "I can't lose you like that Sangie. You're like my brother." He hiccupped, pressing Yeosang's hand against his chest.
"I'll find him." He began. "I promise you that. I'll look to the ends of the earth and then some for the bastard and I'll make sure he suffers like he made you. Okay? So don't worry about him anymore." His voice was wobbling now. "Just worry on getting better so you can wake up and come home." Wooyoung lowered his head, a few small sobs leaving him as he squeezed his eyes shut.
The hours Wooyoung spent with Yeosang, his friend remained unconscious, but he didn't mind. Wooyoung would happily have these one sided conversations with him (it wouldn't be the first). He talked about waking up in San's home again and even explained that for a split second he was there it felt like a real family. He also commented that the weather was icky, clouds covering the sky and not a single blue shone through with the occasional rain shower. "One of these kind of days you and I would've spent it on the couch watching those bad rom com movies and just laughing at them the whole time and laughing over how ridiculous they were." Wooyoung looked briefly outside of the window of Yeosang's room.
He heard a sound behind him, so when he whipped his head around he found San standing at the doorway, a bag in each hand. "I asked the nurse, before you ask how I found his room." San took the first step over, stopping when his knees hit the bed. "Seonghwa made you some food to eat for lunch." He held one bag up, and then motioned to the other. "Your clothes are in this one. Figured you wouldn't want to come back to collect them yourself."
With a small thanks, Wooyoung took both from San, setting his clothes on the floor. Though before he could peak in the food bag to see what Seonghwa made for him, the familiar voice had tears brimming at his eyes again.
"Wooyoung??"
Hearing Yeosang's voice, although rough around the edges, it was heaven to his ears. Food now forgotten and left on the mattress he took his hand again with both of his. "Yeosang!" His voice laced with relief. "Thank god you're awake."
"And I'm ready to go back to sleep." As he said that, he shut his eyes again and let out a sigh through his nose.
"Go ahead. I promise I'll still be here." Yeosang shook his head and forced his eyes back open.
"I've worried you enough." After speaking, he looked to the vampire who the whole time stayed quiet, watching the humans conversing. "Who are you?"
"Just... a friend, of Wooyoung's." San replied. Yeosang nodded, butdidn't answer, his hand twitching before it reached to the remote connected to his bed so he could raise it a little. Just enough so he wasn't lying completely flat.
"Do you remember anything about last night?" Wooyoung questioned while taking the remote from Yeosang so he didn't lift the bed too much. Yeosang just lightly shrugged.
"Not really... it got too fuzzy when I started losing too much blood..."
"Well, tonight I'm going to hunt for him." Wooyoung promised, offering a comforting smile to Yeoto ease his friend who was already struggling to keep conscious and a conversation.
"Actually," Wooyoung looked up when San butted in, the vampire slowly crouching so he was eye level with Wooyoung. "My brothers have already started a search for him."
"Why? This is my business."
"It became ours the moment I decided to help." San said. "Besides, we've already gotten a lead on his whereabouts." Wooyoung's eyes went wide, making San scoff.
"What? No better person to hunt down a vampire than another vampire."
"Or... you know, a vampire hunter?" Wooyoung made a gesture to himself. "I could easily have found those clues too."
"Mhmm." San didn't sound too convinced, arms crossed his broad chest (seriously, he gained so much more muscle than what he had during their last meeting). "Don't worry, once he's in our hands you can have your revenge on him." San patted Wooyoung's head, the human smacking the vampire's hand away and snickered. "I should go. You as well." He motioned to the now sleeping Yeosang. "Wouldn't want to disturb him."
Wooyoung shook his head. There was no way he was leaving Yeosang after leaving him alone in this hospital room the whole night. "It's fine." He waved San off. "You go. And when you hear or find anything let me know please."
"Will do." With one last wave, San had disappeared, leaving Wooyoung and Yeosang alone again. With the vampire gone and Yeosang sleeping again, nothing could distract him from the grumbling of his stomach, so he peaked into the bag, finding containers of food all prepared for Wooyoung specifically.
Hope you enjoy :)
Said the note on the top container, which got wadded up and tossed in the trashcan as Wooyoung began to dig into the bags.
