Love is Blind (SEONGJOONG)

Hongjoong has learned to live with this sort of life style; blindness that is. It was something he had been born with, and as a child growing up he learned to adapt. He once wished he could be normal like all the children he had met. But it was useless to wish on something that just could not simply come true.

He learned to just deal with it, honestly it wasn't all that bad. He didn't have to see if people were giving him any judgmental looks. He could focus on what he was busy with. Which at that time, it was texting his mother. Yes, a blind person texting. Odd huh?

Well not really, having his phone set to tell him everything he was doing, he was able to easily text his mother, to reassure her he was fine.

It was his first day in university, and after many weeks of begging his mother she eventually agreed to let him move into the dorms. And so far everything was alright. With help from his over worrying mother he was able to move into his new room. He was sitting on the edge of his bed, his stuff already unpacked and put away. Again, all thanks to his mom. He knew he had a roommate, all dorms were required for two students each, as much as his mother protested he should have his own space.

He denied it of course. Besides. Maybe this could be his chance at making new friends? He never really had many growing up so it woupd be nice to finally start making friends. He set his phone down once he heard his text had gone through, before he was plopping his back against his mattress. His eyes shut, and had the biggest smile on his face.

Sure, he was going to miss his family, and the idea of being on his own now, although exciting, it was equally terrifying as well. The sound of the dorm door opening had him sit back up, the sound of shuffling coming into the room, and then he heard a voice.

"Oh!" The voice was deep, he liked it. "You must be my roommate." Hongjoong gave a smile. "My name is Seonghwa." He listened as footsteps grew closer to him, before they suddenly stopped.

"Nice to meet you Seonghwa." Hongjoong said, even giving a tiny nod. "I'm Hongjoong." He would turn his head in the direction he assumed Seonghwa must of been.

Silence filled between them for a moment, before Seonghwa would speak up. "Well? Are you gonna shake my hand?"

...

Oh!

His hand immediately lifted up, feeling around a bit before it smacked against Seonghwa's, and took his hand with both of his own. "Oh god. I'm so sorry, I swear I'm not rude." He was already apologizing. "I can't see, so I wasn't aware you wanted to shake hands-"

"Wait, really?" Seonghwa interrupted him from continuing spewing out apologies. Joong, with Seonghwa's hand still in his nodded. "Yeah, I'm completely blind." He knew Seonghwa must of had a saddened expression on his face. They always had one when he would admit he was blind, so he would stop him if he was going to attempt to apologize.

"It's okay. I've been this way since I was born. No hard feelings okay?" Giving Seonghwa's hand a light squeeze of assurance, he let it go and instead listened as Seonghwa walked around the dorm, probably so that he could unpack his own belongings.

Knock knock.

Hongjoong had just finished dressing himself when he heard the knock on the dorm door. "I got it." Seonghwa proclaimed, and would head over so that he could answer it. "Oh! Hello. I'm just here to take Hongjoong to his classes." Ah, it must of been his guide. He felt like he didn't need one, hut it was probably best, at least until he could get a good feel around the campus.

That. And it made his mother feel better about leaving him on his own.

He would shut his drawer, and with hands out he would feel around until he felt the sheets of his bed, where his cane was he used to get around, and the glasses he would wear when going out, and then bent down to feel around and grab his bag. Once ready, he would straighten himself up.

"Okay, I'm ready." He called, turning to the direction of the door and headed over. The dorm was small, just big enough for two people so he already had a mental map of where things were. He felt an arm link around his own, and gently was pulled out the dorm. "See you later Seonghwa!" He would holler before vanishing down the hall.

"Hey, he was cute." He heard the male next to him whisper over to him, making Hongjoong raise his brows. "Hopefully he's into guys." The male giggled, making him shake his head, already grabbing his glasses once he felt the cool lightly warm air hit his face, making him realize they were now outside.

