Centuries ago, I was an angel whose red wings brought a flood of blood into the world. Genocide, murder, fornication and crime stuck to my hands, but that was how my world functioned.

God kept me close to himself cause my fiery nature was unpredictable and only he could command my disobeying self. Worlds were destroyed, whole dynasties were ended by my hand and it all happened for a greater reason, so I had no regrets for my decisions.

I have seen people's darkest desires, which I would have gladly fulfilled if I wasn't bound by the orders. In our world, breaking the rules led to exile, and falling into sin led to death.

One day I had enough of servitude and rebelled against my master. For once I have sinned, therefore I was damned, the weight of which I only really felt when I was banished. I fell into the depths of hell, straight into the swirling darkness that engulfed me.

Black demons surrounded me, whilst red flames teared at my insides and a pair of green eyes stared at me from the shadows. Torment pervaded my body, my once beautiful wings were painted black as my soul shattered into pieces and were consumed by the fire burning inside me.

After all those years of torture, I didn't feel anything anymore. I didn't know how much time had passed or how much I had left of myself. I desperately begged for salvation, but it never came. God rejected me from among his own and he took everything from me, but at the same time I knew that he made the right decision. I was wrong for falling into sin, but it didn't matter anymore.

The pair of green eyes appeared from time to time and watched silently from the darkness, but never came close enough for me to see. I felt his glowing gaze on me, which made me more and more curious.

I didn't know who he was, where he came from, what kind of creature he was, I could only feel the disgust and hatred that radiated from him.

Over time, I didn't think about anything anymore.Even my voice became hoarse from all the screaming, yelling and no one ever answered. I only then realized what my punishment was. Loneliness was much more tortuous than if I had been turned to a mortal and died like so many people on Earth.

'A red shadow that brings sin who leaves a flood of blood and death behind' a deep voice echoed in the darkness and soon enough the familiar green eyes showed up. Frightened, I watched as the owner of the eyes came closer, revealing himself completely, carrying himself as if he ruled over the world.

'Insanity is right behind his every footstep but no living and no dead can command him. Hee won't be allowed into neither Heaven nor Hell because his soul was shattered once when he was damned.' I couldn't read his features, it was emotionless and cold as a stone as he circled around me.

'These lines are from your past and while your punishment haunts you, your suffering is my pleasure' his lips turned into a vicious smile as pain shot through my body.

Instead of burning fire, I experienced a cold like never before, numbing my mind in a second.

The sound of my screams echoed in the darkness as the green eyes stared into the pieces of my soul.

The pain rushed through me with elemental force and I already knew I couldn't get rid of it until the end of eternity, while my battered wings twisted bitterly around my thin body as protection.

'I was damned just like you, I lived through all the things you had to and now I don't feel pain anymore. I don't feel anything, there's no past, no future, only the present is what I live for. You were sent here for a reason, right into my hands. God knows I won't let you go until you learned your lesson, therefore he gave me the power over you. Only I can command you and you'll serve me as long as I want you to and in the end, you'll want my mercy. You'll pray for death so your torture can come to end but I will not give that to you.

Until then, goodbye you torn winged angel, we will meet again after an eternity' he smiled again, then merged with the darkness and disappeared before my eyes.
