It was Alex's first day on the job and all he did was meet the crew and help out around the ship.

"Come with me" said Jason. Alex followed him onto a crane where containers are moved from the ship to the dock.

"What do you want me to do?" asked Alex, "pick up a couple tons of cargo?" "I want you to look around" responded Jason, "Cause this is where you will start working."

"At least it's not cleaning duty" said Alex. Jason patted him on the back and walked away.

       Alex looked around the crane and then inside of it. It looked pretty complicated to operate, but he was supposed to have lessons tomorrow.

       "Alex" said Jason, "follow me" Alex had to climb off the crane and follow Jason back to the bridge.

       When they got into the bridge, Jason pointed to the radar, "What do you think that is?" he asked.

       There were two dots on the screen, each coming fast towards them. "I don't know" responded Alex.

       Jason stepped out of the bridge and looked out at the two skiffs. "Pirates" he said.