With his cane out, he would use that to feet around, make sure he wouldn't walk into any poles or benches, though that was sort of the point to his guide. "You know." Hongjoong would start a conversation as they turned a corner. Okay. So ten steps once outside, then turn right.

"You never gave me your name when you know mine."

"Oh!" He heard the man give a laugh before they had stopped walking all together, feeling his hand getting grabbed and shook vigorously in a handshake. "Shit, my bad. We'll be with each other a lot so you should know my name. I'm Wooyoung!"

Wooyoung. Okay. Hongjoong smiled and nodded before they started their walk again, menally counting each step he would take with Wooyoung. By the fiftieth step, his cane came in content with something hard, and suddenly the two had stopped walking. He would hit whatever it was with it a couple of times, hearing the clank that came from none other than glass. It must of been a window, or glass door.

Gently getting pulled back, Wooyoung had opened grabbed the door, opening it. The blast of the air conditioning hit Hongjoong straight on, and was pulled inside. Okay. So ten steps once outside of the dorm building, take a right. Take fifty more steps, that's where the main building must be. Pulled down a hall, they would take a left, and before Hongjoong knew it, he was placed by a chair.

"There we go!" He heard Wooyoung as he plopped into the empty chair next to Hongjoong, who set his bag down and sat down himself.

Well, let's hope his first day in uni is as good as he's been hoping that it would be.

So far, it goes as how he had expected it to, normal. In between classes he at one point had to call his mother, to reassure him
He was okay, his guide.. although quite chaotic, and definitely loved to talk, was helping him just fine.

The two actually got along quite well, Wooyoung told him about his own life, and about his brothers. He was a middle child, meaning he didn't get a lot of his parents attention, he didn't mind! He also talked more and more about where he was from, which Hongjoong listened closely.

By lunch hour, Hongjoong was getting dragged out by Wooyoung, who explained he knew a really cute little coffee shop they could eat at. "Besides, there's a barista there I see time to time. Cutest guy ever!" Hongjoong would chuckle at his words.

"Do you think everybody you know is cute?" He questioned, but instead of a yes or no he received a giggle. "Yeah, but this guy is super cute, like cute enough to take in bed."

Hongjoong's expression scrunched up. That was something he really didn't think he needed to do. Either way, he let himself get dragged by his guide, making sure to count his steps the second they were outside.

Okay. Fifty steps forward, then turn right. He assume they must of been on a sidewalk, sounds of rushing cara filling his left ear.

Twenty steps. Stop.

"Wait."

An automated voice was heard. They must be at a crosswalk. He'd wait with Wooyoung, and that familiar pull of his arm got him moving again, his cane gliding along the street until it hit the pavement to signal they reached the other side of the street.

It took roughly ninety five steps before Wooyoung's loud "We're here!" Was heard.

The strong smell of coffee hit him, it was almost overwhelming.

"The line is long, lunch hour most likely. Do you want to sit at a table and I get the food for us?" Hongjoong turned his head to face Wooyoung's direction, and nodded. Being guided to a table, he felt around until he found the closest seat. There he'd sit, and when situated, he assumed Wooyoung had walked away.

Puffing his cheeks out, to pass the time until Wooyoung's return, he'd pull his phone out.

Not wanting to really bother anyone around him- if there was any, he felt for his bag he rested by his feet. Digging through, he'd grab the ear buds he always had, plugging them into his phone and placing them into his ears. He knew his mother must of been wondering if he was doing okay, so he decided to send her a quick text.

'Everything is fine so far, no need to worry. I can feel it all the way here.'

It took exactly thirty seconds for a response.

'You know I'll always worry about my baby. But as long as I know you're fine I'll manage.'

He smiled at the text response, almost failing to hear a voice he semi recognized.

"Oh, Hongjoong?"

Ah, Seonghwa. The sounds of a chair scraping was heard directly in front of him. He must have sat down across from him. "What are you doing here?"

"My guide Wooyoung brought me here, and told me about one of the baristas being cute."