He had to admit... he thoroughly enjoyed the meal Seonghwa made him. Each bite tasted of home, which he was beginning to miss (though it technically wasn't his), but the idea of going home alone just didn't sound right for him. So after saying his goodnights to Yeosang that night, with the promise of coming back in the morning, he did the thing he didn't think he would be doing so soon. Or at all.
Knocking on the door to San's home.
A small coming! was faint, and soon the door sprung open, a surprised Mingi on the other side of it.
"I didn't think you'd be back so soon." Explained Mingi as he opened the door wider to allow Wooyoung entry. "San!" Mingi hollered, Wooyoung quickly stepping away from the sheer loudness of his voice. "Your toy is back!"
"I'm not his fucking toy." Wooyoung muttered through gritted teeth, taking off his shoes by the door as he and Mingi both waited for San to come, which he quickly did and seeing that Wooyoung did in fact returned his eyebrows shot up.
"I didn't come here because I missed you." He was quick to tell San, holding the bag of empty containers. "I wanted to return these. And ask about you know what."
"Oh, thanks. I guess?" San took the bag, turning and making his way to the kitchen with Wooyoung following along. "As for you know what, right now Hongjoong and Yunho went out. Seonghwa would have went with, but he's been staying here a lot with Jongho to help him adjust with his new life."
Speaking of Seonghwa, in he came through the kitchen and when he spotted Wooyoung, he perked up. "I thought I heard a new voice. I'm surprised to see you, I thought this morning would be our last meeting for a while." Stepping up to Wooyoung's he took his hand in a friendly gesture and shook it. "Are you hungry? We've already eaten but I can happily make you something to eat."
"I'm alright." Wooyoung said. And he is!
Or was.
Because right after he said those words, while Seonghwa pulled away from him, his stomach decided to growl and let it be known between the three of them how hungry Wooyoung was.
"Okay maybe just a little." He admitted with a small embarrassed laugh, which Seonghwa just waved off and motioned him to the kitchen.
"That's alright. Have a seat!"
He motioned to the dining table. But Wooyoung had other plans, following Seonghwa to the table. "Actually I'd like to help." He offered as Seonghwa began pulling out different ingredients. "I don't get to cook often since I do a lot of traveling for work."
"Oh yes. Being a hunter and all must be hard work." Seonghwa said nonchalantly, as if Wooyoung worked any other average job that didn't involve murder his own kind. He blinked, watching the pink haired vampire place everything on the counter. "Since you want to help out," He opened up a cupboard, pulling out a strainer and placed vegetables into it. "Be a dear and wash these for me? I'd really appreciate it if you cut them too!" He pointed to the display of knives. Wooyoung nodded and while Seonghwa worked on prepping the meat, he went over to the sink and turned the water on.
He let the vegetables sit under the running water, sifting through them using his hand so that they would be evenly rinsed off, afterwards shutting it off and letting the droplets fall in the sink before going to the cutting board.
The whole time Wooyoung didn't speak, only listening to the faint humming that came from the taller who was dicing the meat (though he did have to look away when Seongwha dipped his finger into the small mess of blood on the plastic cutting board and place it into his mouth. Gross), and focused on his own tasks. Why were they so friendly with him? Maybe it was one against four other vampires in the house, one in which a newborn. Those were known to be adequately stronger compared to someone like San as they were still working at controlling themselves. Maybe it was the confidence that if Wooyoung tried something he'd be easily dealt with.
Still, Wooyoung felt off with how kind Seonghwa was treating him, even hearing a warning to be careful as he took one of the knives like he was some sort of mother. Beginning to cut up the greens, Wooyoung began to think about Yeosang again, hoping he hadn't woken up alone after he left for the night. He knew after what happened, being alone was probably the last thing he wanted—
"Shit!"
Wooyoung dropped the knife, the metal clanging on the wood floor and forgotten as he held his hand to his chest. Being distracted with his thoughts, he ended up giving his finger a nasty cut, the blood already dripping down his hand. From the smell alone, Seonghwa was at his side and grabbing his hand so he could get a look at it.
"Ouch. Let's get this under some cold water." He gently kicked the knife in the opposite direction to be picked up at a later time, bringing Wooyoung back to the sink where he held his hand under the cold water, the human flinching at first.
"Sorry, it's better to let it all drain down the sink. If Jongho even gets the smallest whiff he'll lose control of himself. He'd feel so guilty if he accidentally hurt you." Seonghwa turned his head. "Mingi!"
