Chapter 12: Reaching the Altar

The shock of the arrows even appearing forced his shield to take the hit sending him high into the sky. Saliva slipped out of his mouth, stuck in astonishment.

"Your Zodiac, Sagittarius?"

"I'd prefer something more graceful," about to fire arrows with seals on them. "But this should pin you down for good."

He fired them, forcing Sehki to air boost away, only for the seals on the arrow to emit two more streams, with a third one coming from the ceiling.

"Goodbye, Sehki Shakuheld."

Surrounded by all three massive forms of flame, Sehki understood the full scoop of power he was truly up against: another ceiling he'd have to climb.

"Apus!"

A large tower of air pushed the flames upward, allowing Calypsa to tackle him to safety. Spotting Ainsley's golem having thrown her, he blew the embers surrounding them away.

"Oh thank you so much," hugging her.

A smirk of confidence popped on her face she quickly savored.

"You've got the right idea, but you're missing a step."

"He can summon or release the seal on anything he's covered! I've seen this before in a story that Flint and I watched once. The guy fought an opponent who could absorb magic by summoning natural elements from other places. But he's been summoning magma from almost every aspect of the battlefield. They're endless!"

She flew them from the small, but deadly emerging flames trying to tag them in the air.

"Infinite is a concept, not reality, my prince. They have a lot, but they have to be re-sealed too, and those cost magic too. Pressuring them by attacking from all angles would work, so the final step is to?"

"Restrict his movements into the air so we could get to his blind spot," only spotting her phone was calling Ainsley, who was trying to convince the others to try.

"So, ready to motivate them?"

"On it, let's go."

She flew down fast enough for his feet to pick up rocks from the molten rock around his feet while she yelled Eridinus. The river didn't bother Jun immediately, jumping and stadium above it, only for her to yell Crux.

A giant x shaped blast ripped through the ground and waves, sending debris flying. Jun flicked his wrist but the combination of both material endured the force, allowing Sehki to kick back the physical heat at him.

"Cassiopeia!"

A giant dust cloud from her staff rose up, forcing Jun to rise even higher to evade both. Now his body jumped from barely visible platform to platform as the sand formed arms Sehki jumped in pursuit. The Planetary President smacked him towards the ground.

But Calypsa yelled, Volans, flying around in a water jet to catch him and launch herself to attack.

"I'm not as good as Taylor," converting the water into the shape of an human sized fish, which Sehki added some water too when both palm smacked it towards Jun, burning it to bits.

She yelled Aqulia, conjuring up a tornado as Sehki transformed into his Victory Rider persona, making the gun fire quick blasts the vortex conjured up before launching omnidirectionality.

Jun casually flipped, dodged, and somersaulted away into the aerial space, carefully torn on what to do as a giant phoenix came flying towards him.

Ainsley put it together. "They're using all of our moves."

The Ara StellArts user shot it down, but out from their ashes, Sehki bounced off Calypsa's feet to reach and swing for the near invisible platforms Jun gathered to get behind him.

The senior fae turned back immediately to parry and catch his limbs, stabbing his arrows into the shadow while engulfing it in fire via his aura.

"Your efforts are starting to become rather tiresome, manifesting flames across his hands to plunge into Sehki when Calypsa flew in between them." Whatever exchange of looks between them prompted him to switch the color of flames from fire to purple, elating Calypsa with joy.

"What are you trying to pull, Castor?"

"Just keeping my promise to you," touching her chest with joy and calling on Vulpecula, leading him to punch a mirage. The real variants had a reinvigorated Calypsa blasting back the rising pillar Jun summoned with Antlia while Sehki launched condensed water instead.

"This challenge is starting to bore me," flying past the water spells to knee Sehki and Calypsa into the ground.

He dived down, about to pincer them with a burning arrow and a trap from below when Xia's fist grinding against the weapon, while Ainsley swept the debris of their feets, creating a golem of igneous rocks from the ground.

This one endured the pain from the fire tower while Xia's phoenix avatar briefly manifested around her.

"He's my prey. I'll defeat him! Not you!"

"Then show me that conviction!" He spun and slammed the other arrow into her chest, lifting her up when Taylor zoomed in to catch her, shooting two fin shaped water blasts Jun spun from.

"Calypsa, why didn't you tell me I could do stuff like that!?"

"You wasted too much magic during training," she teased.

"Wasting your breath during a fight is suicide!"

Jun's hands swung parallel to fire two flamethrowers at the trio below and duo above.

"Skyfall Smash!"

The storms from Rigal's fists shielded them in time from Jun's surprise.

"You think we're not alpha enough? I'll live stream this whole fight and show the world how wrong you are!"

Sehki gleefully sighed. He's a little confused, but he's got the right spirit, spotting his phone recording them from afar. But all of them surrounding Jun was the turning point they needed.

"Don't let up!"

All five of them put their respective element into their hand while Calypsa shot an Andromeda chain Jun pierroted from, taking a deep breath.

"All that effort and still not one hit."

"Oh, it'll happen. What are we?"

Side by side, they roared.

"The Divine Heirs!"
