The next morning, I decided not to go to the shop again and I wanted to spend more time with Rune. Although we don't have any plans for today so I doubt that he is planning to go somewhere. Maybe work?

But right now, it's almost noon but Rune is still not getting out of bed. He's still asleep. And I already had my shower and everything and he still didn't even move a single muscle from his position. He didn't even noticed me unwrapping his arms around me when I woke up to brush my teeth.

Was he that tired last night? Yet he still manages to meet up with his friends though.

Well, I remember he told me last night when we got home because I asked him.

"They are the only family that I got when I had nothing."

I understand him. Friends really does can fix a hole in your heart when you feel like you're alone. Jeez, I didn't know what to do with my life without Ariana. She's my best friend, my sister, my mother, my psychologist, even my doctor sometimes because she knows how to make me feel better.

I was sitting on one of my couches inside my room, reading some random novel that Dad left for me when Rune started to wake up. He slowly opened his eyes and stretched his arms. "Good morning, my lady."

I chuckled with a scoff. "More like its noon already, mister."

"Noon? I slept that long?" He sat up, causing the sheets to fall down on his lap, giving me a full view of his muscular body. Damn those abs of his. They are ripping and screaming to be touch. And damn, why am I thinking of this thoughts? "Can't get enough of this, my lady?" He noticed me staring at his body.

I blushed and looked away, I dropped the book on the table. "You should get up now. Do you have any plans for today?"

"Actually I do." He removes the sheets and stands up and didn't seems to care that he's naked like the day he was born. Rune walks towards my spot and places his hands on my waist to pull me closer to him. "We are going to St. Dominique today so be ready in an hour. Bring some clothes too, we might not be home tonight that soon." 

"Erm...okay. What are you planning to do there?" I asked, crossing my arms and arching a brow.

"Just want us to be alone." He whispered then brings his lips down to give me a gentle kiss. I don't know but his morning breathe still smells like mint. And he's been sleeping too long! How is that even possible? "I will just go take a shower."

"Go." I told him then he ran off to my bathroom and then I took that time to get my things ready. I don't want know why he suddenly wants to go there but Rune must have missed them. Especially Yohan or Margaret. But I don't mind though, it's good to visit them once in a while since they were so kind to me.

I didn't packed that heavy though. It just a light one, some few clothes and shoes. I don't know how long we are going to stay there but I'm sure it won't take that long since we both have work soon.

I already finished packing when Rune followed me inside my walk in closet. He's already dressed up. "You ready?"

"Yep, how about you?"

"I still haven't unpacked my clothes since I arrived here, my lady." Rune took my luggage back from me and carried it instead. "shall we?"

I nodded. "Yeah, lets go. Anyway, how long are we going to stay there?"

"Only two days, I still have work though." He tenderly replied, kissing the top of my head then went on ahead.

Rune placed our things inside the trunk, he wouldn't let me do anything so I feel like a queen just letting him do all the work for me. I already told the maids that I won't be coming home for two days and I made sure that the people who will be left in the house is okay and instructed them some things.

So, after everything being, we got in the car that will be driven by him and he seems to be pretty excited to come back in St. Dominique. Well, I owe everything to that place. We had so many fun and memorable experience there that I will never ever forget though.

We didn't made any stop overs, the whole car ride was fast. Rune was careful though yet he just happens to drive too fast than an average person should do. Maybe he's already trained to do this?

Because of his speed, we reached St. Dominique in no time. The place and the gentle breeze feels so good to be exposed to them once again. My skin shivers to the coldness in this mountain. And it doesn't look like we were gone for so long. Everything seems the same as before.

Rune stopped the car in front of the house that we stayed before. I'm surprised to see that everything was clean like it was properly taken care of even if we're not around.

"I had someone clean it once in a while in case we might come back." Rune seems to have read my thoughts before he opens his car door to get out.

I also got down from the car, then follows  him behind. We got inside and it feels so comforting and relaxing to see the interior of the house. It was properly cleaned and well organised. You won't think that this house has been vacant for years. The sheets and curtains were new, the sofa was relaxed by something seems to be more comfortable.

"Brings back many memories, huh?" Rune smirked handsomely at me while wrapping an arm around my waist then pulls me closer to him.

"So many." I smiled back and leaned to his body. "Were you already in love with me while we were still here?" I suddenly asked with a curious look, my eyebrows were even frowning.

Rune chuckled. "I've been in love with you ever since we were kids."

"Huh?"

"I already felt something towards you at my first service. The first time that I was assigned to be your bodyguard." He confessed, looking straight in my eyes. "We were just kids but damn...I know I love you since then. The heck with age."

I laughed at his answer and his reaction. "I never thought you have that affection towards me."

