jeong yunho | BAU | pt. 1.
"'You can't have him back'. If you think about all three of the letters we've gotten, it's extremely possessive and protective. Our unsub is female." You said.
You were an FBI agent in the BAU, working on an abduction case. The victims name was Jeong Yunho, and over the period of two days, the BAU had gotten three letters from the unsub, telling the unit that he was safe, but the world couldn't have him back.
"Okay, but our initial question is still in play. Why would she take him?" Huiyin, another agent questioned.
"Based on the letters, I would say she's in love with him. He probably rejected her confession and she got angry, so she plotted his abduction, and if he rejects her again, she might kill him." You stated. "We need to deliver the profile, publicly."
Minjoon, your unit chief, cocked an eyebrow. "Publicly?"
You nodded. "If she watches, and she hears what I have to say, it might trigger something and she might make a mistake."
The media was at headquarters in a flash, and you and the unit went outside.
"Do you have info on the kidnapper?"
"Have you gotten anymore letters?!"
"That is why you are here, so that the public will know what we have to say." Huiyin said.
"Our unsub, or unknown subject, is a female. She's desperate for love and will do anything to make her victim return her feelings. She's most likely living out a fantasy that only she lives in, where the victim actually loves her, but he doesn't, and he's made that clear. He most likely rejected her confession and that angered her, so she resorted to abducting him. Thank you, that's all for now." You said. "Please keep an eye out for a younger woman, maybe nineteen to twenty two."
You and the unit walked back inside, going to the round table. "You think calling her desperate will draw her out?" Minjoon asked.
"Absolutely. Though, the main part that will get to her is the fact that I said he doesn't love her-"
You were cut off by your phone ringing. "Agent Y/N."
"I know a girl that's obsessed with Yunho. Her name is Kim Seoyoon, and Yunho kindly rejected her confession about two weeks ago. She acted normal afterwards, so we figured she was over it." Hongjoong, one of his roommates told you.
"Thank you, Hongjoong. That helps a lot."
He let out a small 'you're welcome', and hung up.
"Mina." You started, getting the unit's tech analyst's attention. "Can you get information on Kim Seoyoon?"
"You know I can, hot stuff." She replied, making you smile. "Ah, she's nineteen years old, just like you, Y/N." She paused and looked at you. "Right, sorry. She goes to the same college as Yunho and his roommates and - oh, she had been missing all of her classes recently, ever since Yunho disappeared. I'm sending her address to your phones now."
You held your gun in your hands, quietly making your way up to the door, and when you did, the speaker buzzed.
"Only Agent L/N. I have a bone to pick with her." Seoyoon's voice rang through the speaker.
You looked back at your team and nodded, telling them it was okay. You opened the door and walked in, holding your gun and checking rooms, until you got to a bedroom. You opened the door, seeing Seoyoon with a gun to Yunho's shoulder.
"You said he didn't love me!" She yelled. "He loves me! Don't you, Yunho?!"
He shook his head no, his tears soaking the piece of fabric that was in his mouth. He had his wrists tied up behind his back, and he looked at you pleadingly.
"You do love me!" She screamed, grabbing his hair.
"Seoyoon, put the weapon down. It's over."
"No," She whispered. "It's not over! Me and Yunho are going to get married."
"Do you want to hurt him? He's the love of your life and you're pointing a gun at him. How are you going to get married if he's scared of you?"
She gasped and looked down at him, letting go of his hair. "Yunho, I'm so sorry! Am I scaring you?"
He didn't answer, just started sobbing harder. Seoyoon growled and pointed the gun at you.
"This is all your fault! You weren't supposed to figure out who I was!"
She pulled the trigger, and you pulled yours too. Her bullet hit you in the top of your ribcage, one of the only spots on your torso that your vest didn't cover well, and your bullet went into her stomach, making her fall back onto the ground. She landed as the rest of your team came in, while you went to Yunho. You took the fabric out of his mouth and untied his hands, gently wiping his tears away with your thumbs.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?" You asked.
He shook his head. "You're bleeding. You need help."
"You first."
You got up and wrapped his arm around your shoulder, helping him walk, though he was mostly helping you walk. As you got outside, you groaned as one of the EMTs helped Yunho. You clutched your side and Huiyin came to your side, walking you to the other ambulance. You watched as Seoyoon was carried out on a stretcher and put into the last ambulance. You took your vest off and the EMT started cutting on your shirt, taking tweezers to the wound and pulling the bullet out.
You groaned and grabbed onto Huiyin's shoulder. "If the bullet went anymore to the left, it would've shattered some of your ribs. You're very lucky, Agent."
"Yes, I am, but I don't feel lucky."
You got out of the ambulance and walked over to Minjoon. "She'll live, the shot wasn't fatal." He said, making you nod. "Yunho asked if you'd go to the hospital with him."
You looked back and saw that he was getting his blood pressure checked. "Yeah, I'll go."
You sat in the chair next to Yunho's hospital bed. "You should be the one getting treatment. Not me, I'm not even hurt." He smiled.
You couldn't help but smile back, thinking the way his cheeks lifted was adorable. "I've been shot multiple times. You just need to get thoroughly checked." You paused. "Why did you request me, exactly?"
"I wanted to talk to you." He started, looking away with pink cheeks. "I wanted to thank you for, well, saving my life. There was no telling what Seoyoon would've done if you hadn't shown up."
"You don't have to thank me, Yunho, this is my job. Also, it wasn't just me that was there, my team was outside."
"I know, but they didn't get shot." He looked at you again but quickly looked up at the ceiling. "You're also really pretty."
He mumbled it, but you heard it, and your cheeks got real pink, real fast. "Thank you-"
"Yunho!"
You looked over and saw seven boys, already crying and running toward the bed. You got up and left the room, sitting outside his room so they could have alone time. Your phone started ringing and you looked down, picking it up.
"Hey, Huiyin."
"Why did he request you?" She asked, and you could tell she was smiling.
"He wanted to thank me for saving his life, and he also told me that I was, really pretty." You said, smiling at the statement.
"Ah, you guys would be so cute together!"
"Huiyin! It's probably not like that."
"I bet it is. Bye, Y/N~" She cooed.
"Bye, Huiyin."
You put your phone down in your lap and rested your head on your palm, your elbow on the arm of the chair. You looked into the room and saw all of the boys crying, and you smiled to yourself. There were good days, like this one, and then there were really bad days. You felt a tap on your shoulder and looked up to see Jongho. You stood up and he immediately pulled you into a hug, which you returned.
"Thank you, so much. We don't know how to thank you enough." He whispered.
"You don't need to thank me. It's my job to save people."
He pulled you into the room and Yunho patted the bed, so you went and sat next to him. You sat down kinda hard and groaned at the impact on your ribcage, and Yunho instinctively put his hand on your side gently, making sure you were okay. You looked at him and nodded, turning your whole body to face him. You locked eyes and it felt like you were there forever, before he leaned up, grabbed your neck, and pulled you down into a sweet kiss.
You immediately returned it, putting your hand on his cheek and melting into the kiss. When he pulled away, his cheeks were red and your cheeks were red, and both of you were smiling like idiots. He grabbed your hand and slipped something into your palm, but he didn't let go and just held your hand for a moment.
"Call me, okay?"
You chuckled. "Definitely."