There were rushed steps, some stumbling and cursing and Mingi came into the kitchen. "Go to the bathroom and fetch me the bandaids please? We have a situation." He motioned to Wooyoung's hand. Mingi's eyes widened, nodding and dashed back out of the room, returning in an insanely short amount of time with a box of bandages.
"Should I take Jongho outside?"
Seonghwa shook his head, one hand continuing to hold Wooyoung's in place as the other wiped itself against his shirt and reached for the box. "No. I have it under control. I'll cover it up once the bleeding lightens up. But I'd appreciate it if you kept him out of the kitchen for a while?"
"Yes sir." Mingi nodded and left again, this time not returning. Most likely he went into whatever room Jongho resided in to keep his eyes on him.
After a couple of minutes, Seonghwa shut the water off and grabbed a couple of paper towels, drying Wooyoung's hand off and began to wrap a few bandaids nice and tightly around the cut finger. "There." He patted the back of his hand with a friendly smile. "All better!"
"Why are you being nice?" Bluntly asked, Wooyoung went over to where the knife had been kicked, picking it up and handing it to Seonghwa to be washed and put away, this time sitting at the table to watch the older work around the kitchen as he took over with everything.
"Well, you're a friend of our Sannie's."
Barely. He didn't say that aloud.
"A friend of his is a son of mine, and I keep my children safe." Wooyoung snorted, and Seonghwa whipped around with a raised brow.
"You sound like a parent."
"In a way I guess I am." Seonghwa said, drying the knife and then used it to finish what Wooyoung started. "We're our little family. We do what we can to keep each other safe. Even if you aren't one of us, I'd like to make sure you're completely safe here."
Wooyoung didn't respond, so Seonghwa returned to focusing on the meal, stirring the cooking meat in the pan. He reached up for some of the seasonings, though while he was sprinkling that over it, Mingi came back into the kitchen doorway.
"Jongho said his fangs are starting to ache again." He told the older, Seonghwa nodding and turning to Wooyoung's with a smile.
"I'm sure you can handle this on your own? I have to get to my baby bat. One thing about becoming a vampire is the first while your fangs get sore from not being used to their growth." Wooyoung surely could handle cooking. It was supposed to be for him after all, so he took over, and Seonghwa disappeared with Mingi to wherever Jongho was.
Though being alone didn't last long, because San came into the kitchen, sitting where he previously was. "How's your friend doing?" He asked to start up a conversation.
"Yeosang is fine." He said, and began opening cabinets to look for a plate when he deemed the food to be done. "He may get to go home the day after tomorrow."
"Yeah... about him returning home." Wooyoung went to the table with his food, sitting across from the vampire with a raised brow. "You and him should come stay with us for a couple of days, just so we can keep you two safe."
Wooyoung took offense to that. How dare he? He was a hunter! He was perfectly capable of keeping his best friend safe! "I'm appalled you think I can't keep him safe on my own."
"Oh I'm aware you can. But what are you going to do when you go out to work and leave Yeosang home alone? He has his scent, he could easily be tracked down in order to finish what was started."
Well, San did make a good point, as much as he hated to admit it. So when the day came and Yeosang was stable enough to be discharged, during the walk to his car was when he popped the news.
"So you mean to tell me to keep my safe from a vampire, we're sleeping in a house full of them?" Yeosang asked, skepticism on his face while he sat in the passenger seat and Wooyoung in the driver's.
"Just for a few days. I'll have a close eye on them." As if he would even have a chance against 6 vampires. "San explained their coven leader, Hongjoong? Hates feeding and murdering humans so he forbid it."
Yeosang didn't look totally convinced, and Wooyoung didn't blame him. "I promise it'll only be a week tops. The only reason we even have to stay in the first place is because every time they manage to pinpoint an exact location of Youngjae's whereabouts he's no longer there. Bastard moves around fast."
Wooyoung pulled up to the house, their stuff already packed in the backseats and when he got out, Yeosang trailed behind. He didn't even have to knock on the door, it swung open to show San. He most likely watched from the window. "I know it's not ideal." He said, mostly to Yeosang while holding the door wide enough for the two of them. "But here is probably the safest spot for you."
"Even though I could totally handle this on my own." Mumbled Wooyoung, mostly to himself. While San was shutting the door, Yeosang turned to give him a quick up and down look, able to focus more properly on him now that he wasn't as weak as their first encounter, then to Wooyoung.