"That's because I tried to avoid it so many times." He pinched my nose then distanced a little. "Didn't you know how scared I was when I witness the act that your mother was hugging you, taking the bullet from the enemy? I'm going to be honest, for a ten year old boy, it was very traumatic seeing such scene."

The memory of him holding me and taking me away from the spot, I was very heroic of him. He did that to keep me safe and made me feel secure that no one is going to touch me that night. And I never wanted to remember that moment again.

"Let's just forget the past, Rune and let's move on." I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a peck. "And I'm sure you won't let anything happen to me, right?"

"Of course." He answered without hesitation. "They have to go through me first before they could touch you." Rune traced his fingers at my back, making me feel some tingles. "And speaking of touching you, I badly do want to touch you right now." He whispered sexily at my ear.

"Oh?" I innocently asked, as I raised an eyebrow. "We just got here, Rune. Behave yourself and be a good boy."

"I can't help it. We've been separated for so long and I've been longing for you too much. Making love with you the whole day is still not enough to keep up the lost times." He speaks like he's begging for it and he is even using that seductive voice that makes me shiver.

"Rune." I glared at him, "Behave."

"I don't want to be a good boy." He murmured, trailing kisses down my neck as his hands that was on my back, starts to make their way inside my shirt. "I want to be a bad boy so you could punish me."

"Rune!" I blushed into a very deep red after he said that.

"What?" He acts so innocent. "I'm not doing anything wrong, my lady. I'm just stating what I feel."

"You are seriously not seducing me on a broad daylight." I pinched his chest while his talented hands are still travelling and caressing my skin.

This time, Rune closed the gap between our lips and kissed me savagely. "Not just seducing you, my lady. I'm going to make love to you on a broad daylight and nothing is going to stop me from doing what I want." He spoke with seriously as a sexy grin spreads on his mouth before he suddenly lifts me off the ground and took me to the bedroom. Damn, this man never gets tired.

Guess we won't be meeting the others this morning. We need to wait until the sun goes down.

"Look who is back in St. Dominique!" Yohan cheered as we entered the Inn and supposedly, everyone knows that we are coming back in my surprise. And everyone seems to have gathered up to welcome us back.

The inn was full of people and they have a small band playing at the stage so I'm surprised to see the live energy of the villagers. Everyone that we met was there and some of Rune's friends or any acquaintances.

"Margaret." I greeted the old lady as she was sitting down on one of the vacant table.

"Hello, child. I'm happy to see you again." She smiled warmly, giving me a hug. "You look radiantly glowing. Are you pregnant?"

My eyes widen at her question. "No! Red and I were in a long distance relationship so there is no chance that I'm pregnant." I told her, with a weak laugh. Seriously, I didn't expect that question.

Sarah came to me and gave me a hug as well. "Hey, Carmela! Wow, it's been so long."

"Sarah, hi." I hugged her back. God, I missed her. "I heard that you're the one who is managing this. What happened to your Dad?"

"Oh, Dad got an offer overseas so I took the responsibility of taking over this Inn since I can manage it." She answered.

"Wow, I never thought that I could see you this serious." I joked, playfully tapping her arm. "But, I'm proud of that you can handle this. So, any boyfriend or someone inspiring you right now?"

"We're already married, Carmela." Yohan suddenly blurted out while he was talking to Rune.

My jaw dropped of the news. "Really? Wow, congratulations." I told to the blushing Sarah. "Wow, we were gone for so long."

"Yeah." Sarah nodded in agreement "but I'm really glad that you two are back here."

"Red already came here a couple of months ago and told us that you are coming here for short vacation so we gathered up to have this welcoming party." Yohan told me. I saw Rune talking to some familiar villagers who went up to talk to him.

I also blend in, have some conversation with the people that I knew. Including Clyde. Seriously, I also missed this fellow. He's been one of the person that I can never forget here in St. Dominique.  The man who always tries to flirt with me even if I'm already married. But we are just friends now.

But an hour later of drinking and talking to the villagers, the live band started playing some songs on the stage and the party starts to begin.

The loud cheerful music just makes us want to dance and have fun. And my thoughts just came true when the others started pulling some people at the centre to dance and it became a very fun party.

Sarah and Yohan dances like no one cares and the others were even dancing without any partners. It was such a joy to watch some normal people have fun and they all look so happy.

"Come on, my lady." Rune suddenly pulled me to the dance floor and started to go crazy.

"I didn't sign up for this." I told him, while he dances with me.

"Me either but the happiness in the room is so fun to enjoy. So why not make the best of it while we are here?" He told me then continued dancing with me.

We were twirling around and swaying around even Margaret and his husband are dancing. It was so fun. I was just smiling and laughing the whole time.

The happiness here is just like what happened in Starry Night.