Seonghwa had snorted. "Yeah, he's definitely trying to get his flirt on or whatever. He's leaned over the counter and everything. And it even looks like it's working."

The description given had Hongjoong laughing.

"So how's college life going so far? Hopefully it's not too hard given..." Seonghwa didn't want to finish his sentence, but Hongjoong had an idea of what he meant.

"It's fine. I appreciate your concern, but you don't have to worry for me like that. I've always had to handle class work like this. Something I'm always used to. Besides." His finger tapped on the screen of his phone.

"I always voice record my lessons in case I need a refresher. But Wooyoung also does a good job at helping me, especially with notes. He copies his own onto a laptop that he gives me at the end of the day for me to listen to through text to speech for after school studying."

He knew he was probably babbling and possibly boring Seonghwa, but much to his surprise, Seonghwa listened to every word he was saying, even giving little 'mhmm's every so often to confirm Hongjoong that he was still listening to him.

"That sounds fascinating. I'm glad you have someone like him to help you."

"Yeah, even if he is getting paid for it. He's rambunctious but means well."

Speaking of Wooyoung, here he came rushing over and sat next to Hongjoong.

"Wasn't sure what you wanted, so got the same I usually get here, hope you don't mind!" Hongjoong wasn't a picky person so he really didn't. A cup was placed in his hands, and went to take a sip when he found the straw.

"You know." Seonghwa would start up a conversation. "I do know the barista you're trying to woo." Wooyoung gasped, and had already scooted over to Seonghwa.

"His name's San, he used to be a student here but dropped out last semester because of how expensive it is. But he still attends frat parties. There's actually one I know about he's going to this weekend hosted by Yeosang's dormmate Yunho at his boyfriend's house. I plan on going too, just come by our dorm Saturday at eight and I'll take you." Wooyoung's squee he let out was evident that he was excited, as he had went to move back next to Hongjoong to return to their lunch.

As promised, Wooyoung came to their dorm precisely at eight that following weekend. Hongjoong was sitting at his little desk working on homework.

"Hongjoong would you like to go too?" Hongjoong turned his head hearing Seonghwa, and bit his lip. "Ah, I'm not sure.. I don't exactly do parties. I've never even drank before-"

"Oh come on! It'll be fun, Seonghwa and I will be by your side the whole time!" Wooyoung was vigorously shaking Hongjoong's arm, almost enough to pull him out of his chair.

"Alright alright! But I don't want to stay long, okay?"

Two 'okay's had been heard from both Seonghwa and Wooyoung. Each of them taking his arms to guide him to the exit, and to what he assumed was either Seonghwa's or Wooyoung's car, and helped into his seat.

He assumed it was most likely the back seat he was placed in, as Seonghwa and Wooyoung's voices were heard up front, the feeling of the car roaring to life to drive to wherever this party was being hosted at.

The drive wasn't far, before he knew it he was helped out the car, and pulled inside. The booming music was almost too much for him, having to pull his hands away from both men to cover his ears. Jeez, were parties really this loud? He could barely tell who was talking to him, at least until his hand got pulled away and Seonghwa was heard in his ear.

"Sorry. The speakers are in the living room. Let's go in the kitchen. Music usually isn't that loud in here." With a nod, Hongjoong allowed himself to be guided around the crowd, and thankfully, Seonghwa was right. The music wasn't nearly as loud as it was there. But the amount of voices surrounding him had his nerves spiking. "There, sorry. Mingi works in the music industry, so he had professional equipment for parties. Are you okay?"

Hongjoong took a moment to respond, but nodded, keeping his hand tight on Seonghwa's wrist. "Where's Wooyoung?"

"With San, don't worry, I'm not gonna leave you okay?" With his promise, Hongjoong felt a bit more at ease. Wooyoung was nowhere to be found so the only person he knew around him was the man he was clinging onto. He would be guided over to the counter where he could sit on. "You want something to drink? There's water too. You don't need to drink any alcohol if you're not comfortable with that."

The question had him nodding. "Water, please."

