I had been dreaming about this moment for months but finally seeing her was like taking a drink at 3am.

My senses overloaded and I wanted to jump over and tackle her with my furious love and affections.

"Catra are you okay" I looked deep into her mismatched eyes.

She gazed back with shock also embarrassment but covering all of that...fury.

"HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME" she screamed with tears streaming down her red cheeks.

I was speechless.

"you...you YOU LEFT ME YOU SELFISH BITCH" she unhooked her empty satchel and threw it into my face.

"C-Catra please"

"DID YOU NEVER CARE, DID YOU JUST FORGET ABOUT ME, WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU ADORA, WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO EVER LEAVE ME,YOU ARE A HORRIBLE FRIEND BECAUSE YOU NEVER CARED ABOUT ME".

Catra had burned herself out. She just covered her face and cried, furious tears that left me with a bucket load of guilt and regret. All I wanted was to see her but the memories of what a horrible friend I had been came back.

"Please Catra " I reached out and rested my hand on her sobbing back. My hand made contact and she went still and silent, the world had stopped around us to it seemed.

Had I tamed the beast.?

She turned with lighting speed and grabbed my wrist. She stood up and judo flipped me over her back and onto the soft ground.

That wind was ripped out of my chest as I made contact with the earth.

"That's what you get for all those years of being a horrible person". Catra's blue and yellow eyes glared down at me.

Even as I gasped for air I admired how beautiful she was.

Her face had matured. It's was long and thin with her feline eyes and cute little nose, she was so different yet the same and with her teeth bared and I could see her little fangs.

"That's the Catra I know" I wheezed out. Her face changed from betrayal to releaved laughter. Her eyes crinkled up and she loosened her grip on me.

I jumped up and wrapped my arms tightly around her.

She was stiff with shock as she straightened up.

I let myself breath in her Spicy,cinnamon sent, she smelled like.. clean washing, cinnamon and a forest after rain, I could stay like that forever.

She melted and relaxed her head on my shoulder and into the crook of my neck. Her warm breath was tickling my skin.

My heart was hammering and it could have been hours we stayed like that.

Catra pushed my away and we sat in silence on the ground. There was so much,I had,I wanted to say but none of it seemed right but it wasn't awkward it was just a sad silence of our broken relationship.

"Catra it's my fault our relationship is so messed up. I did leave you, I found this whole new life, a whole new world and i was selfish and did notice who it would hurt you."

"Please Adora can we just not talk about that, what if we pretended that it was like the old days, that you never left and we are just out here for fun."

"How about a pause button"

"A pause button?" Catra turned her cat eyes onto me causing a small blush to spark up.

"Yeah Glimmer and Bow used it when ever they had really bad fights, they would say pause and the argument would be on hold so they could just relax."

"I don't know who those people are but I do like that idea, should we definitely do that"

We sat in silence for a long time. I was so close to her, I could have held her hands if I stretched out my fingers.

"Hey can I show you something" Catra jumped to her feet and offered her hand to pull me up.

I remember times when we trained, she would always reach out and help me.

I grabbed her warm hand, just like I remembered, and leapt up.

She let go quickly and started to walk towards to small stream. It bubbled happily and Catra plunged her hand into the depths and felt around for a second.

Her tail stood up on end as she triumphantly ripped her hands from the Icy waters with a flat rock in her palm.

"See see, here watch this" a glint of happiness sparkled in her eyes like the sunlight on the water.

She drew her hand back and whipped her hand and let the stone fly, it bounced off the waters surface and crashed into a log across the river.

Catra giggled with pride and scrunched up her eyes.

"Here here you try it" she found another rock and pressed the cold stone into my hand.

I tried to mirror Catra's hand motion. I drew my hand back and let the stone fly.

It soared straight over the water and hit a tree.

Catra found this very pleasing and she jumped with laughter and tears formed in her eyes.

My heart fluttered and I couldn't take my eye off her. She was so so so.... perfect, no , that's not good enough for her. The words left my mouth before I registered it.

"I must have been crazy to lose you"

Catra stopped laughing and looked dead into my eyes. A crimson blush arose over her tan skin and her mouth did a small crooked smile.

I wanted to hug and hold her when she made that face.

"Lets go sit back down" Catra ordered.

"Yeah"

"Who are Bow and Glimmer" she asked and began to pick flowers from the ground around us.

"They are some friends from the castle"
"Are they why you're out here"

She used her claws to pick holes in the stems.

"Yeah they have been fighting"

And before I knew it I began to vent all my emotions.

"I like them but they don't always get me. They can't stop fighting and seem to only care about them selves and their problems, like how Glimmer has a crush on Bow but he so obviously likes boys. The reason why I left was because they have been fighting like maniacs and I just needed to get out."

Catra stood up and placed a perfect daisy chain on the blonde head.

She couched in front of me and brushed a thump across my forehead.

"You can tell me more tomorrow"

And with that she ran into the bushes and her ship took off and left me.
