jung wooyoung.
"Y/N, what are you doing tonight?" Jin, your best friend, asked.
You looked up from your lunch. "I don't know, maybe I'll go to some wild party." You joked. "Kidding, I'll probably study or something."
She pouted and patted your hand. "You should come over to my place. We've been friends for what, a year now? You've never been to my house."
"Because you've never invited me over, Jin." You chuckled.
"Because my mom and dad are always gone on business, and they said that one of them has to be home if I want friends over, and my mom is finally off for the weekend."
You smiled at her and nodded. "Okay, but I'll need to pack a bag."
"Cool, we can stop by your place after school and get your stuff."
After school, you and Jin drove to your house in separate cars and met at your front door. You walked in and headed up to your bedroom, shutting the door.
"What if your mom doesn't like me?" You asked.
You heard her stifle a laugh and you looked back from your closet, where you grabbed a backpack to put your stuff in. "You're seriously worried about that?" She asked.
"Yes. It's not wrong to want to make a good first impression with your mom."
"Y/N, you're like me. She'll love you."
You raised an eyebrow at her and started grabbing clothes. "She has to love you, Jin."
She gasped and threw a pillow at you, making you laugh. You finished packing and headed downstairs, stopping by the couch to kiss your mom.
"Bye, Mom. I'm going to Jin's." You told her.
"Okay, honey. Have fun, girls."
You hummed in response and left your house, getting in Jin's car, since there was really no point in taking two separate cars. A little later, you pulled into her driveway. You got out and she let you inside, and you immediately made eye contact with her mom.
"Jin? Who's this?" She asked, getting off of the couch.
"Y/N. We've been friends for a while."
She stuck out her hand and you grabbed it, shaking it as she smiled at you. "It's very nice to meet you, Y/N. You can call me Jaemi."
You smiled, and she disappeared into the kitchen. You followed Jin upstairs and to her bedroom, setting your stuff down.
"Your mom is so nice." You told her.
"I know. Proud daughter." She said, putting a hand over her heart.
You playfully rolled your eyes and sat down on her bed, gently taking your shoes off and putting them on the floor. You were talking to Jin when you heard a knock on her door and looked up, seeing an extremely handsome boy.
"Jin - who's this?" He asked, cutting himself off as he looked at you.
"This is Y/N. Moms already met her."
He stepped in and leaned against the door. "I'm Wooyoung, Jin's older brother."
"It's nice to meet you."
After he walked out and shut the door, you looked at Jin and jumped across the bed. "You didn't tell me you had a brother!" You whisper-yelled.
"He's just my broth-" She cut herself off and smiled. "You think he's cute!"
"What - no! I just think having a brother is an important detail!" You lied, waving your hands in the air.
"You're so lying! Your cheeks are so red!"
"Oh my." You mumbled, laying down and shoving your face into one of her pillows.
"Don't worry. I won't tell him, Y/N."
Later that night, you guys had decided to watch a movie, and as you were sitting on the couch, Wooyoung sat right next to you. Your heartbeat increased in speed slightly, and you looked at Jin, but she was focused on the movie.
"So," Wooyoung whispered, making you look at him. "You think I'm cute?"
"Oh my god." You whispered. "Jin, you said you wouldn't tell him!" You whined.
"Don't worry, he thinks you're cute, too."
You looked at Wooyoung, who was now looking at his little sister with wide eyes, and you looked back at her with the same expression.
"You are such a loudmouth." Both you and Wooyoung said at the same time.
You looked at each other, and you heard Jin laugh. "See? Match made in heaven."
A month later, you and Wooyoung had gotten close, and your crush on him developed rapidly, and you were completely head over heels for your best friend's brother. Luckily though, Jin was happy about the whole situation, and she insisted that he liked you back, but you weren't as sure as she was.
You sat up in your bed and looked outside, and you had the urge to go to the store. You quickly put your shoes on and headed out, your destination the corner store you held near and dear to your heart, and you were so focused on getting there, that you didn't even realize the storm clouds rolling in. You walked in and grabbed a water and some candy, paying and heading for the door to walk out, but stopping in your tracks.
It was raining, and hard. So, you decided to just eat your snack at one of the small tables in the little store. Once you finished what you bought, you threw your trash away and told yourself to suck it up, going out in the rain. As you walked down the convenient sidewalk, you noticed a car slow down and stop next to you, and your first instinct was to run.
You felt someone grab your wrist, and you turned around in a panic, only to see Wooyoung.
"What are you doing? You'll get sick, get back in your car!" You told him.
"You're literally walking in the rain, and you're telling me that I'll get sick?" He smiled. "Cute."
You tilted your head as he stared at you for a moment, before grabbing both of your cheeks. "So cute."
And then he pulled you into him, attaching his lips to yours. You couldn't help but smile into the kiss, and Wooyoung pulled away.
"What was that for?" You asked.
"I couldn't help myself, you're just, so gorgeous."
You smiled and rested your hand on his shoulder, and he pulled you into a gentle hug.
"How about we go on a date tomorrow?" He asked.
Your smile grew. "That sounds like a great idea."
