Wooyoung insisted on his bestfriend staying over after Yeosang asked him to be his boyfriend, nothing serious. They were both boys yet he knew he loved Yeosang, a lot. The older stayed over at Wooyoung's room, since it was a boarding school. And Yunho, Wooyoung's roommate, luckily didn't mind that.
Yeosang curled up beside Wooyoung, kissing his neck lovingly without a care in the world. The younger was scrolling on his meanwhile, rubbing Yeosang's back with his unoccupied hand gently.
"I'm gonna order food, anything particular you want?" Yunho asked, drying his hair with a towel after shower, wearing loose sweats with no shirt on. Mingi, on the other bed, rushed to hug him tightly. Kissing his boyfriend.
"I want peperoni pizza and Wooyoung wants cheese burgers, right?" Yeosang looked up from Wooyoung's neck, a playful glint in his eyes. Wooyoung chuckled softly, giving a nod as he continued to scroll through his phone. The warm sensation of Yeosang's breath on his skin made his heart race, but he forced himself to focus on the task at hand.
"Yeah, that sounds good," Wooyoung replied, his voice slightly distracted. "But make sure to get extra fries with the burgers, too."
"Always thinking with your stomach, aren't you?" Yeosang teased, poking Wooyoung’s side lightly.
Wooyoung laughed, a bright smile spreading across his face. "You know me too well. What's life without good food?"
Yunho rolled his eyes playfully and reached for his phone to place the order. Mingi, still clinging to Yunho, chimed in, “And don’t forget the garlic knots! Yunho’s got to keep us all fed, right?”
Yunho nodded, grinning at Mingi's enthusiasm. "Garlic knots it is. What about drinks? You guys ever had bubble tea with pizza? It's the best!"
Yeosang perked up at the suggestion. "Ooh, I’ll have mango! And can Wooyoung have taro? He’s gonna love it!"
“I guess I’m trying taro then!” Wooyoung said, glancing at Yeosang with a smile that felt like sunshine. “Only if you promise to share.”
“Deal,” Yeosang chuckled, snuggling closer against Wooyoung. His heart was content, feeling the warmth spreading from the younger boy next to him.
As Yunho placed the order, Mingi snatched a pillow from his bed and smacked it against Yunho’s head playfully. “Hurry up with the food! I'm starving!”
“Hang tight, food will be here in no time,” Yunho replied, turning around to face Mingi and smirking. “You could always just grab a snack from downstairs like a good little bottom.”
Mingi fake gasped and placed a hand dramatically over his heart. “Rude! I’ll have you know my bottoming skills are top-tier!” He spun around, pretending to strut away.
Wooyoung broke into laughter, shaking his head at the playful banter of his friends. It was moments like these that made him grateful for their odd little family in the boarding school, and for Yeosang's light, which always seemed to shine brightest during their time together.
As they settled into a comfortable silence, with Mingi and Yunho continuing their playful back-and-forth, Wooyoung couldn't help but sneak a glance at Yeosang. The older boy was resting peacefully against him, eyes half-closed, a serene smile adorning his features. For Wooyoung, this moment felt perfect—almost too good to be true.
“Hey,” Wooyoung whispered, leaning down slightly so he could speak directly into Yeosang’s ear. “Can I tell you a secret?”
Yeosang turned his head, looking up with curiosity. “What is it?”
“I think I’m falling for you,” Wooyoung confessed, his voice barely above a whisper, yet carrying the weight of truth. He felt vulnerable, exposing his feelings so openly, yet there was a thrill in it.
Yeosang's eyes widened, the playful glint replaced by sincerity. “Wooyoung…”
“I know, I know,” Wooyoung rushed to say, feeling heat creep up his cheeks. “You said nothing serious, I just—”
But Yeosang cut him off with a soft kiss on the lips. It was gentle, sweet, and left Wooyoung breathless. “How can you say that and expect me not to feel the same?” he murmured, his own cheeks flushed.
Wooyoung’s heart soared. “So, you do like me?”
“Of course, I do,” Yeosang said, grinning. “I wouldn’t be here cuddling if I didn’t.”
The tension after that moment of shared feelings bubbled into laughter as Mingi and Yunho continued their antics, blissfully unaware of the heartfelt exchange between their friends.
“Alright, enough of this mushy stuff!” Mingi shouted dramatically. “Let’s get the food here, I need to fuel my budding romance!”
Laughing, Wooyoung and Yeosang exchanged shy glances, their hearts alight with possibilities. Perhaps this casual arrangement they started could turn into something more—a real and undeniable connection. But for now, they were content with this small universe they created together in Wooyoung's room.
