Two hands pushed the giant snake's jaws away from him, throwing them upwards before one wrapped around Sehki while the other propelled them forward to the user, kicking them into the sky.

He turned to his savior. "Lore!"

"I can't leave you alone for one minute," she teased as her legs stretched around the Serpens In:Void, squeezing the life out of it for him to crush and eat their essence, saving the user and tossing him to other classmates they told to get him medical attention.

"Can't argue there," spotting students from his class in Jovetress Transits. "Come."

She swung them from the Malefic Marshed to the library as Unicorn Constains running up the walls, jumping off to impale them much to Candy's horror. But on their side, her replacement ran up the faces of Indus and Toucan level two beasts.

Bella landed on their shoulders. "I got this! Ride back and enjoy the show!" With a massive leap, the force from her feet blasted the unicorns she jumped off, while a Toucan kicked Lorena into wrapping her free arm around its beak before it could spit its beak blast as the Lepus fae arrived.

"Bella Hind at your service! I hare you need help!"

Sehki tried not to laugh, throwing the ice sword at the Toucan beat's throat. Fearful of the magic power in its mouth's imploding or exploding into the library of survivors, he decided to use his own. Lorena agreed to an Asterism Art, only for Bella to hold onto them, offering a triple version.

They nodded, synchronizing their energy into their feet, wrapped in Sehki's shadow while Lorena pulled themselves to it under the light of the rising moon.

"Twilight!"

"Victory!"

"Impact!"

Their kicks drove the blade through the avian's body, falling towards the library. Spotting the beak about to open and blow up the roof, Lorena held it up by the neck, Bella used her fists and bunny ears to smash it while Sehki twisted the blade inside of it before ripping it out.

The two pounded and slashed rapidly. He decapitated it for Lorena to crush it, slicing the rest of the Void into pieces and essence, twirling it around with the sword before holding it above, letting his shadow consume.

"She's like Xia but without the sadistic tunnel vision!"

"Valencia, Candy, Madam, Calypsa, Delta, Amarilis,: your only criteria for accepting women in your life is the bare minimum for human decency."

"Something you said most fae lack. So why did you take yourself off the list?"

" You weren't mad when I pretended to betray you."

"I know you're not like that. Right now you're saving the people who slandered you for leaving Taylor."

"Call it intuition, but kindness is your strength, I don't want someone to use it as a weakness."

"You think there's a traitor in our midst," rightfully assuming her claims. "Calypsa?"

"She's the only one who pulled up with you, but whatever her intentions are, your safety's of her concern the most. I'm just worried," shaking her hand, "I won't be able to protect you."

He clutched her finger for finger. "That won't happen. The old you was always looking out for people, now you're out in the open. You and Calypsa have your own strengths, and that'll get us through tonight."

She hesitantly garnered her wits back up, but not before telling him his true suspicions.

"Wait, Cluster took them out first?" He made a call to Ainsley, who contacted Bethany. Spotting the drones in the sky, he also made a call to the Bistro.

"Madam?"

"She's a little busy," leaving the lovers alarmed at the sound of a plate crash.

"Sorry about that. Someone's broadcasting what's going on at the school and the dread's brought Voids over to Cusp," letting them hear the sounds of a choking Void with her rapier impaling their mouth before burning away the rest in a blaze of heat. "The militia should be on their way."

"There's someone who we think could be Cluster."

Lorena's words got her thinking. "If that's true, don't let them bring everyone into despair. That's what the Voids want. Sehki, you escaped that hopelessness once before. In that moment, show your resolve to the whole world. That's the only way you will survive tonight."

In the time it took for Sehki to endure the weight of her words, she somersaulted with rising heat, transferring it into her rapier before stabbing the growing Constain and dropping it into the ground, rolling underneath. In mere seconds her run to the entrance left every Void in her path destroyed.

"Madam~"

"You're ready," staring at the flicker of a flickering light emulating the Zodiac. "I want my student and beloved to come back in one piece. I'll bring you back and train you again if you fail."

"I'll hold you too it. Stay alive, master."

As he hung up, he and Lorena jumped into the Jovetress Transits, finding his old classmates hiding away from naive prey eagerly hunting them down from corridor to corridor. As a Voidvok turned the corner, Lorena's stretchy punch weakened it for Sehki to slash and absorb in seconds.

"You're back?"

"I said if this world needed me, didn't I? Besides, you all dealt with Xia for almost a whole year and you're afraid of level ones?"

"They can swallow our magic! We aren't like you heirs!"

"Think so?"

As some dropped books, alerting their presence, Lorena's hands extended to pull them up into the air, prompting Sehki to grab two text books, hurling them into their mouths. They struggled to take them out as he impaled the blade into them and devoured their essence.

She pulled two by their legs and slammed them into the stairwell, firing coiled fists to eliminate them.

"It's okay to be afraid. It's not okay to do nothing. We're going to stop the guy responsible. But I need your help to do it."
