"Harder, Y/N!"
You kicked Hajoon, your trainer, harder in the ribcage. He recoiled and punched you in the stomach. You groaned and punched him, hitting him on the cheek bone. He stumbled, but caught himself, and he looked at you.
He charged towards you, and you put your arm out. He fell since he ran right into your arm with his chest, and you put your forearm against his neck while he was down.
"Come on, Hajoon. You're going easy on me."
You got off of the poor man who was now wheezing slightly, and helped him up. "I only stepped back a little today because your fight is tonight. Plus, we've been training really hard this whole week, you needed a little break."
You shrugged and took the bandages off of your hands, throwing them in the trash. "Are you okay, Hajoon?"
You looked over and he was bent over, hand over his chest. He looked up at you and sheepishly smiled. "I'll live."
He stood up and you threw him a water bottle, taking a drink of your own.
"Go home and get ready for school. You know when to get here."
You playfully saluted Hajoon and grabbed your belongings, going back to your house. When you walked in, your dad was in the hallway, and he stopped in his tracks.
"You're up early." He stated.
"I told you I work out almost every morning before school." You replied.
"Oh, right." He said, walking up to you and kissing your forehead. "I'm off to work. Have a good day at school."
"Okay, I love you."
"I love you, too."
He left and you sighed as you walked upstairs. It was six a.m., which meant you had an hour to get ready, so you took a shower and changed into a cute outfit for the day. You also packed your bag for the fight you had later that day, and then you went downstairs to grab some ice for your knuckles.
As you sat down at the counter with bags of ice on your hands, your brother, Seonghwa, came into the kitchen. He walked over and lifted one of the bags to look at your hands, and he winced.
"What did Hajoon make you do this morning? Your knuckles weren't that bad yesterday." He said.
You sighed. "We fought a little bit, but he went easy on me."
Seonghwa nodded and sat in front of you. "You fight tonight, right?"
Ever since you were sixteen, you had started training with Hajoon to fight. It was something that you liked doing since fighting was a form of venting in a way. You had fought some of the best fighters in Seoul, and you rarely lost a fight.
"Yeah, it's at the usual time. Are you coming?" You asked.
"Of course. I wouldn't miss it."
The bell rang for lunch and you sat with your friends at your table. You and Seonghwa shared the same group of friends, which were Hongjoong, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, Yeosang, Yunho, and Jongho.
"Y/N, you look really pretty," Jongho stated, making you blush.
You had a crush on Jongho, and all of the boys except Jongho knew, thankfully. You figured he didn't have feelings for you, so you just pushed yours down as best as you could.
You smiled at him. "Thank you, Jongho."
"What are you guys doing after school?" Hongjoong asked.
You and Seonghwa shared a glance. Nobody knew you were an underground fighter except for Seonghwa, and you wanted to keep it that way. Underground was kind of dangerous. Everyone had a temper and it scared you to even think about the rest of the boys going there, and you didn't want them to get hurt.
"If you guys don't have anything to do, you can come over to our house for a few hours," Seonghwa said.
You fought every Friday, and that's when the boys usually came over to hang out. They always left after you left to go 'work out', and before Seonghwa had to leave.
Hongjoong smiled. "Okay, we'll be there around four."
You were icing your hands again when the boys showed up. You had your head down, thinking about every other fight you were in, and you were almost asleep when you heard Seonghwa's voice.
"Y/N, come here. We're gonna watch a movie!"
You sighed and got up, throwing the ice away. You went into the living room and sat in the only open spot, which happened to be by Jongho.
"You look tired." He stated.
You looked over at him, nodding. "I am. I think I need a nap."
He smiled and patted his shoulder. "You can lay on me."
You tilted your head, and before you could answer he pulled you into him, making you lay on him. You looked up and made eye contact with Wooyoung, who gave you a thumbs-up, making you smile.
You fell asleep and had been sleeping for about two hours, and Jongho played with your hair, trying his hardest not to move too much so that he wouldn't wake you up.
You did wake up on your own, though. You stretched and reached for your phone, nearly falling off the couch when you saw what time it was.
You hopped off the couch and ran upstairs, grabbing your bag. When you came back downstairs, all of the boys were standing up.
"I'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye!"
You headed for the door, but Jongho grabbed your arm. "Are you okay? I feel like you're hiding something."
"Jongho, I'm good. I promise. I'm just on a schedule." You smiled.
He sighed and let go. You looked back at Seonghwa and he came up to you and hugged you. "Be careful." He whispered.
"I know. I will be."
After saying bye you rushed to the underground and found Hajoon. You stretched and fought until seven, and then the fights started. You changed into your shorts and sports bra since that was what you always fought in, and left your hair down.
Hajoon walked you out to the arena, and you stood on the sidelines with him, waiting for the three people before you to fight.
"And now, our very own, Park Y/N!"