"So is this the guy you told me about last year that you fu—"
"Okay!" Wooyoung clapped his hands together, the tips of his ears burning red as he grabbed Yeosang's arm. "Let me show you where you're staying." Yeosang groaned out, letting himself be dragged by Wooyoung up the stairs. San took the liberty to throw on a hoodie and head outside to fetch the humans' belongings, carrying the bags inside and laying them on the couch.
"Here we are." Wooyoung swung the door of the empty room, gently nudging Yeosang to go inside with him trailing behind.
"Damn, this is like one of those five star hotel rooms." Yeosang stepped up to the bed, sitting on the edge of it to get a good feel from it. "Maybe staying here won't be too bad after all." He stated more jokingly while Wooyoung sat next to him. Now that they had the privacy, without warning he yanked his friend into his arms. "Wh-!"
"Sorry." Wooyoung sighed, head falling on Yeosang's shoulders. "I just... I know I said this already but I need to say it again.. I'm glad you're okay." Yeosang's body relaxed, his hand moving to Wooyoung's tensed back. "The other day... seeing you nearly dead. I hated it. I don't know what I would do had I found you a minute too late."
"Don't think about the what ifs." Yeosang said, voice muffled by Wooyoung's blond hair as he nuzzled against it in a comforting way. "What matters in the end is you did find me, and you were able to get me help in time. I'm still here alive because of you."
"Only because San was able to help me get you in the car." He smacked his pec. "Which by the way, you owe me the money to get clean." Yeosang snorted.
"Yeah sure."
"I'm serious. It looks like a murder happened in that car, and I live in that thing ninety percent of the time."
"If you stop complaining about it, I'll happily pay for the cleaning."
Wooyoung finally lifted his head, offered Yeosang a smile and a pat to his shoulder. "You should get some rest. I know you're in the clear but I can tell you're still pretty exhausted."
"Is it the bags under my eyes?" Giggling, after Wooyoung got off the bed Yeosang tossed off the covers from the mattress and moved to lay under them, pulling them up to his shoulders.
"Seonghwa is cooking a huge meal tonight, so I'll wake you when it's ready." Heading to the door, he shut the light off for his friend and shut the door behind him. As he turned away from the door, his eyes found San.
"I was just coming to see how your friend was doing and if he needed anything."
"He's fine." He quickly told San. "He's laying down now. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go into my room." Wooyoung easily stepped past San to head into the room he would now be residing in for the next weekish.
"Wait," San spun around quickly, his hand grasping Wooyoung's forearm and causing him to stop in his footsteps. "Hongjoong wants to talk to you." He raised a brow at the mention of their coven's leader. "About Youngjae."
"Okay." Was all he said, letting San guide him to the living room, now occupied by Hongjoong and Seonghwa on the couch, the pink haired man's hand resting on the leader's thigh, giving it small squeezes. Nothing sexual, and when the human's presence was made known his hand was brought back, laid in his lap as he crossed one leg over the other.
"Ah, there you are." Hongjoong offered a kind smile, one that Wooyoung nodded in acknowledgment for. "How is your friend doing?"
"Fine. What is it you want to tell me?" Wooyoung sat on the opposite end of the couch from the couple, San leaning against the arm of it.
"Right to the point. Okay. You know every time we find Youngjae's location, by the time we get there he's already long gone." He nodded to let Hongjoong know he was listening. "We want to lure him out." The moment Hongjoong's eyes went towards the hallway that they had just come from, he knew what he was about to ask, and he was not happy with it.
"No." He said, not surprising the couple at all. "You are not using Yeosang for some silly plan. Who knows what could happen?"
"I know it's not ideal, but you have my word when I said we'll all be there to make sure Yeosang says safe—"
"I said no. End of story." He was angry that Hongjoong would even think of such an idea!
"If I may," Seonghwa interjected before an argument could ensue, a hand on Hongjoong's shoulder while his other was held out in Wooyoung's direction as the human stood up. "Maybe we don't need to use Yeosang as the bait here." Seonghwa looked to Hongjoong, and with his head motioned to Wooyoung. San seemed to catch on quickly, moving from the arm of the couch to now sitting next to Wooyoung, though keeping space between them.
