Chapter 95: Race to Proxim - Hades' Judgement
The night before the raid, Sehki greeted Madam with a bear bug with mountains of passion.
"What's this about?"
"Just in case something happens," always asking her about favor. "Just think about it."
"Only if things get that dire. But avoid Saiban's Twelve. I've heard rumblings about this attempt for a while to boost Saiban's status. They see themselves as knights, but they're glorified pawns. Just focus on getting the girl back."
"Right," giving her one last hug.
That morning, all of the professors barring Wali found traces of an underground tunnel in the cavern, finding a trail of defected and destroyed Switches.
"There's rumors some of the students in House Prometheus are going to attack Erebus," Scald warned.
"Let the students handle it," as they proceeded to get ambushed by numerous oceanic Constains. "We'll stomp out the poison infecting this campus."
The Shadow Brawlers and the heirs woke up, but couldn't find Cassie. Deciding to deal with that later, they started to leave the woods when eight figures blocked their path: all of the Rising Twelve barring Mako and the twins.
"They knew we figured it out?"
Candy jumped in. "His orders were to recover your kidnapped ally!"
Hyuga's eyebrows dropped with fury. "And we'll eliminate him so we can do that ourselves! This hero act while you and Proxim recruit the Nuckelherd is cheaper than a Victory Rider!"
Just as he charged at the prince, several spells pushed him back from continuing. In front of the heirs, the Hydraulic Heralds, the Trembling Terraformers, and the Sky Squadron stood strong.
"You guys?"
Bodin had several Corvus paintings animated. "The heirs don't need to waste time winning a five vs seven"
"The world has already watched us surpass your disappointing circle before," Arian claimed.
"Quiet, piggy," Capel said. "You're just as bad as the smut you write!"
"How could you say that," Kayla yelled, focusing on Ruben. "Didn't we fight Proxim together?"
She struck her chain in frustration at them but Candy froze her chains while Cree swung it away.
"Don't waste your time with them, I'll freeze them before they can even touch you."
"Lore, Sehki, go ahead. This'll be just a playground spat outside the dorms."
Sehki looked at Dango and Meng, both hesitant while drones were recording their staring brawl. Capel and Nyla blocked Bao and Paleun, Hyuga aimed for Bodin's constructs while Bella rode them, Arian smacked a switch from Sven's attempts, Kayla restricted Ruben's clones, Delphine and Mandrew tried holding Dango's snakes at bay.
Meng charged at Cree, gesturing to Candy. The latter molded a frozen bird to carry the other Shadow Brawlers and the heirs away, though Sehki wasn't pleased.
"Who told them we were gonna do this today? We might have a spy in our circle!"
Rigal and Taylor looked away while Ainsley whistled. However, Cassie was flung at them, burning and wheezing. Wali looked down, spotting a larger, gray skinned De:Void Pyralis commanding a herd of flaming horses on all fours to assault his classmates.
"Bring fire to House Prometheus...didn't see that one coming."
Cassie whimpered. "I tried to tell him but Proxim must've gotten to him first."
Sehki sent her to the Health Center, and Lorena asked them all to stop.
"We have to save our magic for Proxim."
"Wash away the herd, I'll handle the rest," diving down to get Pyralis' attention, who shrugged.
"The phoenix who locked me away won't ever see her people rise from their ashes!"
"Sorry, but the only thing rising today is your losing streak against women!"
Taylor and Rigal used the time to create a whirlpool. Lorena's hands spun around it to increase the torque at the building, reducing the horde. Pyralis chucked the other half at Lorena.
"Taylor, water spell at my mouth, quick!"
She swallowed his spell. Came Art: Sizzle Shower, unleashing a shower of water bullets to wash out most of the horde while stretching her neck to strike most of them into the mist.
Pyralis swung to burn her head, but Sehki slid off her neck to slash him in the face, absorbing him to reduce him to half his height before getting struck back.
Enraged, Pyralis stampeded around to pour the flames around him into a giant sphere of flame consuming debris and heat nearby, rivaling the sun in imitation. His classmate's despair were planets orbiting his ascended greatness, ready to illuminate them all.
"I'll destroy you all so Kesh and Proxim won't have to worry!"
Sehki envisioned seeing the aftermath of dead bodies if he didn't put his all into it when Lorena wrapped their arms together.
"Gonna let that happen?"
"As if," when Pyralis galloped into the sky to slam his miniature sun down.
"If the heavens say I'll die for my dream, you'll all join me! Heaven's Judgement!"
Lorena and Sehki yelled out their Zodiacs, molding the soil beneath her into a mountain half the size of House Prometheus while he covered himself in just the shadow aura, amazed.
"We've always defied the odds when our stars crossed. So when your bullies claim it's a choice of heaven."
He smiled. "Then we raise hell upon them!" He activated Neptune's Necrosis, weaving the dark sea into a rising storm for Lorena to spring the mountain into a drill, both flying with spiraling momentum.
"Hades' Judgement!"
Together, they drilled further through Pyrali's wrath and rage, allowing the darkness to submerge it, pierce through the spell and make it explode in Pyralis' face. They deactivated their Zodiacs once he crashed to the ground.
"That training really paid off, huh."
An injured Pyralis jetted to them when Meng bear tackled his brother to cancel his flames with his own, allowing the two to yank the remaining Void energy out.
"Meng?"
"Just saving my brother. Hurry."
"I'll stay behind to help out the house. Go stop Proxim," Lorena said, choosing to get Pyralis treatment, giving Sehki a peck before stretching him back to hurl him at the others.
