surprise
Hongjoong was busy, busier than ever with uni, and didn't have any free time. This made Wooyoung sad. He would study, of course, do his things and wait for Hongjoong's cuddles, but it never came to bed at night. Always in his room. Another day, the same routine, Wooyoung prepared coffee for himself and Hongjoong, maybe a little bit. Leaving it on the counter and leaving for his lecture.
By the time he came back, the dorm was buried in dark, not literally, but there was no noise at all. "Hongjoong hyung," Wooyoung called out, getting bo reply.
Wooyoung sighed, going to his room and changing to his pajamas. He slipped under his covers, searching for his human sized plushie, but found someone in its place— Hongjoong. Hongjoong was lying there, fast asleep.
Wooyoung felt his heart sink with a mix of relief and disappointment. Relief, because it meant that Hongjoong was finally taking a break from his busy schedule and getting some rest. Disappointment, because he missed Hongjoong's presence and longed for their cuddles and moments together.
Quietly, Wooyoung moved closer to Hongjoong, taking in his peaceful sleeping face. He couldn't help but admire how beautiful Hongjoong looked, even in his slumber. Gently, Wooyoung reached out and brushed the hair away from Hongjoong's forehead, smiling softly at the touch.
He knew how demanding university can be, especially when juggling assignments and exams. Wooyoung understood that Hongjoong needed to prioritize his studies, but he couldn't help but feel a little neglected at times. He missed the old days when they would spend hours talking and laughing, cuddling each other to sleep.
Leaning in closer, Wooyoung pressed a soft kiss on Hongjoong's cheek. "I hope you're dreaming of something wonderful, Hongjoong hyung," he whispered, his voice barely audible in the silence of the room.
Wooyoung knew he couldn't wake Hongjoong up. After all, everyone needed their rest, and he didn't want to disturb him. Instead, he decided to cherish this moment and embrace the warmth that Hongjoong's presence brought even in his sleep.
As Wooyoung lay there, watching Hongjoong sleep, he couldn't help but reflect on their relationship. They had always been there for each other, through thick and thin. They had created countless memories together, and Wooyoung was grateful for each one.
But in that moment, he realized that it wasn't just about the cuddles and the laughter. It was about the support, love, and understanding they shared. It was about being there for each other, even in the times when life got busy and free time was scarce.
Wooyoung made a silent promise to himself that he would be patient and understanding. He would support Hongjoong in his endeavors, just as Hongjoong had always supported him. And most importantly, he would cherish the little moments like this, where he could simply watch Hongjoong sleep and feel his love for him grow even stronger.
With that thought, Wooyoung closed his eyes, snuggling closer to Hongjoong, finding comfort in his presence. As he drifted off to sleep, he couldn't help but smile, knowing that no matter how busy life got, their love would always remain constant.

The next morning, Wooyoung woke up to shuffling and the sound of someone stirring in the room. Groggily, he opened his eyes and found Hongjoong sitting up in bed, rubbing his eyes and yawning.
"Hongjoong hyung?" Wooyoung said, his voice filled with surprise and warmth. "You're awake."
Hongjoong looked over at him, a sleepy smile spreading across his face. "Yeah, I finally managed to get some rest," he replied, his voice slightly hoarse from sleep. "Sorry I've been so distant lately, Wooyoung. My workload has been overwhelming."
Wooyoung sat up, feeling a mix of relief and joy at seeing Hongjoong's face filled with genuine remorse. He knew how hardworking and dedicated Hongjoong was, and he could never fault him for that. But it didn't mean he didn't miss their time together.
"It's alright, Hongjoong hyung," Wooyoung said gently, reaching out to hold Hongjoong's hand. "I understand how important your studies are, and I admire your dedication. But remember, I'm here for you too. We're a team, and we can navigate through these busy times together."
Hongjoong squeezed Wooyoung's hand, his expression filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Wooyoung, for always being so understanding. I'm sorry I haven't been showing it, but I truly do appreciate you."
Wooyoung leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on Hongjoong's lips, reassuring him without the need for words. It was their way of reminding each other of their love and support, a silent affirmation of their commitment.
As they pulled away, Hongjoong's eyes twinkled with determination. "Let's make the most of today, Wooyoung," he said, his voice filled with newfound energy. "I want to spend quality time with you, even if it's just for a little while."
Wooyoung beamed, feeling a surge of excitement. "I'd love that," he replied, his heart lightening with happiness. "But before that, let's have that coffee I prepared for us yesterday. It must be cold now."
With that, they both got out of bed, ready to face the day together. They knew that even amidst the busyness of life, their love would always remain strong, and they would always find a way to make time for each other.