"I think I know what you're getting at." San stated. "He lures people in through online dating. Wooyoung creates a profile and matches with him and plans a date?"
"Exactly!" The three vampires turned to the human. "What do you say?"
"Well, Yeosang and I are the only humans here. But unlike him I have a bit of expertise when it comes to luring vampires in." His eyes did flicker to San momentarily.
With a plan set, Wooyoung got to work with downloading and creating a profile. It only took a couple of days for him to match with Youngjae and for them to start up a conversation. No wonder Yeosang easily fell into his trap, with his way of words as he complimented Wooyoung's beauty, telling him he had never met someone truly as mesmerizing as he, and was willing to do what he could to be able to give him the spoiling he deserved by taking him out for a meal.
"Bingo."
And that's how that weekend, Wooyoung was in Yeosang's room getting help with his makeup and even picking out an outfit.
"If this weren't to purposely trap him, I'd say he's a lucky bastard for getting to take you out." San said, a whistle coming from him when Wooyoung took a step into the living room when Yeosang was "finished with his masterpiece".
"Well if we succeed I'll potentially consider on maybe letting you take me out." Wooyoung said as he shoved his phone into the small bag that went with his outfit after sending Youngjae the text that he would be leaving shortly.
"Well lucky me then." San grinned, opening the door for Wooyoung. "We'll be right behind you and watching you." He told him as he followed Wooyoung towards his car, even opening the door for him after he had unlocked it with the button on his keys.
"Jongho will be staying with Yeosang."
"But we don't have to worry about him being found if Youngjae will be with me tonight?" Wooyoung raised a brow, rolling his window down as he turned the car on to let San stick his head through the now opened window so they could continue their conversation.
"Yeah, but he was insistent just in case." San spoke in quotations. "I think it's because our little bat developed a small crush on your friend." San raised his hands when Wooyoung glared at him. "Hey, it might not mean much for you but I can vouch that Jongho wouldn't do anything to Yeosang like Youngjae did, should anything happen between them."
He sighed, and after San pulled away from the window he bid his goodbyes with a wave, and told him he would let him know when they left the restaurant, and pulled away from the house. Wooyoung had insisted to Youngjae they didn't have to go too overly fancy, much to the vampire's dismay and suggested something more... casual.
They compromised, which was how Wooyoung ended up pulling into one of those Japanese hibachi restaurants. At least the experience would be interesting, he never got to come to one of these places (though he never went to many with how he traveled. He really only got to eat a home cooked meal when he was staying with Yeosang. Outside of that, it was usually takeout or if he was feeling fancy, diner food).
Wooyoung pulled out his phone after he pulled in to let Youngjae know he had arrived, and was given a reply back, telling him he could go in and that he was waiting for him.
Well, here goes nothing.
He did a little check, to make sure his makeup wasn't smudged in the little mirror before getting out of the car, locking the doors and going inside. It was the weekend, so the restaurant had been packed so finding Youngjae made it a little difficult, but a hand up in the air waving got his interest, turning his head, he found Youngjae already sitting at a booth. Taking a deep breath, Wooyoung forced the most genuine excited smile he could as he made his way over. "Sorry I couldn't get us a table in front of a grill. Maybe we should have planned a date during the week."
"That's alright." Wooyoung waved off the idea, offering a quick little side hug when Youngjae got up to greet him. "I work on the weekdays anyway. I would be an inconvenience."
"Ah, that's right. You did mention that." Youngjae sat back in the booth, Wooyoung sitting across from him and placing his bag in his lap. "What was it that you do again? I'm not sure if you ever told me. Getting to see your face in person makes me want to learn absolutely everything about you."
"Please, it's nothing special." Wooyoung hid his mouth behind his hand as he giggled at the compliment. "I work as a photographer, so I get to travel and take pictures wherever I go."
Well, it was somewhat true. When Wooyoung traveled, if he had some free time he'd walk around and take photos to show to Yeosang when he traveled back home.
"Fascinating." Youngjae put his chin in his hand, a big smile on his face. "I'd love to see your work sometimes, I bet you've traveled to many places."
"Mhmm! But enough about me." Wooyoung copied Youngjae. "I'd love to learn about you."
"Well, actually at the moment I'm at a career crisis, you know? When you think you're passionate about something, but the more you get into it, you find out you just fit for it."