That was the time that I realised that I like Rune and I was too stubborn to admit it.

"Are you alright?" Rune asked me.

"Of course. Why should I be?" I talked back, giving him a kiss for some unknown reason. I just want to do it even if there are some villagers who are watching us.

"Get ready, my love."

"What?" Did he just changed what he usually calls me?

Then suddenly, someone spoke on the stage causing the party to pause for a second and having everyone's attention.

"Good evening everyone, sorry to disturb you but may I just interpret for a few seconds." Yohan said using the microphone and the band stopped playing. "But I would like to invite my good friend on the stage because I think he wants to say something."

Huh?

Rune took his hands off me, squeezing it before letting it go. Why is he going up the stage?

Rune paces up the stage, all eyes on him. Darn, he looks so handsome up there.

Yohan handed him the microphone and Rune took it because it looks like he is going to say something.

"Sorry to cut the party, guys but I just want to say something." Rune told everyone. "First of all, I want to apologise that Carmela and I lied about being married 2 years ago when we lived here." He started off and everyone looks at each other. They didn't seem to care. "But Carmela is always the one for me. She's the woman that I love since then and those moments that I spend with her in this village was the best. Even though we came here with lies."

And that happens to make the villagers think and look puzzled.

"Carmela's real name is Jasmine while my real name is Rune. We lived here because we are hiding from someone. Don't worry, it's not something illegal or so. We came here because one of the reason is I want to be alone with her. I want to live with her and pretend like we're married because that is what I badly wanted to." Rune spoke truthfully. You can see in his eyes that he means very word that he is saying. And I appreciate that everyone is listening carefully.

"And now, in front of you guys, I wanted to show you how much I love her." Rune stated and smiles to the crowd then looks into mine. "Jasmine Waylord, I know you are getting sick of hearing me say this but...I love you. You're the only woman for me and I love every single moments that we spend together. Especially our memories here in this village with them. Because we have gotten to know each other more. And I got to know you more. And I showed you my love in every way I can."

Oh my God, I feel like I can sense something is coming.

And my vision just starts to blur as my starts to pound loudly.

"And right now, having everyone be the witness of my love and devotion to you. I want everyone to know that I wanted you to be my wife." Rune immediately jumps down the stage earning a squeal and cheer from the people inside the Inn.

My knees starts to tremble but I prayed that I won't tumble.

The cheers from the villagers got louder when Rune kneels down in front of me and that moment, I just loose it. I started crying. I can't believe that this is happening.

Rune takes out a ring from his pockets and it sparkles marvellously.

"My lady, will you marry me? This time, I will spend a lifetime loving you and spoiling you." Rune's eyes were so deep into mine and my body starts to shake.

Unable to speak, I nod my head while covering my grin with my hands. "Y-yes. Yes. Yes!"

And at the same time that I said that, drums from the band rings and the Inn was filled with loud and cheerful screams.

Rune sigh in relief and seems to be shock. "Oh my God." He breathe out. Then he raised from the floor to put the ring on my finger. It fits perfectly in my hand.

He pulled me for a kiss and hugged me tightly. "I love you."

"I love you so much." I kissed him back. He had me inside his arms and it feels like he doesn't even want to let me go.

"That was a blast, buddy!" Yohan interrupted us and hugged us both.

"I'm so happy for the both of you." Sarah told us then hugged me as well. "You two deserves each other."

"Congratulations, child." Margaret and his husband speaks to us. Everyone came up to us though, it just happens that I'm bad with names and bad in remembering them.

"Yes, and you have no escape from me now." Rune whispered to my ear. "And I can't wait to tell Stephan and the others about it too."

"I can't wait to tell this to Ariana." I told him then hugged him. My God, this night i received lots of hugs. Who would thought that Rune would propose to me here?

I didn't expect this one coming.

"Wait, did you already told them about this?" I pulled away from him.

Rune smiles then nodded. "I was the one who planned this party, my lady. But the revelations were unplanned. I just want to tell them the truth."

"Well, they deserve to know the truth. At least our real names."

"Yes, and I feel bad that I lied to Yohan about my identity. He's been a good friend."

"I know." I replied. The music changes into a very soft sound and romantic one too. "Come on, let's continue our dance."

"With pleasure, my lady." He bows down dramatically then places his hands on my waist then we softly sways with the music.

"Give it up for Rune and Jasmine, everyone." Yohan said then another heartwarming cheer from everyone.

"You are so unpredictable, Rune. You are always had everything under your control and you never fails to make me feel so loved." I told him.

"Well, that's what you got when you have me. I'm always at your service, my lady." He bends down to kiss me on the lips. And with that, my heart just felt so contented. Everything is just perfect.

I never thought that this day would happen to me.

Rune was right. This is what I get for falling in love with him.
