choi san.
You were walking back home from your work place, and it was fairly late at night, so you were being cautious of your surroundings. You were nearing your apartment complex when you felt something hit the back of your legs, making you jump.
You turned around and sighed in relief at the sight of a cat. "You scared me."
You leaned down and checked to see if the cat had a collar, and it did, but the only information was the cat's name. "San, what a pretty name. My name's Y/N."
You picked the cat up and double checked for the gender, and he was a boy like you suspected after seeing his name.
"I suppose I'll take you in and make you my cat." You smiled.
He purred as you scratched behind his ear, making you laugh. You unlocked the door to your apartment and stepped inside, putting San down. After getting settled and changed into more comfortable clothes, you grabbed a bowl from the cabinet and put some water in it, setting it on the floor. Then you grabbed some salami from the fridge and sat next to San, feeding it to him.
After you had fed him, you headed to your bed and he happily followed, jumping up on the bed as you slid under the covers. He laid next to you and you stroked his back affectionately.
"Tomorrow we'll go to the vet and get you checked up, then we'll get everything you need to be comfortable here."
You smiled to yourself before turning over and falling asleep.
When you woke up the next morning, you could hear light breathing, but it didn't exactly sound like cat breathing. You panicked a little bit and slowly sat up, looking over to your right.
"Holy mother of-"
You literally fell out of bed and landed on your butt, letting out a small 'ow".
"Y/N?"
You looked up and saw the handsome man that was laying in your bed looking down at you.
"How do you know my name?" You asked, backing away from the bed.
"It's me, San!" He smiled.
"San is my cat."
He giggled. "A hybrid cat, silly."
"I - okay. What did I feed you last night when I brought you inside, then?"
"Salami and you also put water in a black bowl for me to drink."
You were flabbergasted. There was no way he could've known that unless he was actually the cat you picked up last night.
"Okay," You sighed. "You're a hybrid?"
"I am. My last owner passed away, so I had to roam around as a cat until I found a new one, and I found you! So, now I can be human again."
"That's great." You smiled. "I guess we don't need to go to the vet then, huh?"
San laughed and looked down, his eyes widening. "Um, Y/N. Do you happen to have any boy clothes?"
"Oh my gosh, you're naked aren't you?"
"Yep." He said, popping the 'p'.
You got up and thankfully, he was covered by the blankets. You went to your dresser and dug around in the drawer where your brother left extra clothes, just in case he wanted to stay over.
You found them and handed them to San, leaving the room afterward so he could change. When he opened the door, you had to admit that he looked really nice in the joggers and white t-shirt you gave him.
"So, what do you say we eat breakfast, then we go shopping and get you some clothes?" You suggested.
"That sounds fun!"
As you walked through the city, San held your hand tightly. He was nervous that his ears and tail weren't hidden well enough, and you had to reassure him several times that he was okay.
"Oh look. This is one of my favorite stores." You pointed out.
"Let's go, then."
You and San went into the little store and you took him to the men's section. You let him pick out several outfits that he wanted and looked really good on him, not to mention, then you left the store after paying.
"You know, Y/N, I'm really glad you took me in. You're sweet, and you're also really, really pretty."
You blushed at his comment and smiled. "Thank you, San. You're very handsome yourself."
When the two of you got back home, you helped him put his clothes in the closet and in the extra drawer you had in your dresser, then he plopped onto the bed.
"I'm gonna take a shower, San."
He hummed in response, so you hopped in the shower. It didn't take you very long, and you wrapped yourself up in a towel. You opened the door, forgetting an actual man was lying on your bed.
He looked up at you and watched the water droplets glide down your skin, making you blush and look down.
"Can you go to the living room for a second?" You asked.
"Oh yeah, of course."
You let out a sigh after he shut the door. You quickly got changed and let him back in, and you two laid on your bed.
"What was your last owner like?" You asked.
"She was really nice, just like you, but she was also much older than you."
You nodded, closing your eyes. You enjoyed the quiet, and how comfortable you were even with San's presence. Then you felt a light touch on your neck and opened your eyes. San had laid his hand on your neck and he smiled at you sweetly.
"Can we cuddle?"
You smiled and nodded, scooting closer to him. You laid your head on his chest and he purred happily, embracing you.
The few times you had woken up to shift your position, you and San had ended up spooning, making you blush. Then you felt a small wet sensation at the back of your neck, then again, and again.
"San?"
"Hm?"
"Are you licking me?"
"Yeah, that's how hybrids show their affection to their humans at first."
You turned in his embrace and looked at him. "At first?"
He nodded. "There's been stories about hybrids that fall in love with their humans, and you know, when you're in love with someone you do a lot more than just cuddle and give them kitten licks."
Your heart jumped. "Do you wanna be one of those stories?"
He smiled. "I do, but we don't have to rush. Hybrids get attached easily, but humans need time to develop feelings and be sure of them."
You nodded at him, smiling as you laid your head on his chest again.
After the first six months of you and San living with each other, you could tell that you guys would be one of those stories that he was talking about. Your feelings for him just grew and grew, and you were so happy around the hybrid.
Luckily, him being a hybrid didn't bother you much. Well, sometimes he would accidentally wack you with his tail, which hurt sometimes, but that was the only thing about him that you didn't enjoy at times.
"Y/N~" San whined as he walked into the kitchen, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Do you work today?"
You smiled at his cuteness and sighed. "Yeah."
He pouted and came up behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his forehead on your shoulder.
"What will I do when you're gone?" He asked.
"What you do every other day I work. Sleep, eat, watch TV." You smiled.
"Not true. I clean for you sometimes."
"Okay, I'll give you that."
You smiled and turned around, scratching behind his ears. He let out a small purr, making you giggle.
"I gotta go, San."
His shoulders slumped. "Okay."
You kissed him on the cheek and headed out, completely oblivious to his mischievous plans. When you got to work, you basically skipped inside.
"Y/N?" Sooyoung called.
"Yes?" You smiled.
"What happened? Why are you so smiley? Is it San?"
"Yes, it's San. He makes me so happy and warm and-" You cut yourself off to sigh contentedly, not knowing how to describe your amazing feelings.
"I'm glad he makes you happy."
All you could do was smile, starting your work.
After a long eight hours, you finally finished your shift and clocked out, heading home. You got to your apartment and opened the door, only to be slammed up against it when you shut it.
"San?"
He didn't answer you, just kissed you like he'd been waiting to do so for the longest time. You kissed back, your hands on his chest as he gripped your waist. You pulled away and looked at him, mildly confused.
"What was that for?" You asked.
"I've been waiting so long to do that." He smiled.
He grabbed your hand and took you into the living room, and your heart swelled with happiness. There were rose petals all over the floor, your coffee table was set up for a two-person dinner, and your favorite drama was playing for background noise.
"San," You smiled. "This is so sweet."
He giggled and both of you sat down, starting to eat. "I wanted to make this as romantic as possible, so I'm glad you like it." He paused and looked up at you. "Do you remember that thing I told you about hybrids and their humans?"
"Never forgot it." You replied.
"I want to be one of those stories, and I want you, so, be mine?" He smiled.
You smiled. "Of course, I'll be yours, San."
He clapped like the excited hybrid he was, making you laugh. After you two had finished your dinner, you cleaned up and sat on the couch.
"I hope I didn't come on too strong when you got home. I got excited."
You looked up at San and kissed his cheek. "Everything was perfect."