"I know that a little too well." They shared a laugh, and when a server came around, Wooyoung requested water to drink. He didn't particularly feel like being tipsy while on a mission. When they ordered their food, as they waited they just... talked. Wooyoung over the years learned how to perfect his lies. Anything Youngjae asked him, he would easily lie his responses, giving genuine reactions to trick Youngjae to believe them. When they finished eating and the bill was paid, while wiping his mouth the vampire perked up.
"Would you like to go on a little walk before we end our date? It's a lovely night out." Youngjae reached over to take his hand, his thumb caressing Wooyoung's knuckles. "Of course, it's not as lovely as you."
Had he not known that his words meant nothing, Wooyoung would have gotten butterflies in his stomach. He was already nodding. "Just let me use the restroom first, I will meet you outside?" With a nod, Youngjae went towards the exit, meanwhile Wooyoung went into the bathroom. When the door shut, he took a quick look under the stalls, to make sure there was nobody in the room with him before letting out a long sigh. Dialing San's number, Wooyoung pressed the phone to his ear.
"Hello?" San answered after three rings.
"We're leaving now." He spoke, tucking his phone between his cheek and shoulder to at least wash his hands from dinner. "Watch my location, got it."
"Yes sir." San seemed amused on the other end. He rolled his eyes, but he heard San's voice just before he pulled his phone away to hang up. "Be careful, please."
"This isn't my first rodeo, San." He told him while grabbing a couple of paper towels, drying off his hands and tossed them into the trash can. "I've done similar things like this in the past. Should either of you not arrive on time, I can handle myself."
"I just want to make sure.. You better go. Don't keep him waiting too long." Click.
Wooyoung put his phone away after that, and left the bathroom and heading outside. As expected, Youngjae waited for him, leaned against the wall of the restaurant but seeing Wooyoung coming up to him, he smiled brightly, pushing off of it and holding out his hand for him, which he took.
Cold. As expected. "Sorry if my hand is cold." Youngjae said as they began their walk.
"That's okay." Wooyoung lifted up their hands and covered the back of it with his own, rubbing them together as a way to attempt to warm them up. "The weather is a little nippy anyway. So let's try not to stay out too much longer."
"Sounds good to me." With a simple nod, Wooyoung dropped their intertwined hands. Being the weekend, the streets were a little more crowded, but nothing like it would have been in the main areas of the city. Wooyoung kept close to Youngjae, with an easy lie as to say he was getting a little too cold for comfort.
At one point after Wooyoung complained for a third time, his head turned down into one of the dark alleyways, and then to Wooyoung, like he had some sort of idea. "I think I know a quick way to warm you right up... If you're okay with that?"
This was it. He thought to himself. He nodded at Youngjae's question, letting the vampire lead him down the alley, the further they went the darker it had gotten. Once it was deemed safe, his hand pulled from Wooyoung's, now on the human's waist as he pushed him into the wall. Youngjae's cold lips crashed into Wooyoung's in a fiery kiss, one that made a surprised noise come from him. This was probably how he got Yeosang. The idea filled him with anger while he tilted his head, one of his arms wrapping tight around his neck, fingers slithering into his black hair and gripping onto it, his other hand grasping onto Youngjae's shoulder, nails digging into the fabric of his dress shirt. He even went the extra mile and hiked up one of his legs to hook around his waist, holding him as close as he could.
Youngjae's grip tightened on his waist, enough to let out a pained gasp as their kiss broke, his lips finding their way to Wooyoung's neck, to kiss and such. He could even feel his fangs start to press to his neck—
It happened way too fast, San came running at an inhumane speed, with enough force to yank Youngjae away and knock Wooyoung to the ground with a loud oof coming from him. His time on the ground was short lived, because Seonghwa had crouched to his side, gently grabbing him by the elbows and helping him to his feet. "Are you okay?" He held his cheeks in his hands, checking him for any bites, eyes lingering around his neck to search for two puncture holes.
"I'm fine." Wooyoung pulled out of Seonghwa's hold. "It's not like it would be my first time being bitten." Referring to San, he turned to find San on top of Youngjae, his hands holding the struggling vampire's wrists, his face just mere inches from his and, my, he was growling.
"I have a feeling the guys can handle him on their own." Seonghwa was gently tugging at his arms, Hongjoong and the others had since joined up with San, trying to pull the man off of the other.
"No, I want to watch him pay for hurting Yeosang—"
"Go."