With a gentle nudge, Hongjoong reluctantly let go of Seonghwa so he could fetch him some water and maybe even something for himself to drink. And he won't lie, being surrounded by so many noises coming from different people was alarming. Maybe coming to this party was a bad idea-

"Well hey there. You here alone?"

That voice was surely not from the people he came here with. The smell of alcohol was strong from the stranger. Drunk definitely. He felt hands on his thighs and made his entire body freeze up.

"What, can't even respond?" The voice got closer, his legs being shoved apart so whoever this man was could settle in between them.

"Come on. No need to be shy, maybe a drink or two will warm you up?"

"I-"

Words were caught in his throat, he had no idea what to say or do. He was never places in a situation like this! Breathing became rapid, he was close to just going crazy. Maybe the guy would leave him alone.

"Hey, sorry. He came with me. Back off."

Oh thank god. Seonghwa's voice rang in the air as the man was quick to back off, muttering a quick apology before was heading off to most likely bother someone else. A hand took his own, which he knew was Seonghwa's and relief flooded him.

"I shouldn't have came- I'm sorry but I want to go home-" Words were spewing out of Hongjoong as he hopped off the counter, Seonghwa had to grab onto his shoulders before he coupd try and run off. "Okay okay. We can go back home okay? I'm sorry. It'll be okay."

Seonghwa was kind enough to help him back to the car- Which he confirmed to be Seonghwa's  and would be driven back to the dorms, and guided back inside where he was left alone in the safety of his bed so Seonghwa could return to the party.

Needless to say, Hongjoong felt guilty for making him drive him all the way back just because he got too uncomfortable.

No one spoke about the party ever since it passed. But Wooyoung always mentioned San whenever he would pick him up. "God he's such a sweet guy, seriously! And my god is he good in bed!"

Wooyoung never really did learn to keep certain topics to himself. Hongjoong just shook his head.

Weeks into the school year, the weather, once almost alarmingly warm grew colder as the winter season was close upon them. Hongjoong always dreaded walking to classes every mornings from the bitter cold. But at least winter break was coming up, so he'd get to go home for the next couple of weeks!

"So what are you plans for Christmas?" Hongjoong heard Seonghwa, so he had closed looked up from the book he was focused on, fingers over the braille lettering so he wouldn't lose his spot.

"Home most likely, my mom's been messaging me how excited she is to have her baby home. I assume the same for you?"

It was a given people normally go home for the holidays, but hearing Seonghwa's answer surprised him.

"Ah.. no. Actually I was thinking of maybe staying with Yunho and Mingi. They're spending their Christmas with each other."

Hongjoong tilted his head. "What about your parents? I'm sure they'll miss you."

There was an awkward silence between them, Hongjoong was about to apologize if he maybe hit a soft spot but Seonghwa stopped him.

"Ah, they don't really talk to me after I came out to them when I graduated high school." And again, more silence. But the crack from Seonghwa's voice told Hongjoong it affected him quite a bit. Without even taking a second thought of the idea he spot up.

"Come with me." He said, slowly pulling his hand away after deciding he'd just look for his spot later, he stood from the chair.

"Oh but I can't intrude like that-"

"I insist." Slowly stepping up to Seonghwa until he was close enough.

"My father was never around, so it's always been me and my mom. And growing up I never brought friends over, I'm sure she would be overjoyed for me to finally bring one home."

Seonghwa would eventually give in, mostly from the pout given, but either way the following week, rather than his mom being the one to pick him up, Hongjoong surprised him by having Seonghwa drive them to his place.

And, aa expected his mother was overjoyed when they got out of the car, after giving Hongjoong a bone crushing hug, she rushed to Seonghwa to shake his hand, before helping Hongjoong inside and on the couch and left with Seonghwa to bring in their bags.

"I'm so glad my Joongie finally has a friend he can rely on, all the kids used to make fun of him for his disability!"

"Mommmm." Hongjoong was quite embarrassed she was pretty much admitting his life story to Seonghwa. But he only found it endearing.