You walked up and stood in front of Jaejin, one of Seoul's best fighters, and you looked for your brother on the sidelines. You caught a glimpse of him, noticing the seven boys around him, who looked shocked and confused. You sighed as you rolled your eyes slightly, and then you got into position.
"Let's go, little girl." Jaejin snarled.
You scoffed and quickly threw your hair up before the referee blew the whistle. Jaejin charged at you, but you threw your knee into his stomach, making him stumble. He got up and threw his elbow into your back, but instead of falling, you spun around and punched him, right in the jaw. You kicked him in the stomach, making him fall, and you put your forearm to his throat.
You won round one and you walked over to Hajoon. He gave you some water and rubbed your back where Jaejin elbowed you.
"Your friends seem impressed," Hajoon said.
"I didn't even want them here," You told him. "I just hope they don't get hurt."
"What do you mean?"
"You know how everyone here is. Every time I win, the person who lost tries to mess with Seonghwa. Now Jaejin has not one, but eight targets to try and take it out on."
"What makes you think you'll win?" Hajoon smirked.
"I'm not losing in front of them."
You got up and went back to the middle. Round two started and you weren't fast enough. Jaejin grabbed your arm and threw you down, pinning your wrists above your head. You kneed him in the stomach, making him fall over, and you punched him, but he grabbed your leg and made you fall. He punched you, busting your lip, and then he flipped you onto your stomach and grabbed your ponytail, pulling it.
The boys watched with wide eyes, but Seonghwa was calm.
"How are you not freaking out? He's nearly yanking her hair out." San asked.
"Round three is always her round. She won't lose."
The referee blew the whistle and Jaejin let go of your hair. You got up and wiped your mouth, walking back to Hajoon.
"Now your friends look terrified," Hajoon stated.
You shook your head. "I made direct eye contact with them as Jaejin held me down by my hair. I know how terrified they looked."
"Just saying." He shrugged.
You stretched and got ready for round three. You made direct eye contact with Jongho, and you could see the worry in his eyes. The referee blew the whistle, and this time, you charged at Jaejin.
You punched him, taking him by surprise, then you continued to kick him in the ribcage. He fell and you grabbed his arm, twisting it behind his back. He groaned, but you rolled him onto his back and punched him again, nearly knocking him out. You stood up and put your foot on his chest, and he didn't even bother to try and get up.
You won and the referee held your arm up as he put the medal around your neck, like every other fight you won. After everything was done, you grabbed your stuff and walked out to meet the boys in the lobby.
When you walked out, you saw Jaejin pushing Jongho around. You groaned as you walked up to them and pushed him back.
"It was a good fight, Jaejin." You said.
You always tried to be polite after a fight, since it was just for fun and it wasn't exactly the most serious thing in the world.
Jaejin snarled and grabbed your arm, pulling you towards him. "I could take you and your friends out right now."
You pushed his hand off of your arm and looked up at him. "First of all, if I can take you down, all nine of us can." You paused and stepped closer to him. "Second of all, you won't touch me, and you especially won't touch my friends, do you understand?"
He sighed, annoyed, and walked off. Then, before you knew it, you were pulled into a bone-crushing hug.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Jongho whispered.
All you could feel were his arms around your waist, making you blush. "It's dangerous down here. I didn't want you guys getting hurt because of people like Jaejin."
"We would've come to support you anyway. Plus, what if something happened and you needed to be carried? You and I both know these weaklings can't pick you up, but I can."
You laughed and pulled away, looking at him. His hand came up to your cheek, and his thumb grazed over the cut you had on your lip, and then he kissed you.
You kissed back and you realized how soft Jongho's lips were, and how sweet the kiss was. You couldn't help but smile into the kiss and look at him.
"What was that for?" You asked, still smiling.
He smiled and grabbed your hand. "You know I like you, right? More than a friend?"
Your cheeks got hot. "You do?"
"Ever since Seonghwa introduced you to us."
You smiled and kissed him again. "I like you, too."
He grabbed your hand and you went outside. You hadn't even realized that the boys left the lobby.
"Guys, it's happening!" Yunho yelled.
Everyone looked over at you, making you shy away behind Jongho. Everyone came up to you guys and crowded around you.
"Did he kiss you?"
"He finally confessed his love for you!"
"This is so cute!"
You laughed and stepped away from Jongho, hugging Seonghwa. "Thank you for bringing them, it was worth it."
"I know it was." He replied.
"Jongho wouldn't shut up about how much he wanted to confess to you after you left," Mingi announced.
You looked over at Jongho and his cheeks were pink, making you smile. You walked over to him and grabbed his hand, leaning on his shoulder. Everyone headed to their respective car, and Jongho would ride with you.
When you got in the car, Jongho leaned over and pecked your cheek. "Y/N?"
"Yes?"
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
You smiled and looked over at him. "Obviously."
Both of you laughed and you headed home. "This means we can share ice cream and do cute couple stuff now."
"You would just shove the ice cream in my face, you've done it before." He said, smiling.
You laughed and grabbed his hand. "Maybe, maybe not."