Wooyoung didn't expect the tone of voice to come out of San, never had he ever heard him so angry. "I don't want you to see this."
All it took was a swift look over his shoulder, and Wooyoung was giving in, swallowing the lump that began to form in the back of his throat as he let Seonghwa bring him back to where his car had been left at the restaurant, keys handed to him so he would drive them back. Yeosang greeted them at the door as they walked in. "You're not hurt are you?" He first asked while Wooyoung sat on the couch. He shook his head, a relieved sigh coming from the older as he took a seat next to Wooyoung.
It felt eerily awkward, even when the others had returned home, Wooyoung not failing to see that San was the one mostly covered in a layer of blood. "Not mine." Was all he mumbled before he disappeared upstairs to clean up.
Wooyoung decided he'd turn in as well, bidding Yeosang and the others a quick goodnight and went up the stairs, passing by the bathroom where he could hear the running showerhead. He sat on his bed for a while before even making the attempt at changing from his outfit, wiping off his makeup with makeup removers. Though while he slipped a sleep shirt on, he heard a knock, and before he could ask who it was, the door was opened, finding San stepping into the room.
"Sorry about that." San said, shutting the door behind him. Wooyoung could only guess what he was apologizing for, sitting on the edge of his bed, San remained by the door until Wooyoung patted the spot next to him.
"Don't be. Getting him down was our plan wasn't it?" He shrugged, moving to cross his legs. San nodded, but then he sighed.
"Well, yeah. But the way I handled it definitely wasn't." He turned to Wooyoung slowly. "Hongjoong had a whole plan, but watching you with Youngjae.. it pissed me off. I began running before Hongjoong could stop me."
Wooyoung blinked.
"Were.. you jealous?"
San doesn't reply at first. But then he nodded. Wooyoung soon found himself chuckling, even grinning.
"Don't laugh!" San whined, even lightly smacking Wooyoung shoulder but before he pulled his hand back, Wooyoung grabbed him by his wrist.
"It's a little stupid for you to be jealous." He yanked him over until Wooyoung fell back, San on top of him with a little noise of surprise coming from him, his free hand bracing himself against the mattress so their heads wouldn't collide with each other. "It was all fake."
"I know! But.."
"You wished it was you?"
Again, silence. But when he nodded, Wooyoung took it upon himself to place his other hand on San's cheek. "Well, then consider this as my thank you present for helping me out, and keeping me safe."
"Wh—"
Wooyoung didn't let him respond, and leaned upward to press his lips to San's, in a similar way he had with Youngjae, but this time no hatred filled him. San reacted quickly, returning the kiss with as much energy, slowly moving them until they were both laying on their sides, chests pressed against each other. The hand that was being held by Wooyoung was ripped out of his hold to instead hold his waist, his fingers dancing along the end of his shirt before reaching under it, to press against his skin. He made no attempt at taking Wooyoung's shirt off, not wanting to overstep any boundaries. One of Wooyoung's arms reached around, holding San by his neck while the other held his bicep, squeezing the muscle and couldn't help the little moan that came from him when San shifted them again, their hips brushed against each other.
The door to his room opened.
"Hey, you forgot you— Oh."
Yeosang's jaw dropped as Wooyoung nearly jumped away from San, nearly falling off the bed if it weren't for San grabbing him by his arm, him having sat up.
"It's not— It's not what it looks like." Wooyoung started to wave his hands around before Yeosang could start assuming what their plans were. Even so, he didn't seem to believe him, the smirk on his face as he set his phone that he left in the living room on the dresser that was next to the door.
"Hey, you don't need to lie. I was just dropping your phone off. Goodnight Youngie~ Be safe!"
"We weren't—!"
Yeosang shut the door behind him, Wooyoung groaning when he heard Yeosang's laughing grow quieter as he went towards his room.
"I'm never going to hear the end of this." He lowered his head, the silence thick between them before San was standing up.
"I think I'll, uh, leave you be."
"Yeah, that's probably best." When he finally lifted his head up, San was already halfway to the door. "So... tomorrow?"
"What?"
"For our date? I did promise after all this shit I'd consider letting you take me out on one. Maybe this time not ending in possible death?"
San smiled, eyes turned into crescents as he nodded. "Yeah, of course. Goodnight, Wooyoung."
"Night, San."
