family
Yeosang glanced at Seonghwa as few too many times as they waited for the cookies to bake, not being able to hold it in. He tiptoed and kissed Seonghwa's lips slowly, relaxing when Seonghwa held his neck gently in seconds. He was pressed against the fridge then, Seonghwa kissing him again without a break for air. Yeosang sighed in the kiss after getting used to it, tilting his head to give Seonghwa better access to his neck, his hands going around Yeosang's waist, pulling him closer.
He didn't know where to put his hands and it felt awkward but Seonghwa seemed to understand without a word, holding Yeosang's arms and wrapping them around his neck as I'd to teach what to do.
"Go to bed, love," Yeosang pouted as he pulled back slightly, searching Seonghwa's eyes, the playful hint of frustration evident in his expression. "We can't just skip to dessert like this."
Seonghwa chuckled softly, brushing a stray hair behind Yeosang's ear. "But this is the best kind of dessert," he teased, pressing his forehead against Yeosang's. "Besides, we still have a few minutes until those cookies are ready."
Yeosang rolled his eyes, feeling heat creep up his cheeks at the teasing. "You're impossible," he murmured, fighting back a smile. "What if they burn?"
"They won't burn," Seonghwa promised, his voice low and soothing. "I have faith in the timer." He tilted his head, capturing Yeosang's lips again, this time a little more fiercely, as if to emphasize his point.
Yeosang melted into the kiss, momentarily forgetting about the cookies and everything else. He surrendered to the warmth of Seonghwa's hands on his waist, the way he held him so gently yet with such a possessive urgency. But just as he was about to deepen the kiss, the timer set on the oven suddenly beeped, startling them both.
Breaking apart, they shared a breathless laugh, their foreheads still touching. Yeosang sighed dramatically. "See? All your fault for being so distracting."
Seonghwa smirked, stepping back reluctantly. "I guess I'll take responsibility then." He reached for Yeosang's hand, interlocking their fingers. "Let's make sure the cookies are perfect so we can enjoy them properly afterward."
Yeosang shook his head, still smiling. "You just want to take another break after, don't you?"
Seonghwa shrugged innocently, but the mischievous glint in his eye gave away his intentions. "Can you blame me? I think we make a pretty good team."
With a playful huff, Yeosang let himself be led to the oven, though he couldn’t help but feel the flutter of excitement in his chest. Whatever happened next, he was glad to share these moments—sweet cookies and even sweeter kisses, all wrapped up in a cozy kitchen with Seonghwa by his side.
......
Yeosang snuggled under the blanket while Seonghwa cleaned the kitchen, and Wooyoung took advantage of that. He slipped under the covers and snuggled in Yeosang's side, bed warm and inviting. Yeosang let out a soft gasp when he felt the familiar weight of Wooyoung joining him, the sudden warmth enveloping him completely.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Yeosang laughed, trying to shove Wooyoung playfully away, but it was clear he didn’t have the heart to push him too far.
Wooyoung grinned, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I'm here to steal some of your warmth! Seonghwa's busy, and you're all alone under this cozy blanket." He nestled closer, burrowing his head into Yeosang's shoulder.
Yeosang rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide the smile creeping onto his face. "You could have at least waited until he was done with cleaning," he muttered half-heartedly, running a hand casually through Wooyoung’s hair.
Wooyoung shrugged, acting as if he didn’t care, but Yeosang could see the glint of mischief in his eyes. "Why? It’s more fun this way. Plus, I wanted to make sure you didn't fall asleep all alone. Seonghwa might get jealous," he said, smirking.
"Jealous of you? I don’t think so," Yeosang teased back, though a part of him warmed at the idea.
Just then, Seonghwa peeked into the room, a gentle smile spreading across his face when he saw the two of them snuggled up together. “What’s happening in here? Are you two plotting against me?”
Yeosang quickly sat up, shooting Wooyoung a warning glance. “No! We were just… umm… keeping each other warm!”
Wooyoung snickered, enjoying the teasing situation. “Yeah, come join us, Seonghwa! We could use a little extra body heat in our bubble,” he urged, grabbing at the edges of the blanket as if inviting Seonghwa in.
Seonghwa chuckled, shaking his head as he set the last dish down on the counter before walking over. “You two are impossible,” he said affectionately, but he hesitated, glancing between them. “But if you really don’t mind…”
With a nod from Yeosang and a mischievous grin from Wooyoung, Seonghwa crawled onto the bed, settling in on Yeosang’s other side. The blanket cocooned them, and the warmth enveloped them all, laughter filling the air as they shifted around to make room.
“See?” Wooyoung said, smugly leaning back against Yeosang. “Now we’re all together—just like a family.”
Yeosang smiled, his heart swelling with warmth as he looked at both of them. “Yeah, just like a family,” he echoed softly, feeling content lying there between his two favorite people, the world outside fading away while they shared stories and laughter beneath the blanket.
.
Wooyoung fell asleep on top of Yeosang quickly, a soft, steady rhythm echoing in the cozy space as he nestled comfortably against Yeosang's chest. Yeosang glanced down, brushing a few stray strands of Wooyoung's hair away from his face, a fond smile playing on his lips. It was a familiar sight: Wooyoung always had a knack for finding the perfect spot to doze off, and today was no exception.
"Looks like someone couldn't handle the warmth," Seonghwa remarked quietly, lying beside them with an amused expression. He shifted slightly, propping himself up on his elbow to get a better look at his sleeping friend.
Yeosang chuckled softly, careful not to jostle Wooyoung too much. "He’s always like this. I don’t know how he manages to fall asleep so quickly."
“It’s a talent,” Seonghwa joked, settling back against his pillow. “But I guess it’s nice to see him getting some rest. He works so hard.”
Yeosang nodded, the warmth of the moment enveloping him like the blanket around them. “Yeah, he does. Sometimes I feel like I have to remind him to take it easy,” he admitted, glancing at Wooyoung again, who was completely oblivious to the world around him.
Seonghwa shifted his gaze to Yeosang, a soft look in his eyes. “And you? Are you taking it easy?”
Yeosang raised an eyebrow and smirked, teasingly. “I’m not the one who just fell asleep on top of someone else.”
Seonghwa laughed, the sound light and melodic. “Fair point. But you’re still the one lying underneath him. Maybe you need to look out for yourself a little more.”
“I will,” Yeosang promised, though he couldn’t help but feel content in that moment. The warmth from Wooyoung made him feel safe, and he liked having Seonghwa there too, sharing this spontaneous, cozy moment.
As the minutes passed, Yeosang felt his eyelids grow heavy. He tried to shake off the drowsiness, but it was no use. The gentle rise and fall of Wooyoung's breathing and the warmth radiating from both boys lulled him. He leaned back into the pillow, allowing the comfort to wash over him.
“Looks like our little family is about to dive into dreamland,” Seonghwa remarked, his voice low and soft, almost a whisper.
“Maybe just for a bit,” Yeosang replied, his voice trailing off as he surrendered to the peacefulness of the moment.
Without realizing it, he drifted off as well, wrapped up in the blanket, surrounded by the warmth of friendship and the kind of love that held them all together. The world outside faded into a soft blur, leaving only the sound of contented breaths and the soft hum of their shared tranquility.
