Chapter 91: Raging Current! Rigal vs Cassie!
"Shouldn't a prince be protecting their people! Oh right, you only show up at the last minute while everyone does the hard work!"
He pointed to her gauge. Yours will run out first!"
A drone captured their focus for everyone to see. De:Void Cassie charged at him with great force, shoulder tackling him towards the subway. He flipped off it to get behind, punching Eagusts to push her into the moving vehicle.
"Malora's Mask!" She detached the follicles not being used in her army to chase after him, forcing him to fly under the tunnel to escape her hair drones her fingers commanded.
"You won't escape! Flute of Fly!"
She punched and kicked with the horsepower to create air blasts pushing Rigal out of the tunnel when one connected. He did his best to block them, but she bounced off the bridge, dog tagging him in close combat with a brutal melody of kicks sending him crashing.
"We're not done!" She pushed off several trees in pursuit while used the momentum from her attacks to retreat into the park, counting the time of her spell and swinging off the trees each and every time.
She seemingly cornered him at the suburban shop district, forcing him to catch a nearby hoverboard to save energy, grinding on the air pressure of her Sundown Seamstress while making sure they hit her Constains attacking the populace, allowing Sehki to absorb them.
From the left, Candy and Cree were shielding his mom from a giant metal needle made from a Saiban shipment while she generated a wyvern spell from his magic to shoot a frozen blizzard while Wali and Lorena's arms and tongue tried to restrain the dragon.
"Get back here!"
She kicked him towards the Sky N Fly Podcast studio building, making him cushion himself as Taylor and Ainsley made a water pillar to help Sehki out, watching him struggle.
Cassie was charging a white sphere of light in each hand, charging at him.
"No choice huh," pressing a button as an R & B Song started playing. "Eagle's Mate!"
He fired a quick wind blast covering her arms, striking up his arms in both directions. Against her will, Cassie's body mimicked Rigal's, whose dance made her spell whiff as he made her hand swing down as she tried to fire another one.
Confused, she could only stare at her hand lowering down as their chests approached one another. Both repelled each other, slashing the ground around her when he made them both spin.
Rigal proceeded to sashay and snap his fingers, but as her body copied it, she noticed too late she cut the part of the roof she was standing on. The severing split made her fall. Flabbergasted, she crashed into the entrance despite being able to fly.
Sehki blinked while his peer used the distraction to hit her with a barrage of Eagusts.
"Did he just use wind magic to make her body dance?"
Ainsley and Taylor's eyes didn't look pleased.
"So Delta brought up the number one Lyra Fighter Medaro Hasty to train us and it was a nightmare. She made our bones twist and turn in every way possible."
"I thought Lyra StellArts shot concentrated music energy. Someone not a heir managed to make you guys sweat?"
"She performs with her magic so precisely, she can turn any ounce of that power into targeting the melody of someone's movements and making them parrot every action. Rigal was willing to get so strong, he tried replicating it off the clock."
"So that's how you got more agile Ains, neat. Wait," snickering at Taylor, "is that what led to you two making out?"
He denied it while Rigal jumped down, reminding them to focus as Cassie got up, attempting to hit him even as he sidestepped her dashes. He tried the same technique again, but the boost from the possession made her crush the spell and roundhouse him in the face.
His large physique didn't stop his attempts to evade but she hoove-enhancements pushed him back with every rapid barrage.
"What's wrong? Can't hit a woman when the world's watching this time?!" She decked him so hard his body was carried several miles through the window of an elite fae's bathroom.
Apologizing to the family, he snatched a shower rod and channeled wind through it for her arrival, taking a page from Cree and tossing it like a buzzsaw.
"Specter Derechos!" She made a shield to block it, but he grabbed and slammed it down onto her. Both Egle and Malora auras leaked as they jousted, pummeled and bounced off each others attempts to circle around for an opening.
With an overhead kick and coating her feet with a majority of her hairs, both kicked the other hard enough to send them plummeting into an arcade. He was the first one to get up, staring at a particular game.
"Connections of Grisel?"
Cassie's De:Void state offered her enough sanity to walk towards it.
"Ceph would bring me here to play the co-op after our parents passed away. We only had each other," recalling the two of them earning the high score. "Even though Pan was the central guy, he knew I loved being Grisel by his side," laughing at the good times.
"I used to hold him back, but he kept encouraging me until I got good enough to keep up with his track."
"You were CCSibs? I came here after the Shakuheld's died trying to get my mind off it," remembering meeting Mandrew but never able to get the top score.
She nodded. "He promised when he came back, we'd save enough to buy the official release," glaring at him. "But that can't happen anymore."
"Then live for his sake! Is this the person he would've wanted you to be? A terrorist harming lives he meant to protect?"
"No, but I can stop all you royal families from making more victims like him!"