"I don't care whether he can see or not, he's still a nice person who I get along with well. I only hope to grow closer to him now that we aren't so swamped with assignments and exams."

Since it was only ever him and his mom, they didn't really have a room for Seonghwa to crash in, so his mom had to go all out just to buy an inflatable mattress for Seonghwa to sleep on on the floor of Hongjoong's room.

"I'm sorry you have to sleep on the floor the next few weeks." Hongjoong apologized for probably the third time that night as he was finally getting himself situated in his bed, the familiar scent of his blankets and pillows always a welcoming thing for him.

"You don't have to apologize. Seriously, I don't mind. This is a comfortable air mattress." Being reassured, Hongjoong nodded before moving to lay down, shutting his eyes after telling Seonghwa goodnight.

Well, evidently the following morning, Hongjoong woke up at the usual time, completely forgetting he was not alone in his room. Could you blame him? Coming in and out of his room for years, he knew the layout like the back of his own hand, but unfortunately seemed to forget the big ass air mattress that was in the middle of his room. So, when he went to use the bathroom, he ended up tripping. Unable to catch himself, he ended up falling on top of Seonghwa, who woke up with a start.

Panicked, Hongjoong scrambled to get off of him. "Oh my god I'm so sorry Hwa I completely forget the bed was there and I tripped and oh my god I hope I didn't hurt you-"

Seonghwa, who had already sat up, looked at the panicked boy before was bursting into a fit of laughter, even holding his stomach. "Well, that's certainly a start to wake up to." The joke had Hongjoong calming down a little, and when his hands were grabbed he was helped to his feet.

"I'm fine Hongjoong. Normally someone isn't sleeping in the middle of your bedroom, plus I'm not injured."

Light squeezed were given to each of his hands before a hand gently rested on his cheek. "God, you're cute when you're embarrassed, you know that?"

Well, Hongjoong was about to get a whole lot cuter.

"Happy new year!"

Claps and cheers were heard in the little house, even party poppers given by Hongjoong's mother were popped.

Honestly, Hongjoong was having the time of his life, having Seonghwa home with him. It sucked the following weekend they were be returning to college to resume their classes. When cheering died down, Hongjoong helped the best he could with picking up the streamers, some even managed to make their way into the crevices of the couch. How?

His mother would turn in shortly after, leaving Seonghwa and Hongjoong on their own to relax until eventually they as well would turn in.

"Joong?"

He perked at the nickname, turning to Seonghwa's direction. "Mm?"

"Have you ever been kissed on new years?" His heart immediately started to pound. Why suddenly ask that and why suddenly was the room starting to get hot-?

He shook his head.

"Me neither.. can we.. you know...?"

Hongjoong didn't need Seonghwa to finish his question to get the memo. Nodding his head, he felt the couch shift, and suddenly hands were rested on his cheeks, guiding him closer and soon enough, Seonghwa's lips were on his.

And god, they were soft. He found himself melting into the kiss, his own hands reaching up, covering Seonghwa's and returning the kiss.

Not only was it his first new year's kiss, it was his first kiss in general!

As quick as the kiss came, it ended just as fast. But man did he want ro kiss Seonghwa again. Though before he could try, he felt Seonghwa pull back and move to stand.

"It's late, let's go to bed."

Hongjoong puffed out his cheeks, but obliged.

They never spoke of the kiss after that, even weeks back into the semester. And it made Hongjoong a little upset. And the worst thing was he didn't even know why he was upset. People kissed on news years all the time! So why did the kiss shared between them feel different?

Was it because since that point, any time the other's voice was heard, or even the mere mention of him had butterflies all over in his stomach? He never had this feeling before, and he had to admit it was weird...

During lunch, Hongjoong and Wooyoung would stop by their usual spot; San's café, and when food was brought over, Hongjoong sipped at his coffee and expressed everything he had been feeling whenever Seonghwa was mentioned or around.

"Aw, you have a crush!" He was sure people were staring at the two of them thanks to Wooyoung's loud voice, and quickly he reached to clamp his hand over his mouth, or wherever his hand was. It felt like his eyes. Quickly moving his hand where it was supposed to go, Hongjoong shushed him.

"God, can't you use your inside voice for once? It's like you're trying to embarrass me." Hongjoong's hand got smacked away but quickly grabbed.

"But it's so cute! You like Seonghwa! Awh you two would be an adorable couple!" Wooyoung gasped, before Hongjoong's arm was being shook.

"Let's go on a double date! Me and San with you and Seonghwa!"

Wooyoung didn't even give room for arguing on the subject he was running back in line to give San the idea. Quite honestly, Hongjoong thought he should have just kept his mouth shut.

And of course, when dropped at his dorm for the afternoon, Wooyoung obviously had to tell Seonghwa.

"Let's all go out this weekend to a nice dinner! It would be fun!"

Although Seonghwa originally planned to go to another party Yunho and Mingi was hosting, to keep Wooyoung from pestering him, he agreed.

And when alone, Seonghwa turned to Hongjoong. "Why is he suddenly asking me to go out to dinner with all four of us?"

Hongjoong only gave a shrug and hoped Seonghwa wouldn't ask further questions. Because Hongjoong never was good at lying

And thankfully, he didn't. When the weekend came rolling around, Hongjoong had gotten dressed, and grabbed Seonghwa's hand, deciding since his roommate would be with him, he could leave his cane by his bedside. Besides, what's the worst that could happen.

Seonghwa answered the door when there was a knock, familiar voices coming through the door. "Joongie, I know I talked about San a lot but I don't think I properly introduce you guys! Sannie this is Hongjoong, the guy I help around~"

Hongjoong gave a friendly smile, lifting his hand first, and when feeling another take it, he'd shake it, assuming it was San's.

"It's nice to meet you, San. Wooyoung tells me.. a lot about you."

"You as well."

Hongjoong dropped San's hand, and let Seonghwa guide him outside. To not waste so much on gas, they all got into San's car, he and Seonghwa in the back, Wooyoung up front with the other. Hongjoong was nervous. Never in his life had he gone on a date. Would he mess up? Oh god what if he embarrassed himself and ruined the night for everyone-

He felt a squeeze to his hand, and knew it had to be Seonghwa. "You know, I don't think I ever went out like this before. It's nice."

Oh god, was this Seonghwa's first date too?

He squeezed Hwa's hand as well, but didn't give a verbal response.

He felt the car stop and eventually be turned off, signaling they must have arrived. Hongjoong got out of the car, and when he felt Seonghwa taking his hand, he followed him, who followed the other two inside of the restaurant they were taken to.

"Nothing too fancy, hope none of you mind." San was heard.

"We're college students, this is probably the fanciest we get get."

Wooyoung's joke caused everyone, even himself to laugh because god, that hit home. Getting seated in a booth, Seonghwa would slide in first and allow Hongjoong to sit at the end in case he needed to get out quickly and easily, Wooyoung and San sitting across from them.

Although menus were given, the three opening theirs up Hongjoong was left sitting there a bit awkwardly. He cleared his throat, which caught Seonghwa's attention.

"Oh my god- I'm so sorry. Here, I'll read what they have to offer."

Hongjoong appreciated the offer, letting Seonghwa name off the things that were available for them to eat.

From the sounds of it, they seemed to be at a retro type diner. So, he would get something simple.

And that, was the one and beat choice, chicken tenders and fries. Can never go wrong with that right? He even decided to splurge and get a strawberry milkshake.

"Strawberry is my favorite. I may get one as well." Seonghwa suggested, and of course, Wooyoung had to give his input.

"Just get two straws!"

He could tell his face went red, and assumed maybe Seonghwa's was the same.

"Would you mind that?"

He shook his head. So, they ordered a strawberry milkshake and asked for two straws before ordering their meals. The server was gone, and although he obviously couldn't see it, Hongjoong just knew that Wooyoung was looking at him. It had him raising a brow but didn't question on it.

Drinks were given first, and their milkshake was set in between he and Seonghwa, two straws as well. Seonghwa took then, opening them and placed them both into the milkshake

He slowly leaned over so he could take the first sip of the drink, sweet and a hint of strawberry filled up his mouth. God it had been so long since he last had something like this.

He heard the sound of a camera, and perked hearing the two in front of him giggling.

"Aw, they're drinking a milkshake together~"

He blinked before realizing Seonghwa must of been sipping at it too, covering his face at the sudden embarrassment he turned away from the three. He even whined, and the movement next to him made him assume Seonghwa was embarrassed as well.

But heard Seonghwa whisper over, what he said was something he didn't hear, but he had a feeling he was asking Wooyoung to send him the picture that was taken.

Food got brought, and Hongjoong was happy to dig in, as the others as well since discussions were short, too busy eating. It wasn't until halfway through the meal, Hongjoong excused himself to the bathroom after asking the server where it was.

"Do you need help getting there?" Seonghwa was asking as Hongjoong crawled out of the booth.

"It's okay. She said it's just straight down when I get up. I can handle it on my own." Flashing a smile, he would head in the direction as said.

He kept his movements slow, hands grazing the booths so he made sure he was still going straight. Though for him, someone from one of the other booths was getting up, and because Hongjoong wasn't expecting it, he ended up running right into the male, knocking not only himself, but the stranger over.

"Watch where you're going, dickhead!" An angry middle aged man was heard, Hongjoong quickly reaching for something to help himself up, which had been an arm.

"I-I'm sorry- I didn't mean it- I didn't see you-"

"Didn't see me?" His voice was just getting more angry.

"Hey, relax. It was an accident. No one got hurt. Now fuck off."

The voice from the person who helped him up was Seonghwa. Of course it would be. Subconsciously he would move to stand behind the older, he held onto Seonghwa's shirt as he would handle the situation. Fortunately nothing went farther than a few curse words before he was brought to the bathroom, and then back to the booth, this time Hongjoong sliding in first and then Seonghwa.

Not a word of the situation was uttered. But boy was Hongjoong not only embarrassed but guilty for ruining his first ever date. And when he got back to his dorm, he just went straight into his bed to hide away from the word.

"Hongjoong?"

He didn't say anything. Maybe if he pretended to be asleep, Seonghwa would buy it and leave him alone for the night.

There was a dip in his bed behind him. Of course he wouldn't leave it be. A hand was placed on his shoulder.

"It's okay. What happened back there was just an accident. You didn't mean it."

He tried stopping it, really. But his eyes would well with tears, before he knew it, he was letting out little sniffles.

"Oh.. Joongie.." Seonghwa used the same nickname Wooyoung always did, and before he knew if, he was pulled into a sitting position, and placed onto Seonghwa's lap, arms wrapped around him.

"That man was an asshole. It wasn't your fault. I promise."

Hongjoong buried his face into Seonghwa's neck. But it technically was his fault. He wasn't able to see the man and prevent himself from knocking into him. He was useless, he could never do anything on his own, he'd be stuck having to rely on others for the rest of his life just so he could get by in his day to day life-

"You wanna know something?"

Seonghwa brought him out of his thoughts, slowly lifting up his head and while listening, used his hand to wipe his face.

"He deserved it, getting knocked over." Seonghwa's words although he appreciated him trying to cheer him up, it wasn't at all helping.

"And something else."

Before Hongjoong could ask what he meant, his chin was lifted, and those same lips of his were pressing against Hongjoong's. The same feelings he had came crashing down, it only intensified when he was getting pulled so his chest was pressing to Seonghwa's.

Arms slowly going around Seonghwa's neck, he'd go to return the kiss, bur aas shortlivwd when he felt them both falling onto his bed on their sides.

"Even with the situation I had an amazing time."
